It's usually not too crowded so if you need space and attention from the waiter/waitress with a cool romantic dim ambiance then here's your place to go. The Laksa noodles I tried today the soup is very decent. However, noodles were too soft. My friend that ordered the same also said the same.. that usually the noodle here isn't this soft for this dish. Unfortunately this is the first time I tried it so it's what I have to go by. We were the first to walk in on Sunday, but soon people came to pick up take out and one other table was occupied. I went for the house special-the curry laksa soup- and the broth was amazingly delicious. However, the things in the soup were lackluster- the egg and shrimp were still on the cold side and the shredded chicken did not taste fresh. The report on the IPOH shredded fat chicken soup was that it was salty, but broth tasted fine to me. The appetizer wings came out long after the soups. They were nice. Hands down the BEST laksa I've had in the Bay. It had the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and spicy. I still think about Noodle Station's house special curry laksa soup a whole week after my visit -- it was just that good! The spicy roast duck dried ramen was also solid. Duck was lean and tender. If you enjoy sichuan spice (dish itself was like a mild spice level), then this dish is for you! The Jingchuan dumplings were decent; I'd probably skip on this next time to try other dishes. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Pretty authentic Singaporean/Malaysian dishes if I do say so myself. Choy Sum: We ordered a side of this since our dishes didn't have vegetables. These were beautiful choy sum but a bit too oily and salty with the soy sauce. It was cooked a bit over perfect and still hit the spot. The only things the noodle dishes were missing were some vegetables. Either bean sprouts or choy sum would add to the texture and monotony of a carb-dominant dish. I'd also appreciate some side chicken broth to pair with the dry noodle dishes. Came here on a rainy day to finally try the laksa. It did not disappoint. While not cheap ($17.50), it was a large portion and was the best tasting laksa I've had since visiting Singapore 5/5. I can't remember what my sister got but it had small fried fish and some ground meat - she enjoyed the fish but said the broth and noodles were just alright 4/5. Finally, the duck salad is what knocked this from 5 stars to 4, maybe even 3 stars. The salad looked great, but I think it was something in the sauce that tasted like it had gone bad. Had another family come in after and they decided to leave because they could not sit where they wanted to sit. I just sat at a table waiting for someone to come out and hand me a menu. That eventually happened, and I quickly decided on the $17.50 Beef Ribs Rice Noodle Soup. What arrived was somewhat lackluster with just a couple of somewhat overboiled ribs and a few slices of beef balls. The noodles were still epoxied together, and the broth was on the thin side. Between the two of us, we ordered the following: Jingchuan Dumplings Garlic Fries House Special Curry Laksa Soup (Malaysia Style) Beef Ribs Rice Noodle Soup The dumplings and the fries were pretty on par for good tasting. I can not over state how nice it is to have fries with soupy noodles. The delta in textures and saltiness is a nice combination. And I thought the dumplings were a bit heavy on the thinkness of the skin but overall, it was tasty and we finished it. The presentation of the dumplings is nice though. Although highly leary of places that serve too many different styles (Noodle Station offers a few different ethnic styles of noodles), my friend finished off his order of Beef Rib Rice Noodle soup with no complaints.
