Amazing place. Everything was great and fresh. Everything was also done in like 15 minutes, they're so fast! Nice and inviting restaurant with very nice staff. The inside is a traditional Chinese restaurant, very homey. We lived everything, but the star was definitely the tea marinated chicken, omg it was so good. Will come back for more and more and more!

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Tea-smoked Chicken--it's flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The roasted chicken and duck are also excellent, with crispy skin and tender meat, making them classic, reliable choices. The restaurant is a typical, no-frills Chinese eatery. It's functional for a casual meal but doesn't offer any particular atmosphere or stylish décor. Be prepared for a relaxed pace. The service is notably slow, so it's not the place for a quick meal if you're dining in. Win's Restaurant is a destination for its fantastic tea-smoked and roasted meats, not for its service or ambiance. It's best enjoyed as a top-tier takeout option. Order to-go to enjoy the excellent food without the wait.

It was around dinner time and wanted some bbq meat to go. We decided to try Win's restaurant again. The place is kind of dark inside. Not too many tables, but it wasn't crowded. We could have eaten there, but we just wanted it to go. We've had their food a few years back, but it was pre-pandemic. We weren't sure what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised! We got 1/2 a duck and some roast pork. We did reheat the roast pork and duck in an air fryer for about 8 minutes and the skin was SO crispy! And the duck was seasoned just right and not overly salty. Not bad for under $30.

A go-to spot for BBQ/roast meats, perfect to get takeout for a family dinner My family and I got a whole Tea Marinated Chicken (their speciality) for $26 cash Probably one of the best chickens I've had in a while, the meat is fresh, tender, not dry at all, slippery texture, and very flavorful The soy and tea marinade is really captured by both the dark chicken skin and the meat Would definitely go again to get the chicken and other roast meats like duck or BBQ pork Best if you can speak Cantonese and pay in cash (all the customers there with me spoke Cantonese and there's a 3% credit card fee)

Looks like there's new owners because this place doesn't look like any of the older photos here. We dined in. Restaurant was clean. Not a lot of people. We were able to grab a table I wanted to sample their deli so ordered several items over rice. The bbq pork was yummy. And kudos for the lean meat Siu yuk had a good portion of meat and fat. Too bad the skin was non existent. BBQ pork chow mein had a lot of wok hei. Simply delicious. Service was fast. 3% surcharge levied if you pay by credit card.

Okay okay okay The place on ocean used to be the crown prince of soy sauce chicken and roast pork. But this might have taken the cake. Arrived at 1pm on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. The staff was kind and provided insight. The restaurant was as clean as a traditional Chinese restaurant can be. The highlight was the tea chicken and roast pork as pictured. This was dead on finger lickin good. The steamed veggies was not it, if I'll be honest. Stray away from the veg, move toward the wedge of meat. Ooowie good stuff Big Mitch

Fish filet clay pot - full of fish! Tasty braise

Unique dishes from a local Chinese eatery - perfecto! Once again, they do it well. This time, I tried the fish clay pot, and it was on the spot! It was a full, heavy takeout container filled with fish filet (yep, deboned!) and tons of roasted tofu. The sauce goes well with rice. I heard that they are open for dine-in nowadays, but takeout is always popular. They are nice And took credit card last time I was back. I think they remodeled now too, so it should be more comfortable. Beware of parking! People who double-parked here got honked at and yelled at by tons of cars passing by and having to go around random cars double-parked. I saw it myself when I parked in an open spot and just watched it unfold in front of me. Lol. Then the driver who was double-parked just moved the car. There is parking usually around the corner or a half a block away - yep, not far at all.

This is my #200 YELP Review !! 10/17/2025, I ordered from Win's delivered DoorDash after work and I waited at my car for the delivery. Anyways, a co- worker spoke well of the way Win's restaurant stating they cook their Peking Duck by using their hands to turn over the bird while in the oven instead of packing their ovens together with chicken and other food items. Win's carefully cook their duck separately from other food. I taste the difference between Win's Peking Duck and the restaurant i have been a patron for decades in Oakland named New Gold Medal. Win's WIN !!!

Reasonable pricing, service & food. Great small plates. Roast duck, BBQ pork, Asian BBQ spareribs, boiled or soy sauce chicken. Deli & resturant. Busy deli take out traffic . Don't want the place grow to the point where it can be busy to enjoy a meal there!

Small restaurant located on Taravel outer sunset. It was my first time eating here and won't be my last! Service was great and friendly. We got a bunch of different dishes, my favorite is their soy sauce chicken. I loved the saltiness of it. They also have some already made Asian savory snacks to go and have duck/cha siu/chicken... My family didn't know they close at 6:30pm and we got there at 6pm. They were very friendly the whole time and we were the last table to leave. My family thought it was weird they were cleaning up and some workers were leaving, we didn't think it's because they actually closed. We thanked everyone at the end and the person chopping the meats at the front was so kind and actually thanked us for coming to support their business it was such a cute and wholesome moment. Overall Rating: 10/10

I had a day where I was literally CRAVING duck but I wanted it to be from an authentic, family-owned restaurant. I'm one of those people that will drive around and see how a place looks on the outside and if I don't see the vibe I'm looking for, I leave, lol! I finally found Win's Restaurant. As soon as I saw the roasted duck in the window AND easy street parking, I was sold. I ordered the roasted duck and BBQ pork over rice. They gave me a huge serving, with extra sauces and I was served very quickly! I'm giving a 4 star rating because I do wish that I had meatier pieces of duck so I know when I go back to request that but overall my craving was satisfied because the flavor was phenomenal!

Super dissapointed in the new ownership. The prices have gone up, and the food quality and quantity have gone down. I just happened to be buying a drink at Andytown when my roommate asked if we should try it out. I love duck, so I said yes. The wonton duck noodles are small portions and the duck itself is like scraps. The duck wasn't as flavorful as it was in past years. I think it's because the OG chef left. The beef stew was tough and chewy. For $50 for 2 duck wonton soups and a beef stew it seemed pricey and not excellent like it used to be. #sad

Delicious lunch w my parents. My dad is sharing that this is one of the best Roast Duck & Roast Chicken he has eaten in SanFran- 100% authentic and quality ingredients. Service fast and accommodating! The owner was super friendly and chatted stories w my dad for a bit in Cantonese. He doesn't speak English. All the signs/menu on the wall are displayed in Cantonese. They do offer a full color menu of dishes pictured in English and Chinese. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend all their bbq items - true Hong Kong style! What a great little neighborhood spot for take out, catering or a quick lunch w friends. BTW, my whole family is from Hong Kong :)

Once they started calling tables, it moved really fast. When we were seated, we ended up sharing a table with two other groups of two. I actually didn't mind it at all because there was still enough space between everyone to have privacy. It also made the experience feel more social -- I ended up chatting with the people to my right and left about the food. Everything we ordered was really good. Their popular dry fried chicken absolutely lived up to the hype and was probably my favorite thing on the menu... besides the cherry pork. I feel like nobody talks about the cherry pork enough! It was SO good -- kind of like a sweet-and-sour pork without the sour. I dipped it in soy sauce because I loved the sweet and salty combo together. The dumplings were also really good. The wrapper was thin and delicious, but my boyfriend said he wished they had a little more protein filling and less leek. The green beans are always a hit. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again was the black bean sauce noodles. Maybe I just expected a different flavor, but to me they honestly tasted like regular lo mein. I'm also not a huge noodle person in general, so I'd probably skip them next time and order something else instead. Forgot to mention their prices are on point! Definitely recommend to any of the tourists. I think the weight is definitely worth it and I love being able to take home my leftovers and eating them for lunch and dinner the next day.

WHAT A GEM in SF Chinatown!…read more Hubby secured hard to get reservations and the very next day, I see a friend post her visit on IG Stories. I asked her, "What's good?" Her response... "Everything!" That's all one needs to say. At the entrance, clearly marked are signs reading, "Reservations" and "Walk-ins". Since we had reservations, we waited only a few minutes to get seated at the bar. The bar makes it easy to converse with your partner and to peer over as the fire from the range springs up from the kitchen. Our server brought us some "Free Bites" of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. She was such a pleasant lady with quite the wit that made me laugh between courses. We ordered a full bottle of Negori sake. Note: if you do not finish the sake bottle, they cannot pack it to go for you, so drink up! Obviously, we couldn't order everything on the menu. For our first visit, we definitely wanted their special dish, Fried Squab. It was delicious! The meat was moist and the dipping salt with Sichuan peppercorn paired perfectly! Just don't focus too much on the visual... the head and claws. Hot Mustard Jellyfish Salad ~ I loved the "crunch" of the jellyfish and the hot mustard marinade was just spicy enough to start a slow burn up the nose. Beef Chow Fun Noodles ~ Delicious and so very savory. I was amazed at how flavorful this dish was without being salty. Clay Pot Rice w/Chinese Sausage & Bacon ~ Loved how the entire pot was seasoned nicely. The sauce did not only sit at the top, but penetrated deep down into the rice. XO Escargot w/Milkbread ~ I've only had French Escargot and these are just as good, if not better! Fish Fragrant Eggplant ~ Another savory and very umami dish. Red Bean Shaved Ice ~ Always a refreshing dessert. Dig in for the surprise in the center. We had such a nice, cozy dinner here. Even while at the bar, we never felt for lack of space. They paced the dishes out perfectly, so there was always room to eat and enjoy. Looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu.

The mixture of proteins was also tasteful. Now for the pork dumplings, the presentation was nice and also tasted great with nice hints of shrimp. I'm thinking "o, I thought for happy hour I must be seated only at the bar, ok lets get a table instead then, maybe more comfortable." Got settled down and seated in the main dining room which was super loud. another server comes and I ask about happy hour menu and he said no that's at the bar only. so why were we ushered to this table? so I got out of that room and went to find myself a seat at the bar instead. bar is much quieter which is nice and more relaxing. for happy hour the ha gow and siu mai is about $1-2 off. coffee lava bun is good, gooey coffee filling inside and perfectly baked bun outside! 18% gratuity auto added onto all bills big beautiful space, especially outdoors with the ferry building view the cod is incredible. about $56 for half size and $100 for large size.

Good dim sum in a nice location! So many great dishes. Where do I start? With the best!…read more Baked BBQ Buns with a sugar crust: The pork was slightly sweet, which is a good thing. Soft, soft bun. The crust makes it transcendent. Steamed Pork Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce: The sauce is very light, with a few black beans and peppers making an appearance. Steamed shrimp and chive dumplings: The shrimp pieces were large and the chive made it even better, Steamed har gow dumplings: Big and juicy pieces of shrimp inside of the dumplings went well with my requested chili sauce. Dessert: I liked that these egg tarts were on the smaller size since we were stuffed by this time and they were a perfect end to a great meal. Service was quick. They'll bring your water and tea almost immediately and take your order a minute later if you're ready. By 20 minutes later, all the dishes had been delivered. If you drive, get parking validation. Also a convenient walk from the BART/Muni station and cable car stop.
