Came here to warm up with some hot soup after a cold round of golf. Everyone wanted something hot to eat. This is in our neighborhood Sunset District but have never tried Noodle Stop. It is a nice casual restaurant. Menu is very extensive and took us awhile to go through all the choices. They have a Monday-Friday before 2:30 pm special combo which includes 1 hot drink. Many noodle options to choose from too. The ambiance is typical no thrills but clean. Customer service was good and they put tables together for the 7 of us. They kept refilling our hot tea too. It was not crowded as it was a little late for lunch and they never rushed us out either. I only took pictures of my order of Combo C4 Minced Pork with Rice Noodle and A1 Hong Kong Style Won Ton Noodle Soup. I took a picture of the dish next to me, but not sure exactly what it was on the menu, but she said it was good. Everyone ordered the small portions since it was so late for lunch but everything came out piping hot and it was enough to fill you up. They sell their homemade hot sauce and we got to try some served with our order. It's is definitely very HOT! Overall food was good, service was good, prices are decent. We all enjoyed the food and just might be back again since the menu is so extensive.
Neighborhood restaurant serving comfort Cantonese somewhat fast food. Has weekday lunch specials. We had the: - Combo C: Fish Jook with Chinese Fried Doughnut. $2 off regular hour prices. Had better fish (has skin) and tastier Jook elsewhere. Dip the doughnut in the Jook / Porridge for contrast, crunchy doughnut and smooth soupy Jook. - Combo D:! Beef Stew Rice Roll with Milk Tea, also $2 lower than during regular hours. Not much stew but braised meat was nice and soft. - Beef Curry over Noodles, spicy... Restaurant is a version of Cantonese fast food. Also has desserts. Old school 60s ambiance, blue collar vibe with inexpensive food. Not the highest in quality but good for the price.
As always, we couldn't decide where to eat, so we just parked the car on Noriega and walked around, hoping something would pique our interest. We landed at Noodle Stop, a hole-in-the-wall, no frills joint. We've been here before, but it looks as if the menu has expanded. It used to be a simple and limited menu. We were able to grab a table on a Friday night at about 6 pm. Service is fast and efficient. GAI LAN WITH OYSTER SAUCE ~ A bit overcooked, so the texture was soft. They gave us a dish of oyster sauce on the side. 3/5 BRAISED DUCK LEG WONTON THICK NOODLE SOUP ~ My guy ordered this. It was in a slightly spicy curry-type broth with wide egg noodles, which were overcooked and soggy! The duck leg wasn't large enough to be the star of the show. The majority of what was in the bowl was soggy noodles. They are generous with their offering, but execution needs improvement. 2.5/5 STEWED BEEF BRISKET WITH PORK FEET GUILIN RICE NOODLE SOUP ~ This was my dish. The guilin noodles were cooked just right, and the beef brisket and pork feet were tender and flavorful. It was on point and perfect for SF's chilly evening weather. (Just a note for those who are allergic to peanuts, they are added to the Guilin noodle soup bowls.) 4/5 PORK INTESTINE GUILIN RICE NOODLE SOUP ~ My friend ordered this, and I tried a bit of the pork intestine as I've never had it before. It has an acquired flavor and taste! Eating one was okay, but I don't think I could eat a whole bowl of it! It had a good chewy texture, but I wasn't used to the taste. He liked it, so that's all that mattered. 4/5 Some dishes were cooked perfectly, while others were overcooked. There is only one chef in the kitchen, so when there are many orders to fill and not enough assistance, food doesn't turn out as it should. With a name like Noodle Stop, your noodles need to be cooked perfectly! Hit or miss with that one!
Stopped by this small noodle shop one night after picking up a friend from the airport. Even after 9:00 PM, they had a good amount of seating available and a relaxed, quiet atmosphere. I ordered the Seafood Lo Mein, which was a generous spread--it came with veggies, fried calamari, shrimp, a seafood cake, and a side of soup. Everything was very tasty (or maybe I was just starving? Hehe though I'm pretty sure it was just great food!). The service was excellent; the staff members were incredibly kind. I also really loved the vibe of the place, especially the butterfly wall and the street sign decor. I'll definitely be back to try the Curry Duck Leg Soup next time!
Came to Noodle Stop and was really impressed with their Guilin noodle soup. The portion was huge, and there were plenty of toppings, which made it feel very worth it. I really enjoyed the noodles and would definitely recommend giving them a try. There's a good amount of seating in the restaurant, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
The chicken wings had a hint of curry flavor, they were juicy and crispy. The only odd thing was we asked for garlic fries to substitute the regular and they said No! But why? We even said we would pay extra. Well I would come back to try other dishes. Other peoples soup noodles looked good.
It's like I'm dining in Hong Kong Wow these noodles really brought me back to my HK trip. Okay here goes, I highly recommend their Cantonese Style number 9, wonton noodles which has different wontons with abalone, crab, and shrimp. It was super fresh and Hella good. But let's get to the star of the show, tge hot sauce and potstickers. When the lady asked me if I wanted 4 or 10, I quickly said 10 thinking if I didn't finish it, I could air fry them later. The potstickers didn't even make it past 5 minutes. I ate them ALL. Super fresh and crispy and with that sauce, the bomb! It was gone in a flash. My coworker's beef intestine and pig feet soup looked intense. Everything was great and we are sooo addicted to the hot sauce and their pot stickers. We bought 2 batches to go and the chili sauce. That's how good it was.
New hours, new specials menu and time. Seems like business is slower during the week reflected in their new business hours. No frills, Hong Kong spot. Wonton, jook, and milk tea are all tasty. Service is pretty standard Chinese place.
Never so angry. Wonton is not cooked. Soup is hot but wonton is lukewarm. We were hungry so just have to eat only the wonton skin. Split out all pork filling. This shop need to be retrain all staff about food safety. Teenager can boil dumplings and at lease cook it through in water. Horrible. Never again! Bathroom is clean and service is good. Hence 2 stars.
A great neighborhood place for a casual meal. Family run so it has a cozy feel. There can be a wait for lunch. They have breakfast combos until 11am that are a good deal. I really like their wontons. Each one has a different flavor. I'm also a sucker for their homemade spicy sauce.
Came here to try a new noodle spot with friends!! The ambiance is nice and cozy, and the service is great as well! We ordered our food and drinks pretty quickly, and they came to our table relatively fast too. We got the curry duck noodle, "noodle stop" seafood noodle, and savory rice noodles with peanut sauce! The food was delicious, and the portions were so big! My favorite dish had to be the seafood noodle - the shrimp, calamari, and dumplings were friend on top of the egg noodles, and they give you soup on the side that you pour into the dish yourself! My friend got the hot milk tea and I got the hot honey lemonade, and we both loved our drinks! The hot honey lemonade was definitely on the sweeter side, but it was very good nonetheless. Overall, this was a great noodle spot to stop by and eat - complete with both noodles and hong-Kong style drinks :)
Great, no frills wonton noodle shop in the sunset district, I stumbled upon a lunch spot with friends on a random Saturday. The menu is very extensive, but id stick with the Cantonese style noodle soups here. Most people here ordered the wonton noodle soup and rice noodle rolls. I ordered a hot soymilk which could've been warmer, it felt like they just microwaved the cup so not sure how fresh the soymilk actually was. Rice noodles were just ok, and the broth could've had a bit more flavor. Service for HK style cafe was not bad and pretty attentive
Good customer service, the lady is very knowledgeable about their noodles. Solid flavors and great appetizers. Loved the "salty fried bread" / Chinese banh tieu and dumplings had good skin. Soup was good but the noodles were not the spongiest. However, pretty cheap ~$15 for a big hot bowl. If I'm in the area would definitely consider coming back.

Homey comfort noodle soups. Regulars are the norm here. C5 - BRAISED PORK TROTTERS & BEEF BRISKET LO MEIN, BABY BOK CHOI, GREEN ONION GARNISH. Accompanied w/bowl of the house broth. The broth was okay but a bit too much white pepper for me. And I like white pepper. Flavors were meh but both pork trotters and beef brisket could have been more tender. Especially the pork trotters. Their HOUSEMADE CHILI OIL saved the day! A23 - GREEN ONION PANCAKES (葱油饼) - This was light, nice and crispy, not too oily. Tasty but not sure housemade. LO PAU BEI (SWEETHEART CAKE 老婆饼) - Not sure if they offer this regularly but looked good and fresh. Fillings were TRADITIONAL WINTER MELON, COCONUT, CHESTNUT, UBE, RED BEAN, SESAME. Took home two each of TRADITIONAL WINTER MELON, COCONUT, UBE! If in the neighborhood, I'd do a return visit for their variety of fresh noodles alone and other combos. P.S. I'm not sure what changed recently, but the quality of the food has dropped dramatically. I've always loved the chili wontons here, but the ones on my latest order were completely inedible. The pork tasted off and clearly wasn't fresh, the wontons were much smaller than usual, and the pork and wrappers were tough. The meat was definitely old. Wontons aren't difficult to make. I can make better ones at home and I've never had any this bad. I ended up throwing away two full orders. The beef in the beef porridge also tasted off, it had a strong chemical flavor similar to Fabuloso cleaner - WTH?! Overspray while cleaning?! I had to toss that as well out of concern for safety. I'm extremely disappointed and I completely wasted my money. Please taste your food before serving it - what I received was not edible. read more

Tucked away little spot on Noriega, very conveniently located! Straightforward ambiance inside but overall clean. Food was good - my friend and I really like their rice noodles and also got their five star wonton noodles. I enjoyed the beef brisket rice noodles - good texture - and the wonton noodle soup had good flavor though not as bouncy noodles. My personal favorite, however, was the mix sauce rice noodles but especially with the house chili oil which was sooo good and I wish I got a pic of it. The flavors altogether along with the chew of the noodles - match made in heaven. Also I really want to shoutout the nice lady working there, she kept refilling our teas (which come complimentary with the meal!) and also made a point to say that my friend and I didn't have to rush out. We came here because we heard their wonton noodle is good. However... Wonton noodle - The wonton was good! Marinated with Sesame oil, the soup is also very good. But the noodle is just average. Even after paying the extra $3 for the special noodle. That's not worth it. 桂林牛肚米線 - Not bad. I'd prefer the 牛肚 cut into bigger pieces cause it lost the texture (口感). The noodle seems softer, I prefer firmer. read more

Noodle Stop is a great family-owned restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious noodles. The homemade hot sauce and wife cake are amazing. Highly recommended if you're hungry. read more
Was in the mood for some good wonton and found this place via fellow Yelpers. The service here is very good and attentive is the first thing my family and I noticed when we came here on Memorial Day. We got here at 11.30am and was surprised how packed the place was. But I realized it was because the early folks came for the special weekday combo meal deal and which looked like a real good deal. We ordered the 5 star wonton soup with and without noodles, green onion pancake, the beef entrails and wonton lo mein, and beef entrails rice noodle soup. All the food tasted great and I can see why this place showed up when I did a Yelp search for best SF wonton! I will definitely be back again in the future when I am nearby going to the SF Sunset or Richmond district! read more

Stopped by on a Sunday at noon and there were plenty of seats! We ordered dishes to share and ended up with the Saucy Noodle Clay Pot, Duck Curry + wide/flat egg noodles, and Fried Seafood Mix over thin egg noodles! The clay pot cheung fun rolls were not crispy despite the name, but they were still yummy (3.5/5). Duck curry noodles reminded me of HK curry and was very flavorful, would get again with flat egg noodles (5/5). Seafood noodles came with soup on the side and crispy seafood on top (4/5). Service was good. We were served hot tea upon seating. Interior was open and spacious which was nice for conversations, imo. Location was a bit hard to find but overall it was a comforting lunch experience. read more

Extensive menu with too many options. I ordered the duck leg ramen to satisfy a craving after the place I originally wanted to go to was closed. My dining partner ordered the stewed pork feet with wonton noodle soup. The duck leg ramen didn't live up to expectations. The stewed pork feet were good but sparse portions. The clear standout was the homemade chili oil. Overall the food was just average and not enough to make me want to return. read more

Located at the start of Noriega street, this is a hidden gem for noodles! Outstanding Hong Kong style won tun noodles! I highly recommend their 5 Star Won Tun noodle soup: crab roe, abalone, scallops, Be sure to try their wife cake pastries, which are made fresh daily! read more

I thought finding food past 10pm in the Sunset was impossible, but alas Noodle Stop exists! On the weekends they're even open until 1am. We came in around 11pm on a Saturday evening and were very warmly greeted. We were ordering food to go, but they still gave us a table and let us take our time picking. The menu was huge, so deciding what to get was not easy. We ended up going with the chili oil wontons and lo mein noodles with pork, which was actually soup dish to my surprise. The food came up super quick and was still piping hot by the time we started eating it a little while later. They make their own chili oil and even sell it in jars to go. It for sure has a kick to it, the wontons were a little more spicy than I'm used to, but if you like spice, then you'll love it! read more

One of the few no frills noodle places in SF that is opened late and run by a family. They have many noodle options and even sell their own chili sauce. I got the HK wonton noodle soup and was pretty standard. Would come back for a late meal and if I'm in the area. read more

Open until 1 am ; in the outter sunset district. Only street parking available. I called prior to coming in to inquire if they can accommodate party of 11. we came in at 9:30 pm and they had our tables ready for us. Its a small restaurant tucked in Noriega st. In the sunset district , surrounded by a few eateries and residential neighborhoods . We knew this mom and pops was going to be good when we saw their two young boys sitting quietly to the side on their ipads. While mom and Dad graciously welcomed us and provided exceptional service. Hong Kong Style noodles is just want we needed in this SF foggy dew night . So many choices to choose from, we ultimately decided on crispy wings and salt and pepper crispy tofu. Highly recommend these two dishes to start . The chicken was well flavor deep into the flesh and the tofu was one of my favorite. Crunchy and soft inside. I even had the non believers, believe tofu can be delicious. Any of the soups has an options to select any type of noodles, from wide rice noodles , rolled rice noodles, different size of egg noodles choices. I had the wide egg noodles with wontons and seafood and tofu. Wow!! Noodles cooked perfectly aldente , they were generous with the wontons, mmmm so good . Broth was perfect and piping hot. If the broth didnt burn my lips while slurping, I dont want it lol!! My eating partners all love their foods. They were suprised food and service was spectacular .. During our commute home, my notoriously finicky eater enthusiastically discussed the beef stew she had consumed, and two days later, she continued to fondly recall her newfound favorite beef stew and egg noodle soup. read more

The worker was very patient and nice, walking us through menu and off menu seasonal items. The menu itself looks like a HK cafe dream! Endless possibilities of food options, makes you want to order everything. Welp, I'm glad I didn't and here's why... The tripe came first.. and lord, it was bland and tasteless. As if they literally just blanched it in water and served it on a dish - no kidding. Hard pass. Spicy pig intestine flat rice noodle soup, this was just alright. Felt like flavors didn't mend well. Stewed beef brisket was also mediocre. Beef entrails with rice noodle roll was the worse... it was just thick in the worse ways and the flavor was poor. The only good thing was the honey jujube tea... which was a promotional item. Another highlight was their house hot sauce. It tasted good so I purchased a jar. Within a week's time, it molded - what a waste, smh. I hope they improve in every aspect. read more

I was craving Wonton Noodle Soup and stumbled upon this place. It hit the spot and satisfied my cravings! My husband ordered the Beef Curry and it was super flavorful with a good kick to it but too watery for his liking. It was more like a curry soup. read more
I was craving some warm, homey dishes in this cold weather and decided to try Noodle Stop on Noriega. The shop was bright and clean, and service was fast. I was able to put in our table's orders via a QR code on the table, and the food was out before I knew it! The shrimp wonton was pretty good, it has great flavor, and the soup was spot on as well. I loved the bouncy chew of the noodles and it perfectly satisfied my craving. The HK milk tea was also really good, I love how rich it tasted. Lastly, we also had the salt and pepper tofu. It was deep fried but didn't feel too greasy. I would have liked it if it was more seasoned, but it paired very well with the provided chili sauce. Chilly day and hubs wanted noodle soup. Haven't been here since the change from Wonton House. It was busy during our visit, but we were able to snag a table. Started with the garlic fries - arrived hot and crispy. Yum! Hubs ordered the Braised Beef soup with thick egg noodles, and he really enjoyed the bowl of noodles. I went with the Braised beef rice noodle roll claypot - another good dish. Also ordered the hot sesame paste. I liked that it had a pudding-like consistency, and it had just the right amount of sweetness. Served warm, so it was good on this chilly day. Looks like they also make their own pastries in-house with various fillings - will have to give them a try next time. read more
I was sad to see the old Won Ton House go, but I'm happy to see that the noodle stop has taken its place and is doing a good job. We ordered the combination noodle soup and the beef noodle soup. Both tasty and had their own unique flavors. Make sure you add their chili in the soup in you can handle a bit of spice. Probably my favorite part of the entire meal. The service was quick, efficient and friendly. It was nice to hear old Cantonese music like Beyond playing in the background. I am definitely coming back! Also I would definitely recommend trying their home made dessert wife cakes, which is made in house along with their chili sauce. We liked it so much that we took some home :) read more
