I was supposed to have a Laser Procedure done back in July middle of, I was going through a new insurance and Helms office told me everything will be ok when you change Insurance, I was try to get it done end of June because it's changing & Helms Office Told me No they won't do that You Have to Wait ! it's September Now and still no notice of when I can come in and get it Done. No phone call when I was told they would call back in a couple Days. It's been 3 weeks now since the Last time I spoke with them!! What ever Happened to Good Service..? read more

This place used to be great , I don't know what happened, but now it sucks. they can't only get my Eyeware right or my contacts right , they even over charge and your billing is ridicules. I have never seen so many people walking around doing nothing. Dr.Helm !!, your place was once so great ,,but now I do not know what you were thinking!!!! We will not be back to your establishment. and FYI every one I have talked to seems to think the same Thing .DR. Helm , shame on you for not foreseeing your once great establishment. I went in May of 2024. Paid my copay they requested that day. Received a final notice for non payment in October. Went to the office and the girl said their new system was at fault for sending the notice but I had a balance to pay on my copay. Gave her a check, she assured me I was all paid. Today I once again received a request for payment. I've had enough of the ineptitude of their billing department and will never use them again. read more

Wonderful experience. Dr Helm is the best. I was in good hands. Both eye surgeries went really well well and now I can see clearly.

I give 1 star bc I had to, this place is horrible. I waited over 3 weeks for new glasses and have been back several times for adjustments bc the glasses won't stay on my face when I'm bent over. The rx took time to adjust to and now it's past the time to get a re exam. Reaching someone in this office has been near impossible and they don't return my calls. Ty go there, good luck! read more

I'm so happy with Dr. Ho, she is wonderful. Cataract surgery yesterday (one eye at a time). The drive was longer than the surgery? I was in and out. I have new lenses and I love it, can't wait for the left lens. Dr. Ho, I can't thank you enough. You're a blessing. Their Surgical suite in Valencia is top notch. The best part is the water at the end, it tasted so good. I forgot the wonderful young man's name that took care of me after Dr. Ho did her magic! LThank you, for being kind & wonderful. Rudest receptionists I have spoke to. They seem like they don't care to help you out and when you ask a simple question they just stare and answer in a rude and mean way. If you don't like an intimidating environment I suggest you don't come here. They also don't care about your time. You have to wait more than 30 mins and still wait after you get out of the waiting room... read more

Dr. Amanda Antonino has done my last 3 annual eye exams, and she's excellent. She listens well, makes sure she understands my needs and concerns, and patiently goes through the exam process. She's a delight to work with, and I highly recommend her. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR CONTACTS. They only have people available to help you Tuesdays. So if you have to schedule an appointment any other day you're out of luck. If you don't make the appointment a a month or two later, they'll try to convince you to schedule an appointment at their Valencia location. They don't mention any of this until after you've already paid and they won't refund you. read more

This has been my best experience with an eye doctor yet. I arrived 20 minutes late to my appointment and they still took me in. The eye doctor was extremely informative in discussing concerns she had with me. She didn't mind me asking a bunch of questions and was friendly throughout. When we were choosing our frames the employee Lema went above and beyond with helping me and my mom. She was friendly and enjoyable to be around. She was accommodating to the situation and went out of her way to help us. She fixed my current glasses. She was patient and helpful when my mom tried on 100 different frames. I had a similar experience to Sharon V. , Steve C., and Bob B. I ordered glasses at the Palmdale office and got a call from HELMS VISION GROUP that they were ready. I went to the Palmdale office.. Office personnel could not find the glasses. I sat and waited while the office was supposed 'searched' -- could not find the glasses. After a half hour wait, I was told the glasses were at the Santa Clarita office. OK, I came back a week later, after being notified the glasses were ready ... and GUESS WHAT? NO glasses.. could not be found. This time I sat around for an hour, growing more and more frustrated. I asked for a complete refund and reversal of my insurance payment, denied! Eventually I had to take HELM VISION GROUP to small claims court, and I won. AND Helms is responsible for my court costs!. I highly recommend using this vision correction facility. I've been to several in the Antelope Valley and Helm is the best overall.

Do not use this doctor's office. He has absolutely no respect for the patients' time. I have waited over an hour for the second time and still have yet to be called in for my appointment. Listening to the receptionist, this is the norm. The doctor doesn't even get to the office until half an hour after the first scheduled appointment. read more

Avoid this practice! I have a dry eye condition and they strung me along from appointment to appointment and performed unnecessary tests that I had to pay for. I have since gone to AV Eye Care in Lancaster and am pleased with the simple and cost effective treatment I am receiving. read more

Total disappointment in my cataract surgery. After 20/60 in my right eye Dr. Helm said after I should see a significant change of 40-60% better. After surgery it is now only 25% better to 20/40. Be very careful when you are going to let someone do surgery on you eyes. read more

I just went to Helm Vision group and had an extraordinary experience. I had been to the Santa Clarita office and was very happy with my experience there. I wanted to try the Palmdale office because it is closer to my work. I had some trouble finding the location as it is a bit tucked away. However, much to my relief, I called the SC office and someone really nice stayed on the phone with me over 6 minutes guiding me to where the office was. Needless to say, I was late for my first appointment. After I received my thorough eye exam I went to pick out glasses. The gal at the eyeglass counter spent an incredible amount of time helping me pick out the perfect pair. The receptionist was very nice to me too. It has been one week and I just got a call saying my glasses were in. I received above and beyond service. read more

I am so very thankful to be a new patient of Helm Vision Group. Every member of the staff was wonderful, friendly, courteous, and thorough. My wait time was reasonable. I have had cataracts for a few years now but had very negative experiences with a previous doctor and surgeon's office. Dr. Helm and Tonya explained everything and made sure I completely understood, and they could not have been nicer. Tonya even called me later at home to go over everything with me and help me set up my pre-op appointment with my local doctor. The Helm operation is really through with the exam but they do tests that are not identified upfront and cost you out of pocket from what is normal at other eye exam locations. Need to ask upfront before you hav e an eye exam. I think they are growing their business model fast and not getting all the details on patient care correct read more

STAY FAR AWAY from this business. I don't think anyone could believe the stories of I told you what happened after my initial Experience! I ordered my contacts which took over a week to come in, was told I'd receive a call and never did. When I went to pick them up, no one was at the office during normal business hours. I called many times before they mad an appointment for me to pick up my lenses. Would you believe, AGAIN, no one showed up! Surprisingly the office delivered my lenses. I had told them I needed them as I was leaving the country. 2 weeks to receive a pair of contact lenses is unheard of. Usually it's 3 business days. A few months later I needed a refill, I ordered, the office ordered the wrong prescription, so I'm waiting again. Also, at first, the lady tried to tell me I was wrong about my prescription, the prescription is worn for over 20 years. Finally at the end of the year as my prescription would be coming due I ordered again. Mind you the lenses have to be shipped to me because they can't get their act together at the Palmdale office. Well guess what they sent??? The same WRONG prescription they ordered before. I gave up at this point. Had my annual eye exam at my regular Dr and ordered from them. Now this office has sent my bill to collections, for their ridiculous error. They don't return any phone calls. I have never experienced anything so appalling in my life. I had lasik by Dr Helm 2 years ago and I highly recommend his office. Dr Helm made me feel very comfortable and walked me thru the whole procedure. I was very nervous and scared but it only took about 20 all together and till this day I have 20/20 vision. I'm very happy and blessed to have great vision.
