    Sea bass - Miso marinate
    Damon B.

The sea bass here is fantastic. To get it to go you have to order it a day before which is annoying. BUT SO WORTH IT.

Deep fried chicken with sticky rice (need to place special order!)

Chinese dinner done right! Food tastes authentic and they have that "wok hei". We ordered a bunch of dishes for Lunar New Year and they were mostly all hits. Duck with the soft bao, stir fry pork intestines, yang chow fried rice, green beans, tofu with mixed meats on top, shredded chicken, lamb bowl, special sauce fried pork, and many many more. I can't remember the specific names of these but that's more or less what they are! We also special ordered this deep fried chicken with stuffed sticky rice. This was a wild dish, only place that I've seen it. Seems like it requires insane technique to make. It's basically an entire chicken with just the skin and they stuff the entire thing with sticky rice and deep fry it. It's definitely something to try. As for flavor itself it was just OK, nothing too special. Their service is excellent as well. The two female staff was very kind to our party and really quick with fulfilling requests such as bringing us water and helping us wrap up the food for leftovers. At the end of the meal, like most Chinese meals, they bring out red bean soup for dessert. My absolute favorite! It's like and refreshing and sweet and hits the spot after a hearty meal. When you enter the restaurant itself you are greeted with just the takeout area but you make your way up the stairs for the main dining room which is quite open. They have some pretty large tables available as well. The setting is of a typically Chinese restaurant so we're all too familiar and felt right at home! Delicious!

Been here over a handful of times. It's good, and convenient when we are in the area. I haven't had a bad dish here yet but my favorite is definitely the noodles in the clam shell. Service is great, and this place is usually always packed for dinner. Will continue to be a regular! Solid Chinese food and dinner place. Everything's well seasoned and flavorful.

Peking Pork Chops & Braised Pork Belly, both super tender and so good.

Unfortunately where I currently live there isn't any Chinese restaurant that serves nearly as good food as my basic to go Chinese places in the city. Whenever I roll through the Ingleside area I try to get my 'to go' fix from Won Kok. I literally crave their Peking Pork Chops. Why? They are super tender and the sauce it's cooked in isn't icky sweet and has the perfect savory/sweet/sour balance that I like for my taste. I also love their Braised Pork Belly with preserved vegetables. Super tender and so good. Parking is terrible in the neighborhood but thankfully I have a lot of patience to drive around until I find an available spot.

Went to this place on a Thursday night with my group of basketball guys, and it was pretty busy. Our reservations were for 7:30, and they were very welcoming. The staff was friendly and tentative. The food came out fast, and it tasted great. One of the best things is that there are no corkage fees. The only issue can be parking, but you can find some in the neighborhood. It is a wonderful neighborhood find.

It was packed on Tuesday before Father's Day. Call to make a reservation if you have a large party. Come early because parking can be hard to come by. All the dishes we got were good. We barely had any leftovers after the dinner. A table favorite this time around was the braised beef with turnip. It was very tender and the turnip absorbed the soup, making it soft and juicy. The duck was beautifully cooked. Everyone at the table left with fully and happy bellies.

My friends and I came here for our lunar new year dinner. The food is authentic and it's really how the local Chinese like to eat. We shared the hot and sour soup, lamb stew, clams, baby mustard greens and the crab with ginger and scallions. We really enjoyed our meal here. Service was what you'd expect for a local Chinese restaurant. The ambiance is also what you'd expect - it's the classic set up with several large tables that cater to big families. With tax and tip, this was about $60 per person, which is reasonably priced for what we got.

My cousins are in town and they got invited to this local place, the food was quite delicious, especially the soup and sticky rice chicken. The sticky rice has comes with tons of ingredients chopped up and then added to the whole chicken skin, deep fried to a crisp. Their formula is different from East Bay Chinese restaurants but was just as good. Servers were very chill and nice. Great venue for families. Seafood selection was also large, we got giant clams steamed. Let me know if you like it. Will return soon!

This restaurant opened long long time ago and is a local gem for the area. Street parking only, a bit hard to find parking. The food we ordered was delicious. We ordered whole soy sauce chicken, crispy pork knuckle and miso glazed black code. All server there are friendly. Small cozy restaurant but better to call for reservation than walk in. Will go again when I am in the area. Signature dishes: Soy sauce chicken - can taste rose wine on the soy sauce Crispy Pork Knuckle - yummmmy. Crispy and flavorful. The miso code fish also good!

This has got to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I have tried in America. You just can't find Cantonese food this good outside of San Francisco. I would HIGHLY recommend you get the stuffed chicken (needs to be ordered a day in advance). It might be in my top 10 favorite dishes ever. The vibe is classic and very San Francisco Chinese. Bring a friend and feast! Also- fantastic service..

You know it's good if your parents say it's good. Super authentic Chinese food, everything we ordered just hit the spot. My personal favorite was the crab which was super fresh, idk how to tell but I'm taking my parents word for it who worked in restaurant business for 15+ year. Honestly everything was good, I'm usually not a fan of Chinese food cuz of the grease but every thing made here wasn't too heavy and the flavor was just perfection. Everything came out super quick. Decent customer service. There's 3 floors and the 3rd was halfway packed on a Tuesday! Just imagine the weekend lol. Maybe a little hazardous because it is quite cramped on the 3rd. Plenty of parking, might get lucky and be one intersection away.

First time going to this restaurant I thought the food was good and tasty, feel the service was pretty quick and the time we went there it was good timing no waiting so that was cool. It was pretty quiet cuz it was just my friends and I eat there, overall it was good experience like the food a lot, my friends did the order so I was pretty impressed

Once they started calling tables, it moved really fast. When we were seated, we ended up sharing a table with two other groups of two. I actually didn't mind it at all because there was still enough space between everyone to have privacy. It also made the experience feel more social -- I ended up chatting with the people to my right and left about the food. Everything we ordered was really good. Their popular dry fried chicken absolutely lived up to the hype and was probably my favorite thing on the menu... besides the cherry pork. I feel like nobody talks about the cherry pork enough! It was SO good -- kind of like a sweet-and-sour pork without the sour. I dipped it in soy sauce because I loved the sweet and salty combo together. The dumplings were also really good. The wrapper was thin and delicious, but my boyfriend said he wished they had a little more protein filling and less leek. The green beans are always a hit. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again was the black bean sauce noodles. Maybe I just expected a different flavor, but to me they honestly tasted like regular lo mein. I'm also not a huge noodle person in general, so I'd probably skip them next time and order something else instead. Forgot to mention their prices are on point! Definitely recommend to any of the tourists. I think the weight is definitely worth it and I love being able to take home my leftovers and eating them for lunch and dinner the next day.

The place was packed at lunch, which is usually the best sign, but turnover was quick and I was seated faster than expected. The lunch special is a solid value with soup, rice, and an entree included. Started with the hot and sour soup which had good balance and depth without being overly thick or aggressive on the vinegar. The dry fried beef was tasty. Great texture, nicely cooked, layered flavor, and the kind of dish that keeps you reaching back in even after you're full. Service was efficient, food came out quickly, and the whole place has that old school neighborhood energy that makes you understand why it stays busy. Not trying to reinvent anything, just executing the classics well.

WHAT A GEM in SF Chinatown!…read more Hubby secured hard to get reservations and the very next day, I see a friend post her visit on IG Stories. I asked her, "What's good?" Her response... "Everything!" That's all one needs to say. At the entrance, clearly marked are signs reading, "Reservations" and "Walk-ins". Since we had reservations, we waited only a few minutes to get seated at the bar. The bar makes it easy to converse with your partner and to peer over as the fire from the range springs up from the kitchen. Our server brought us some "Free Bites" of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. She was such a pleasant lady with quite the wit that made me laugh between courses. We ordered a full bottle of Negori sake. Note: if you do not finish the sake bottle, they cannot pack it to go for you, so drink up! Obviously, we couldn't order everything on the menu. For our first visit, we definitely wanted their special dish, Fried Squab. It was delicious! The meat was moist and the dipping salt with Sichuan peppercorn paired perfectly! Just don't focus too much on the visual... the head and claws. Hot Mustard Jellyfish Salad ~ I loved the "crunch" of the jellyfish and the hot mustard marinade was just spicy enough to start a slow burn up the nose. Beef Chow Fun Noodles ~ Delicious and so very savory. I was amazed at how flavorful this dish was without being salty. Clay Pot Rice w/Chinese Sausage & Bacon ~ Loved how the entire pot was seasoned nicely. The sauce did not only sit at the top, but penetrated deep down into the rice. XO Escargot w/Milkbread ~ I've only had French Escargot and these are just as good, if not better! Fish Fragrant Eggplant ~ Another savory and very umami dish. Red Bean Shaved Ice ~ Always a refreshing dessert. Dig in for the surprise in the center. We had such a nice, cozy dinner here. Even while at the bar, we never felt for lack of space. They paced the dishes out perfectly, so there was always room to eat and enjoy. Looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu.
