Vermicelli with Charbroiled Pork and Eggrolls
    Elaine Y.

Ordered lunch for my team of 18 today and Little Saigon was great! They were on time for pickup, did a thorough check on orders, and didn't skimp on anything. There was one haphazardly wrapped drink that leaked a bit but most of it was still salvageable. I got my favorite grilled pork vermicelli with imperial rolls. I still, all these years later, feel like the pork could be grilled just a bit harder to get a little char and smokiness. I think it'll really go well with the deep lemongrass flavor and contrast nicely with the sweetness from the marinade. But having said that, portion size is still great - easily two meals for me! Feedback overall from my team was good. It may not have the pizzazz of Cafe Bunn Mi but it was good, filling Vietnamese comfort food.

Bun Riue for me is as best as can be! Sweet and tangy with lots of ingredients! They don't skimp on the crab either! I enjoyed it so much I came here twice in one week! I honestly would come to Little Saigon - over Ben Tre despite the hype with the big Ben... why? Cuz less people - great tasting food and the guy running the restaurant is really nice! I have come within the hour of closing and he is always kind and accommodates whoever comes into the door before the closing hour! It's a dive spot and not as refined presenting as other restaurants but that's where the charm comes from! I think it's a cool date spot for the casual fun folks looking for a good meal in a quiet place!

I came for lunch with co workers. Parking is a little tough, but find parking because the Pho is incredibly worth it. The space is very unassuming, there's lots of tables, indoor seating only. We got a table pretty quick, I ordered beef pho and a Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was very strong. It took some time to get food, but it wasn't too long- absolutely worth the wait. The service was nice, everything brought out neatly. The bowl of pho was huge, steaming, and SO GOOD. I can't emphasize it enough, this was such a satisfying bowl of noodles with beef, bean sprouts, the works. And it was such a memorable lunch for about $20 total. They were generous with toppings, they had all the right sauces. Catch me sprinting back here on a foggy day.

Credit cards accepted. Surprisingly, this tiny Little Saigon restaurant is simple, delicious, convenient, decent, and good for rice plates, Pho noodle bowls, etc. It actually has its own little parking lot (maybe 7 spots) here, so that you don't have to circle around the blocks for street parking. Employees can speak English/Cantonese and probably some Vietnamese, but mainly Chinese here. There's tables and chairs inside, but it's a convenient takeout/order over the counter place. Service is not bad. Menu with tiny printed letters had good selections and beverage prices were much more affordable than other places. No, it's not fancy. Just a casual small place to get in and get out. My special Pho noodle soup comes with a side of five spices chicken meat. Grilled pork rice plate was good too. Not disappointing here. Quiet and casual. Expect around $14-15 per order on average. Old environment. It's not expensive in today's market and economy. Sometimes, I do prefer dining in at these type mom and pop restaurants. Not far from shopping areas. Food was delicious.

I always come back for the Garlic noodles. The waiters are very attentive and service is quick. The atmosphere is a little janky (random boxes stacked around). But the food and service is good.

I ordered food via a food delivery app. I was happy how they packaged the food. I ordered a tofu and Veggie Bahn mi which was rubber banded and wrapped in the usual paper. I ordered a veggie eggroll vermicelli and it was packaged in a plastic clamshell. I also ordered a thai iced tea with coconut milk. The hole was taped closed and bagged separately from the food. I enjoyed both my sandwich and vermicelli. The sandwich had a mayo and flavor that I wasn't familiar with, but it wasn't bad. The tofu was fried and filled with veggie. It was great, I finished it all. I also enjoyed the vermicelli. The carton used for fish sauce was just enough for me. Three eggrolls is very generous; I enjoyed the cabbage and mushroom filling. Since they were not precut, I picked it up and ate it in between noodle bites.

Ordered from this place for Togo! Packages the pho noodles with the spices. It was hot and ready to go! The broth was stored in a separate container and also hot! They packaged everything safely and added a tape over the drink. Best place to go for a cold day especially when you're experiencing stuffy nose.

Would like the broth to be made with more beef bones to get that rich flavor instead of so much water. There was only one tendon in my rare steak and tendon soup. The rare wasn't really rare, and the noodle portion was small. The eggrolls were super hard and chewy. I had to rip it with my teeth. I wouldn't order this again. It didn't have much flavor. Tasted just like overfried and chewy rice paper. This was super disappointing. The second pho with the beef flank and rare beef was really skimpy on the beef. I guess in a pinch you can come here but with so many pho places we probably won't be back. The thai tea tasted weirdly like old refrigerator. Wouldn't order this again either. It was super thick too and soupy. Tasted old and stale.

The food was great. Ordered a regular beef pho and imperial roll. Nothing special. One water refill. After finishing, I go up to the counter to pay for my order. But while do so, the teller would not allow me to leave without providing a tip on e-payment. I told her that I didn't have enough for tip. She told me "Then next time you don't come here. You dine in- you tip". I didn't say a word- i pocketed my debit card and left. I thought that was very disrespectful and stemmed from me being perceived as unwanted black person. Very bizzare to hear someone ask me for a tip and suggest not to come back after .

Small place with big flavor. Got the bun rieu for myself and got to try a bit of the bun Bo hue broth. They bussin, especially on a cold day in the city. Definitely coming back again to fully try some of the other bowls. Great friendly and quick service.

This is a little restaurant in South City. They have a small parking lot so you don't need to look for parking. The beef balls noodles my friend ordered was too much msg in the soup. Prices were little higher.

Seven spice chicken bahn mi sando

It's a small Vietnamese restaurant to stop by and have a bite before getting on the road again. I ordered the seven-spice chicken Bahn mi sandwich and the shrimp spring rolls, and they were both average-tasting to me. The service is great, but the food and the ambiance needs work if they want to stand out in the bay area, kinda felt like I was sitting down to eat in a well lit donut shop on a sunny afternoon.

No frills. Best bang for your buck. Authentic and fresh AF. They also have super spicy chili oil I can put on just about anything! Tables are limited and so is parking. Fast and friendly service.

Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location. My only disappointment was that I really love papaya salad and it was not an option. I may make this my go-to spot from now on, but as a Yelper, we all know we will keep trying new places. This will be the one I continue to frequent. Well done Pho de Nguyen!

Upon getting seated, she asked if we wanted a plastic water cup, regular bowl, and plastic utensils for my toddler. I highly prefer being environmentally friendly, so I only opted for the reusable bowl. I truly appreciate her asking me before automatically bringing everything. I ordered the Pho Tai Gau (rare steak and brisket) with thin pho noodles, split bowl with extra noodles to share with my toddler. The meat is super thin and tender! Although we ordered "extra" noodles, it didn't feel like extra compared to a normal bowl, but my toddler wanted more soup than noodles so it worked out. We also got the imperial rolls appetizer. It was tasty but I felt like it was a bit overdone, because it hurt the roof of my mouth haha, but I do prefer it to be crispy than soggy so I'm not complaining! Just be aware :) Nowadays, my best eating out meals are those in which my toddler enjoyed and allowed her to be on her best behavior. Our server checked up on us multiple times (never had to flag her down) and took great care of us. My toddler even let her pick her up! So thank you for the great service!

All ingredients were fresh and on point, but nothing really too remarkable about this dish here. Reasonable amount of pork so that's a plus. I wish there was just a tad more lettuce to go with it. Competent no-nonsense meal this was. The service was fast on delivering the water too. VERDICT: Overall nothing too special here, but this fits the bill when you just want something healthier to eat that isn't fast food. Getting Here: The parking lot in this midi-sized mini-mall is rather small given all the stores here, so you have to hunt a little bit.
