I stopped by today for an adjustment to my glasses that I purchased from glasses.com, a sister company to Lenscrafters. The customer service at this location was terrible. There were two people in particular. A male and female who I had 2 different encounters with on different days. Monday I went in inquiring about a pair of frames I saw online. I asked the female ( she looked around mid 30-40s dirty blonde short bob haircut) what the process would be and she gave me a disgusted look and pretty much told me to "f off" with my questions. I left and returned the next day and had another encounter with a male (mid 20s-30s who had his nails done) and he had the absolute worst attitude when I had a couple of questions regarding frames as well. I went in person to compare prices and get an opinion to make sure I go the correct lens and frames. The quote he gave me in store was $150 dollars more than what I was going to get with the exact same order online. When I said "it's seems like a better deal to get them online then huh" he rolled his eyes and scoffed and said "yeah I mean I guess, if that's what you wanna do." I'm not sure if they work off commission or what their issues were but I don't believe this was a one off in terms of their attitudes. If I could give a zero I would. This place is stuck in March of 2020, forcing masks on their patrons. Masks are no longer required, nor needed, and never prevented the spread of disease. The fact that this facility has so little respect for their customers that they would impose their personal OPINION (because that's all it is is an opinion that masks work) onto their customers should be enough for customers to realize this place does not care one bit about them. The Fabio looking man in front was not even wearing his mask properly, he was wearing it under his nose. That shows what a mockery their mask policy is anyway. He also told someone "C@vld starts behind the counter." Even the staff is not taking the mask policy seriously, yet they will make their valued customers wear them. Ridiculous. I will never step foot in another LensCrafters. I will be writing corporate, and would also encourage everyone to boycott LensCrafters until they forego their stupid mask policy. *update...after many people referring me to the same business the following day I booked a same day appointment at America's Best down the street by 5 and Below. I was treated with excellent customer service from start to finish with nobody trying to infringe on our rights by masking us. America's Best cares about their customers unlike LensCrafters. I had a contact exam and then trial contact lenses. They tested the trial lenses and failed to see that the lens was rotated. So I ordered lenses (3 months supply). I noticed that the right eye was consistently blury. They measured and found that the rotation was wrong and gave me corrected trials for the one eye. However, they are not going to cover the cost of re-ordering the corrected lens 3 months supply. I will have to pay for this which is the result of their failure to confirm the proper lens in the first place. I must throw away the 3 months supply of the wrong lenses. And pay $138.00 for the correct ones. read more

I have gone to this this LensCrafters many times over the years. I have gotten maybe 3-4 frames and have ordered contacts through them multiple times. A few months ago I ordered a 6 month supply. 4 of the ones for my left eye split. After wearing them 4-5 times, the left one would always hurt and then I would see that it was split. And this happened with 4, right in a row. I've worn contacts for over 5 years and of course a lense may split on you occasionally, but never 4 in a row and from the same box. Obviously, there was a defect. Products have defects sometimes. This is a well known fact and I thought people were aware of this but apparently I was wrong. I went into LensCrafters and explained the situation. The lady acted like I was lying right off the bat and then went and spoke with the doctor. She came back and basically told me I was lying and that the doctor said that I needed to be more careful. She also said that they've never had a problem with them before and the material is very tough. To be treated like I was a liar and a thief was extremely rude and disturbing. I will never go back there again and plan to take this matter above their heads. read more

Updating my review.. this is the worst eye place EVER!!! I needed a pairs of contacts for a triathlon. I placed my order 6 weeks before my race. They told me my contacts would be ready in 3-4 weeks, which is kind of long. I call on 3 separate occasions- they only have my right contact, then they said I never made an order, then they have both contacts so I need to pay $100 for the dr to watch me put my contacts in. Uhhh.. what? That doesn't include the price of the contacts, which they can't tell me. Unprofessional.. like I could have snatched that girl through the phone. read more

Haven't had a chance to post this yet. Calling this place, you need to have customer service experience. Called multiple times. Very rude. Gave excuses for why it was taking so long. "I'm with a customer right now" then got hung up on. As a manager at my job, I am disappointed with this company. I felt like I was at work and on the phone with a difficult customer. If your employed at a job, a big part of that job is also the customer experience so you get repeat customers. I don't like writing bad reviews. I typically love to write about my good experiences. Worst customer service imaginable. I went to the counter and asked if the pair of sunglasses I was holding came with polarization and if so what was the price. After 10 minutes of entering in my information into the system (which apparently is required to do a price check), the employee said $79.95 (same as the tag on the glasses, very interesting I thought). So I said, "Great, I would like to purchase them." Then another employee came to the counter and said, "excuse me." She pushed our employee aside and proceeded to ring up another customer while my employee walked away and began assisting another customer... I was floored and asked, "What just happened??" The employee who said, "excuse me" was clueless that she had just interrupted our transaction and said she'd be happy to ring us up after she finished with her customer. So I waited... Then she had to re-look up our info again and I had to explain from the start that I wanted to purchase these sunglasses with polarization added. She took her time and said, "Okay, that will be $200+" REALLY???? So I asked for the original employee to return and explain why all of a sudden there is a huge price change. At that point, the original employee told me that she quoted me for the non-polarized lens....WHICH I ALREADY KNEW, because I have eyes and had read the price tag before approaching the counter. My son recently got glasses and is still getting used to them, so he has had accidents with his glasses where the frames get broken. Thankfully he has the insurance plan to cover most of the costs, but LensCrafters is always very professional, courteous, and works hard to make sure we have new frames in a timely manner! Luckily they even offer a one year warranty on my glasses that helps for that I'm not spending hundreds of dollars every couple of months for a new pair . Definitely the place to go . Another Bad Experience at Lenscrafters. Do not go to either the Palmdale or Lancaster Lenscrafters, you'll get ripped off. I have had nothing but problems this year with the glasses that I have purchased from Lenscrafters. A pair of glasses that I purchased in December 2011 broke a about a month ago. This is the second pair this year. I take good care of them so the only reason for them breaking is that they must be poorly made. When I just went to pick up the replacement glasses that I had to pay for, I was told that I could not take my old pair with me so that I could have as a back up. I went through 2 managers and even though that couldn't produce anything in writing that showed this policy they still kept my glasses. I paid for these. You have just turned a long time customer to a never again customer. I have my own business and would not treat my customers that way. read more

I live in Glendale and because they don't have the specific glasses (Ray-ban) that i want, i asked the lady to check Palmdale or Lancaster if they have it, just to try it on and see how it looks on me since i will be visiting a friend there. The lady was nice and approachable. I saw her badge name, she's the MANAGER. Before trying the glasses on, i see that the lenses are dirty/dusty and there's finger prints all over. Knowing that people try them on and i have no problem with that.. but when i asked for Kleenex or something to wipe them and clean them before i could try them so i can see clearly even if i know that that is not the prescription one, the manager went in the front (not sure if she cleaned them coz it was still dirty) and told me, oh it's okay, this is not gonna be the prescription one, it's just the sample. hmm.. I think everyone knows that and we are not stupid. I just let it go. So i asked if she could send me a new one and order it (i have no problem waiting just to get a new one). She said, no we dont usually do that. But the other employee (male) said to her, "yes, we can." I told them, really? Bcoz the lancaster did order them for me and i got a new one, everything new (I was disappointed). But she said she will check if she can order for me. I waited. Then she said she can't order them, it wont allow her. So i let it go and told her okay i will get it. She asked me if i want their lenses or ray-ban lenses and i said whats the difference? She said "The price. But theyre almost the same." I said really? She said "ray-ban is better but if you dont wanna pay much then go for our lenses." I asked how long will it take? She said, takes about an hour to an hour and half. I said okay. The glasses were not cheap but it's okay as long as theyre good quality and bcoz i always go for the best. When i came back to get my glasses, one of the associates asked me if i need help and i told her im here to get my prescription and i talked to Therese the manager. The manager was infront of me but was busy and didnt even talk to me or approach me, just like that. But the associate asked her and she said "yes, just get the prescription inside" and she went to help another customer. I just let it go. When i tried my glasses, i didnt like the lenses! They were thick! (Maybe bcoz thats my prescription) I didnt have time to ask or anything bcoz i was in a hurry. But not giving me a bag for my glasses, that i think is not good either. I just really think that the manager was being lazy (about the kleenex) bcoz first and foremost, you need to clean them before handling to your customer (like in Glendale and Lancaster) unless they wanna try them on already. She also doesnt have enough knowledge about what shes selling. She just wanna sell what's in there and get rid off them even if it was dirty. So unprofessional! I went back to Glendale bcoz i wasnt happy about my purchase i was gonna return it but the guy gave me an option. I asked why my lenses are thick. He said, "they gave you the cheapest and fastest service which you can get within an hour." I felt that! she was in a rush of selling that to me even if i know she can order it. So the guy told me that i can get their thinnest one or ray-ban lenses but it will cost more. I have no problem with that. He told me the difference and gave me the numbers. He is more knowledgeable and professional! I even asked him if he can order a new frame for me? He said, absolutely! We will order the frame and lenses, everything new. In my opinion, Lenscrafters are one of the expensive prescription glasses even if they have this good deals or discounts. They have branded names and we expect GOOD QUALITY of service too, perhaps even BETTER service! The guy in glendale was really great! And he even told me to keep my glasses (the one i purchased, even if i wanna return it already) so i can use it until the new one comes. That was really nice and it supposed to be like that. Oh well, it hasnt been a week yet since i bought it and look what happened! The lense came off all of a sudden! Soooo CHEAP! It was poorly attached to the frame. This weekend my son was home from the Navy visiting for Mother's Day and needed a pair of glasses although they get them free to lenses in the frames are not the best in the Navy so I took him to this LensCrafter in Palmdale and still receive the same genuinely helpful people even last minute of getting his prescription faxed over they were very helpful with everything. My son was very thankful that he was able to get his glasses and a frame that he likes. I highly recommend this place for glasses and exams. read more

Dr. Healy is excellent but this place has horrible customer service!! Took my son in for an exam (Dr was great) and paid $275 for kids glasses. Flash forward over a week later I call to see if they're ready. The girl on the phone has a huge attitude and says "if we didn't call you they're most likely not ready". I asked her to please check anyway (they weren't ready) because I didn't receive a call when my own glasses came into their store. Another week later I call again and the guy says he can't check because the store is busy so he can take my name and call me back. So ridiculous! Went through all the exams. She even comforted me when the doc told me I had to wear bifocals She fitted me with two pairs of Ray Bans (they don't fall off my face). Took my daughter to lens crafters as cash pay. The exam was about $75. They got us in for appt quick next day. However I felt like the appt was not a serious assessment, more nonshalont. My daughter was only turning 12 and had been complaining a while of not seeing well distance wise. I told the Dr and had a few questions but I felt like he was rushed and didn't like me inserting myself. He talked to me like I was not that bright and said she has football eyes and needs a script. Not very informative or interested in ensuring we had a pleasant experience. Won't go back. And there is 4 of us in my family that would have needed to get rechecks. Lost business. I come back in and told them the lens that they just put in fell out assuming they would honor the fact that it was two days ago and fix it. They asked "did u get our insurance? ".
