I just left my 97 year old mothers appointment at California Retina Consultation ( Santa Clarita)…read more Our doctor was a very rude man, Dr Daoot. We arrived 20 minutes early hoping to get out a bit early. 2 hours later we were finally called in. I informed the the doctor we had been waiting for two hours. His response, rather than a sincere apology was to inform me if I didn't like it I could find another doctor. I've been caring for my mother the last two years. At 97 we see many doctors, hearing, bone, eye and her general practitioner. In my opinion Dr Daoot has got to be the most unprofessional doctor I have met. If he had been my doctor and not my mothers I would have taken his advice and after a few choice words left and found a new doctor. I would definitely advice anyone looking into or receiving care at the California Retina Consultation to ask that Dr Daoot not be assigned to your care.

I was trying to explain to him some treatments we were informed by my mothers kidney transplant team she could not have and he was not willing to listen. I kept trying to explain and his response was well "I think" it won't harm her. He got upset because I was still asking questions and told me well talk amongst yourselves and decide I have more patients to take care of and walked out of the room. I told his nurse that he was very rude and she said yea but it's better not to say anything to him cause he knows what he's doing. If a person has questions to a procedure they are going to have this "Dr" should be more willing to listen.
