I came in to H mart with my friends to check out the food court. It was very crowded with all the tables basically taken. They have seats to eat in for people eating there and the restaurants surrounding. It is good that they have. A system that calls out where the food you ordered came from and a number is on the screen. When I saw the Chicken Wing place, I was gravitated to order their Ginger and Honey Wings. I asked the cashier which one was best or she liked and she said it depends on your taste on whether you like it dried or with sauce. I opted for with sauce which was the 8 wings for $16.99. It was pricey for the amount of wings but it was a good amount when I saw it. It was piping hot when I got it. But when I tasted it I was a disappointed because the flavor was there and tender but the wings were not crunchy. If they were, it would have been a good crunchy fried chicken. I was craving some Korean Fried chicken and was shopping at H Mart so checked this place out I'm their food court area. I wanted a bit of spice so I ordered the spicy soy garlic which was only truly spicy if you bite into the chili flake (my husband said he needed milk lol). When you order a chicken dish, it comes with a side, I got the pickled radish which paired up nicely with the chicken. I USED to love Aria until I personally saw unsanitary packing of my side order of rice immediately after touching the trash can; then later the owner saying they reviewed the tape and still denying that it happened. (Maybe that's a perk of ordering delivery, so you never have to witness... sometimes ignorance is bliss.) I was really sad about not being comfortable frequenting them anymore... until I found Left Wing. Left Wing's batter is far superior--light, tasty (even sauceless), and consistently crispy, compared to Aria's very thick sometimes goopy batter. I did appreciate Aria's generous saucing; Left Wing usually does a good job at saucing, though 20% of the time doesn't give enough sauce. Though I think Left Wing's sweet & spicy sauce is more nuanced with seasoning--a tad more elevated, and additionally garnished with herbs and sesame seeds. ONLY get their sweet & spicy (gochujang base). Their soy garlic seems like a very liquidy marinade rather than a sauce, and will quickly get your wings soggy if you don't dine in the H-Mart food court. I prefer boneless for ease of eating, and they're still pretty consistently tender. A medium size ($17, includes 1 side) usually feeds both the hubby and I. Though if I get a large ($27, includes 2 sides), the hubby will still finish most of it anyway because those wings are so tasty. I've been regularly ordering delivery via Doordash, and they're good at providing ordered sides. They definitely missed some of mine before, as they had some learning curves to get over when they first opened a while ago. All their sides are pretty meh; I usually order rice when I don't feel like making rice, or their cabbage salad with thousand island (?) dressing if I want to attempt to be semi healthy. Would be nice to have their online ordering more user friendly, so I can get 2 of the same sides rather than having to type it out in the comments and hope they read it. But at least now, with my written requests they've been getting it right. They offer small, medium and large sizes, (boneless and bone-in), but keep in mind that you can only order bone-in if it's medium or large. You can't order a small size of bone-in wings. A medium comes with your choice of sides like slaw, rice, pickled daikon radish, or fries. The fries are $1 extra. The large size comes with 2 sides of your choice. Something to keep in mind is that they only take card. They do NOT take cash. The chicken was very crispy and juicy. The flavor was really good! I enjoyed it a lot, but it was a little pricey. $16 for 8 pieces and a side of daikon radish sounds a bit steep to me. (Yes, I actually counted the pieces). I do however appreciate that the pieces aren't mega tiny. The chicken pieces were pretty big compared to many places I've ordered wings from. I took the chicken with me to the Ocean Ave Beach to enjoy the sunset and they were still very hot! I like my food steaming hot, so that's a plus for me. Ordered the XL size of Korean fried chicken wings with my family on a Thursday around 11:30AM. We were very excited because we ate here before with no issue. But when we received our order we did not get any chicken wings. We got mostly drumsticks and chicken breast (not sure but it is in the photos). The chicken seasoning was great but the skin was soggy. The meat was not completely cooked either as it was somewhat slimy. We initially complained about not receiving any 'chicken wings' after receiving them but we were refused further service. If we knew there no 'chicken wings' then we would not have ordered the XL sized order. My family enjoyed the Left Wing at Santana Row in San Jose about one month ago so we expected the same when going to this location. Wifey went in to order and we decided to get their Large "Signature Three Flavor" KFC ($25.99) and chose Original, Honey Garlic and Soy Chili Garlic, which comes with two sides. You can order additional side dishes for $1 each. She got the French Fries, 2 Rice, 2 Mac Salads, Coleslaw and Pickled Radish. I was waiting in the car with Jaime and when she finally returned (approximately 40 minutes later), I asked her what took so long, and she replied that she was waiting for them to make the fries. I took a bite of one and they were soggy. How do you make soggy fries from a fresh batch? The fries looked so limp and sorry, a far cry from the description on their menu as "crispy" Julien cut French Fries. We then drove to Fort Funston and had our meal there. When I think of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), I think of a beautiful and whole, bone-in drumette, wing and tip. Yes, you have the option of choosing a boneless chicken, but that becomes a chicken nugget, IMO. The chicken here were chopped up and butchered in a way that there are shards of bones that was difficult and dangerous to eat. Granted it had a nice crispness on the outer layer of batter, the shards of bones was unexpected and unpleasant to deal with. The name of the place is called Left Wing, which makes you believe that this is what you're getting....Wings. They also included other parts of the chicken like the ribs and other bony parts. Yes, I wanted bone-in chicken, but I was expecting the drumettes and the flat/wingette parts of the chicken...not this hacked and sorry excuse of a KFC. The Honey Garlic and Chili Soy Garlic tasted exactly the same. When you call something "Chili" one would expect some heat. But no...all I tasted was sweet and one note. I should have brought my own hot sauce cause it was surely lacking the heat. And the worst part was the side of rice. It was both hard and soggy at the same time, which as an Asian establishment is inexcusable. I instantly knew it wasn't cooked properly and probably could've used the finger technique. It was probably made from a large batch due to the consistency (or should I say inconsistencies) of the grains. How can you mess up rice? Anyways, we got the large size which allows us to choose 3 flavors and 2 sides. The boneless wing flavors we chose were the Original, Sweet & Spicy, and Chili Soy Garlic flavors and we got fries as our sides (they ran out of bone-in and all the other sides by that time). When we picked up our food and tried it, it was actually very good! The wings were still crunchy even though it was drenched in sauce and I loved the flavors of each one too! The fries were also good because it wasn't flimsy, BUT it just tasted like the typical fries you can get everywhere else. Out of the wing flavors we chose, I'd say that my favorite would be the Sweet & Spicy, then the Original, and last Chili Soy Garlic. The Original didn't have as much flavor as the ones with sauce which is why it's my 2nd favorite, while the Chili Soy Garlic had a little too much of a spicy flavor for me (I have a low spice tolerance). All of the wings were still good though! I'd recommend this place! Everything we got was good, but I'd recommend people to go here earlier so they don't run out of a majority of the menu items. The sweet and spicy definitely have a kick, but if you're sensitive to heat, it can be spicy. The original, on the other hand, was actually not bad.
