Chicken pho was incredibly rich! Had to add water to cut the saltiness a bit. The chicken strips were plenty, noodles a bit clumped together. not enough greens in my opinion. Ordered to go at the kiosk at 8:35pm. We ordered the grilled pork garlic noodles and curry chicken banh mi. They close at 9pm so we thought ordering to go would be a bit quicker. By 8:51, the owner (?) came over and said they don't have any more bread for banh mi and asked if we wanted anything else. At this point the garlic noodles were already done so we ended up asking for a refund for the banh mi but felt it was really odd that they didn't say anything when they started making the order. The food itself was mediocre. Nothing amazing. There are 8 tables inside and a small sitting area. A pretty good casual pho spot. There's plenty to like here. The portions are generous , reasonably priced. The meat is perfectly tender and noodles are great. The broth, however, could use more flavor. The peanut sauce was unique. Their is less think, more light beige and soupy. Not sure it's for me. Don't skip out on dessert. The mango pudding was great. When it's cold, I always crave pho, and this is my go-to place since it's close to home and clean with a nice dining area. The three of us ordered two bowls of pho, a grilled pork vermicelli, and one Vietnamese iced coffee. The young waitress doesn't speak Chinese, so if you talk to her in Chinese, she won't understand you--but it's not that she's rude. Our food came out very quickly, which I appreciated because I was hungry. There's plenty of parking, so that's never an issue. They now have a kiosk where you can place your own order if you prefer. Came in on a Saturday evening as the original restaurant that my friend and I wanted to go to was closed. The restaurant was brightly lit and had a lot of available seating. Your typical Asian/Vietnamese style restaurant. Ambiance was quite quiet since they wasn't a lot of people other than some takeouts. They had a kiosk near the front where you can order or you can order in front with the owner as well. Restaurant was pretty clean and also had videos playing food from Vietnam on the TV. Service was decent; owner brought over waters and the food came out in a timely manner. I tried: 1) #8 - Combo #1 with vermicelli(Pork Chop, Chicken Wing and Egg Roll)(6.2/10) - A decent bowl of vermicelli noodles. The portion size for the price was very reasonable; a lot of vermicelli noodles, veggies(lettuce, pickled carrots and daikons, bean sprouts and cucumbers), 2 grilled pork chops, 3 chicken wings(drums and wings) and 1 egg roll. Overall the dish was just okay - didn't wow me other than the portion size. The pork chops were marinated well and grilled well, not dry at all. The highlight of the bowl was the chicken wings, those were cooked really well - light, crispy, hot and juicy! The one let down was the eggroll.....I didn't finish this since it had a funky taste...not sure if it was the seasoning or something else. Also, the fish sauce mix was just okay; it lacked the usual umami you get from fish sauce...maybe a bit too diluted; wasn't to my liking. The Thai Tea was a miss for me. Very powdery, and the milk didn't fully mix in, leaving it clumpy. On the other hand, the Garlic Noodles were tasty, not too oily, and a solid value at $8. I personally wouldn't pay double the price to add protein, but the noodles themselves satisfied my craving. Came back here for a quick lunch. The combo pho my partner got was okay but the bun rieu was delicious! I'd definitely get it again. The service was a little slower this time but the food was consistently the same. The portions and pricing are better than some places in the Bay Area and the service is normally nice. The first thing that stood out when I was preparing my meal when I got home was how small the Pho bowl was. After opening it up, to me, it was barely a size small portion as there were less than 7 cut pieces of chicken inside. I wasn't provided Hoisin or Sirracha sauces for the soup or pickled carrots and daikon with the egg rolls which I had asked for. Regardless, I started adding the sprouts, jalapeños, broth, and warmed it all together to a steep temp. First slurp of the soup, it's delicious. We came here for dinner a few days ago because we always see this spot pop up whenever we're looking for dinner ideas. I'm happy to say we were pleasantly surprised by this spot & will gladly return! I was feeling a little under the weather so wanted something soupy and nothing cures you more than a nice hot bowl of pho! My fiancé and I both ordered the combo pho #1 which was flavorful and surprisingly the beef brisket & rare beef weren't rough in texture or too chewy. Sometimes I feel like the restaurants make the cuts too thick and the meat is super tough to chew. The person at the table next to us ordered a vermicelli bowl and honestly it smelled so good! This family owned restaurant is tucked in the corner just to the left of Starbucks. It can get pretty busy around lunchtime due to its surrounding and a lot of people who work nearby drop in for a bite. Their Bun Rieu is hands down one of my all time favorites, I seriously crave it all the time! I hope they never change the recipe! The portion is one size but generous, and I always leave feeling full and satisfied. The broth is packed with rich, savory flavor. As for the vermicelli bowls, I was shocked by how big the portion was. The bowl they serve it in is honestly too small for how much you get (time for an upgrade, haha). 2025 update. Viet Time was empty at 7pm on a Monday evening. I usually eat at La Salsa when I'm in this strip mall. Then I remembered I've never tried Viet Time's grilled pork garlic noodles $14. This dish was OK. Flavorful grilled pork and mild garlic taste noodles. It wasn't greasy enough. The tips of the garlic noodles were burnt, which was good. It needed a lot more garlic flavor. Also missing were some sort of vegetables. Green onions (scallions), Vietnamese picked carrots or daikon (radish) would have been nice. The restaurant remains too clean for my liking for a Vietnamese restaurant. read more

I called in for takeout banh mi they said it'll be ready in 10 mins. I get there in roughly 6 mins and then they had me wait another 20 mins. I didn't tip because why would you for take out? They noticed that and took longer on my order. When I got my pork belly banh mi it had three thin slices of pork. I'm going around the area trying Bánh mi to find the best one worth the price. Came to Viet Time for dinner and it was empty inside with one person waiting for their togo order. We got the bun rieu and cold cut sandwich combo. For the bun rieu, the soup was tasty and the portion was big, however the noodles were a bit undercooked. The sandwich was very good and packed with meat. I got the milk tea to go with the combo and their milk tea is Hong Kong style with condensed milk which was also very good. We sat closer to the back of the restaurant and it was pretty loud. It was not really steaming hot-which is the way I like my pho. They skimped on the toppings like not much fresh basil-just one branch! Broth taste-okay. Could've used a bit more veg to round out the bahn mi, but it was still solid. Staff asked if we wanted it cut in half - yes please! + chicken wings: omg these were amazing. Hot out of the fryer, crisp skin, insanely juicy and well seasoned. Only 7 flats in an order for $9. Sprinkling of seasoned green onions and chopped jalapeños on top. Wish there were more. Despite the jalapeños, it wasn't spicy and my kids fought over these. I wish the staff could've noticed that we were a table of 4 and brought some small plates for us to use, but the kids didn't mind since they were hunched over the plate fighting over the wings. + 3 color drink: nice ratio of coconut milk, condensed milk, red and mung bean mash at bottom and the green jelly. I've been wanting to go here for a while now. I walked in, and it was packed.  The place was super busy.   There were so many items to choose from,  it was hard not to  make my own sampler.  The place is simply decorated, but ig ready for a post.   I was greeted right away and placed my order for to go.    I ordered: 1. Iced Vietnamese coffee - I was surprised it was made the traditional way,  pour over.   A lot of places nowadays just have it ready to pour over ice.  This was the perfect pick me up for lunch.   Sweet with just the right amount of punch. 2.  Fried egg rolls - So crispy, it doesn't even need the sauce.  The wrapper they used was different and gave you an extra crunchiness. 3.  Grilled beef over rice with egg roll -  The beef was super tender and flavorful.  I liked that for once, it didn't come with a salad but instead possibly picked carrots and daikon?     Overall,  the food was amazing. This was my first time here. I wanted to like the place, but I was disappointed. I ordered a bahn mi combo with chicken and Thai iced tea. The food looked appealing, but it was bland and there was no flavor to be honest. Prices are affordable. I only ate half of my sandwich and left the other half at the table. The Thai iced tea was not sweet at all and tasted old. The only thing that I did like were the shrimp rolls. They were made fresh and the peanut sauce was authentic as well. My husband got the soup and he liked it. The place was clean and cute, but I would not come back to eat the items I just had. This place used to be the old just my toast place. Located in the same plaza as Lucky's. I hate to give a 2 star review for a new restaurant but just sad. The cold cut bahn mi was the saddest bahn mi ever. For $8.50, it was about half the size of many full bahn mi sandwhiches around.!there was only 1 piece of ham and no pate or pork inside.
