    Potato Cheese

A good place for a Korean style "corn-dog"! Inside there is plenty of space, and seating. The first thing I ordered was the potato dog with honey mustard on the side. And man did it hit for a mid-day snack. I also got the Sparkly Yuzu Lemonade which was very refreshing. You just need to mix the yuzu honey well as it settles on the bottom. The day after next I wanted to try the sweet potato cheese. It was good. But not as good as the regular potato. Staff is very friendly! Would come again if I'm every craving anything fried and cheesy lol

Cute shop with made to order batter covered hot dogs. Batter is not the traditional corn dog style so less to my liking, too chewy. Indoor seating. Although if it's nice out, cross the street to the nearby park.

Bigger than their first store, this new location has about 4 tables and a bar area with chairs. It's close to McCoppin Square so nice to go on a sunny day and eat in the park. The corn dogs take about 15 minutes to prep and the sauces they offer are honey mustard, nacho, ranch, wasabi mayo, sweet chili, and ketchup/mustard packs. I love spicy so I really liked their flaming corndog. It was actually pretty hot, I'd recommend this one only if you can really handle spicy. There is a large selection of different milk teas and lemonade.

I wanted a hot dog and we ended up at stix. Not exactly what i was craving but it hit the spot. We got 2 combo (hot dog and cheese) one with ramen, the other with corn flakes, and a lemonade. Overall pretty good.

Who doesn't love a good Korean dog with cheese pull?? Before Stix, I remember driving all the way to San Jose for Korean dogs.. Thankfully those days are behind us :) My boyfriend and I both ordered the combo dog filling (half mozzarella cheese and half all beef hot dog). I ordered the Sweet Potato combo and he ordered the Potato combo. We also decided to add sugar on the side so we can adjust how sweet we wanted the hotdogs to be. The flavors of the hotdogs were pretty good but I feel like the batter of the potato one was a bit too thicc - I think we'll opt for the regular Combodog in future visits. We also opted for the Spicy Mayo and ketchup sauces to add more flavor. Ordering with the Self Checkout screen was pretty user friendly. There were a number of tables to sit at and the place was overall clean. Parking was also relatively easy since this place was located in a residential area in SF. Will definitely be back for a Mozzarella Cheese dog and attempt to achieve the perfect cheese pull :)

    Hot cheeto corn Flamin' Hotdog

It was so soggy and greasy. I could not enjoy it at all. I thought it was bc I left it steaming in the box but I teared it open to eat the hot dog at least..dough was not cooked.:(

The best Korean dogs I've ever had! Highly suggest the potato combo dog. No frills, no fuss - just great service to pop into and take your dog to-go.

Spicy Soy Garlic Korean Chicken Wings

Got the KFC~ there's 5 in a order. Not huge portion but crispy wings. I got the spicy soy garlic flavor but it's not spicy at all. Might try the original flavor next time so it's crispier (no sauce).

Made a stop here since I was in the neighborhood. My partner got the hot Cheeto crusted corn dog and I got the potato dog with sugar. We loved both!! Super satisfying and filling. The cheese pull was to die for. We've been wanting to come here since trying Korean corn dogs in Vancouver and LA. I have to say, I liked these ones just as much, or even better! Downsides are that there's no seating and there can be a bit of a wait.

Solid place for Korean corn dogs with excellent service. Nice decor and seating, plenty of parking, mobile ordering available. Go for the cheese dog or combo!

Date: Sunday, June 4th, 2023 What: Dinner Delivery Time Ordered: around 6pm Time Delivered: around 6:45pm How: DoorDash Delivery To: Outer Richmond *Potato COMBO: Made with all beef hotdog AND mozzarella cheese crusted with french fries exterior *Sauce will be on the side*, No Sugar ($9) *Combodog: Made with half all beef hotdog AND half mozzarella cheese, rolled in panko bread crumbs, No Sugar ($8.10) *Ramen Combo: Mozzarella Cheese & Hotdog on the inside , ramen crusted exterior, No Sugar ($8.05) *Spicy Mayo: Side of our house made spicy mayo ($0.85) *Nacho Cheese: Side of Nacho Cheese ($1) *Wasabi Mayo: Side of our house made wasabi mayo ($0.75) The hubby and I have been watching a Korean Variety / Reality Show that features cooking. One of the items constantly showcased are Korean Hot / Corn Dogs. And of course, since I'm am very prone to suggestion, I wanted one! Looking around, I could only find Stix as a place for delivery, so I decided to try them out. My favorite was the basic combo dog. It was nicely fried and for a delivery dog, the cheese was still a little melty / stringy. Worse was the ramen dog. The ramen tasted stale. As if you opened a package of ramen and let it sit for a while. I think the hubby liked the potato dog. Tho he did mention it was a little salty. For me, it was too much breading / coating. I thought it overpowered the meat and cheese. Other than the nacho cheese sauce, I'd skip the spicy mayo and wasabi mayo. Not much flavor. I actually preferred the dogs with plain old yellow mustard the most which I had at home. There aren't many Korean hotdog spots around, so glad Stix exists. Note: I'm not sure why there is a note about a sauce on the potato dog. Maybe they used to come with a sauce each? Also, Stix is not part of DashPass, so you have to pay the $3.99 delivery fee.

On a sunny day in San Francisco this is the place to go. This place has refreshing fruit teas and milk teas. There are also delicious snacks like their corndogs. This isn't your ordinary hot dog on a stick and it's not your ordinary cheese stick .This is a hybrid between a corn dog and cheesy mozzarella stick. There are variety of corndogs to choose from, so pick your stix.

Yelp says this is located in Nob Hill but Google maps says outer sunset. Which is it?

Hi! Sorry about that. there was an error with our Yelp page earlier. We're located in Sunset at 1353 Taraval SF. Our address should be fixed now.

    Is your batter gluten free?

Hello, our batter is not gluten-free as we use all-purpose flour in our batter.

Are orders still through online or is in-person ordering available now?

Hi! We are permanently taking orders through our website. However, we do take in-person orders for cash payments.

What type of meat is used?

if you order the corn dog with hot dog (aka combo style), the hot dog will be an all beef hot dog.

    What are your hours?

Hi! our hours are currently 12pm - 5:30pm. We are closed wednesdays

    Are the hotdogs all beef?

    Yes

Are any of the corn dogs gluten free?

No, our batter includes wheat flour

Are they open? Food delivery services list weird hours for them ( like opens Monday at 5am, or Wednesday at 5 pm). Are they only doing online orders or I can come in person?

Yes they are open. Best to come and order in person. They only do take out. Sometimes they will shut off their online and phone because they get swamped with calls and orders.

It was comfortably mellow, which made for a peaceful meal. We shared 4 dishes, starting with the Mulhwe Noodle per the staff's recommendation. This dish was very refreshing. I was a little worried that the chili broth was going to be spicy given the bright color, but it wasn't at all. The broth was light and enjoyable. The amberjack was also very good. Next, we had the Hokkaido Uni Scallop Toast. The bread was soft, buttery, and crispy. The uni and scallop were creamy, fresh, and not overpowering in flavor. The whole thing blended and melted together. The Braised Black Cod was a delight with the variety of textures and flavors. The fish was soft and almost custard-y. The barley and butternut squash puree were nice additions and paired really well. The sauce was delicious. The Galbi Steak was a standout. We added on the lettuce wraps and ssamjang, and I highly recommend this. The galbi was tender and juicy. It was good on its own but adding it in a lettuce wrap with the ssamjang took it to another level. Overall, I had a great dinner. I enjoyed all the flavors.

Granted we were a bit late for our reservation, we ended up having to wait another 30-40 mins. The place (2nd floor) is small & awkward. We were all cramped waiting on the stairway and the actual seating area is also fairly small for a busy KBBQ place/big parties. The 8 of us squeezed into a booth with 2 chairs on the side. You can also feel whenever the table next to us got up and stomped/yelled/moved in their chairs-- which was really often. The basic AYCE menu is fairly limited-- esp for the side options. The marinated meats were pretty good as was the tteokbokki. Side & meat portions were alright, but the kicker is having to flag down staff to make sure they put in the order & bring it out. We asked for japchae about 5 times before it actually reached our table towards the end of our meal. The server/manager also told us that he had accidentally brought out 2 bottles of soju for us and that he'd COMP 1 bottle. We didnt notice that he had actually charged us for 2 and comped/subtracted a "third" one. So none were really comped at all. I just realized after we paid and that felt really sketchy. Idk if it's worth coming back here.
