It's always exciting when something new opens in SF. There is one international fast food chain from the Philippines which has been long anticipated for it to open in the city. There was already a location in San Francisco on Howard street but left a few years ago. Somehow it's been over a year and I see no signs of opening up soon at the Market street in SF .This fast food place I am speaking about had won the best fast food fried chicken in the country by USA Today back to back in 2024 and 2025. The first USA location opened in Daly City decades ago. I had to cross the county lines and go to Daly City to enjoy some Jollibees. On a crossing the county borderline stroll into San Mateo County inside Daly City I landed at Serramonte Mall at Jollibees. I remember when this Jolibee location use to be a Vietnamese restaurant selling Pho. I had to try their spaghetti and cheeseburger. The spaghetti was a bit sweet and the sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee spaghetti with bits of sliced hot dogs with fresh noodles. It was a bit saucy and cheesy but it was nostalgically tasty. I then had to try the angus cheese burger. It had a savory taste and I actually like it better than most of the burgers at the current Mc Donald's. I had to also try their purple yam pie also known as Ube . The pie reminded me of the old school McDonald's pie and it had a tasty Ube flavor. Then I had to try their peach mango pie which was a bit sweet.It was worth crossing the San Mateo county border. Waiting for the San Francisco location to open for "Jollibee" so I went to the Serramonte in Daly City and in San Mateo County it's one location of only "three " the original location is in the Philippines by the Manila Bay in the "South China Sea" the spaghetti has slices of hotdogs and the sauce tastes like "Chef Boyardee" Jollibees chicken is finally getting its USA "recognition "it is winning awards and beating the "competition "this includes KFC and and "Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen " and it's all started at its first US location in Daly City at "6955 Mission" read more

Service was pretty fast. Got my order back in a decent amount of time. The inside has a decent amount of seating, but if it's full there's still plenty of seats in the mall's food court area. I actually prefer it in the food court area because it feels less cramped. I haven't been to a Jollibee in forever. Decided to try out the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich and was kind of disappointed because they didn't put enough mayo so overall it tasted really dry. It wasn't until I got midway through the sandwich that the chicken was actually juicy. The chicken was also not anything special flavor wise. Not satisfying to say the least. I placed an order through the app for pickup. I forgot to order the chicken as spicy, so I ended up with original. We also ordered the KBBQ chicken, spaghetti, and the Palabok fiesta. Order was due to be ready at 7:30pm on a busy Friday night. Order was ready at 7:32pm and they sent me a text message letting me know my order would be ready 2 minutes late. When we arrived at the restaurant, we stood outside for a few minutes, then we got in the order pickup line. The staff were efficient and super pleasant. The restaurant was clean and tidy despite the number of customers. The original chicken wasn't as crispy as the spicy chicken I've had from a different location before. It was still tasty. The KBBQ chicken was really good; I liked the sauce. My kiddos love the spaghetti and another of my kiddos said the Palabok fiesta was "okay". I was craving for some fried chicken so I hopped over to Jollibee. I got the 2 pcs chicken joy (spicy) with Palabok (Filipino rice noodles with ground meat and egg). I also got an angus burger since I've never had one and wanted a pineapple in my sandwich. $28.00 with tax. The chicken is always crunchy but really tender inside. The palabok is salty & savory but wished it had shrimp. The burger is okay. It's nothing special or write home about. It's just like any other burger. Service was fast when I went. Why can I say about Jollibee that hasn't been said already. It is crispy, delicious, and wonderfully spiced fried chicken. I guess I could also say that my expectations were sky high and it still met what I wanted fully. I am a white American who loves fried chicken of all kind and can fully state that this fast food fried chicken is better than any other option. Bojangles, KFC, Popeyes, etc. None of them hold a candle to Jollibee. One thing I was thoroughly impressed by was the Jolly Spaghetti. I had heard that some people not used to this type of spaghetti wouldn't like it but I loved it. It was sweet but the pasta had a great taste when combined with every bite. I don't mean this in a negative way but it tasted like a gourmet version of spaghetti-Os with hot dogs in it. I also tried the burger steak which was a good option if you go and don't want chicken or jolly spaghetti...not sure why you would want that but it was good. The mashed potatoes and gravy were divine and you have to get a side of gravy with your chicken to dip the chicken in. It's incredible. Ended the meal with the ube pie and peach mango pie. Ube pie was good but nothing special. Get the peach mango pie. Do not skip the peach mango pie. Perfectly sweet and man that crispy shell is something magical. It was me and my sisters' first time trying Jollibee. We ordered a bunch of items online to be able to try different things. I noticed the tenders came with a sauce so I tried to order and pay for maybe 1 or 2 extra but I couldn't find the option online. When I went to pick up my order, I asked the gentleman if we could get an extra sauce as it was our first time and we wanted extra sauce to be able to try it with all the food we got especially since the sauce they provide is in a small container. I even mentioned I didn't mind paying for it. First thing I thought was crazy was that he had to go and ask his manager if it was okay to give me an extra sauce. When the gentleman came back he told me that his manager had said no. It's insane to me how an establishment can be so stingy even when a customer is trying to pay for something. Ahhhhh. How I love fried chicken! Went to the mall the other day with the hubs and saw they had a deal on fried chicken. Ten pieces and 3 pies! It doesn't get much better than that! Went there the next day with my SIL and did we feast! The counter person was nice and told us for an extra dollar we could get 3 sides instead of the pies. Tempting to get for mac and cheese but I have to say, I LOVE those pies. But I'll get to that later. The restaurant is decently sized in the food court so you can eat in the restaurant where there are a few tables or take your food to go to eat at the food court. If you want it quieter and less hectic, eat inside. If you don't mind the hustle and bustle, eat outside. The chicken was a bit small but not as tiny as some other fast food place which shall remain nameless...love the crunch of the skin and was happily surprised to see mainly thighs and drums cuz I hate it when they put in dry backs and whatnot. I am not a gravy dunker even though they give you 2 containers but I do put honey on my chicken and they were generous with the honey when I asked. The chicken was crisp and moist which is already and 8/10 for me. The flavoring of the skin was okay, nothing special but that's okay since I put honey on my chicken. Why the 4 stars? Cuz the pies put them over the top. They used to fry them better where they were crisp like the good old days of Mickey D's apple pies. Now it's partly crisp and partly baked. The mango and peach combo can't be beat and that makes the trip to get fried chicken from them worth it. The only minor setback was that it seems no one wipes down the tables. Jollibee is a Filipino fried chicken chain but from the fried chicken perspective you probably won't be able to tell it's Filipino except the they offer chicken with gravy. It's usually really good fried chicken that's crispy and I do like the dark meat. However this time I'm reviewing the new chicken tenders. I had cravings for Raising Cane's but the new one closeby is not opened yet so I decided to try the new tenders offered by Jollibee. I think the tenders are delicious and very tender inside but I do wish they offer better sauces such as the ones offered by Chick-fil-A or Raising Cane's. So my tip is to bring your own sauce (leftover from Chick-fil-A r Raising Cane's). In general I'd recommend the regular legs/thighs but the tenders are not bad. The place itself is in the mall food court so it's usually crowded and the in-store seating is extremely limited and the food court itself can be crowded too. The line can be long but they move fast and the orders are distributed fairly efficiently. The parking for the place is also difficult to find but you'll eventually find a spot because it's a mall albeit you might have to find further away. read more

The Chicken was indeed crispy and juicy, just like it said on the lid. I loved that they were piping hot when they came out, even after 10 min drive home, the chicken was still hot and crispy. The pies were delicious with ice cream or fresh cream. Overall, this was a satisfying lunch and well deserving of being the best in the nation. Staff were quick and efficient. Delicious and comforting! Jollibee never misses unless they run out of spicy chicken. Our group of three ordered the 10 piece chicken combo with three sides and an additional side of jolly spaghetti to which we demolished. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and not overly oily which was perfect. Each bite was crunchy and we loved dipping our chicken into the gravy. We went with the fries, mashed potatoes, and the adobo rice as our sides. The mash was pretty standard creamy and smooth while the fries were a surprise highlight. They were thin and crispy but not fried into an inch of their lives to where we could still taste potato. And the adobo rice always pairs perfect with the chicken. While we throughly enjoyed our meal we wished we didn't have to ask for napkins and ketchup every time as they were behind the counter. Dining in was pleasant as the tables and seats were clean. This jollibee was very corrupt on the quencher drinks. It's January and it's really cold outside so I ordered a guava quencher no ice but they only gave me half a cup. And we had to pay extra for this option and they were so cheap on filling up my cup. The manager Elizabeth said she cannot do anything about this and will not do anything about it. I do not recommend spending any money on any upgraded drinks. I'll stick with the top of the hill Daly City location and concord location. Pro tip make sure you dip the chicken in the gravy, its fire. This location is in the food court of the mall, it has a small seating area but the service is fast and friendly like every jollibee ive been to. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, the flavor average but pair it with the gravy and its amazing. Their chicken sandwich surprised by how big the patty was and how juicy it was. When we were waiting to order, we were held up by unruly customers who did not know what they were going to order. We, as well as other customers, waited for over 10 minutes, watching the party at the cashier fumble around with the payment method and call their parents to figure out how to conjure up enough money for their meal. When the staff saw this, they opened another register promptly to help service the other customers. Ambiance: There really isn't much to expect from a fast-food joint, and you run into the issues that you'd expect to. The party that could not pay for their food also left trash all over different tables that they were considering to sit down at. We had to throw away a Panda Express to-go box they left on the booth seat we decided to sit at. That said, can't hold this against Jollibee, that's just how fast food joints are. Jolibee's Spicy Joy Fried Chicken, is hands down the best fast food fried chicken on the market. Yes, better than the big brands most fried chicken fans, know and love, and it's not even close. The crispy skin, greasy chicken, if you never had it, you are truly missing out. No lie, I've had fried chicken at fancy restaurants, and the spicy joy fried chicken satisfies me at a quarter of the price. Not to mention the hot gravy to dip the chicken in and poured all over some white rice, it's comfort food at its best. A couple years ago, I went to another jolibee and they told me they discontinued the spicy joy fried chicken, and I was distraught. Fast forward to the present, and they've added it back but it's only available if you buy a 6pc or 12pc bucket, so naturally, I went with a bucket bc honestly, IMO, there's nothing else worth getting.
