I honestly cannot say enough great things about this company. I've recommended them to all my friends because it's the best way to move. It cost less than $100 to rent 25 large boxes, two wardrobes, a dolly (+free zip ties and labels) for a week WITH delivery and pickup! The guy who did the drop off/pick up was so nice (whispering and moving the boxes quietly when he dropped them off at 7 am before work and my roommates were sleeping), and helpfully explained everything. The boxes were clean, and 25 was the perfect number for a one bedroom apartment. Plus, movers prefer these types of boxes since they stack easily and are uniform size. I also had more piece of mind with my breakables since they were in a hard plastic box. I had such a pleasant experience. Can't say enough great things. Fantastic service, on time, great product. The crates take up a lot less space (stackable as you pack/unpack) and are a lot easier to manage than boxes. I'm updating my review for Lend A Box following another successful move! As always, the boxes were delivered on time, the driver was as pleasant as could be and my movers even remarked how happy they were to "see these boxes again." After this move I got a terrible stress-release migraine. Thankfully, I was able to get through my actual move, but took a detour to a cold, dark room during my planned unpacking time. I sent an email to Lend A Box that I wouldn't be able to make the pick-up and within a few MINUTES I received a response that they had moved my pick-up to the weekend FREE OF CHARGE. While Lend A Box is a company with outstanding service, I fully expected to have to pay an arm and a leg to extend my rental. I joked with the Lend A Box team member I was emailing with that I "would be dancing" if my head wasn't exploding because I had visions of piles of clothes and kitchenware lining my new apartment. Using plastic over cardboard was much more durable and protected my belongings with a move that required multiple flights of stairs. I was having a new floor installed, and I needed to pack up books, videos, etc., so the furniture could be moved easily. I have a small apartment and chose the smallest rental option (15 boxes). This worked perfectly. If I had had to pack clothes and other items, I would have needed more boxes. But for what I needed this time, this worked perfectly. The customer service was excellent. The delivery and pick-up folks were friendly and responsive to my questions. They both shook hands and introduced themselves when they arrived. CVS and a few other places I shop at could learn a few things. It also seems to me to be very environmentally responsible. No cardboard to throw away. I strongly recommend Lend A Box. read more

Excellent eco-friendly service. I ordered the one bedroom size package, and honestly felt that it wasn't enough boxes, but was having an existential crisis about the fact that maybe I just own too much stuff. Overall I made it work by taking over about five of the larger crates early, emptying them, and repacking them. These boxes made the move extra smooth for the movers I hired and saved them time, which in turn saved me money since they were paid by the hour. Drop off and pick up were seamless an coordinated through email/text reminders. I ended up needing to extend for a day which was easy and affordable to do. My only suggestion would be to consider offering two dollies instead of just one so you don't have to wait as long between loads. 25 boxes is a lot for just one dolly. I ended up moving during an approaching hurricane, into a building with narrow hallways and doors. The sturdiness of the boxes protected my items and the plastic locking tops kept everything dry. I changed the pickup and dropoff dates two different times and the customer service was understanding and very helpful. And everyone was so friendly! This is a fantastic upgrade from regular cardboard boxes! These boxes are sturdy, stackable, easy to use, protected our stuff well, and use no tape or other wasteful materials. Lend a Box moving supplies are SO worth the expense when you move - and they're not even that expensive. I think I saved more than I spent on them because my movers were able to complete my move so quickly! If you're are planning to move, I highly recommend this company. I moved from a house to an apt within Arlington. Essentially I had enough stuff to order there 1 bed rm package which includes 20 big boxes 5 small, a Dolley, zip ties and labels. It cost around $110 which included them dropping it off and picking it up. These boxes were great and the Dolley was clutch. When my movers came (two marines moving, another great company) they were happy these boxes stacked so easy into their truck. This made my move go much faster and saved me around $90 from the moving company. Essentially, using these boxes saved me money and I pretty much got them for pennies. Lend a box is a fantastic service for anyone who is moving. I moved a one bedroom apartment in the smallest package offered by Lend a Box. We don't have all that much stuff and we had more than enough boxes for our needs. The delivery was great. They came right to our front door and required no assistance in getting the boxes into the apartment. When it came to pick up the same holds true. For both drop off and pick up they arrived right at the beginning of the time slot. The boxes arrived very clean and with all the supplies we needed. They provide you with only extra zip tie so be cautious when closing the boxes. The boxes are super easy to stack and make the storage and loading process a breeze. Note they are hard plastic so when packing breakable items it is best to put down extra padding to protect your items. All in all Lend a Box was a great asset in our move. I will be recommending them to friends and family, as well as, using them the next time I move! read more

I loved using Lend a Box! We were moving and needed boxes quickly - Lend A Box brought me my boxes quickly and the price was right. The boxes worked out great - we had a LOT of stuff and moving out of a small home. It was great that we could pack the boxes and stack them 5 high in a room and not worry about one of the kids coming around and knocking them over. I also felt safe putting my valuables in them - they are sturdy and I didn't feel like things would break as easily in a cardboard box. We had our pickup arranged for 3 days after we moved, which I thought was going to be impossible - but it was just motivation to unpack those boxes and when we did - they stacked neatly in the garage for pickup. Really, these made moving a lot easier and not dealing with all that cardboard! Once they were picked up- they were gone and no mess laying around our new house. Really cannot recommend this company highly enough. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Initially rented boxes for two weeks which would have given me two full weekends to pack, and about three days to move and empty the boxes. Ultimately we couldn't move into the new place until the last day of the two-week period, so I had to extend the pickup time twice and also added about 6 boxes about five days before the move. Everyone I dealt with at Lend-a-Box--from the owner to the office personnel to the delivery people---was friendly, professional, and did her/his best to accommodate us. When the six additional boxes were delivered, Stephanie even made sure to have them delivered at a time when they were making another delivery in the area, so that they wouldn't have to charge us another $25 delivery fee. There was one small point of confusion that resulted in my card being overcharged, but that was very quickly resolved (in less than 24 hours). Overall, a fantastic experience. If you're moving *anything* locally, just do yourself a favor and call them. Make your life easier. Do it for you. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lend a Box! When it came time to move I was dreading having to find, then assemble, then break down cardboard boxes. Lend a Box boxes were amazing. I didn't have to worry about stacking a heavier box on a flimsy cardboard box and worry that the items were getting crushed. It was also helpful having they're dolly to wheel the stack boxes, rather than carry boxes one (or 2) at a time. As for their customer service and delivery - so helpful and nice. These went above and beyond how useful I expected them to be. They are so much better than moving with crappy cardboard boxes that it's difficult to put into words how much easier and better they make your move. The driver, Lee, was on-time and courteous. The boxes were sturdy, clean, and fit together perfectly allowing for no sliding or bumping around during transit. The carts were sturdy and rolled very well allowing for easy moving. Honestly it would be difficult for me to make any move again without Lendabox (or if in a different area, a similar service). The only odd thing was two boxes had some weird black gunk in the bottom, but it was clearly very old and hardened on and was not coming off (we rubbed to make sure of no transfer), so it ended up being a non-issue. read more

This made my life easy. That alone should give it a 5-star rating. It seems I move every year. I feel bad when I look at how many cardboard boxes I go through. With this, the only bit i had leftover was some newspaper I used to wrap some of my valuables. Great customer service and they were at my place promptly at the times I requested. The boxes are very durable and the moving guys were thrilled to see them. I may recommend you get extra dish and glass kits though as they are a huge help. You can remove some of the inserts to fit slightly larger items. It only took me 2 days to unpack. If you are moving, you need to do this. read more

Additionally, there is no dust from boxes nor build up/ break down effort. The moving company also loved them and said they wished more people would move using the lend-a-boxes, since they are easy to carry and stack. Absolutely LOVED my experience with Lend A Box! The convenience of having the boxes dropped off to my old apartment and then picked up from my new apartment was worth it alone! When the movers came and saw how they were already stacked on the dollies they were so happy because it made it even easier for them too. I recently used Lend A Box when moving from a townhouse to my new single family home. I'm so happy I tried this service. The company delivers the boxes to you and picks them back up once unpacked! It is a very convenient service. Plus it truly cuts down on all of the cardboard boxes used during packing. I rented 80 boxes and 4 wardrobes from Lend a Box for an upcoming move. The company has excellent customer service, fair prices and the delivery staff were on time, extremely friendly and helpful. The boxes are constructed well and the movers can move them with more speed and care than regular cardboard boxes.
