Met a friend here for an early dinner and the place was empty. We ordered a signature beef noodle soup and a dish that basically seemed like a spicy tomatoe beef over hand cut noodles. (sorry didn't snap me menu pics). You can order from a QR code at the table and you hear your order go through with a "ding" to the kitchen. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. My friend enjoys spicy so that's what we got. The beef noodle soup was generous with the beef and the spicy was not that bad. The tomatoe beefy noodle was 'cough' spicy! woo wee what heat! After my mouth got used to the spice level, it was pretty tasty! Overall a good hand pulled noodle place that had nice chewy noodles. The place is chill and not so noisy that you have to yell to be heard. I'd come back if i was in the mood for hand pulled noodles!

My wonderful mom picked me up a noodle soup to-go from here. It's a solid noodle soup. The beef is tender and fatty, the noodles are chewy and fresh, and the broth is flavorful with the perfect touch of spice. The portions and prices are spot-on. I can't speak for the service of interior as I got a to-go order.

Local place in Millbrae for hand pulled noodles. You can see the chef in the back hand pulling the noodles which is great to know that is really hand pulled and made in house. The noodles was chewy which cooked perfectly. The service was ok. Kinda tired of viewing menu on your small phone. We decided to ask for a real physical menu so we can look at everything a lot easier. The food was good but I think the OX 9 in San Mateo is little better in terms of flavor. The price was descent not overpriced. The restaurant was not busy so it's easy to get a table for dinner.

Jinweide Lanzhou Beef Noodles in Millbrae is easily one of the best spots for authentic Lanzhou-style hand-pulled noodles in the Bay Area. From the moment you walk in, it feels casual but polished, with a clean, no-frills setup that lets the food shine. The noodles themselves are incredible--freshly hand-pulled, perfectly chewy, and obviously made to order. The broth is rich and savory without being heavy, and the slices of beef are tender and flavorful. You can customize the noodle thickness and spice level, which makes every bowl exactly how you like it. Portions are generous, service is quick and friendly, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. Whether you're a long-time fan of Lanzhou-style beef noodles or trying them for the first time, Jinweide delivers an authentic, satisfying experience that keeps me coming back. Truly one of the best authentic Chinese noodle spots in the U.S.--worth the trip to Millbrae.

Came here during lunch hours with my sister. We ordered braised beef noodles, tomato egg noodles, and the cumin lamb chops. It was around 3pm when we got here. They do have parking here, but it's very limited parking in front of their restaurant. What I really like about this place is that the noodles are made fresh everyday. When you come into the restaurant and sit at the table, you can immediately order through the QR code. I was confused though about the different noodles you can order because it only said extra thin, regular, large, flat, sliced, but didn't show a picture example on the menu of which each one looks like. Because of that, my sister and I ended up ordering the wrong type of noodles. However, the employee was kind enough to give us the correct noodles on the side for us, which we really appreciate! I will say that there is a picture of the different noodles on the wall, but some of the names of the different types of noodles didn't correlate to the names in the QR code menu. I wanted the extra wide noodles, but when you order online or through the QR code, extra wide wasn't an option. The beef in the braised beef noodle soup was very tender. The broth was beefy and comforting. I do wish that there was a way to order extra green onion though. I've seen photos of other people's noodles come with a lot more green onion. If there's a way to customize spice level and the toppings, that would be great. I know you can add fried egg, radish slice, stewed egg, but that is just add-ons. The noodles were pretty good, but I was hoping they would be chewier. I really like how fresh they are though! Tomato and egg is such a classic and definitely did not disappoint. I usually go for a tomato and egg rice dish, but this one is worth trying too! I wish the menu actually had a description of what each noodle dish contains (including the toppings). This one was comforting as well. It was tangy, acidic, not too sour and savory. I like that both of the noodle dishes came with vegetables. You also get a decent amount of noodles. The cumin lamb chops were very flavorful. I'm a big fan of cumin seasoning. The lamb chops were the most expensive item we ordered, but we really wanted to give it a try. They were a little dry, but oily. I did love the crispiness, but some of the ribs did not have a lot of meat on them. The photo online definitely looks meatier. For the amount you're getting and the price you're paying, it wasn't very worth it, but I am still glad I tried it! This one definitely has a kick to it. I enjoyed the food and the friendly customer service. I'd love to come back to try their other noodle dishes.

This is my go to spot for a good bowl of noodles. There are 2 locations, this one and one in San Mateo. The noodles are always made fresh and are handmade. The broth is also flavorful. I like the traditional hand pulled noodles but I've recently been ordering the pickled radish noodles or the oil spill noodles. I usually order the pig ears and the tofu salad as appetizers. It will get busy during busy hours like lunch or dinner so I'd recommend coming at an off time if you don't want to wait. The servers are very efficient so if you're looking for a quick in and out meal this would be the place!

Came in for lunch on a Tuesday. The place was bus but we still managed to get seated very quickly. The inside is very plain, they do have some pictures of their noodles on the walls but nothing to point out. Service is quick and you order through a QR code from your table. We waited about 5 minutes for our food. We had the traditional beef noodle soup with the medium size hand pulled noodles and spicy pig ears. The noodle soup was great! The broth was light and at the same time very flavorful and not overpowering in spices. The noodles were perfectly cooked and fresh. It could have more meat but for the price it is not bad. The pig ears were nicely sliced and not overly spicy to the point you couldn't enjoy them. Overall the food was great, service was fast and the prices were very fair! I'll definitely be back and try the other noodles and soups on the menu.

Now that we are in December, the weather has been super cold and icy. This place is the perfect spot for hot soup and noodles. Mild spicy Braised beef flat noodles was what I ordered and it did not disappoint. Noodles were a bit doughy; however, the clear broth and tender meat made the bowl delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Simple menu, self scan to order, will try other items next visit

I've been to a handful of Taiwanese beef noodle soup shops and compared to others, the flavor here falls a little short. The broth is clean, which I appreciate, but it leans a bit on the bland side. I even had to add more chili oil, which I felt ended up overpowering the original flavor. There was barely a wait time so it's a great place to get in and get out. I do like that you can choose your own noodle style. The noodles were actually bouncy, chewy, and the portion was huge. I couldn't even finish my bowl which might be worth it for some people. Maybe I came on a day when the soup wasn't at its best, but I did enjoy how hearty it was overall. I'd be willing to give it another try.

Stopped by and was able to get seated immediately for a quick, early Saturday night dinner. The restaurant was half full and there were two people working and taking orders. Ended up ordering the beef chow mein, the Lanzhou Traditional Hand Beef Noodle, and some cold side dishes (spicy pig ears and wood ear mushrooms). Safe to say the food is on the bland side. The most flavorful dish was the beef chow mein because of the sauce and variety of vegetables. Both cold side dishes weren't particularly strong in flavor besides the raw garlic in the mushrooms. The spicy pig ears were really hard and chewy, probably would be better if it was cut thinner. Portions were decent for the price, but overall this meal didn't particularly stand out to me.

Good noodles. Good prices. Good broth. Service mixed up my mom's and my noodle sizes (I wanted medium and she wanted thin.) We liked how they were all customizable. Portions are fairly large. It was pretty full around 2pm on a Sunday. Some tables were full and one had a few kids and toddlers and the parents were all drinking in red solo cups and were extremely loud and disruptive.

All in all, I will enjoy coming back for more. Great noodle, fast service. They made noodle fresh right after I ordered it. Beef noodle soup - thick noodle. One of the BEST texture of noodle I've had. I ordered thick and the texture was perfect. Soup wise is like other similar beef noodle place (not the taiwanese ones). Beef is flavorful but pretty thinly sliced. Beef fried rice - When I looked at the photo on menu, it was so white I didn't want to order it. But my wife wanted fried rice so we did. Turn out, it's nicely flavored and better color while frying with soy sauce.

One of our go to hand pulled noodle spots! I love the traditional Lanzhou hand pulled noodles-- the broth is so comforting and you can pick your spice level (none, mild, or spicy). I like the spicy, it has a nice kick but doesn't require you to chug water. You can also pick your noodle width and all of them have a nice chew to it without being too doughy. It's a great portion size for the price and we keep coming back! We also like the Beef Noodles with Chinese Pickles which adds a bit of tanginess to the savory broth. You order on your phone and can have everyone at the table order from their own phones but on the same tab. Once the order is in, they are so quick to bring the food and refill your water often! It's a nice casual spot with delicious food.

I know it's not for everyone, and it can be hard to find a place that prepares it really well. But this restaurant did it perfectly. The intestines were incredibly clean, tender, and flavorful--no smell or anything that would make you uncomfortable. You can tell they really know how to cook it right. What made it even more special was that my son decided to try it for the first time--and he loved it! That moment meant a lot to me. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place, especially if you appreciate authentic flavors done right.

They do have outdoor seating, not that it would help much when the lunch crowd is huge. Since the store name emphasizes on Hainan chicken, i havent quite explored their other menu items. First time I had the Hainan chicken rice plate, another time I had the noodle version. Funnily I find their rice plate version smaller portioned than the noodle soup, however it's not a true Hainan chicken experience without having oil rice. Both dishes serve Hainan chicken with scallion oil marinade and roasted peanuts. While noodles have oyster mushroom and spinach, rice plate has pickled veggies. Overall it gets the craving settled, its not the greatest though. The noodle soup was an interesting option. It feels a bit like when youre making noodle soup at home and just tossed in random toppings. I had corn, spinach, oyster mushroom. Definitely not a combo I see commonly. The soup was not bad, its drinkable, not salt at all. However its a bit odd to pair it with Hainan chicken, perhaps better with fishcake or meat balls, I did see a meatballs version. They do have other noodle style and broths to choose from, such as hot and sour, laksa. They do offer fish paste noodle if you want a teeny tiny bit more protein. Overall food is okay. It's nothing to rave about, even though I love Hainan chicken.

All the ingredients tasted fresh and the dish had a bit of everything we wanted to try. I liked the tofu skin the best, and my daughter loved the crunchy cucumber. It would be even better if they included lotus roots as well. It took a little while for the house special beef noodle soup (less spicy) to arrive, but it was totally worth the wait. It came piping hot. The broth was very flavorful, with the right amount of red pepper. It wasn't oily at all. The beef was super tender. I'm usually a huge fan of braised beef noodle soup so decided to get that here too. There was plenty of meat and oxtail in his bowl. Would we come again, yes!

We came in with a party of thirteen and one baby. We ordered five Thai iced teas, but unfortunately…read morethey tasted like cardboard. Do not recommend it. Menu is on a QR code that was provided on the table. One good thing about ordering on the phone is that it makes it easier to list what everyone wants. The downside is that six people's orders were messed up. I did see the waitress transfer the orders that was on our phone to what seems to be her phone. The waitress had to come back several times to confirm what we ordered. I ordered the oxtail-only pho, but they brought out the combo oxtail pho instead. To their credit, they did give us a free bowl of pho for the mistake and did not charge us the automatic surcharge for a large party. I understand that restaurants get busy, but it was still a frustrating experience.
