Came here because I was nearby and craving some banh mi for lunch! I ordered the combination pork banh mi and the portion size was decent for the price (around $12). I would say the bun was thicker than I would've liked and hoped there was a little more filling but I still think the banh mi was a good deal :) Service was quick, and the establishment was a pretty spacious place to have a quick bite!

I've been coming to this spot for over 10 years and they've still got it! Perfect place to come for a piping hot bowl of pho or bun Bo hue. We came about 30 min before they closed on a week day after work and loved every bite! Support local!

Another great bowl of Pho! They now include cilantro/coriander in the accoutrement. Always fast service, always a clean and comfortable vibe.

My family's favorite to go pho spot. The staff is always there to greet you as soon as you set foot through the door. They are always friendly. The restaurant is well kept and clean. Restaurant is very well lighted. It feels very home like and makes you feel warm and comfortable. Ingredients used is always very fresh. The beef broth of the pho is light yet flavorful. It is not too heavy or salty at all. Must add service is fast too. We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. Would definitely recommend this place and come back with my family.

Service is very quick. Bowl size for pho is huge. On the meat to noodles ratio, it leans significantly more on the noodles. Overall, everything is tasty and I'm glad this place exists in the neighborhood.

We haven't come here since the pandemic hit. Used to be our Vietnamese foods spot. I'm glad it still under the same ownership. All the prices went up 50% , I still have the old menu before the pandemic. Foods still good like the old days. Might come back more often from now.

Food was pretty mid, not that great, they did give a pretty good amount of noodles. The cleanliness of the tables were ok. Service was fast, but the waitress was pretty mean and rude when we were just asking for an extra bowl and plate. Even if I am around the area, I might not come back again. Mid food and bad service.

I went back yesterday! Im thrilled to say that its still amazing. It totally hits the spot& comes out super fast! Its so savory, warm and delicious. I will come back again and again! Now my partner loves it too! He said the wontons had great flavor the way dumplings should taste.

The Bun Bo Hue is still good here, but most, if not all, of the appetizers are a miss for us. We try to get different things each time. However, today the #2 was also a miss because the beef texture was weird. The service is always fast, though.

I ended up getting food poisoning from here. The food wasn't prepared correctly what's so ever. I been throwing up the last 12 hours and they are the only place I had.

lol. it aint great. but it'll like do because it's close by. but i'd pick kevin or pho ga any day over here. so here's what's good: -service is good and wait time is pretty short. -they speak chinese so it's even easier to order. -free tea lesssgooo. -lots of seating so i never had to wait. what's meh: -everything else. i recommend not straying from the typical common viet stuff like beef or chicken pho, imperial roll, because the banh cuon and bun bo hue are no good imo. do not order it. which is sad because not many vietnamese restaurants in sf offer banh cuon. :( -it's pretty old interior so it can be a turn off. -quality and taste just doesn't match the price point here. i think it's just fine. average at best. kevin's is better because they put more msg so it's more flavorful. sorry :/

Street parking with meters. Okay on Sunday but still difficult to find space. Food was average overall. Soup base was broth, rice noodles. Side dish included the basil, bean sprouts, slice of chili. Beef thinly sliced, beef tendon was soft enough, tripe was also soft enough. Egg crepe #59 had egg crepe, not crispy, inside seafood and bean sprouts were average. The service was average. Not too many customers. Overall, 3 stars out of 5.

Stopped by for a quick lunch on the weekend and it was pretty spacious. Had a lot of options on their menu and our food came out pretty quickly. The staff was nice, helping us get items we needed and making sure our orders were correct. Shrimp Rolls - Came out with 4 pieces and the rice paper was a little stiff. The ingredients were fresh but it was mostly vermicelli inside. Combo Beef Noodle Soup - The pho was pretty standard and didn't stand out to me. The soup was very light but didn't have the usual rich meat flavor. My boyfriend got the Bun Bo Hue which he highly recommends, saying it was one of his favorites in the bay area, and you have to add lemon/lime and fish paste/ot sate to it so definitely go here if that's the dish you want to get!

I was by myself and wanted to have a quick eat. This place has unique ramen so I decided to come again (also SF/bay area only in the US). Since I was alone, I got to skip the line and only waited 15 minutes. The ramen was great. I would love to come again and try new one. Their duck chashu is SO GOOD. A little salty but works great as a whole. I respect the kitchen and servers because it's so busy and they are very efficient.

We visited Mensho Tokyo SF for our Mother's Day celebration after hearing so many great things…read moreabout the ramen, and we were genuinely excited to try it for the first time. We were a large group of 15, including several kids, and we completely understand that the restaurant is small and accommodating a group our size can be challenging. We waited in line for almost an hour with around 6 children. During the wait, a staff member named Sue came outside, asked how many people were in our group, and handed us menus. Since it was our first visit, we were naturally asking questions and trying to understand the menu. Unfortunately, throughout the interaction, her body language and expressions felt impatient and unwelcoming. There was visible frustration and eye-rolling, which made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. Even after we were seated, the experience continued to feel tense. One of the toddlers in our group started crying briefly -- something fairly common with young children -- and we were told to "keep it low out of respect." While we absolutely respect other diners, the way it was communicated felt lacking in empathy, especially on a busy Mother's Day with families dining out. A small gesture of kindness or understanding could have gone a long way. Instead, my friend felt compelled to take the child outside, which was disappointing. Additionally, after being seated, we had to remind the staff multiple times to come take our orders. What makes this especially unfortunate is that the ramen itself was truly delicious and lived up to the hype. The food was excellent, which is why this experience was so disappointing overall. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customer service and hospitality matter just as much as the food experience. Unfortunately, this was not the ideal way to end our Mother's Day celebration.

If you're not able to squeeze into the first wave, the wait is upwards of 2 hours! FOOD: We ordered one galbi jim with extra noodles and rice cakes and a separate garlic noodles for a party of 5. While we initially thought we could finish two galbi jims, our server cautioned us against it, referencing the healthy portion size. We were glad we took her advice because everyone was stuffed by the end of our meal. Their galbi jim was flavorful, with extremely tender beef and chewy rice cakes. We ordered the lowest level of spiciness and while there was still a kick, it was extremely manageable. SERVICE: We were the first to be seated and our galbi jim took almost 20 minutes to come out while others waited even longer. However, they comped our garlic noodles and apologized for turning waits. Typically what I saw was they do waves of seating and ordering so if you aren't there right at open/when they fill up, plan to write your name down and grab a drink nearby. Once we got seated, they were pretty prompt to give us utensils, napkins, cups, and water. The two of us shared the Braise Beef Galbi Stew. It's more than enough for 2 people to go home in food comas (with some food remaining) and for 3 to be sufficiently full. If you have big eaters, order an app alongside if you have 3 people. The Galbi stew was exceptional. I liked that they had various levels of spiciness. We went with spicy and it had a nice kick that elevated the dish for me. The beef was very tender and flavorful and the veggies and rice cakes soaked up all the juices. And the cheese was so stretchy! I'd actually rank this place slightly above Daeho given the shorter wait, the quality, and the price. I'll be back for sure.
