    Egg and banana Roti
    Tom T.

The place was busy on a Sunday night but the turnover was quick so we were seated almost immediately. We ordered 2 desserts. The black Thai tea crepe consisted of a black crepe filled with ice cream. It came with a side of the Thai tea-flavored condensed milk and some Oreo crumbs. I loved biting into the chewy crepe exterior. The Oreo added some crunch. It was a nice mix! The egg banana roti was my favorite of the two. The roti was served hot. The fried egg inside tasted like breakfast. Then the ice cream on the side reminded me that I was eating a late night dessert. My senses were confused but in a good way. The rest of the menu looked delicious. I would definitely come back to try their savory items for a proper meal.

Great spot for dessert. Small, intimate seating area. Great selection of dessert and savory dishes. I ordered the Mango Tango Bingsu and Strawberry Bingsu, $17 per. (maybe a bit pricey for what I'm receiving, serving size is small with the sticky rice...) I love that they close at 12am if I'm ever craving a late night sweet treat!

When we came on a Friday evening around 8 pm, we were seated right away. Ordered the Thai tea toasted and mango with sticky rice crepe. The mango crepe was good but the Thai tea toasted was lacking and had a very artificial or funny flavor. During our may be 35 minute total stay there, there were always at least one or two empty tables but the waitress asked us multiple times while we were browsing the menu if we were ready to order within the first couple minutes we sat down. Before we were even half-way done, a check was put on the table. The seating was not comfortable and there is no restroom. Overall, I think if you just want to grab a quick ok dessert and don't mind being unnecessarily rushed, then this is ok but personally, I will not return.

Truly our favorite dessert place. Brought my friends and definitely didn't disappoint. The dessert is perfect, it came out timely, and it wasn't too busy tonight. I recommend 3 desserts for 5 people, it was the perfect amount. Love everything about Naya!

Another Richmond District gem, charming, cute, and fun for your favorite sweet tooth. A spot you can count on to satisfy late night cravings. For comfort i'll order any of the toasted desserts which is a sweet milk bread bowl filled with everything wonderful (ice cream). But The bingsu with mango sticky rice is such a treat for a warm day. The space is a bit small so there is a wait sometimes but the food comes out quick. The service is always fast, the food is always pretty. For savory I like their pork and tom yum noodles. Parking is okay but worth it!

My friend raved about how this place has the most authentic bingsu compared to Korea itself so we had to try. While it advertises itself as a dessert cafe it also has a full savory menu so we got two savory appetizers to cushion our blood sugar haha - The pork shoulder and sticky rice was soooo yummy and the perfect little portion (note it's not a full meal even for someone with a light appetite) - The fish ball explosion had a fun crunchy texture but didn't wow me For dessert we ordered - the winter melon bingsu. The "ice" part of the bingsu was actually this tasty cream in flakes, not ice. If I knew the bingsu tasted like this I would have gotten some earlier bc I didn't want ice. The winter melon flavor was delicous as well - the Thai tea mochi bomb: Thai tea ice cream with cream fluff wrapped in a thin sheet of mochi and topped with more Thai tea sauce and Oreos. The ice cream tasted exactly like Thai tea and was delicious but the black food coloring of the mochi wrap was a bit off putting Logistics: - limited indoor seating only (sit down) - limited street parking nearby

Very cool dessert spot in SF. Everything was amazing and there were some underrated combinations for sure. Prices were a bit steep but there were some cool crepes that I'd like to go back and try. Tables are a bit close to one another so you'll definitely need your inside voice but all in all a good experience.

First time at this Naya location on Geary! We went around 9pm on a Saturday and it was packed. We had to join the waitlist and it took about 25 minutes to be seated. The interior is a little cramped. We ordered the mango sticky rice and the pandan kaya toast. The mango stick rice was okay but the kaya toast was amazing as always. It's one of their most popular dishes. Would come back again!

Omg bestieeee, Naya Dessert Café is literally that spot Like, if you're from San Jose and you haven't pulled up yet, what are you even doing?? The vibe is super cute -- lights, kpop music, and desserts that are straight-up Instagram material. I got the mango bingsu and a brown sugar milk tea, and omg it was giving main character energy. The bingsu was hella soft and refreshing, and the drink was sweet but not too sweet (they get the ratio just right, fr). The workers were super nice too -- they even helped me pick the perfect dessert for my vibe that day Like, it's the kind of place you go with your girls after dinner, post up for cute pics, and just talk about life.

Came on. Saturdays night around 8:30PM and the place was almost packed! Good thing there was still 2 empty tables so we didn't have to wait. The Banana Nutella Roll was delicious! The outer layer is crispy and warm and the inside was bananas filled with flavor! The Japanese Soft Crepe Cake was good as well but I think it was a little plain. We should have ordered something else but it was still good! The crepe is delicious! I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu! The prices are super reasonable as well!

SOLID go-to late night dessert spot in the richmond district! It can get crowded as there are only ~8 tables but I've never felt rushed and service is always super friendly. I've tried many items on their menu but my favorites are the double strawberry bingsu, durian sticky rice bingsu, and mango tango bingsu, as well as the brick toasts "toasted" and mango sticky rice. The presentation of each dessert is also very aesthetic and nicely plated. I really appreciate the consistency each time I come, as well as between locations. I will definitely be back and I would highly recommend for cute, aesthetic, asian inspired desserts!

I'm not much into dessert but it's always nice to indulge it once it a while. If you're not much into desserts like me, don't even try exploring the menu. One dessert is enough, unless you're in a large group! The staff was really friendly, and the food came out quickly and beautifully presented. It can get crowded in the evening, but the wait isn't too long.

Yes, it is one person doing everything, but he's super sweet and thorough. So, have patience coming here. Restaurants probably can't afford more labor when their own costs of food, labor, rent and insurance is so high. With that said, the food is expensive. However, the items we ordered were delicious, clean, fresh, and authentic. Ginseng chicken soup was made with love. Can't find this dish in most Korean spots! Longer wait time because it takes longer to make. Meat fell if the bone, stock was rich and not salty! You can salt it yourself! Mackerel was tasty and juicy. Probably, the best pan fried mackerel I've had. The mungbean pancake was good but not for the price. Side dishes were decent. Kimchee could be better. Location is in the heart of Japan town! That's rare. Mother approved and we will be coming back again!

And the Spicy Calamari & Bulgogi was actually $20 higher (!!!) than what's listed on Yelp (no prices on website), so find this pretty misleading. It was also overcooked, so bummer all around. Took a chance on this Japantown fav and left wishing I'd purchased basically anything else there. Apparently I'm not alone, while all the other restaurants were bustling on a busy Sunday evening, this one was virtually empty.

That could be a good or bad thing depending on the vibe you are going for. All the dishes hit their mark for me. We got: Mulhwae: very refreshing white fish sashimi with refreshing greens, citrusy sauce and strawberries. I thought the strawberries added more to the presentation than the taste. However, the dish itself was delicious. Scallops and shrimp: Similar as above, a very refreshing light appetizer. I would get either this of the other because they're kind of the same idea. Potato fritter w/ mentaiko: probably my top 1 or 2 of the night. Think fancy hashbrown with creamy umami pollock row plus more crispy toppings. This is a must-have I would say. Soft tofu soup w/ galbi: I liked the theatrical element of pouring the home-grown soy from Oakland to create the tofu right in front of you. The umami broth and the jang make this dish very rich. Another must have! Pork jowl bossam: this was a delicious take on bossam. Smokey soft jowl. The greens and kimchi accompanied it made this dish taste so healthy while satisfying your craving. If you just love buttery soft tender meat, go for it. However if you like jowl because you like the chew/bounce on every bite, you might be disappointed because this meat is super soft! Drinks: matcha colada was a little too coconuttey for me. It kind of overpowered the taste of any matcha but if you like coconut, this is a perfect visually pleasing and sweet dessert cocktail. The lychee blossom had a pleasant taste of fruit and almost tasted like there was yogurutoo or calpico in it. I much preferred this drink and it was on the sweeter side too. Overall pleasant experience, worth taking some guests or a date. Also we got 4-5 dishes but left super full! We probably would've been fine with 1 or 2 appetizers less.

Granted we were a bit late for our reservation, we ended up having to wait another 30-40 mins. The place (2nd floor) is small & awkward. We were all cramped waiting on the stairway and the actual seating area is also fairly small for a busy KBBQ place/big parties. The 8 of us squeezed into a booth with 2 chairs on the side. You can also feel whenever the table next to us got up and stomped/yelled/moved in their chairs-- which was really often. The basic AYCE menu is fairly limited-- esp for the side options. The marinated meats were pretty good as was the tteokbokki. Side & meat portions were alright, but the kicker is having to flag down staff to make sure they put in the order & bring it out. We asked for japchae about 5 times before it actually reached our table towards the end of our meal. The server/manager also told us that he had accidentally brought out 2 bottles of soju for us and that he'd COMP 1 bottle. We didnt notice that he had actually charged us for 2 and comped/subtracted a "third" one. So none were really comped at all. I just realized after we paid and that felt really sketchy. Idk if it's worth coming back here.
