My father is 83. He is in a wheelchair. Although he is retired, his time is more valuable than spending many hours at an eye appointment. We arrived 20 minutes early hoping to get out a bit early. 2 hours later we were finally called in. I informed the the doctor we had been waiting for two hours. His response, rather than a sincere apology was to inform me if I didn't like it I could find another doctor. I've been caring for my mother the last two years. At 97 we see many doctors, hearing, bone, eye and her general practitioner. In my opinion Dr Daoot has got to be the most unprofessional doctor I have met. If he had been my doctor and not my mothers I would have taken his advice and after a few choice words left and found a new doctor. I would definitely advice anyone looking into or receiving care at the California Retina Consultation to ask that Dr Daoot not be assigned to your care.

Great experience from beginning to end…read more Went in for my first visit here on 5-2-25 and was very impressed by the service. The entire staff were extremely friendly and efficient. I was seen as soon as I walked in. They did a great job taking images and testing my eye. Dr Shields was super nice, patient, and explained my results thoroughly. I never felt rushed or treated like another number. Jasmin helped me out my whole way through and even hooked me up with a couple pairs of glasses through my insurance. This is my only eye doctor and place I'll order glasses from here on out.

Dr. Shields explained all of the results of my examinations to me in terms that I could understand. I wear reading glasses every day for work as I'm constantly in front of a computer screen, so my eyes tend to get very irritated and dry by the end of the day. She offered me a coupon for an over-the-counter eye-drop solution that I'm using daily now. I was able to pick out a new eyeglass frame, too. Her members of staff were very warm, patient and friendly as well.
