Good and generous serving of Vietnamese dishes. Tasty grilled chicken and grilled pork. Nice location to enjoy a meal with family and conversation to catch up.

Came here for dinner and tried their combo rice plate. It was okay since I wanted to try something other than the usual pho order. The service is friendly. The ambiance is casual. Will return to try the rest of the menu.

Decided to grab a quick hearty sandwich for lunch and wound up at Viet Time. Definitely a good choice. I ordered a grilled pork sandwich to go. The Sandwich was relatively a good size especially for the price (under $10). The bread was still warm and crispy on the outside and the grilled pork was tender and delicious! Will definitely go back and try other selections of food offered on their menu .. (There's a sandwich combo with iced coffee or milk tea for a very reasonable price.. can't beat that.)

Amazingly good Bahn Mi with very generous portion of meat. I got the grilled pork. Excellent bread roll with a thin crunchy crust. I would have preferred a bit more grilling sear but it was almost perfect. I would have also preferred the cilantro to be on top instead of under the meat. Very friendly service.

When it's cold, I always crave pho, and this is my go-to place since it's close to home and clean with a nice dining area. The three of us ordered two bowls of pho, a grilled pork vermicelli, and one Vietnamese iced coffee. The young waitress doesn't speak Chinese, so if you talk to her in Chinese, she won't understand you--but it's not that she's rude. Our food came out very quickly, which I appreciated because I was hungry. There's plenty of parking, so that's never an issue. They now have a kiosk where you can place your own order if you prefer. I'll definitely come back when I'm craving a bowl of pho.

    #8 - Combo #1 with vermicelli(Pork Chop, Chicken Wing and Egg Roll)($15)

Came in on a Saturday evening as the original restaurant that my friend and I wanted to go to was closed. The restaurant was brightly lit and had a lot of available seating. Your typical Asian/Vietnamese style restaurant. Ambiance was quite quiet since they wasn't a lot of people other than some takeouts. They had a kiosk near the front where you can order or you can order in front with the owner as well. Restaurant was pretty clean and also had videos playing food from Vietnam on the TV. Service was decent; owner brought over waters and the food came out in a timely manner. I tried: 1) #8 - Combo #1 with vermicelli(Pork Chop, Chicken Wing and Egg Roll)(6.2/10) - A decent bowl of vermicelli noodles. The portion size for the price was very reasonable; a lot of vermicelli noodles, veggies(lettuce, pickled carrots and daikons, bean sprouts and cucumbers), 2 grilled pork chops, 3 chicken wings(drums and wings) and 1 egg roll. Overall the dish was just okay - didn't wow me other than the portion size. The pork chops were marinated well and grilled well, not dry at all. The highlight of the bowl was the chicken wings, those were cooked really well - light, crispy, hot and juicy! The one let down was the eggroll.....I didn't finish this since it had a funky taste...not sure if it was the seasoning or something else. Also, the fish sauce mix was just okay; it lacked the usual umami you get from fish sauce...maybe a bit too diluted; wasn't to my liking. Overall, its a okay Vietnamese restaurant and very affordable. But wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

The Thai Tea was a miss for me. Very powdery, and the milk didn't fully mix in, leaving it clumpy. On the other hand, the Garlic Noodles were tasty, not too oily, and a solid value at $8. I personally wouldn't pay double the price to add protein, but the noodles themselves satisfied my craving. I ordered at the counter for takeout, and my order was ready in under 15 minutes, which was super convenient. The menu has so many options I'd love to try, and I'm definitely planning to come back to explore more dishes.

Super affordable place for banh mi and rice or noodle plates! Their banh mi was under $10 and came with lots of meat. I got the grilled pork banh mi combo with iced Vietnamese coffee. The grilled pork was very tasty but I wished it was slightly charred more. The Vietnamese coffee was strong. Seems like a very popular place because a lot of people were ordering takeout and I saw lots of DoorDash orders too.

I came here during Labor Day weekend because we decided to eat some Vietnamese food for lunch. We were welcomed and seated right away upon entering. It wasn't too busy or loud, so we were accommodated easily when ordering our lunch. Prior to arriving, we already saw the food on Yelp and they all looked so good! My friend and I split the Garlic Noodles with Grilled Chicken and a Grilled Pork Banh Mi to share since we wanted to try both. The bread was a little hard, but the rest of the sandwich was very flavorful! The garlic noodles with chicken were very flavorful as well. I would come back again for the same dishes, as well as try their drinks!

    Special P1. Combo Pho #1
    Kong L.

I stopped in for a bowl of Pho on New Year's Day. The staff here are incredibly kind and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, the Pho itself wasn't quite to my taste. The broth had a very intense beef flavor that felt a bit overwhelming, and I found myself wishing for more spice and complexity. While I'm sure those who prefer a heavy, beef-forward broth would love it, it wasn't the right fit for me and I couldn't quite finish the bowl.

Came back here for a quick lunch. The combo pho my partner got was okay but the bun rieu was delicious! I'd definitely get it again. The service was a little slower this time but the food was consistently the same. The portions and pricing are better than some places in the Bay Area and the service is normally nice. I prefer to get their non-pho soup noodle dishes since they're better than their pho imo. Will be back to try their other soups!

This is the first Vietnamese restaurant I've been to that offered a standard bowl of pho (combo) for over $20. I still remember, long, long time ago, when I could have gotten a bowl of pho $7.95. Crazy. Inflation is insane. However, even at those prices, the food was legit. I don't know if it's worth that price, but it surely didn't make me regret visiting Ben Tre. The combo pho was good. As expected. The garlic noodles with pork was quite tasty and enjoyable. The egg rolls knocked it out of the park. Parking can be a pain in the butt. Exclusively street parking. Restaurant could be cleaner. Staff was fine, but could be nonexistent or overbearing on the same visit. Overall, my visit was fine. Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location. My only disappointment was that I really love papaya salad and it was not an option. I may make this my go-to spot from now on, but as a Yelper, we all know we will keep trying new places. This will be the one I continue to frequent. Well done Pho de Nguyen!

I picked pho Saigon out of other spots in Daly City/SSF because of readily available parking, and went in blind, so it is surprising to me that there are so many bad reviews. My party really enjoyed the pho that we ordered! The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with a clean, no frills interior. They still had a good number of customers during late dinner hours on a weekend, though there was no wait. We each ordered a bowl of beef pho, I got #2. The soup was clean, not overly spiced, and slightly sweet, just the way I like it. If I had to give feedback, it was not as rich as some of my 5 star pho places, but it was a well-balanced bowl nonetheless. I appreciate that they had little containers for the sauces, and that they had chili sauce, sriracha, and hoisin. Since the pandemic I've seen many pho spots lacking some combination of the above items, all of which are crucial to my personal pho enjoyment. Prices were higher here than I am used to, but what else can I expect from SF? The lime, cilantro, and bean sprouts were all clean and fresh. There was a decent amount of meat, not huge enough, in my opinion, to justify $17 for the medium size bowl, but the meat all tasted fresh and I really liked the flavors. The tendon was tender, they did give more tripe than I am used to seeing, and most wonderfully, the brisket tasted properly seasoned, and not just dunked in the broth at the end. I really liked the pho here, and would definitely come back next time I am in the area. Hopefully I don't run into the problems that other diners have pointed out.

Within minutes, we had our plate which we split for as this was my late afternoon "touch-up" after skipping lunch. All ingredients were fresh and on point, but nothing really too remarkable about this dish here. Reasonable amount of pork so that's a plus. I wish there was just a tad more lettuce to go with it. Competent no-nonsense meal this was. The service was fast on delivering the water too. VERDICT: Overall nothing too special here, but this fits the bill when you just want something healthier to eat that isn't fast food. Getting Here: The parking lot in this midi-sized mini-mall is rather small given all the stores here, so you have to hunt a little bit. Seems there is also Sam-Trans bus stop just outside, and hey, if you own a Mercedes (we don't), this is a good place to sit down and enjoy a meal while they are fixing your car just up the hill.

Luckily for us, we found street parking pretty close to the restaurant, but there's also a parking garage right next door which makes it really convenient. A M B I A N C E Upon arrival you are greeted by friendly staff. We didn't have reservations, but were seated promptly. It must've been because we arrived shortly after opening because after ordering our food, we observed customers starting to wait around for tables. The interior is gorgeous. The paintings, chandeliers and modern minimalism were perfect. They also have a cute little bar upstairs that seems like a fun place to hang out for a few drinks. F O O D Now for the most important part... THE FOOD!! I don't think I'm ever going back to the other Vietnamese spot after trying this place out. There's just no comparison. For starters we got the Marrow Cracker which is crispy sticky rice topped with pork belly, beef marrow, onions, fried shallots and bbq sauce. We were on the fence whether to grab an appetizer or not, but I'm glad we went forward with it. Crispy rice, tender pork belly, melt in your mouth bone marrow, savory bbq sauce!! Yummy!!! I ordered the Filet Mignon Pho and not only was it delicious, it was hands down the best bowl of pho I've had in the SF to Peninsula area. The noodles were perfect. I usually hate when the noodles are super thin and just fall apart in the broth, but that wasn't the case here. I also noticed how they don't serve bean sprouts or basil which I didn't even notice until writing the review just now. The bone broth itself was so flavorful that I didn't need to add anything to it besides lime and of course some jalapeños:) My cousin ordered the Chubby Pho which is basically the same thing as the Filet Mignon plus tendon and marrow. I ordered tea and although I prefer loose leaf tea and in a pot, this one was pretty good for what it was Can't wait to stop by again and try all their other fabulous looking dishes and cocktails!! If you're craving Vietnamese and are wondering if to stop by this place, stop thinking and just go... Or don't so it doesn't become too popular and overcrowded lol. Fun fact that I learned just now: Gao Viet owns the same restaurant I was talking about in South San Francisco... Wow!!!!
