Excellent Pho spot in the Excelsior district. Ordered a large #4, meat quality was a little tough but manageable. Broth was savory and flavorful. Restaurant offers unlimited self serve iced tea and water. Restaurant was very clean, service was quick and friendly. Now that winter is coming, I'd like to stop by to try other noodle dishes.

Close to home pho to switch up getting some soup. I ordered grilled beef/chicken shrimp combo over rice and shrimp spring roll and I also tried the grilled beef short ribs. Kind of small portion for the beef short ribs but it was still good. Flavorful if you want a rice plate during lunch they have a lunch special. Service is fast to-go. Our weekend was over from nights at the cow palace and we wanted something comforting like pho and broth. I looked up yelp and this resturant was on the way from leaving the City. There is street parking and be patience it took us a few blocks to find parking. Upon walking in the resturant it was order first then seated. The menus were pretty simple for Vietnamese cuisine. We got our food quickly and the pho broth hit the spot!!! It was so comforting to have the flavor in my belly!!!! Of course the large was HUGE. I did not put a dent in my bowl. The fresh fried egg rolls were super good and crispy. The apple juice hit just right after the savory flavors of the pho. I'm glad I was able to stop by and try out the pho.

Love pho nation. My personal favorite. Only complaint is I wish they were open later. I usually dine in, good service and complimentary tea. Good vibes.

Another delicious lunch. Service is quick and courteous and restaurant itself very clean. I really recommend this spot if you're on San Bruno Ave,

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. You go up to the counter to order what you want and then you choose where you want to sit. There was plenty of seating because the place is quite large being able to comfortably seat about 60 patrons. Cashier greeted us as we walked in, was courteous and even repeated our order to make sure he heard correctly. We ordered a #20 and a #12 (no pho and extra veggies-no extra charge). We did not have to wait long to enjoy the delicious items we selected. The pork chop was juicy (although we prefer it with a touch more seasoning) egg roll was crispy, and the veggies in my soup were abundant with lots of variety. It had carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, white and green onions and beansprouts. Broth was delicious. Dining room was spacious and clean, bathrooms were clean and had seat covers. Was a pleasant experience. Our bellies were jolly. We recommend and will be back.

its good but the broth could be definitely more flavorful. I likes the shrimp spring rolls more than the actual pho.

The pho is quite tasty with a flavorful broth and good quality meat, noodles and vegetables- but the appetizers need work. First, the restaurant is spacious and very clean. COVID protocols are still in effect but they don't require masks. I didn't realize the hour when we walked in; they were about to close. They offered to serve us for take-out. The ladies were polite and efficient and packed up all our food with care including two Thai iced teas. The chicken wings were dry. They told me the egg rolls were Imperial rolls (so I asked for extra lettuce, mint and nuac cham) but they were not: They were average egg rolls with packets of sweet & sour sauce on the side. The pho was accompanied by packets of hoisin, sriracha, sliced jalapeños and bean sprouts. My advice is order the pho and skip the appetizers until they bring them up to standard.

Really disappointed in the overcooking of my 3. Rare Steak and Beef Balls Noodle Soup Sadly they did nothing to fix it.

It pains me to write a bad review, but after getting sick to my stomach once and bad service the next time I'm done. This place just isn't worth the price or hype. Recently I went in for lunch and ordered the same rare steak with beef meat Ball that I always order. Instead of rare steak, I got overcooked meat that was hard. I brought it to my waitress' attention and she apologized, as they stated it was rare when they put it in. It was very poor quality and very overcooked. I told her that I was not happy with my order and she went to speak to the manager who then said, if I wanted rare steak I needed to pay extra. I told her that I was very unhappy with that, because I did not receive rare steak in the first place and that it was not edible. So when the manager came by, I spoke with her and she said they never serve it rare like that. I disagreed, as I have ordered it like that from THIS place before. She basically argued that all restaurants serve rare beef cooked and had to disagree again, as this is the dish I always ordered. The manager was very dismissive and rude, I kept my composure - but didn't want to be there anymore. If you don't care to hear from your customers and don't care about their business - you lose it. I hate spending nearly $20 with tip on food that is wasted, but it was not good. But ultimately the reason I will not return again is the way I was treated when I brought it up my concerns.

    plain pho with side shrimp
    Colette J.

This is my go-to takeout spot for pho. I always get a large plain pho with egg noodles and 2 sides of shrimp. You get 3 pieces of shrimp for $4. The shrimp are a pretty decent size but 3 aren't enough for me which is why I get 2 side orders. I've never dined in, only ordered through uber eats, and my order is normally around $22 and some change before uber adds all of their taxes. The broth is so rich and incredibly seasoned to perfection. It's just the right amount of salty and is always delivered to me piping hot. The shrimp does arrive with the shell on so I take those off, and add the thai basil and a squeeze of lemon to my bowl. I don't like rice noodles so I am happy that Pho Nation offers to substitute them for egg noodles. I always have left over broth for the next day. The perfect bowl of pho for a reasonable price!

I actually discovered Que Viet through DoorDash and had everything delivered. I ordered the Deep-Fried Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), Grilled Chicken & Chicken Imperial Roll Garlic Noodles (Mi Top Ga Nuong Cha Gio Ga), Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls (Nem Cuon), Vietnamese Shrimp Mini Crepes (Banh Xeo Tom), and the Grilled Pork Sausage & Sliced Pork Woven Vermicelli (Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong). Yes... I spent almost **$100 for two people**. Looking back at the receipt, I had to ask myself, *"Is this place expensive, or am I just fat?"* Honestly... probably a little of both. Either way, it was one of the best $100 I've ever spent. If it's your first time ordering from Que Viet, do yourself a favor and get the **garlic noodles**. I know garlic noodles are everywhere these days, but these completely changed my expectations. They were perfectly cooked with an incredible bounce, packed with rich garlicky flavor, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (if you have the self-control). I also tried the **Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong** for the first time, and it did not disappoint. One heads-up, though: it's generously topped with crushed peanuts. My friend has a peanut allergy, so thankfully we caught it before digging in. If you have any nut allergies, be sure to mention it when ordering. Every single dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen despite being delivered. That's not something you can say about many places. If you ever find yourself in the city, you **need** to make a stop at Que Viet. This place has been living rent-free in my head ever since, and I already know I'll be back the next chance I get.

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.
