    Wow! Great deal lunch!
    Priscilla L.

I finally tried this place as I always been admiring the food photos posted on the windows and wow, they are good. I tried their special and great flavors of the pineapple sausage with spicy garlic butter sauce, cabbage and rice . I licked the plate clean! . From their regular menu, You can get half or full orders depending how hungry you are. I look forward to try their other dishes which also sounded nice. Little Aloha is a takeout-only kitchen offering their spin of Hawaii dishes like shave ice, loco moco, and garlic shrimp rice plates. They also have pre-packaged Hawaiian treats on their small shelf. They are a gluten free kitchen which is nice how they are upfront about it and also their website has an allergen guide. It was yummy in my tummy! And I would love to come back for great food.

This little grab and go place on Taraval street serves Hawaiian food, mainly protein on cooked cabbage leaves alongside a heap of rice. Order at the kiosk or counter at this brightly lit spot and within about 10 minutes, you can pick up your order. We ordered half and full orders of sausage, fried chicken and shrimp. Prices are reasonable for a quick warm meal.

So happy I finally tried Little Aloha! The flavors were delicious. I tried the tofu poke and the garlic shrimp and both were ono! The shrimp were perfectly crispy and the garlic butter sauce stuck to it well without making it soggy. Also you can't beat these prices. Such a perfect place for lunch. I'll be coming back! Big Mahalo!!

We ordered the furikake chicken, the shrimp combo plate, and the spicy tots, and sadly we didn't really enjoy any of it. Nothing tasted terrible, but the chicken wasn't very good, and the shrimp had very little flavor once peeled. The pineapple sausage and tater tots were pretty straightforward and mostly just tasted like they had spicy mayo on them, so nothing felt especially memorable. They were also out of Spam musubi, and the menu options were pretty limited. It's a very small place with no real seating besides a few chairs outside and no tables, but the girl who took our order was nice.

Food is fresh and tasty and the service is friendly and prompt. It's a takeaway spot so you either need to find seating on Taraval or go to one of the many nearby parks if you're hoping to eat your food right away!

Quick and easy meal! Live super close and always stop by to see if they have spam musubi (but for some reason they are ALWAYS sold out??) - maybe I have to come right when they open ‍ Since they were out of the spam musubi decided to get the furikake chicken plate (half) and it was delicious! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. YUM! Will definitely be going back again for the chicken (and to see if I can finally get some musubi)

Scrumptious food, large portions, and fast service. Tried their garlic and sausage shrimp dish. Food came out freshly made and hot. Heavy and delicious spice on each bite of shrimp. Came with a large serving of rice. Partner got the tofu. He enjoyed it a lot. I did try a piece and prefer my tofu to be more solid. The tofu was very soft and melted in my mouth. Had good flavor but again I like it extra firm. Also got a Hawaiian shaved ice with was phenomenal. Brought me back to my time in Maui enjoying a sweet treat. I'll def be back for more ice!

Finally found a place in the city that isn't part of a huge Hawaiian BBQ chain and actually serves really good food. Little Aloha feels like a modern mom-and-pop shop with heart. They even have a self-ordering kiosk tucked in the corner which is super convenient when it gets busy. I was excited to see they offer shaved ice and their prices are very fair, especially if you want to sample a bit of everything from their main entrees. I loved both the loco moco and the furikake chicken. The portions were generous and I really appreciated that they give you a side of lightly seasoned cabbage mixed in instead of the usual macaroni salad. That said, I won't lie because I do miss the mac salad and kind of wish they made it too. This is mainly a takeout spot since there are no tables inside, but there's a bench out front and a nice park just half a block away. I definitely recommend parking near the park so you can avoid the hassle of metered street parking. It's free there and makes the whole pickup process easier. The staff inside are super friendly and the energy they give off really matches the food. The chicken was fresh with a perfectly crunchy coating and the poached egg under the meat patty in the loco moco was done beautifully. It mixed into the rice so well. Speaking of rice, theirs was cooked perfectly! You could taste each individual grain and it had that just-right texture, not hard or mushy. I'm really happy I found this place. It's the kind of spot that you can tell is run with a lot of care and passion. Everything from the food to the way they treat their customers just feels warm and welcoming. It reminds me of the type of places I used to go to when I was younger. Simple and no-frills, but full of flavor and heart. I'll definitely be coming back again and again, whether I'm craving a quick meal, need a taste of comfort, or just want to support a local business doing things right. If you haven't tried it yet, you're seriously missing out.

Great little to-go Hawaiian spot! Ordered the furikake chicken from the menu and it was a nice one-person portion with a side of cabbage. I loved that they had this on the menu - the chicken was juicy popcorn chicken with a light teriyaki / nori sweetness. They also sold lots of authentic Hawaiian snacks that you don't often find on the mainland. Highly rec!

Are any of the syrups homemade or natural?

Hi Aaron, our shave ice syrups are crafted using pure cane sugar and a blend of both high-quality natural and artificial ingredients.

    Is there indoor seating?

No, not at all!! It's strictly an order to go place; hardly room for several people to be in the shop at once.

Delicious, and this place blew my mind when I tried it out…read more First off, very surprised at all the flavors you can get and try, including horchata, Thai tea, and ube! To be honest, when I came here, I did not expect much. I typically am not the type to get snow or anything icy, since it is not the first thing that comes to my mind when it comes to dessert, but I am so glad I got to experience this. When I came on a Wednesday night, it was not too busy, and my friend and I were able to get our food within 10 minutes. The spot itself is pretty small, with not a lot of seating, but some limited spots outside. I got the black sesame with condensed milk, and my friend got the mexican hot chocolate. What makes this place stand out so much is the texture of the dessert, which was fluffy, soft, and melted in your mouth. Overall, I want to come here again and try the other flavors!

I loved this so much, it had such a fantastic texture of being creamy but also light and fluffy. Probably one of the best shaved snow texture I've had. Tried some of the matcha snow and earl grey snow as well, and both of them were solid too. My favorite was still the cereal snow because I have more of a sweet tooth and the matcha and earl grey were less sweet. I would absolutely return to try more snow flavors! Service was really friendly and our 3 bowls were ready within a few minutes. Only one small bench inside and some outdoor seating.

The menu was quite extensive and showed illustrations of the food. We ordered the following: Fried Egg Pudding $10.95 - It came piping hot and crunchy on the outside. This seemed more like a dessert, especially when it was accompanied by a plate of condensed milk dipping sauce. Baked Ox Tongue with curry cheese $17.95 - This had 4 -5 pieces of very tender tongue. However, it was overwhelmed with cheese and not enough of the curry sauce. Baked Fish Fillet with Cheese Cream sauce $15.95 - This was delicious. The fish was fried in one piece and then covered with corn, mushrooms and cheese sauce. Baked Pork Chop with Tomato sauce $15.95 - The tomato sauce really complemented the baked pork chop which was topped with melted cheddar cheese. This was decent and as expected. LOL i only recommend this as ur favorite fruit-dessert-based guy. the 'shaved ice' is NOT icy-like/ crunchy texture at all. the texture/ mouth-feel more so like a condensed milk-drenched-soft slush, which is EXACTLY what i personally want from the bingsu/shaved ice. the mango puree is not as artificial and the mango fruit is great. i do not care for the sticky rice but is fine regardless. -wait time from ordering to getting the items is reasonable. i recall things coming out fast, as they want people in and out, so i appreciate that. the double edge sword also is them checking up on us so frequently that i can immediately pay and get the heck out too. -OFC THEYRE STAY OPEN LATE. DUH. my only saving grace for dessert places since sf just is ded at night, i appreciate the late-night dessert vibes. im intrigued to come back another time to try their FOOD FOOD/savories but for now, they're always just a dessert place for me. PS. if they can bring back the jar of condensed milk that was on each table? i'd so grateful for and appreciate them. (though i know it won't happen cus money, but a girl can dream :')) )
