Hard to describe this place. I did not expect too much as it's in the outer Mission area between the Excelsior and Mission Terrace. When you walk in you're greeted with the nicest friendly staff I've seen in quite a while. The area is inside is nice and clean. The menu is refreshingly full of options. We enjoyed their rolls! 5/5 6 piece sashimi and beef teriyaki ~ my bf got this dinner combo. Unfortunately, he didn't like how the beef was cooked. It was very thin, well done and very pale, as if the pan was cold when the meat hit the pan and it started boiling verses being grilled or seared. So the meat was not tender or juicy. The sauce helped, but meat should be juicy on its own. The sashimi was bland too. Usually salmon would have a creaminess. This had no flavor. Probably will not order this again. 2/5 If it weren't for their service and warm hospitality, I would have taken off another star. I understand they're still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. However, I do hope they will cook their beef better or ask how customers would like their meat cooked.
