Very disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and made us feel uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. The attitude felt condescending, with annoyed facial expressions and a general lack of basic courtesy. What is especially frustrating is the double standard. They clearly expect generous tips from customers, yet as someone who has worked in delivery, I have personally experienced that they consistently leave zero tips themselves. It's disappointing to see such lack of respect toward others in the service industry. Customer service should be welcoming and professional. Unfortunately, this place does not reflect those values. SOLID go-to late night dessert spot in the richmond district! It can get crowded as there are only ~8 tables but I've never felt rushed and service is always super friendly. Hey munchkins how's it going? One of my closest friends is moving away and we're going to NaYa as a send off. We're a bit full from dinner so we wind up splitting on dessert. Today was a really sunny day so he was really hungry and when he went to the sushi place he ate a lot of food but the key point is he saved room for Naya. The chocolate toasted consists of toast that's chocolate and it tasted pretty good. One of our other friends with the constitution of a champ gets a salted egg custard and he can't articulate why because English is his second language but the wide smile he cracked transcends normal verbiage. One of the few spots in San Francisco for late night dessert. I've been here a few times, and traffic has picked up since they first opened. Interior is a little tight, with small tables seating mostly a max of four people (with an elbows touching setup). Service is dependent on the crowd. It can get pretty slow when the place is entirely full (paper waitlist is hanging by the door). Staff is friendly and pleasant. This most recent visit they messed up on the ice cream flavor when making one of the dishes, and brought us more scoops of (the correct) ice cream for us without us saying a word. This time, I went with friends, and got their melon snow bingsu and the grass jelly with brown sugar syrup. Bingsu here is always great, and I especially love the toppings you can toss ontop. It's both fun, and you get to (somewhat) control how sickly sweet you love your dessert by just not pouring that much syrup on. The grass jelly with brown sugar syrup is a lot of ice and milk which I probably should have expected and wasn't really my favorite. I'm a huge fan of their bingsu!
