I cannot recommend this dumpling restaurant more! Not only is it lowkey with a short wait time, but they have plenty of dishes that all taste equally delicious. Their chicken fried rice, which is usually a simple dish, was perfect! This was my first time trying a beef roll, and inside it is fresh cucumber which paired perfectly with the fried outside wrapped and beef. The house special pan fried pork bao was juicy and savory. Lastly, my favorite dish of the night was the crab and pork Xiao Long Bao. It was perfectly soupy, and the broth is seriously addictive. Great lunch spot if you're craving Chinese food. Service was okay but can't say too much as it was one guy running the show. Forgot our waters until we asked but no big deals. Easy to pick up from the top with chopsticks and they give you these nice dumpling spoons for you to eat it in. Very flavorful and plenty of soup! Vinegar dip sauce was on the weak side in my opinion but that's also a good thing to not take away from the soup flavor. 4) three flavor dumpling - this was good on its own but after having the XLB, it felt lackluster so no fault in the dish, just had high competition lol. Standard steamed dumpling. Saw you can choose boiled, steam, or pan fried option ($1 more). 5) braised beef noodle soup - a bit pricey for my liking at $17.99. Wish there was more meat. Pretty standard, nothing special to me but good enough portion to share between 2 people. Meat were tender and soup had a decent kick to it 6) shrimp toast - this was AMAZING. May not be that for everyone but for me, it brought me back to my childhood. Reminded me when I would go to do dim sum spots with the workers pushing the cart. They would have these crab claws that was basically crab claw wrapped with fried shrimp served with a sweet-ish mayo dip. It tasted EXACTLY like that but with Chinese fried dough stick aka Youtiao. Very glad we got this to try and it's going to be something we order again. Food came out within 10-15 mins and literally one after the other without break so that was awesome! One place is a hidden gem by a golf course and Lake Merced where there are thousands of Gators ( Gaters) walking around Park Merced and between San Francisco State University and in neighboring Stonestown. It is rare to see a shopping strip mall in San Francisco and especially one located not visible to lots traffic. One place which offers different types of dumplings is Brochette Dumplings. You will find pan fried dumplings, Xiao Long Bao, and delicious dim sum. On a hot day in San Francisco I enjoy some delicious dim sum and I had to order dumplings. You can taste the freshness with the fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the Xiao Long Bao but it kept squirting soup and luckily they offered a soup spoon to eat it with. I also had the garlic honey fried chicken and its was tender and very flavor and not too sweet and boneless ( my favorite). The only dry item was the Taiwanese inspired popcorn chicken but that's how it's made and it had good flavor and a good crunch and it brought balance to the wet meal I was having. A good place to grab dumplings in the cuts of San Francisco. I was craving some beef noodle soup and decided to try this place. It's located in an area that I honestly never knew existed. Parking was not bad and I was able to get a table without any issues. We ordered off the QR code and food came quickly and was hot! The shrimp toast was like a fried Chinese donut with shrimp paste. It was a great appetizer and I can see how it's a top seller. I definitely recommend trying it if you want an appetizer to share. The pig ears are crunchy but not as spicy as I hoped. My favorite was their beef noodle soup, which I thought was comparable to the bowls I had in Taiwan (maybe even better than some of the places I tried there). Soup was well spiced (but not spicy) although the noodles didn't really have that QQ bouncy texture. Sheng jian bao was nice and juicy. Beef pancake was yummy as well. Chili oil dumplings were standard; I think I like chili oil wonton with some sweet soy sauce and vinegar added. Overall, this is a place that I would come back to. Solid dumpling spot next to SFSU near the apartments! Their dumplings were fresh, soupy, and tasty! My sister and I came here with our families and a bunch of our kids. The worker was able to accommodate by providing high chairs for our toddlers. The restaurant had a window where we could watch the workers wrap dumplings and xiao long bao. We were seated right next to the window and saw all the action. It was cool! We tried a variety of items. My favorite was their xiao long bao. It was warm, not burning hot like some places and after putting the whole xiao long bao in my mouth, there was so much soup. It was tasty! The pork and cabbage dumplings were not oily and pretty good. The chicken chow mein was pretty flavorful! Our toddlers loved it! The dry-fried spicy chicken wings were not spicy at all. This place was rebranded from Mom Dumpling, and I don't know why the word "brochette" is "in" now. I had to look up what it was, but it still doesn't make sense because there's no skewers here. I wonder if they're related to the similarly named RWC restaurant? On that same vein, their website contains some oddly unfactual statements about themselves! Aside from the mumbo jumbo, Brochette Dumpling is located in a small strip mall area amongst a few suspect establishments. There's an adequate amount of parking here (and not too popular businesses), so fear not that it's in San Francisco. The service is very fast, and the food comes out pretty instantly. Some tables are next to outlets, so charge up if you need! You can either scan a QR code to order, or order with a waiter. I like that everyone gets a small dumpling spoon on their plate from the beginning. - Pork Dumpling in Chili Oil The filling is pretty tasty with a shu mai consistency. The chili oil was also flavorful, with a subtle chili soy and sesame oil taste. - House Special Pork XLB The dumpling skin was pleasantly delicate with some chew, and there was a lot of soup and meat inside! It hit all the notes of what a good XLB should have, and I would order this again and say it's on par with Din Tai Fung quality. - Pan Fried Pork Bao This was my favorite item, and from the looks of other reviews, the usual suspect for top contender in a popularity contest. They were cute little dumplings that got pan fried on the bottom where the skin gets thicker, but had a pretty thin and delicate top. I was surprised at how well the bottom crunched up without the dough getting too hard. Also, juiced squirted out at me, so that's always a good thing. The meat filling was soft and yummy, and I would insist on every table ordering this. - Korean Fried Sauce Noodle The noodles are absolutely their weak point, and I was pretty disappointed at what I thought would be jajangmyeon. This was just some minced meat gravy over overcooked noodles... In fact, it tasted like I got a pack of Maruchan ramen and left it on the stove for half an hour that rendered it overcooked, soggy, wilted, and disintegrated. The flavor of the minced meat was alright, but it's too overpriced for the sad state of noodles. - Braised Beef Brisket Noodle Soup Noodles here had the same issue described above, but this tasted better because the soup was beefy and flavorful with a kick. However, the soup was also extremely oily, as if they put several spoons of chili oil inside. This might be the oiliest beef noodle soup I've ever had, actually. In essence, come here for the dumplings, ESPECIALLY the pan fried pork baos, and stay away from the noodles. This place is good and in a city full of dumplings restaurants (maybe saturated with them), I was impressed with Brochette Dumpling. San Francisco is very lucky to have some top notch dumpling Chinese restaurants. My family and I got the scallion pancakes, XLBs, pan fried dumplings, pot stickers, Dan Dan noodles, chicken chow mein, and some lunch specials ($10ish which is a great value!). We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated immediately as we had reservations. Parking lot is a plus and it is really well lighted so felt very safe. We ordered 9 dishes for 6 people. Portions are small. Each dish was just a bite for each person. Green beans were cooked just right. The two XLB's were good but broth inside was just okay, but the skin was thin and meat tasty. Hot & sour soup had good ingredients and was good. Chicken fried rice was very good. Garlic cucumber appetizer had lots of garlic. Honey Garlic Chicken was nicely crunchy on the outside, moist inside but could use a tad more flavor but the honey garlic sauce made up for it and was good with the fried rice. Tan tan noodles were just okay, as I thought it needed more flavor? The hot chili won ton was tasty and just enough chili but not too spicy. It has a decent amount of parking spots and is surrounded by the Park Merced apartments/condos. It's spacious with comfortable modern furniture. This soup was a bit greasy for my taste, but the beef was so tender and fell apart in your mouth. We kept our selections small, it was a good dinner date. There were two other tables when we walked in. We were seated right away. My favorite dishes were the tofu, beef rolls, and veggie noodles. Tofu melts in your mouth and has a light crisp outer shell.
