You guys, my first review of this place is 5+ years ago and I've been back as many times. It's a bittersweet place because it's my "last night" dinner. After many visits, I'm still loving it - the food is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff is charming. Check it out.

Foods were delicious, great ambiance, and helpful staffs. The risotto cooked perfectly! I got the white fish with house white sauce (tasta like fennel, garlic, but creamy), that was the best dish for me! Duck breast cooked well and it was very tender. Staffs were helpful despite our limited French. There is no English menu so needs to do a bit translation from the French menu. The place gets crowded quickly, so make reservations or come early! Great place to try French foods and enjoy the meals with a Parisian ambience. Close to the subway as well! Need green pass to dine in :)

We enjoyed this restaurant but it was a bit pricey. We went for lunch and it was quite empty. The food was delicious. My scallops were cooked absolutely perfect but I think the risotto could've used more flavor. The duck breast was cooked beautifully. Very nice restaurant and staff. The meal felt quite light even though it seems like it would be a heavy meal which I thought was great. Very good.

We wandered into this hotel when we realized we'd gotten fairly hungry without firm plans for dinner. Atmosphere here is charming, service: charming; food, very good. I started with the escargot and had some sort of fish special, I can't recall the fish, but it was all delicious and fresh.

Definitely a great atmosphere with wonderful staff. The food was good. A bit underwhelming. We had the French onion soup which was OK. Not a great amount of flavor. The escargot was better. The snails were a bit on the small size. The shrimp salad was heavily dressed. The wine was small pours. A bit surprised given some of the reviews.

This place was so yummy! Minus one star because the place is so tiny, we were packed in like sardines. Tables are really close to each other, I could have forked my neighbors food. All jokes aside, I would recommend.

Hmmmm had high hopes for this place but the food was just not good. It was not to my liking seasoning wise, ambiance was good and it was very busy. Staff was also friendly.

Lamb: Very tender and well-marinated - no gamey tastes at all. It's all in the sauce. The carrot was also good. The portion is a bit small. Duck Breast: Really savory and delicious and rich. The duck is also really tender. The berry sauce adds just the perfect amount of sweetness. All of the dishes came with mashed potatoes, which was appreciated because the dishes weren't too filling. Moelleux: Decadent and creamy. Really nice finisher! The hard sugar piece on top was all right, it tasted okay but got stuck in my teeth. They have a great menu - unfortunately, they did run out of many menu items by the time we were seated at 8 PM. Servers were friendly and offered to translate the menu for us. Prices are quite reasonable for Paris - for example, they offer 12 escargots for 12 euros (!).

Had a wonderful meal - the duck was perfectly cooked as well as the Steak which was the chef's special for the day " Babette, sauce Eschote, Salade, Frites" We went for desert as well, my wife had the crème brûlée which she described as BnB light and delicate with just the right amount of sweetness.

We loved this place for the following reasons: 1. You can easily book reservations through their website and don't have to call or email. 2. The waiter was very nice and read us the entire menu in English to help us translate. 3. The cheese plate and escargot were very nice. 4. I had veal with foie gras on top and she had seared duck and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received. Everything was great.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

As a Chinese, I understood more than 50% of the conservations (Chinese). Which doesn't mean anything about the food. Just observation. Onion soup - 2 stars. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

The Ravioli Dauphine was perfectly cheesy, just needed some extra salt. The Chickpea Fries and Warm Goat Cheese were nice starters, and I liked the bread basket that was given freely - especially the inclusion of a walnut raisin bread. Simple classic French cuisine. We shared the mini raviolis stuffed with mushroom and a foie gras sauce. Wow. And shared their famous beef bourguignon. The tender beef, the sauce! I love the way they plate it too. Delicious. And a bottle of Cabernet Franc from Bourgueil (Loire Valley). The second visit (3 star) was very different from the first visit.
