Love this place located in Mission. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were very impressed with how clean it was. The host was very nice and very efficient. We ordered the sashimi deluxe, sushi & sashimi deluxe and baked sushi salmon. We also had sake. It was a lady who was making all the sushi and sashimi. When they served our food, the plating was a work of art. She was very skilled and the food was mesmerizing. Not only that, Everything was amazingly fresh and delicious!!! Nothing bad I can say about this place but that it was a wonderful experience. We had an awesome time and we look forward to going back for more delicious food. You need to stop by this place if you want fresh delicious sashimi!

Ordered the large salmon teriyaki bento which includes the gyoza, sashimi, salad, California roll, miso soup and the salmon teriyaki. Definitely worth the price, it's $18.95 before tax. The bento prices are pretty worth it, ranges from $13.95-19.95. It depends on the size that you are getting. The salmon teriyaki is a bit of a thin cut, but the flavor was great and salmon was soft too. Also for the price and the other food that you get, it's still pretty filling. Service is fast and the staff are sweet. Handle the food and packaging with care when I went to pick the food up. The environment is clean and does get a bit busy during lunch time. Another side note is that it is a bit hard to find parking. But the food and price are worth it! Most likely I would continue to get pick up to avoid finding parking. Definitely will come back to try their other dishes.

Affordable! Attentive service! Large portions! This is a solid Japanese restaurant right on Mission St if you're looking for tasty sushi rolls, quality sashimi, or crispy tempura. Prices are shockingly affordable for San Francisco. I visited on a Monday around 7pm and there wasn't a wait at all. This is the best place for a casual weekday dinner where you're craving quality sushi.

Had dinner reservations but was running late. We were still able to walk in and get seated pretty quickly. It wasn't that busy for a Saturday night. We ordered: Spicy Garlic Edamame Super Jalapeno Super Bomb Chicken Katsu (Single Entree Dinner) Chicken Teriyaki (Single Entree Dinner) The edamame was so good. The sauce was sweet but not too spicy and love the garlic with it. Really addicting to eat. Both the super Jalapeno and super bomb were delicious. Lots of food with the single entree dinners. Chicken Katsu was crispy and went well with the katsu sauce. I saw that they received a lot of to-go orders and can absolutely see why. It's a casual place and another good option in San Francisco for Sushi.

We ordered for takeout -- food was okay, decent. Service was quick and friendly, and pickup was smooth and easy.

I loved this sushi place. Literally anything with cooked or raw salmon on it was delicious. The women who were working were so sweet and attentive. Loved seeing a woman as the sushi chef (it's usually predominantly male sushi chefs at the sushi restaurants I visit) we went on a Saturday in the afternoon and it was not busy at all. Found parking right in front. We were sat right away, and we did not wait long for our sushi. Pricing isn't horrible, and food was pretty top tier for me! Fish tastes fresh, and they had many options to choose from. Will definitely be coming here again when craving sushi :)

A lot of selection, but meh sushi. Seated quickly, plenty of space in the restaurant. Bento box opens available for lunch and dinner, it is cheaper during lunch. Able to order 2 or 3 items: add $$ for sashimi, nigiri, beef. The miso soup is good. The salad dressing was a bit chunky. The sashimi could be improved as it was not as smooth as other sashimi I've had. Salmon teriyaki was slightly dried. Overall, it was was okay meal, maybe their sushi rolls are better

This is my second visit to this establishment, and I am consistently impressed with the quality of both the food and service, which remain exceptional. The restaurant features a well-lit interior with ample space, creating a comfortable dining environment. Additionally, there are decorative lights and a Christmas tree near the entrance, adding to the festive atmosphere. My mother ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box, while I chose the salmon teriyaki lunch special. Stop by if you're in the area.

I came here with a girlfriend and we really enjoyed the sushi. It's nothing too fancy which I actually love since most sushi spots in the city are pricey so this is a great place. That's a little bit more affordable and low-key. I came here with a girlfriend and we really enjoyed the sushi. It's nothing too fancy which I actually love since most sushi spots in the city are pricey so this is a great place. That's a little bit more affordable and low-key. We ordered the Hamachi lovers roll, it was good, but I wish the fish tasted more fresh. I really loved the Volcano Roll, I would order it again. I tried the Salmon Hand rolll and liked it too. I thought it was a good portion size.

I'm all about promoting my neighborhood and our local spots, but I'll have to be honest, I'm pretty shocked Chacho has 5 stars. This place was good and we will probably come back, but I found all the food to be very average at best. For some reason a huge portion of the sushi roll menu has cream cheese. I'm not the biggest fan so it really limited my options. THE COST $101.52 total (including tax/tip) for lunch for 2 adults, 2 young kids. We did get to use their opening deal which was a free beer or sake for each (adult) diner. FAMILY FRIENDLY This was fine for our kids as we just got plain udon, but they dont have a kid's menu and I'm not sure about high chairs/booster seats (I didn't see any, but there weren't any babies/toddlers there). THE WAIT None on a Saturday at 12:45pm. THE FOOD * Edamame ($4.95) - 3 stars. * Agedashi Tofu ($6.50) - 3 stars. The outer layer was more sticky than crispy. * Plain Udon ($7.95) - 3.5 stars. Fine, kids liked it. * Sake Sushi ($6) - 3.5 stars. * Cherry Blossom Roll ($15.95) - 3 stars. Fish was really not very fresh. * Dragon Roll ($14.95) - 3.5 stars. * King Philly ($14.95) - 3 stars.

Hard to describe this place. I did not expect too much as it's in the outer Mission area between the Excelsior and Mission Terrace. When you walk in you're greeted with the nicest friendly staff I've seen in quite a while. The area is inside is nice and clean. The menu is refreshingly full of options. Each of the roles they delivered to us were warm the fish of high-quality, and the taste was original. That is why I'm giving this five stars, I've been to many sushi restaurants in San Francisco in this place has carved its own niche of Scrumptious food. You can tell it is a neighborhood favorite with the individuals and families eating around and it was quite full for a late Sunday afternoon. I think it's worth a travel to this place to see what makes this place magical, in all its simplicity and in an undiscovered local.

Surprised by the quality cuts of fish for the sushi rolls I ordered here and they were really filling so will return when I'm in the mood for Japanese food. Interior is very clean and modern too.

    Jasmine W.

I came here on a Monday for dinner and ordered the San Bruno roll and sushi XL. This place is on the cheaper side, but I did not think the fish was that fresh. The service was pretty standard; nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary. There were a few other tables there for a Monday night, and the restaurant itself is pretty spacious and has many tables. Personally, this restaurant is also a bit out of the way for me too, so I would not say it's worth going out of your way for. I had to park a few blocks away as there was not a lot of parking in this area. Likely will not come back again, but overall it was not a bad experience.

They even put a spicy sauce on the side of one of the katsu plates when we mentioned that my dad couldn't handle all that haha. This cozy spot mainly focuses on katsu plates, but I like how they had off menu or specials to choose from if you'd like another option. I will say though them katsu plates were just chef's kiss. The meat is pounded thin enough where it's still juicy and tender, but doesn't affect the exterior from being crunchy and a bit flaky. Nothing was dry here yallll! I also like how it already comes with miso soup and salad. Huge fan of that Hamachi Truffle special though. Think of a citrusy flavor from the ponzu, fresh fish, a bit of micro greens, and a thin slice of jalapeño that just ~works~ on a cute wooden spoon that you want to steal I could honestly eat like 5 spoons of this. I'd skip on the calamari as it was kind of skimpy to share with a large group. Only note was that their fried katsu curry was a bit underwhelming with having more slices of carrots than potato! Would love to come back if I am ever in the area.

The restaurant can be a little hidden, but it's pretty easy to find with the instructions they send before your reservation. It's located above Fermentation Lab. Just head up the stairs and you'll find it inside the old Ichi Pub space. The restaurant is small and intimate, with only 9 seats at the counter. When you arrive, walk through the Yuji curtain and check in directly with the chef since there is no host. My biggest concern with set menus is always whether I'll feel satisfied and full afterward, but that was definitely not an issue here. My husband and I were both very satisfied after the meal. Every dish was delicious, and you could really taste the quality of each ingredient. Highlights for me were the bluefin sashimi, which was so buttery and soft that it literally melted in your mouth. The skillfish was rich and decadent, and the citrus and ginger balanced the flavors. The fried fish was another favorite as it reminded me of the savory Japanese rice crackers I loved growing up. Since it's located in Japantown, parking can be challenging. We had to loop around several times looking for street parking and even had two cars take spots we were waiting for, so definitely give yourself extra time before your reservation. The location is unusual, as the restaurant is open to the mall, which is a bit disruptive. I came for the 8:30pm seating, but the previous guests were still finishing, so I had to wait until 8:45pm. The staff did not seem very concerned. Bad start. You could also hear the mall cleaning crew during dinner, which was not very pleasant. I ordered the 24-item Mizuho Menu, as did all the other guests. There were 5 guests in total (the restaurant can seat up to 8 people). Here is the menu I was served at the end of May: 1. starter: ama ebi cracker with caviar, pickled lotus root with shaved bonito, crab salad 2. nigiri 4x: isaki, iwana, myabi tai, kanpachi 3. sashimi: chutoro, hotate with caviar, umi masu, sawada 4. nigiri 8x: hirame, suzuki, inada, kurodai, shima aji, kamasu, otoro, aged A5 wagyu, kinmedai 5. hot dish: miso soup with inari and shrimp head, hokkaido uni with marinated ikura, black cod, umi masu with raw yellow egg and caviar 6. dessert: matcha ice cream with strawberry Frankly, the food was excellent. The starter was not very creative, but the nigiri were great. The sashimi selection was very nice, with some fish you do not see as often in omakase menus, such as isaki, iwana, and myabi tai, a kind of tai. Sawada was delicious and is always a good inclusion. We asked for some wasabi and received a small cup of kizami wasabi, a chopped wasabi with a slightly crunchy texture, which was a nice touch. For the nigiri, all the classics of a good omakase were present: otoro, kinmedai, shima aji, uni, hotate, and wagyu. Kamasu was also included, and it is one of my favorite fish. It is also worth noting that they age both their beef and their tuna, including the otoro that was served. A few pieces were torched, maybe a few too many. Overall, the service was not memorable, although chef Ron Au was friendly and nice. The place itself felt a bit questionable, and my expectations were not very high after the beginning of the meal.
