Pretty solid spot for Korean tofu soup, albeit their menu is a little small with a good amount of it being Japanese. Their portions are larger than expected and pricing is fair. I ordered a seafood tofu soup and forgot to ask them to make it mild spicy. Turns out, the soup is not as spicy as I expected, so people with a below average spice tolerance will probably be fine. The soup was pretty good, and its very hard to distinguish tofu soups apart since I assume they all use the soon tofu kit lol. I do like how they gave a lot of seafood in the soup, and the soup tasted a little more seafood-y than other spots. Service was attentive in the beginning, but as more people walked in, became relatively slow. Since it's a small spot with 1 person managing waiting tables and takeout orders, I waited a few minutes and had to raise my hand a couple times to call them over. This spot overall is a cheap, no frills place that gets the job done. However my dish was super oily, so I have to dock off a star for that. There was a pool of oil at the end. Seems like not everyone's food was that oily, just me. I miss Marilyn, the old owner. The new people here are OK. The head chef is an older Korean women now. Go Go 7 used to give you a pot sticker with the entree dishes. That is now gone. The little side banchan dishes are 1/2 of what they used to be. This time I got a complementary seaweed soup, Miyeok-guk. My order tonight was shrimp tempura $16 and saba fish $17. It was meh. Dolsot bibambap was good, love the crispy rice pieces from the stone pot. Good assortment of veggies, but the beef can be more tender. The rice in the gimbap had hard pieces and was that not good, it was disappointing. Spicy chicken bento box has a great variety of items from salad, tempera, mandu. Came here on a week night and it was surprisingly easy to find parking. We were seated right away- serve water/tea, banchan and a free soup. We ordered: - kimchi fried rice: looked and smelled delicious. Comes with a fried egg on top. Lacked a little depth in flavor but the kimchi flavor was there and it was nicely fried. - seafood pancake: the pancake was thick and loaded with ingredients so it was on the thicker side and a little crispy. It had enough flavor that I didn't need to dip the sauce on the side. - Korean fried chicken: wow the best dish for this meal! The chicken was saucy but still soo crunchy and flavorful. Didn't expect it to come with sides such as kimbap, salad, rice, fried egg and fried potatoes. Overall, great value for good Korean food and big portions! Came here for lunch on a Sunday. It's fairly busy, but we were able to find seating. They only had one server who was friendly and very busy (so be a little patient). I went here all the time when I lived in SF Jenny is very nice and the place has a nice welcoming environment family style I recommend the chicken curry as well as the combo galbi and spicy pork. Absolutely terrible.. I miss the old Go Go 7. Prices went up and the food was so bad. Some of the banchan dishes tasted spoiled and the server said it was supposed to taste like that. The food did not look appetizing. Bulgogi was so dry. Galbi was a miss. We asked for a mild tofu soup and got non spicy. Service was nonexistent. We asked for spoons for our soup.. never got them. Ended up getting it ourselves and we saw another party do the same. We asked for a high chair first, but they ended up giving it to another table. The server knew we were ready to order, but took someone else's order first. One of the servers rolled her eyes when a customer said it wasn't the best right dish. Horrible lacks taste beef bulgogi was dry and not tender was not marinated in sauce as I always had it in the past. The chicken wings was horrible and no taste either they fry they rock hard just as is and give you a thin sauce to dip in. Spicy chicken nasty but you could eat it. The spicy pork wasn't spicy at all, but tasted decent enough. The beef bulgogi was pretty bland and had to be dipped in sauce. Everything else in the bento boxes were great though I would order different menu items if I ever go there again. The ambiance was okay, a little cramped with seating but overall peaceful with some low music in the background. The waitress was nice to us, but sort of left and wouldn't check in on us. My friend and I both ordered the 2 items combo. I ordered chicken and added $1 for the spare ribs. It came with 1 fried dumpling, rice, 10 different banchans for the 2 of us to share, a small bowl of spicy noodles, and a Yakult drink for dessert. It was only $17 for all of this, or around $21 including tips. It is also +$1 if you want bulgogi, +$2 for salmon, or $3 for kalbi. We came at 12 noon on a Saturday and there were no lines.
