Stumbled onto this place on National French Fry Day when they were running a deal on $5 regular fries and honestly what a great excuse to try somewhere new. I went with the chili BBQ curly fries and the cheddar original fries and both were really good. The flavor and vibe reminded me a lot of Potato Corner, which is a compliment. Service was quick and the staff was friendly which always makes a difference. Simple, fun and delicious. Would definitely come back even without the deal!
I got excited about this place because I'm all about Potato Corner and I was hoping this would be amazing. TJeff greeted me and thanked me for waiting because it was a Sunday afternoon and they were crazy busy. I thought that was stand up for him to recognize the wait. I asked for whatever tasted like bbq powder on my chicken wings and the sour cream and onion on the fries. Jeff looked suprised. "We're never put the flavor on the fries," and he looked excited as he explained the order to the people assembling the food. They were a little slow because they were training a. guy, which I had no problem with. Sometimes people gotta train. Jeff called my order out and was so helpful and friendly. What a great guy! He handled everything so well when it would've been easy to get upset about the wait, so great customer service. The food was meh. I think it's the powders they use for flavor. I would have preferred to get real bbq flavor, but they gave me something close to that since they didn't have it. And the sour cream and onion flavor was low on the non flavor. It couldn't been better, so I hope the next time I visit the food will be better.
Finally they have something similar like Potato Corner since they been saying they will open one in Stonestown. It's almost exactly the same, just slightly different with the seasonings Potato Corner has, but it will do because it's the same concept. I got the chili bbq with tater tots and it's so good. The service was amazing too. You have any questions about the food, they will answer. It's located on the second floor near Sephora. l definitely come back for more.
My girlfriend is a huge Potato Corner fan, but it's such a pain going all the way to SJ for it so she was really excited to try this spot in Stonestown. She liked them, which is what matters lol but I've never been a huge fan of Potato Corner or powder-flavored fries as much as she is. These are a good replacement for Potato Corner until the Serramonte one opens (if it ever does).
Where's Los Kuyas? Replaced by Potato Meets Wing! Just gotta love deep fried potato snacks that's better than potato chips. Those thin pieces of potato are like tostadas that fell parts of the pieces off the moment you sink your teeth in. For starters, I chose the Meet Flavored Fries. I'll have a fried wings combo later. I once tried French fries, curly fries, and waffle fries. So for the best bite size treat, tater tots. Looked and golden crispy goodness of hash browns, I could probably pop two to three in my mouth. So fresh and crunchy with salt and pepper! No numbing Szechuan spice for me please. Oh how I trained my teeth to masticate the golden crispy goodness without a dipping ketchup! I was glad that up to two workers had deep fried my tater tots in 5-10 minutes. I'll be back in the food court for more potato crunchiness; this time, with wings. Perhaps my daughter would love Potato Meets Wing when we have the chance to dine together.
Good crispy wings and fries made to order. Little bit pricy for a 3 wing plate but they were larger wings. Workers are nice and attentive and they're very conveniently placed in the mall. Maybe 3-5 stars depending what you order but the honey wings were good albeit very messy. Bring some wet wipes if if you're eating in the food court.

Hubs and I in search of a snack - can never go wrong with fries and wings. First time, we ordered the Classic - salt and pepper wings and fries. Order took about 10 minutes to be ready. Large portion of fries and decent sized wings. I liked the flavors of the salt and pepper. Wings were hot and crispy. Only complaint - fries were warm and not as crispy. In any case, I liked it enough to return later in the week to give them another try. This time, went with the salt and pepper wings and cheddar fries. Quite a few orders placed before me so order took about 15 minutes. I watched as both the fries and wings came out of the fryer. She seasoned the fries first and placed in the to go box; wings right after and then handed the box to me. I went straight for the fries - crispy but still not as hot as the wings. Not sure if the seasoning and tossing cools them down. Anyhow, the cheddar flavor was good too. More than enough for 2 to share.
Stonestown gets another W with this new fries spot!! We no longer have to hold our breaths waiting for Potato corner to open up at Serramonte. This place more than makes up for it. I love that they offer different cuts of potatoes ranging from original fries to tater tots. The seasoning is on point cheddar being my favorite. Pleasantly surprised also with the amount of food you get(hoping it stays that way) for such a decent price! At the time of this review, it's currently $9.99 for a large order. The large order for instance is more than enough for myself, the wifey and my 2 kiddos! The staff is a breath of fresh air as well as they are so friendly and attentive. Wishing them great success and this has now become one of my family's must go to places when shopping at Stonestown.

Later, I learned it's actually a small, locally-owned business which prompted a visit. In-person orders. Hope they launch online ordering in the future. Massive portion of McD-like fries, thin and crispy. Lightly seasoned. It seems we received a mix of batches, as some were hot while others were lukewarm. S E R V I C E Friendly owner. Wings are cooked-to-order, quoted 20 minutes and they were ready by then. Overall, Potato Meets Wing is a solid spot for a snack/meal before or after doing some damage at Stonestown. Excellent service Jeffrey was the cashier when I went I got the Saigon flavor wings and chilli bbq fries I wished it was more crispy on both the wings and the fries but if you eat it immediately then it should be crispy
Everything you read is correct; SALTY! Want some over hyped wings and salty fries come here. Yes, they opened 3/16 but they are still disorganized with waiting times to cook the wings and fries. Still came out meh and not piping hot because it sits on the metal tray in back before they scoop it. Not sure how long this place will last since there's better food than this in this mall.
So happy a French fry place finally opened at Stonestown! It's the perfect place to get a snack for hanging out or going to the movies. They have fries, tater tots, potato chips, curly fries, waffle fries and chicken wings! They also have 6 different flavors and they make the seasoning themselves. Sour cream & onion is my go-to flavor so I got a regular fries with sour cream & onion seasoning! The staff were very friendly and nice, the fries came out quickly as well. They were hot and not oily. They also ask if you want ketchup, it's in a container which is perfect for dipping. I wish there was a little more seasoning but I still enjoyed them. I'll definitely be stopping by anytime I'm at Stonestown to watch a movie!
Stonestown is more of a food scene nowadays, and I'm all for it. There are few food/drink spots that I like every time I stop by, such as Marugame Udon, Matcha Cafe Maiko, Mochill, Supreme Dumplings. We stumbled upon this spot since we were looking for something to have for lunch. Not sure what the previous business was here before. There wasn't a line Who doesn't like wings and French Fries, so we ordered the Potato Meets Wing Combo (10 wings + fries + 2 dips). For the wings, we chose the Saigon Chili and Snow Cheese flavors, and mala, chili bbq, and cheddar for the fries. No complaints on any of the flavors because it's seasoned so well! The fries and wings were also nice and crispy. Also, the flavor of the ranch was very unique and had a bit of a sweetness to it, which I enjoyed a lot. Another spot that I can add to my list. I'm so glad I was able to stop by. I can't wait to come back next time. Shout out to the employee who took our order was very sweet and explained to us the different flavors. read more
While I never root for places to close, I can't say I was crushed when we walked through the Stonestown food court and discovered that Los Kuyas had closed. Despite how I enjoyed my visit to their spot in Spark Social, I can't say I felt the same about the one here at the mall. Even if I had felt a little sad, though, it definitely would've been wiped away by the sight of Potato Meets Wing. In part because it was nice to see the space filled so quickly, but really, who wouldn't get excited by a place that specializes in chicken wings and fries?? Given their name, it's not all that difficult to guess what Potato Meets Wing's menu consists of. However, it'd be wrong to assume that it's basic or simple, as they actually have a fair amount to offer. On the potato side, you first decide what size you want, then the cut (Original, Chips, Tots, Curly Fries, and Waffle Fries) and the type of seasoning, if any (Salt & Pepper, Chili BBQ, Cheddar, Mala, Sour Cream & Onion, and Ketchup). As for the wings, it comes in three different portion sizes and five flavors - Hot Honey, Snow Cheese, Salt & Pepper, Lemon Pepper, and Saigon Chili. If you're looking to try both, they also have a few combinations as well, which also includes dipping sauces. -- BASIC COMBO with Mala Seasoned Tots (+$.50) and Saigon Chili Wings (3pcs) First and foremost, I thought the tots were awesome - crispy and piping hot with a nice kick. As for the wings, I LOVE how big and juicy they were, but they lost some crispiness to the sauce, which tasted super heavy on fish sauce and not a whole lot like chili. -- 6 PCS CHICKEN WINGS - Half Lemon Pepper and Half Hot Honey The wings were just as big and tastier than the Saigon Chili, but the Hot Honey was better - it didn't have much heat to it, but I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. As for the Lemon Pepper, it was really crispy, but it felt overseasoned, as the lemon salt overwhelmed my tastebuds. Even though the food didn't blow us away, the service certainly did. In In particular, the girl who was working the register was awesome - she was super helpful with our questions and even offered to help arrange the trays in our takeout bag so that nothing would get messy. Plus, she also made sure to remind us about the dipping sauce we forgot to choose, which she easily could've overlooked or forgotten about. I just wish I had caught her name to give her a proper shoutout! Considering how different it is from just about every other eatery in the mall, let alone the food court, Potato Meets Wing is pretty decent, even if it wasn't as amazing as I had hoped it would be. At the very least, it's a great option if you're looking for something shareable or to snack on (or just some fried food) and their portions are actually quite generous, as even their basic combo is more than enough for two people. At some point, I imagine I'll try Potato Meets Wing again, but when I do, I'll probably get the wings naked and enjoy it with a dipping sauce rather than getting them seasoned/sauced. For now, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down. read more
This has become our favorite place for chicken wings and fries. You can request all flats for a small fee, which is what we did and with the snow cheese powder, it was finger licking good. The wings are pretty big and meaty compared to other places and once you get into the fries, they are addictive. The food here is always consistently delicious. Great for a quick take out and the fries are so flavorful that it always dissappears before we get home. read more

Walking inside Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco you find so many new places popping up. Some of these places are fine dining inside the mall and most are more casual dining . Some places have been in Stonestown for decades like Sees Candies. Then there are clothing places like DSW and the Salt Tree. Then there are stores for fandoms like Lids ( hats off) and PopMart. Then there are some places which had a limited run. There is a new place which serves chicken wings with sauces and salty fries like some in SF. It's located on the second floor inside Stonestown and it's called Potato meet Wings. On a Stonestown stroll looking to connect with Los Kuyas and I landed at the second floor I did not see Los Kuyas . There was no sign of the Super Nachos which were so cheesy like some in SF. What replaced Los Kuyas was Potato meets Wings. I saw the menu at Potato meets Wings which looked interesting . They have flavored chicken wings like snow cheese and salt and pepper like some in SF. I was thinking of getting the lemon pepper flavor wings which seem sour like some I saw online. So I decided to get something sweet so I got the Hot Honey chicken wings. It was tasty and not too sweet. Then I got the snow cheese wings which had a savory and drier Parmesan cheese texture . Last but not least the Saigon Chili. It had a tangy taste but not overwhelming and it was delicious .They also came with salty tater tots, waffle fries and regular fries in sour cream seasoning which were sour and salty like some in SF. I think the tater tots were my favorite of the bunch. Then there was an unsolved mystery. What came first the potato or the wings and how they meet ? ( Questions in my mind). Los Kuyas disappeared and came to a "halt" Potato meets Wings is the new "default" by the Stonestown food court which is a good "new alt" if you like wings and fries that are seasoned in flavored "salt" What happen to Los Kuyas now that they are "gone "this Potato meets Wings is a good replacement for the cool "Don Juan" I decided to get the hot honey chicken wings along the one with chili called the "Saigon" although there is only sun and rain in SF next time I will retry the snow cheese wings with the grated " Parmesan " read more
I was excited to try this place, and they did not disappoint! The lady was nice that served us. She asked if we wanted to get our food split since she knew we were sharing and I'm glad we said yes, look at all those fries we got!! That's one order!! We got lemon pepper and cheese snow wings. The cheese snow one was bland after eating the very lemon forward wings. I do like they are big juicy wings. We got cheese and sour cream and onion fries. They were both good and different. It's enough to share and bring home, too many fries. read more
Got the mala curly fries. Fries were well made and the extra curly bits were perfectly crisp and fluffy. The mala seasoning was slightly tingly but pretty salty. The girls serving at the counter were friendly. Plenty of seating on the second floor to eat as well. Pretty good addition to the mall. read more

saw that it was open today so we stopped by and got a large order of fries today with cheddar and sour cream - the fries were super crispy and fresh! Location seems clean so far. Unfortunately the seasoning felt lacking - not sure if it's because they're new but it felt like they were a little stingy with the flavor powder. The cheddar fries were probably seasoned like 6/10 and the sour cream fries were more like 3/10. Hopefully they get this more consistent as time goes on - they could attract the customers that Potato Corner keeps baiting at the supposed serramonte location! read more
The mall not only has seasoned fries now but also seasoned chicken! I thought the portions were pretty generous and definitely shareable (I got the classic combo). Everything was seasoned pretty well and the chicken was decently cooked. Their menu offers a variety of flavors with some more potential ones in the future. Food took a few minutes to be ready, I think since they are frying everything right there and then seasoning to order. Service was very friendly otherwise. Seating is available based on mall seating. Everything looked pretty clean. read more
Yay I'm glad they opened up a spot at Stonestown for some chicken wings. The best part is that the wings are big and juicy! The lemon pepper was my fave! They also gave so many fries which it's nice you can select three flavors. The employee Jeff was really friendly and the wait wasn't too long. I would definitely come back for more wings. read more
Stopped by here this past Saturday and gave them a try. We got a classic combo with 6 Saigon wings and sour cream & o ion tater tots and another classic combo with 6 hot honey wings and mama waffle fries. The person working that day was very nice and helpful. For our sauces we got ranch, honey mustard, and wing sauce. It took about 15 minutes for them to have our food ready. They give you so much fries here! It is easily shareable! Now onto the review... The wings were fat! They were fat in a good way as it was all meat and not hella fat and fatty skin. The Saigon wings were decent but took away the crispness from the chicken. The tater tots were good, but could use more of the dry seasoning. The hot honey wings also needed more seasoning but did have a good flavor and a very good crunch to their batter. The waffle fries were solid, but as all of the other items I mentioned it can also use more seasoning. The mala seasoning had a lil heat, but had more of a bbq taste. That measurement needs to be switched around and make it hotter if it's gonna be called mala. All in all, not bad at all and will be back to try some other flavors. read more

Got my usual Sour cream and onion fries today. Ive been coming here at least once a week and its my first time to have this quality. The flavoring is so little to almost nothing. Very disappointed. I didnt noticed it cause I have it inside a bag. I dont know if I ever be coming back. What a waste read more

Chicken Meets Wing is a solid hidden gem inside Stonestown Galleria. It's a small stall, but the menu punches way above its weight if you're into fried chicken and loaded fries. What stands out most is the variety. You can mix and match flavors like hot honey and snow cheese, and it feels like there are endless combinations depending on how you pair sauces and sides. We ended up getting a mix of both dry and wet seasonings, which made it even more fun to try different flavor profiles in one meal. The chicken itself is really well done. The crunch level is excellent, with a light, crispy batter that leans Korean fried chicken but also has a karaage-like texture. It stays crispy while still being juicy inside, not dry at all. The sauces coat nicely instead of just sitting on top, though I do think the seasoning could be pushed a bit further to make the flavors more intense. Portion size is another standout. We got a ginormous box of fries that was honestly an eye-popping moment when it came out. It hits you with a full sensory overload between the smell, the heat, and just how much food you get. Service was quick too. About a 10-minute wait for a pretty massive amount of food, which felt very reasonable. We paid around $20 for a combo, which felt like great value considering how much food we got. I ordered a pile of fries and was told to pick three flavors of my choosing. I picked two and asked for my third on the side. They told me that's an extra 50 cents. Why did I buy the one with three flavors if I have to pay even more for my third. There's no sign that says I can't have it on the side. I just thought this was ridiculous. read more

I got the 2 flavor option of French fries: chili bbq and cheddar. Reminds me a lot of Potato Corner that was suppose to open where Palmetto is. Jeffrey was very friendly and 100% would order again. Roughly $10, still worth it !! read more

The girl working the counter was so nice even though I came in five minutes before closing I ordered four wings and she gave me five. there was a special promotion where it was one dollar a wing and the wings are ginormous. Also, the fries are very good. the mala is just the right amount of spicy. read more

Honestly so glad that there is a new food place that is easily accessible for workers to eat as a snack or lunch. Shout out to Jeff for his amazing service and providing a great attitude while I was waiting for my order which didn't take long either! This place was so goodthat I had to create a Yelp page just to leave the very first review! They had their soft opening today, and honestly this spot has so much potential. Of course there are a few small things they'll probably smooth out as they get settled in, but for a first day the service was amazing. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner super sweet guy. He was very hands-on with every customer while also supporting his staff, making sure everything ran smoothly. It was really nice to see an owner so involved and genuinely welcoming. The menu has a huge variety of wing flavors and fries.For the fries alone they had regular, waffle fries, tater tots, potato chips, and curly fries. I tried the sour cream & onion fries and the cheddar cheese fries, and both were delicious. I also got the lemon pepper wings the wings are HUGE and the fry portions are just as big. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. I'm honestly a little sad because I know this place is about to blow up, and pretty soon there's going to be a long line. But trust me, it'll be worth the wait every time Shoutout to the owner for the hospitality! If y'all see this review, tell him Coco sent you. read more

We got the regular fries with two seasonings, the mala numbing spice and cheddar cheese, and they were really good! The mala numbing spice seasoning in particular stood out -- it had a nice kick to it but it wasn't too spicy so highly recommend that. The fries came out super fresh and the portions were huge so we definitely felt like we were getting our money's worth. The consistency of the regular fries reminded me of McDonald's iconic fries but with the addition of unique seasonings. The owner Jeff was also a really cool guy. I've gone to Stonestown my entire life and I'm so glad to see another great restaurant here ran by great people for all to enjoy. I'll definitely be back! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect running into Potato Meets Wing, but wow this spot is doing something special. They make their own seasoning in-house, and it shows. The wings were fried just right so the skin is crispy but the meat stays tender and moist. The real standout, though, is the Asian fusion spin on the flavors. Every option felt thoughtful and different, and I appreciated the creativity. Definitely coming back to try more when their new flavors land! read more
