One of my friends eventually walked up to the bar to order, where a staff member asked how he could help. She explained that we were ready to order drinks, and he responded, "We go to people's tables, and we will go to yours. Just relax." Unfortunately, his tone came across as stern and dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome. This place is a hidden gem! The restaurant is small, spotless, and welcoming. I loved the diverse selection of ceviches and aguachiles, and they also offer a great variety of micheladas, which are absolutely HUGE! I tried the coconut ceviche and the mango habanero aguachile, and both were incredibly flavorful with the perfect level of spice. The octopus in the coconut ceviche was exceptionally tender, honestly some of the best I've ever had in a ceviche. One thing to keep in mind is that service can be a little slow during the weekdays since business tends to be quieter, but the staff is friendly and the food is definitely worth the wait. Perfect for a late lunch on a hot day, yelling over the music about the crema and chips you're greeted with as soon as you order. We split a mix ceviche, with plenty of fresh octopus and shrimp, could-be-riper mango, and the chile de arbol heat was just right. I wish I knew what the darker squiggles of sauce were, but everything was acidic and tasty mopped up with the tortilla chips. A pigeon flapped in right as the place filled up, and thankfully before it panicked too hard into the glass windows, a handy gay firmly clasped it by the wings and took it outside. As a walk in party of 10, we really appreciated the flexibility of the staff to accommodate us! We came on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get seated right away. They immediately took our drink orders and then food. The drinks and food took a bit longer than expected to come out but thats okay because when they did come, it was all worth it. I was a bit disappointed at how the slow the service was and they forgot parts of our orders. My girlfriend was dying to go here when she saw the pictures of their micheladas, so it was finally got to try it out this past weekend. We go there right at opening and grabbed a seat at the bar. They offer complimentary chips and an orange salsa that was delicious. I got the fresalada which had strawberry fresa and modelo, which is good if you like sweeter things and don't like the tomato juice like myself. My girlfriend got the regular michelada with spicy shrimp, and they give you 5 huge shrimp, and definitely worth the $6 upgrade. To share we got the verde aguachile, which is served with raw shrimp, onions, cucumber, serranos, and lime. This was hella good! For $20 this a steal bc the portion size is big and was honestly of the better aguachile's I've had not being in Mexico. Everything was cut fresh to order and the level of work that goes into making one order of aguachile, shout out to the chef for making things to the order. They got a bunch of tables and bar seating inside, plus a couple outdoor tables. Great for small group from 1-6. We tried Baja fish taco (it's a decent size taco that comes with two fried fillet), Chan Chan ceviche (white fish, pineapple, roasted corn, lots of lime, some jalapeños). Theres this server with tattoos and buzz cut who has an awful attitude. Its like you are inconveniencing him for walking into the place. We eventually got our food and it was very disappointing. So sad I didn't take any pictures but the food was so good I must've started eating right away! I'm such a fan of their Baja fish and shrimp tacos. There was so much protein on each taco you could've easily made and extra taco or two out of them. They're pricey but you get a lot of food. Ceviche was also excellent and I appreciate the staff letting us know that the mangoes were not in season however it was still delicious. Service was quick and efficient. Went here twice! Once for just food and another for food and drink. It's a relatively small laid back side shop featuring ceviche, aguachile and a few tacos. Service was great both times I went. No AC though so during the heat wave it was definitely a little warm. Their aguachille and ceviches are really good ! A pescatarian client recommended this spot to me so you already know I had to check it out. I don't drink so I only had a few sips of the Michelada and it was so good! It was savory and spicy with a hint of sweetness from the fruit and I couldn't even taste the alcohol AND it was a pretty large drink too. The ceviche was all really wonderful and great, I just wish there was more! I got the coconut, chan chan, and the mix ceviche and my favorite out of the three has to go to the mix one bc it had spice with it. Overall though, everyone in my party agreed that the fruit (mango and pineapple) in the ceviche complimented the seafood well and were all really delicious.
