Went there for the first time today! They had 7 or 8 types of ceviches, multiple options of tacos, many sides a good selection of drinks. Their ceviche traditional mixto was delicious, and very fresh. Their tacos are good but I preferred the ceviche. The staff was extremely Friendly. The indoor space is beautiful decorated too, they had fun music (maybe a little too loud for lunch time, but it was fine).

The ceviche here is the best I've had! Everything we ordered was amazing and the massive michelada with shrimp was so good and like a meal. The vibe is super cute definitely a great date spot! Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

This spot is soooo adorable and the ceviche is amazing!!! We got the Chan Chan Ceviche and added scallops, verde aguachiles, and waterfall michelada special. Everything was delicious and amazing. The michelada was HUGE, you could split it between 2-4 people! The ambiance here was beautiful and colorful, and it was a great vibe. The staff were very nice and friendly.

As a walk in party of 10, we really appreciated the flexibility of the staff to accommodate us! We came on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get seated right away. They immediately took our drink orders and then food. The drinks and food took a bit longer than expected to come out but thats okay because when they did come, it was all worth it. Outside of Mexico, this is the BEST seafood restaurant in the Bay. The flavors are so authentic and high in quality we were blown away. The dishes were all nice and meaty, served at a phenomenal price point. The miches are also massive here, I'm talking the size of your head! I am so happy to have found and loved a place with so much soul and great food.

Waterfall has expanded their menu and I still love their food as much as my first visit. The restaurant is getting busier, but service is still attentive as they have hired new servers. I'm so happy this place is getting the traffic and support it deserves. To me Waterfall feels like a friendly neighborhood hangout where everybody is chilling and enjoying themselves.

The food was amazing exceeded my expectations. The server was very attentive and the place was so cozy. I loved the music too. I will be back again.

Love it! This is the second time I've tried this spot and the ceviches are very good. If you're craving a michelada or ceviche, this is the spot! We tried the triple aguachile plate and our favs were the mango habanero and green. Service was good the second time and the food is always good. Recommend to try!

Delicious and fresh seafood! The service was great and both servers were friendly. We went during the week, so they're wasn't many people only one other group. Would definitely be back!

I really wanted a michelada and this place seems to specialize in it so done deal. Came here on a Friday and it wasn't too packed, was seated right away. Since we were here, we decided to snack on something small too. I like ceviche but came for the michelada and booom! Would you look at that, they have a dish called Cevichelada, sold. Fresh ingredients, great drink, friendly service.

I LOVE ceviche so when I saw that Doordash going out had a deal I had to go! Waterfall is known for their ceviche and micheladas, but I don't drink so I opted for the food. The do a $14 lunch special with a small shrimp ceviche and 1 baja taco which is a nice deal! I topped up my ceviche with extra scallop as well. My fried fish taco had great crispy texture, but the inside tasted a little fishy. The ceviche was fresh and delicious, but I wish the scallop was chopped into cubes instead of strips! There is complimentary chips (seem store bought) with a creamy sauce. Service was nice!

Not a ton of aguachile spots in SF that I know of so Waterfall does satisfy the craving, although I think spots in Oakland are much better. I was a bit disappointed at how the slow the service was and they forgot parts of our orders. The food itself was alright but I felt the shrimp wasn't as good quality or as big as other places I've had. The aguachile was more heavy on the veggie front too. Restaurant itself was cute, in a good location and had good vibes, but might stick to Oakland to satisfy that craving in the future.

This place is a real hidden gem. The exterior may be unassuming, but the quality of their offerings makes it worth a visit. The food is amazing, and great value if you get a lunch box. Plus they give free chips! Chan Chan Ceviche: Bright and spicy, this dish was invigorating. The fish was good, but the roasted corn really topped the dish for me. It imbued a nuttiness that really mellowed out the acidity. The one complaint I have is that the roasted squash felt out of place. It was very tasty, but the difference in temperatures between it and the rest of the dish was unwelcome. Baja Fish Taco: A light and crispy exterior wraps around wonderfully flaky fish. The accoutrements were not as present as I would've liked, but I can forgive it since the fish was so darn good.

My girlfriend was dying to go here when she saw the pictures of their micheladas, so it was finally got to try it out this past weekend. We go there right at opening and grabbed a seat at the bar. They offer complimentary chips and an orange salsa that was delicious. I got the fresalada which had strawberry fresa and modelo, which is good if you like sweeter things and don't like the tomato juice like myself. My girlfriend got the regular michelada with spicy shrimp, and they give you 5 huge shrimp, and definitely worth the $6 upgrade. To share we got the verde aguachile, which is served with raw shrimp, onions, cucumber, serranos, and lime. This was hella good! For $20 this a steal bc the portion size is big and was honestly of the better aguachile's I've had not being in Mexico. Everything was cut fresh to order and the level of work that goes into making one order of aguachile, shout out to the chef for making things to the order. They got a bunch of tables and bar seating inside, plus a couple outdoor tables. Great for small group from 1-6. Overall, if you like micheladas, ceviche and/or aguachile, they definitely have you covered! I'd for sure come here again when I get the craving.

The chowder didn't have much flavor, the broth pretty much tasted like heavy cream. Like just heavy cream. And served room temperature. The oysters were fine but not worth the price. The service sucked. I was sat on the literal corner of the bar which most places would even have a seat at but Hog Island definitely is getting every penny out of the place. The service was slow. Like he literally saw me pull my card out to pay and immediately walked away so I couldn't just pay and leave. I can't believe they have the audacity to even ask people to tip let alone the 25% on top of tax printed on the receipt. The view is nice but you could easily be sat at a table with no view and still pay obscene prices. It's a hard no for me.

My bf ended up sharing his order with me because I didn't enjoy my Cioppino ($42.) The seafood was bland, all tasting very much alike, & the broth didn't give off that complex spicy tang that my favorite cioppinos possess. My table started with an appetizer of Red Chili Garlic Shrimp ($18) -- from the description, we were expecting a dry, possibly sautéed preparation & were disappointed that the shrimp were sitting in a watery broth. Though I was letdown by my picks here, I know my group enjoyed theirs. We were treated very well by our waiter & by the host who gave us a beautiful window seat; we enjoyed the view of the sun setting over the bay. Not a restaurant I'd regularly return to, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it (with a few caveats, of course) to someone looking for a sit-down Pier 39 meal.

As a writer imagine my utter shock and dismay to be racially discriminated against by the Host of the Waterbar when myself and a colleague were told there were no outside seats only to watch four white men to be given the choice to be seated outside or inside, immediately following what we were told. While they had a party of four, there were only two of us. The ambience here was one of the most beautiful...but we were only privy to a glimpse of the luxury design as we we whisked off down a few steps to the back corner of the restaurant where no one was dining...as if we were escaping some war torn country and they had taken pity on us. While the Indian woman who I dined with voiced her disdain for the obvious difference in treatment she believed we should stay. I have to admit, I cannot tell you how exceptional Chef Mark Franz cuisine was...as it was memorably overshadowed by the bitter taste of racism.
