The food here is alright. It did not taste like quality meat. Our family ordered fried fish, fried pork, chicken wings, and beef skewers. The flavor of the food was too salty, added with a sensation of heaviness per bite. The food left me searching for water or tea to constantly wash it down. Even as I leave the restaurant, I feel lethargic. Be advised that they charge 3% on top of your bill if you pay with card. However, you can avoid that fee if you pay with cash.

Yeah this restaurant has become one of our favorite go to spot. It has gotten so much better with time. The service is really fast and the food is delicious. I love their roast duck! I love roast duck in general though so i always get that. I tried their fish with explosive chili and wow it has become my favorite. The restaurant is very cozy and it could get busy but they turn around is fast.

This is my dad's and my go to spot if we don't feel like cooking. Our go to orders: - skewers - cooked a bit more than I would like, but very seasoned - spring onion pancakes - crispyyyyyyy - dried fried chicken wings - similar to san tung. Saucy, but not too saucy, crispy, light spicy, light sweet. - pickled fish - lots of pickled veggie flavor, lots of fish - pao choy - similar to what you get in China, good wok hay The service is quick and prompt. Food travels well if you do take out. Parking isn't always readily available, but it will be if you circle for a bit.

Spicy House is an unassuming gem that combines delicious food with great value. The service is kind and attentive, and the food is served quickly with generous portions. The restaurant was busy even at 2 pm on a Saturday. We got the dry fried chicken wings (which, counterintuitively, comes with a generous heaping of a sweet and savory sauce) and the mapo tofu lunch special, which had a pleasantly numbing spice. The lunch specials come with rice and soup of the day and are available daily from 11 am to 4 pm. There is also a 3% discount if you pay with cash. Metered street parking (only accepts quarters, not credit cards) is available in front of the restaurant, but we were lucky and found free parking on a side street.

Pretty good homestyle Sichuan food! We were craving spicy food and stopped by this spot after exploring Pacifica. To share between 2 people we got the Spicy Boiled Beef, Chili Wontons, and Chinese Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. Loved the Spicy Boiled Beef which was my favorite dish and such a classic. The beef is super tender and there is a ton of napa and bean sprouts in the spicy broth. Chili Wontons and Chinese Eggplant were good as well and I though the portions were fairly large overall. While everything was tasty, I wish the dishes were actually spicer and it did feel quite heavy after. While it's a decent neighborhood spot, I probably wouldn't be back purposefully unless I'm in the area again.

Spicy House is one of our favorites! We love their salt and pepper pork chops -- crispy and flavorful. The staff are super friendly and the service is quick. The beef fried rice and chicken chow mein are both really good, and the scrambled egg with shrimp, especially with some hot chili, is the perfect combo with white rice. Definitely a spot we'd keep coming back to.

Delicious and authentic Sichuan food to satisfy your spice cravings! FYI my review is for large takeout order. I placed an online order for like 11 dishes including a small size party tray for their house fried rice. I arrived about 15 mins early and it was already packed up and prepared. The staff were surprised at the order but were super lovely and helpful. I'm glad I tipped them ahead because it is a lot of work to put the dishes together in boxes for safe transport. Not all restaurants will do that for you btw. Anyways on to the food, everything was so good. Highlights were the chicken wings, mapo tofu, sichuan spicy beef, and the boiled fish w pickled cabbage! My party included Chinese, Burmese, korean people and they all loved the food. I do wish they clarified what meat to go with the fried rice because online there was no option so I added a comment to include chicken. It came out w all meat options (beef, chicken, vegetables and shrimp) which is honestly a great thing, but i have folks who don't eat beef. That was probably the most unfortunate thing. But it is not worth docking a star for that. I'm just glad I got a whole variety of stuff so everyone could have something. I would definitely come back and enjoy all of their spicy dishes!

Good flavors on the food but the textures are off and they dont pay attention to details. Kung pow chicken not spicy, weirdly enough. Chowmein noodles had no bite. The dan dan noodles were way to thick. The crab Rangoon were flat and the egg rolls were definitely not homemade and they were soggy. The walnut prawns also super soggy!!! We tipped really well on take out and the rude lady who checked us out was making comments about how much we ordered. Very odd & unnecessary if you want people to return. Saying we need to order less food bc we eat too much is so odd for a business to do. Maybe she was saying that bc the portions are good size. I wanted to love this place bc it had great reviews and is closer to my house. Im glad I tried it but will not return.

Did family style with some friends, we tried: 水煮鱼, 鱼香茄子,口水鸡, dry fried chicken, pan fried noodles, and 包菜. Some of the dishes felt really spicy (I have mild-medium spice tolerance), but I was able to eat without continuously feeling my tongue burn. I think all of the dishes were really good, but I think my favorites were the chicken dishes and eggplant. Definitely recommend getting with rice! Service was very fast. One person dropped their chopstick and immediately the waiter brought another one because he heard it drop. There's not a ton of seating inside, but wooden chairs with leather-esque cushions and red painted walls with lots of picture of their dishes. This is close to Stonestown Galleria, so if you're headed back to South Bay after a trip there -- worth a stop.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when browsing for Szechuan food near Daly City. Surprisingly it was pretty good despite its small restaurant size and random location. We ordered the mapo tofu, Szechuan spicy fish, sesame chicken, and Szechuan spicy chicken wings. Our favorite was the Szechuan spicy fish which is a staple and must try at all Szechuan restaurants. The bean sprouts and Napa cabbage in the boiled chili were extremely flavorful. Our other favorite was the sesame chicken which was crispy and covered in a sweet & sour sauce! The chicken wings were alright, they had a really nice crisp to them, but they were a bit dry and the inside had no flavor(maybe not marinated for long enough?). The mapo tofu was also just okay as it was nothing special. Overall, the food was pretty good and definitely curbs your craving for mala and Szechuan food. The staff were also nice, but it was a bit hard to flag them down as there were a lot of togo and phone orders.

A great dinner, full of flavor and our selections made the perfect family dinner. Attentive, quick service, no wait for us- we arrived a bit before dinner time, does get full at dinner time. FYI- There are lunch specials. War Won Ton soup- great broth, delicious soup Basil Chicken- good meat, gravy, tasty not spicy Honey Walnut Prawns- beautiful tasty, large portion Steamed Rice Friendly local place, huge selection for a small restaurant. Interior is clean and nicely decorated. Limited Street Parking! ... we suggest you park in the Lucky's Shopping Center in the next block, easy walk.

I came in as a party of 2 on a Sunday night about an hour before closing. This restaurant is on the main street, which is usually busy, but since it was late, there was plenty of parking. When we walked in, we seated ourselves. The place is pretty small, with around 10 tables, so if you have a larger group, it's probably best to call ahead. We ordered three dishes: - pea sprouts with garlic - mapo tofu - cumin beef I do wish they had told us the pea sprouts weren't fresh or offered a different veggie, as they were old and tough. We ended up having to spit out every bite, which made it really unenjoyable. The mapo tofu was good, though the sauce was thicker than I'm used to but it still paired well with rice. Both my dad and I loved the cumin beef. The beef was super tender, flavorful, and delicious. The onions and bell peppers it came with were cooked perfectly, adding a nice crunch. The default spice level was pretty spicy, so next time I'll definitely ask for less heat so everyone at the table can enjoy it.

    Bill P.

Simple restaurant that is a hidden spot. They take their name seriously. The environment included 8-9 total tables with lots of customers. There was quick turnaround for the tables. Food: Dry dried chicken wings: the sauce is sweeter and it's a good equivalent to San Tung without the wait Braised Beef noodle: the beef was tender, soup was clear and noodles were chewy Kung pao beef: perfect with ride. the dish was filled with aromatics and the beef was very tenser. this dish is not for everyone due to the spice Chili oil wonton: worth a try. the wonton was a bit bland on the inside. Spicy fried cabbage: a big portion with crunchy texture and this was very spicy Boiled fish with pickled cabbage: the fish was soft, vegetables were good and a balance to everything Service is provided by a friendly women who covers the entire dining room. They provided us with extra napkins, waters, and refilled our tea. There is a 3% discount for cash and 3% surcharge for card. They serve beer to supplement the meal.

We started to see plates arriving for other tables, prompting us to investigate the status of our food. Upon checking, we discovered that our order had been lost. After waiting for half an hour, we were informed that they had misplaced it. Consequently, we had to place our order again. Let's dive into the details of our dishes: - #210: Roasted Duck Burrito: The burrito lacked substantial duck meat, and the wrap was not warm as it should have been. - #405: Shui Mai: This dish was consistent with the taste of other Shui Mai we've had. - #409: Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce: Regrettably, we never received this dish. - #416: Har Gaw: This was the last dish served us. When the bill arrived, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service, and the waiter responded with a series of "ok"s. No water, just pure concentrated flavor. The restaurant gets its name from simmering, one of the essential Chinese cooking techniques, and you can taste that philosophy across the whole menu. The Dry Pot lived up to the hype, but the real surprise was the skewers. Beef, lamb, and chicken, intensely flavorful and rich. I can't stop thinking about them. The potstickers were also way better than expected. Usually a throwaway order at most places, but here they were juicy and packed with flavor. The beef pancakes were fantastic. Golden and crispy on the outside, juicy flavor bomb on thes inside. Both crunchy and a little chewy (in the good way). Came back a few weeks later with friends and ordered the whole grilled fish, which I'd been eyeing since my first visit. It looked magnificent, but it didn't really pop the way the other dishes did. If you love fish it's worth trying, but the dry pot, skewers, beef pancakes, and dumplings are the stars here. We also got a few veggie dishes which were all great accompaniments...but nobody is here for the veggies. A few practical notes. They have a beer tap but it doesn't work, so if you're into beer, they've got a few options by the bottle. Parking is easy since it's in the Serramonte Center, and you can combine it with a trip to Jagalchi, Target, or whatever else you need. Both times I came there was plenty of seating. I'll be back soon, and next time I'm getting the dry pot with their handmade noodles.

They are located in a strip mall near several different food places, bakery, and a bowling alley. This is a solid dim sum place, with no frills and reasonable prices. You order off a printed menu that's in Chinese with tiny English subtitles. You can also order off their regular menu if you want to supplement the dim sum dishes. Their food is very good, and some dishes were excellent. The service was pretty quick, and before we knew it, all our dishes were out with almost no room on the lazy Susan. The standouts for me were: + Steamed custard buns (piggy buns) - I ordered these for the kiddies, but dang they are so good. The custard filling is so velvety, it's almost like pudding. I think I detected a hint of coconut too - yum. + Beef chow fun - this had a really good wok flavor and the noodles were less wide than most. The noodles didn't clump either, and the bean sprouts were still crispy. + Roasted pork belly - the skin was so crispy and the pork was juicy. We ordered most of the basic dishes like har gaw, sui mai, noodle rolls, turnip cake, stuffed eggplant, chicken feet, etc. and they were all above average. My only complaint is if you don't read Chinese, the menu is a little hard to navigate. The English subtitles are so small that if you're looking for something, you have to scan the front and back of the menu trying to find the item. I was looking for sticky rice in lotus leaf, but found sticky rice roll and thought it was the same thing. It wasn't. The sticky rice roll was not bad, but I found the rice drier than when it's in lotus leaf. We ordered a few things by mistake because the English subtitles were not that descriptive. Overall, a great alternative to more popular places like Koi Palace. The menu may not be as creative as Koi, but you don't have to deal with the lines and you still get great food.
