The one lady at the front desk is rude. I asked them for something very simple and being a well educated person I know she was blowing smoke up my behind. I asked for something very simple and she wouldn't do it. I mean I know why they did it because they want me to come in so they can charge my insurance for an eye exam that I don't even need right now because the glasses I have are just fine. They don't want me ordering glasses online because they want to charge me for what I am asking for by making me do am appointment. You know it's no wonder they have so many bad reviews on Yelp. It's funny because reading through the Yelp reviews I see this lady has done the exact same thing to other people. read more

My experience with Esmeralda at my optometry appointment was disappointing. I found her to be rude and sarcastic throughout the appointment, and I did not appreciate the way I was treated. I believe patients deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, and unfortunately, that was not my experience. However Dr.Baker was amazing! read more

I went a few days ago, let me just say horrible customer service from the lady with the gray hair. Very rude especially when I told her I told I didn't feel comfortable saying my social security number out loud in public, laughed and did a smirk like if she was annoyed. I work in healthcare and I never ask a patient to say it out loud when I do eligibility checks. I guess different protocols in different settings. Then when im told to go to the back to check out the glasses I didn't see anything I liked so I go back to her and ask if I can go to the room they have to see if I like anything (since I've been a prior patient yrs ago I know about it) and she's like yeah. I go back and out of respect and privacy to the patient and dr that are in the room I'm waiting outside in there hallway. The dr and patient come out and the same gray hair receptionist goes into the hallway looks at me goes back to the front and calls in a patient. Keep in mind I had asked her and I was waiting. Seriously?! When I had called days before the girl I spoke to didn't say I needed an appointment to look at the glasses but if I needed to make one to get better service they should've said so! If I could report all this to the board I definitely would! I understand the stress with working with patients but "US" as employees in healthcare need to keep in mind patients is what brings revenue into the business and if you give horrible service and reading other reviews you do, it's not a good thing that's were patients go to other places. I went to Walmart instead. Way better service I was in and out in like 15 minutes. So just take your money elsewhere. Side note: If there isn't enough staff or if you don't like your work environment simply just look for a different one! read more

Took my dad in, to see Dr. Baker she was very friendly and patient with explaining everything to my dad. We were in and out quickly

Got nice frames, nice vibes, worked with my vision insurance and promptly resolved a clerical error on my insurance's part without any hassle. New management seems better. read more

If I can give -5 stars I would. I'm frustrated by the lack of support or customer service. I came in to inquire about an eye exam that I can pay out of pocket for my mom. I was repeatedly told to go back where I got the last exam from and was refused service to get a correct one. I felt annoyed! At this point I asked again to make sure that's what I heard. What company hires ppl to many them loose business? I don't feel it has nothing to do with race. But clear laziness. Btw I wasn't even offered an opportunity to set up an appointment. I refuse to bring my mom here. We will go where I know she will be in good hands. read more

4th time going there. Always good service. Never any issues. Great doctors easy parking available. Good for $$$$.

Great service ,Nice staff.....They have a great selection of eye wear. Received my ordered lenses in acouple of days. Dr . Vu and her staff are always friendly read more

Have not been to see Dr. Baker since before the Pandemic. I appreciated her professionalism and the staff was always cordial. Well, this is no longer the case! Dr. Baker performed my examination abd felt she needed to increase my distance as welll as my reading prescription. When I received my bifocals there was a problem with my prescription. Long story short, it took almost 2 months to have my prescription corrected and returned to me. The office staff are not the same professional individuals I once encountered. Their position is to contact a patient when their glasses were ready which they failed to do not once but multiple times! Not really sure if Dr. Baker is quite aware of the inconsistency and lack of proficiency her staff is providing her patients! I will no longer be a patient of Palmdale Optometry and I felt it necessary to share my unpleasant experience. read more

I was not completely satisfied with my visit due to the fact that I was charged for a retinal exam (should of been covered with insurance) and the doctor didn't even dilate my eyes. The exam was super quick and I felt like it wasn't thorough. I most likely won't be returning or recommending Palmdale Optometry. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I bring my whole family here with PPO insurance and my appts were canceled a day before due to the dr having an emergency (fine life happens) BUT the reschedule is around their schedule not mine! Rude!!! I scheduled this appt for 1/28 at least four weeks ago & now they tell me the next Saturday isn't until four weeks later?! Dr. You can call me when you want my business. read more

My first visit went ok. After getting my eyes checked I received new contacts. Had to order glasses as well and was rushed through the whole process. I picked out frames and had to tell them that I needed transitions. They didn't ask any questions about the glasses I was ordering. 2.5 weeks later and I have not yet received my glasses. They keep saying they are waiting for the order to arrive. I will never go back to them ever. Very unprofessional and rude. read more

The front desk staff is horrible, I talked to a person by the name of Esmerelda who was very rude. She did not want to help me with anything and would not give me a copy of my records or try to help me get more information. When I asked for help with something regarding my prescription she said "I'm not doing that" without letting me finish my sentence. Never going back here ever again read more

We went here a couple years ago with my kids and it was great, Dr. Vu was very helpful and friendly. We've been trying to make appts. again and they rarely answer the phone and don't return messages. Need better staff. Were going somewhere else with better service for now. read more

It's been a while since I've returned for my annual checkup. Sorry Dr. Vu! I have to drive a long distance but it was well worth it. I am always so pleased by the level of professionalism and the quality of customer service I receive here. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE, and Very Unprofessional. I asked a simple question about how much it would cost to add prescription to a frame and the lady went off on me saying she needs to know the EXACT patient name and prescription needed. I could understand that of course, but she kept raising her voice at me demanding the information "needed" when my question was just asking for an estimated cost. Since Costco does it for $80. I won't ever be back and I will tell everyone to stay away. GO TO COSTCO.! read more

I recently had a bad experience with an appointment here, but I must say they have completely changed my mind and I will continue to be a patient. I work far and usually don't get home until there office is closed so Dr vu herself has come in and seen me 2 Saturday's in a row. They have friendly staff and after a misunderstanding with my pre-op appointment they have gone out of there way to give me great customer service and apologized for misunderstanding. read more

I have been there quite a few times for myself, with my son and my mother. Each time the staff were not very helpful and seemed to be overworked and unhappy. You can spend anywhere from an hour to two hours here. Be prepared. Warm welcome and nice entrance but the person who gets information to order glasses is not very good at her job and I was rushed because she had other obligations. They also didn't inform us that the glasses were done , they don't leave messages on voicemail?! The wait time is not good and the quality of glasses was horrible. Waste of money read more

Just to start on a positive note, the front receptionist is the best thing about this place. I don't know her name but she was short, Hispanic, and wore glasses. She was friendly, sympathetic, and overall just really nice. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. Recently had an appointment with my husband and it went pretty badly. Doctor and nurse were really lacking in the warmth department, gave us bad news and were very cold about it. They also don't know how to listen and kept repeating things we already told them we couldn't afford. We literally had to say "We can't afford it" 6 times in total this visit. The front receptionist is the only reason they got an extra star. read more

Very rude Dr and staff. The Dr did not explain the change in my son's vision and rushed through the exam. The staff was even worse and refused to hand over his Rx until we purchased glasses. They also said they couldn't reuse his frame because my son "can't go without his glasses," even though he has a spare. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. I walked out without a Rx and no option to go elsewhere. DO NOT GO HERE! Plenty of better places to go with much better reviews. read more

Took my kids to get glasses and they were all very friendly. Got their glasses sooner than expected too!

The Doctor is great super nice! Wish I could give them more stars but the front staff is super rude and it's not just one of them upfront that is rude. Unfortunately i will not be back because of them. read more

This place has the most lazy and rude staff. They never give you the prescription to take with you, you just don't have the option of going get glasses somewhere else. My daughter was 5 and wasn't able to get other kinds of frames since her face was too small. They had one frame and 2 color choices. They don't even add anti-reflect lenses, you have to pay for that. Other places include it. They said I can pick up my kids glasses before they closed. I showed up 40 mins. Before and the door was locked. We could see the girl in the front desk sitting there, ignoring us knocking. I called. I could see her ignoring the phone. My child needed to her glasses for school. Worst customer service. I would not recommend this place unless you want to deal with their things here and there. read more

All of the staffs were so friendly and amazing. Not only do they know what they are talking about and efficient, the equipment is high quality. I had a great time having my eyes checked which is not something I ever thought I would say. Thank you so much everyone for the great experience. I definitely highly recommend people come to Dr. Vu for their next checkups. Even though I'm no in Texas, I still fly back and forth for the eye checkups with Dr. Vu only! My family has been coming here for many years now and we are very pleased with the service that Dr Vu and the staff have been providing us!

I give them a 3 not due to the optometrists I've been Dr. Vu's patient for 9 years she gets a 5 but the front desk they get a 1 ... I used to love it here but they hired new girls and they never answer the phones it always goes to the answering machine. So I had to walk in to make an appointment and told them I called left several messages to return my call because I didn't wanna make an appointment without knowing if it was gonna be covered or not, Nope never got a call back. So the next time I went in to pick up my contacts I called the office while in there to see why they don't answer well sure enough she sat there eating a sandwich at the front desk and ignored the call. Guess that's what she gets paid for. Furthermore when my contacts came in I went to the office to see if they were in cause again they never answered or called me to let me know they came in. read more

I had my three youngest children's prescriptions done by Walmart Optometrist, as Palmdale Optometry told me it would take over 3 weeks to be seen for an appointment. I brought my youngest son Andre's rx into them. He is age 6. We had to sit a overcrowded waiting room. There is a toy room with a big caterpillar in it. My kids were sitting on it. The optician came from behind the desk to scream at my children for sitting in it. I think this lady is just very racist as my children weren't hurting anything and they are African American. After 30 minutes another girl calls us to the back and tells me to choose between 2 frames that clearly don't fit a 6 year old. I choose one just to get the heck out of there. They had no plastic frames at all. I was told it would be 1-2 weeks and I'll be getting a call. Please note I am a non practicing licensed Optician of over 18 years. (A.B.O. Certified) (NCLE Certified) and FNAO. I took my others kids RX's to Dr.Isreal in Lancaster. Those came in at 2 weeks time. I called every few days to check on Andre's glasses and was put on hold with the most suicidal music station known to man. After 15 minutes of them forgetting about me, it would put me in someone's voicemail. I've left messages and they ignore you. I called this past Saturday to check on the glasses as its over 4 weeks now. They said there not in. Tried on Monday same thing and also today. I was told this afternoon (again after I called not them calling the patient.) that his glasses were in. I asked when they arrived and why didn't I receive a call. She said they were checked in Friday afternoon. So I was lied to 4 days in a row. I immediately went across the street to pick them up and the girl had me sign in. I did. Then she hands me his case with glasses in them..... What is going on here??? No adjustments, no sitting in an adjustment table or being asked to read any of the reading charts. I told the lady she was absolutely ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. Please note the glasses didn't even have nose pads on them. Who in their right mind passed inspection on this? Do they even care? This could have cut my child's nose if I didn't look myself. Until I personally go back to work, we will be a Dr.Isreal Od office and will NEVER refer anybody to Palmdale Optometry! I pray this Dr Vu. Can revamp her own office and make it a professional practice. read more

The customer service has gone from a 10 to a 1. Dr. Vu is an excellent eye doctor that my family has used for years. As they have grown the service is just horrible. It seems as though they could care less if you set an appointment with them or not. I called in three separate times and was placed on hold for over five minutes and I had to hang up. At this point I'm done and will be taking my business elsewhere. I advise the Palmdale Optometry staff and Dr. Vu to sharpen up their customer service skills. There are at least three other Optometrists within a five mile radius.... read more

I have gone to Doctor Vu for over 12 years. The ladies that help you are amazing. They will not guide you the wrong way. They know how glasses should fit your face and what is complimentary to you. If something is wrong they will spot it and have it fixed. Although in all the years going there only once did the glasses arrive and the size was wrong. I did not catch it, she did. That is how well they know you. Wonderful and kind people. Very convenient location too. Always easy to get in and out of. read more

I love this place. The office is very clean and welcoming. The staff is very busy but friendly. I had called in a couple weeks ago for a change in prescription, they seemed to be booked because they didn't have anything available for another week. I booked it because I didn't want to be a new patient elsewhere. I get there on the day of my appointment and it's fairly empty, I sign in and within 15 minutes I'm seeing Dr. Vu who is very friendly and very helpful. I order my new pair of glasses which I'm so happy I found some that fit my weirdly shaped face and big head and they tell me it might take up to three weeks to arrive. I left a little discouraged because I just wanted my glasses but I get a text message less than a week later saying they're ready! I go in a pick them up and they're perfect! How great! Will definitely be coming back. read more

I was put on hold for an hour. Idk why I stayed on the phone. I was irritated just to check if my contact lenses were in. I hung up after an hour. The called again. And they put me on hold again! I was mad. Like they couldn't have said a yes or no between an hour. I instead went in the same day and asked and then they took litteraly 1 min to respond to me in person. Like they couldn't do that on the phone, They really had to put me on hold. read more

Thank you Dr and staff for a good experience! everyone was welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I have seen Dr. Vu for close to 10 years now, and have never received anything other than stellar service. My appointments are never far in the future, and because I commute to LA everyday, they are always able to give me an afternoon appointment. I have stepped on and crushed a pair of frames a few years back, and they swapped the lenses into new frames, free of charge, even though I bought the new frames somewhere else. Unless they were to do something drastic, and not correct it, I will be coming here until they move or are out of business. read more
