Ojo de Bife (ribeye steak 18oz)
Janny W.

I feel like the quality has gone down quite a bit compared to our previous visits. The ojo de bife (ribeye) came bone in this time, which was never the case before, so I do think the menu should specify that to avoid misleading guests. The bread that accompanied the steak also wasn't toasted at all, though our server kindly took it back and gave it a quick toast, which we appreciated. Service was attentive overall, but throughout dinner, our plates were cleared so quickly that it made the experience feel a bit rushed, especially since we had ordered a bottle of wine and were simply trying to enjoy the evening and catch up with friends. On a positive note, the wine recommendation paired really well with our steaks. The yuca fries tasted a little stale, while the gem salad was decent but nothing particularly memorable. We'll still definitely come back because we've enjoyed this spot in the past, but the overall vibe just felt a little off this time around. Cheers!

Yuca fries and braised short ribs

4.5! It was awesome. Would love to go back! Anytime. I went with a friend for dinner and we both had a cocktail. I got the Pink House and he got the Negroni-- lovely and strong. We started with the ceviche de pescado with a crispy and unique corn fritter. We had the beef tartare which was creamy and the toast it came with was nice and buttery. Then we had the octopus and braised short ribs! The short ribs were both of our favorites-- rich and satisfying. Oh and we got yuca fries. Flavors were on point. Texture was all there. Would be happy to go back.

Tried Lolinda out as a group of 6! We had reservations, and were led upstairs and pretty quiet for the most part which was nice. (As we left for the night, it was pretty packed downstairs and a lot louder). We ordered quite a bit of food! -tartar de carne $15 -ceviche mixto $17 -pan de queso $10 -pulpo (octopus) $23 -milanesa napolitana (chicken thigh) $31 -seco de costilla (short rib) $38 -yuca fries $10 -gaucho (bone-in ribeye) $85 -hueso asado (bone marrow) $18 For dessert, we ordered: -chocotorta (chocolate cake) -churros All desserts $11. Overall, flavors were good. Plates are definitely tapas, so on the smaller side. Street parking if you're lucky. Otherwise, we parked in the garage about a block down.

Broccolini

I told a friend I wanted to be surprised with dinner at a place we hadn't visited before, and she chose Lolinda. Funny enough, once I got there, I realized I had actually been before, possibly for my birthday last year. I remember having a great experience back then, enjoying a parrillada and finishing with delicious churros, but I never wrote a review since I was caught up celebrating. This time, we decided to explore different options. We started with the octopus, which was beautifully prepared, and the pão de queijo served with a honey butter that was absolutely irresistible. For the main course, we ordered the ribeye with broccolini. The broccolini had a subtle kick of spice that I actually really enjoyed, and the texture and doneness were just perfect. Their cocktail menu offers a great variety. We had a caipirinha and a margarita made with both tequila and mezcal such a bold and flavorful combination. Service was excellent. Our server whose name sounded something like Jeffrey (but not quite!) was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. To finish, I tried the alfajores, served with a creamy accompaniment that tied everything together beautifully. We left with a great taste in our mouths and an even better impression of the place. Lolinda is definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Hanger steak + frites, ceviche, ribeye, Malbec
Natalie W.

The whole experience was not bad, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Yuca croquettes, ceviche, hanger steak frites and my friend ordered the Ribeye. After asking for medium pink, my steak was served bleeding and when I asked for it to be cooked more, they did that without issue. I understand it's a bit of a faux pas to ask for medium at a steak restaurant, but I appreciate the accommodations. Fries were oily so I had to avoid them but the stand out was the yuca croquettes which were crisp on the outside and buttery and soft inside with a delicious sauce. The ceviche was fresh and the corn fritters served with them were 10/10. Service was very good but almost too quick. The server took away my appetizer before I finished and also took my silverware so I was waiting for a fork before I could eat my main. No big deal, but just hyper vigilant. We were checked up on no less than 5 times after starting our meal, drinks were never empty and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. The entry area is spacious and has a very open and comfortable feel which is contrasted by the tables which are pretty tightly spaced and close to together so much so that I could hear the people on both sides of me and had to elevate my volume above any normal level to talk during my meal. I think the overall space could be better organized. It's DARK. Not dimly lit, almost had to turn on my phone flashlight to see my dinner table. Overall for the taste and service I will definitely return!

Beef tartare

Our experience at Lolinda was amazing, recently found out about this place from our date night. The ambiance is very nice, definitely a good place to host celebrations since it has two floors. Our server was nice and explained to us what she recommended for drinks and food. We got the beef tartare to start and it was super yummy, but wanted there to be a little more bread. For our mains, we got their steak and broccolini. The steak was well-seasoned and rich, very nicely paired with the little sides they give such as the bread and chimichurri sauce. However, the broccolini really was something that stood out to me. It was uniquely flavorful and had me wanting to order more. Would come back to try other things on their menu!

Fresh heart of palm salad

What a great steak house! We tried many dishes on the menu including the heart of palm salad, fish ceviche, croquettes, pulpo and hanger steak. The highlight for me was the ceviche and the sauce of the octopus. The hanger steak was good, done just right. We got some good malbec to go with the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience Brazilian steaks.

Churros

Loved the experience at Lolinda. It's the type of restaurant where you have dinner and you don't realize that 2 hours have gone by because you're having such a good time with the cocktails and shareable dinner plates. We sat at a high top, but there's also the option to sit at the bar or at the standard tables on the first and second floor. We ordered the 20 oz steak, shrimp, potatoes, and salad. The char on the steak was perfect. The churros with the dips was the ultimate dessert. The servers were also super nice and helpful.

Happy hour menu

Happy hour daily from 5-7? Count me in! When you step inside Lolinda, the space opens up into a large room with dim lighting that transports you out of the Mission into a swanky date spot with just the right level of hubbub. We got the empanadas, burger, and steak sandwich. All were excellent, although I did prefer the steak sandwich over the burger. We didn't have to wait to grab a seat in the bar area and the service was very efficient. If you're looking for a place to impress a first date or a fun happy hour spot, I would check it out. I went in a group of 2, but the space can accommodate larger groups as well.

Amazing service and all the food that came out was exquisite. The vegetable skewer was grilled and charred to perfection with so much flavor. Bone marrow could've been charred on top a bit more but the jam and bread were nice additions that did elevate the flavor profile. Short rib was incredibly tender and the ribeye was cooked a little more than medium rare but still delicious. Honestly every dish that came out was tasted amazing! To end the special night, we got the milk and cookies (spiking it with bourbon!) and that was such an amazing end to the night. Be ready to unbutton your pants when you eat here as many of the dishes will be amazing and you'll end up stuffing your face like I did. Restaurant is definitely a bit dim but looking around it seemed to be a nice spot for dates and intimate celebrations. Restaurant was lively but not overtly loud. Overall a great experience!

Croquetas, ceviche mixto , lemonade, stairway to heaven (bottom left)

Amazing as always, I haven't been back in about 6 months or so but I do love coming here. I could no longer stay away, the ceviche mixto was as delicious as the other times I've had it. The asado mixto was so good ! The meat was so tender and the potatoes were so soft and cooked to perfection. I love that Lolinda's quality never differs and is always consistent ! I made my reservation on the same night which I always recommend especially on weekends. It was fairly busy inside but the place is just as beautiful as ever. Our food came out quickly to and service was delightful. I'm very appreciative of our server for the night as he gifted us free drink tickets (2) as a party of 2 to try out their rooftop bar Cubita previously known as el techo. I can't wait to come back again to Lolinda

We came to Lolinda on a Sunday night for their Prime Rib dinner after seeing it all over social media. Lolinda is an Argentinian steakhouse known for their bbq and we were super excited to try the prime rib. Between 2 people we shared the pan de queso, crispy brussel sprout apps and an order of the prime rib. This was plenty of food for us and we loved the apps! The soft pillowy cheese bread is served with a decadent honey butter and the brussel sprouts were great with roasted squash and chopped dates. Finally the star of the show, the prime rib. It's $68 for a 16oz prime rib with creamy mashed potatoes and some sautéed spinach and carrots. The prime rib was tender but I wish it was more flavorful and I have to say it was a bit on the smaller side for 16oz. I did really enjoy the horseradish sauce though which added a nice boost of flavor. Overall a pretty good meal and easier to get a table at than the other prime rib spot in the city. The ambiance is lively but still romantic enough for date night.

Dessert was delicious

Finally got to check this place out, but first of all I have to give a shot out to Vincent and his staff for creating a great experience. For my first 2026 review, Lolinda did not disappoint. The service, food, atmosphere was amazing. Great place to celebrate any occasion and for groups. Check out my pics.

Ask the Community - Lolinda

Family Kids friendly or adults night out?

In my opinion Lolinda is more of an adults night out spot. It has a more elegant vibe than a family place.

Is there Valet parking available?

No there is not. There is a garage not far around the corner and street parking.

Do you have to have a reservation?

Hi Joey! We happily accept walk-ins, but we strongly encourage making a reservation. This ensures that we can provide you with the best experience, as there might be occasions when immediate seating is not readily available.

Do they have parking?

They do not -- it's on a busy street, but there are some parking garages a few blocks away. The 49 bus drops off right in front of the restaurant (I would recommend taking this instead!)

Is the happy hour available only at the bar?

Is Lolinda really noisy inside? I want to enjoy a conversation with my friends but I am concerned I won't be able to converse without yelling.

It's a little noisy but you can carry a conversation without yelling.

Can I purchase a gift certificate without coming in to the restaurant? I can't get anyone on the phone when I call about how to purchase.

Yes. On our website.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes we do

I know you guys take reservations, but does Lolinda currently take walk-ins as well? Been having difficult getting through to a live person when I call the restaurant.

We absolutely take walk-ins. If we are unable to find a table for you, our bar area is open seating. We have 4 high top tables, a 12 person communal table and of course our terrific bar. Everything that is offered at our tables is offered in our… Read more

If I make a reservation at Lolinda, will I be able to get seated at El Techo after my meal without making a separate reservation?

I believe you'd need to make a separate reservation as they are two different establishments.

How viable is it to bring kids to Lolinda? Is it loud enough that two kids wouldn't bother other patrons? Or is it more a fancy, kid-free environment? Thanks!

As all of the others have answered, it is very loud and dark there, so you really wouldn't notice kids. But, the vibe and atmosphere is definitely grown-up and not a "kid" place. So, the food is also geared toward a more adult palate, and not kiddy… Read more

Is there a separate room or space for private dining?

Hi Holly, thank you for your question. While we do not have a private room/space for dining, we do offer a full buyout option of our Mezzanine area for large groups, or a group of tables for smaller events. If you're interested in more information,… Read more

How much is the corkage fee?

I don't know however their wine list is excellent and totally affordable. Leave your wine at home.

Is there valet parking?

Hi Chris, I'm not sure. When I went, I used Uber. Take care.

Do we need to make reservations? Friday night.

I DEFINITELY would - but I don't believe I would go anywhere on a Thursday or weekend night without a resv.

What is your corkage fee or policy?

Hi Pedram, our corkage is $20 per bottle, maximum of 2 bottles. Thank you for your question, and please let us know if you need anything else!

Can we share an entrée?

Yeah, most of the menu items are meant to be shared. I usually order a couple items per person and share them all.

Do you have gluten free options?

Hi Jason, thanks for reaching out. Yes we have gluten free options, if you just mention it to your server upon arrival, they will happily help you navigate through your options. Hope to see you soon!

Is there dining at the bar and how are walk-in's handled on a Friday night?

Yes there is and walk ins are taken fast from my experience. Group of 5 around 8 taken right away!

Stopped by after the farmer's market - and Cholita Linda's seemed like a great spot to try. The line was a bit hefty even at 2pm, but the sandwiches looked so good! We went with the baja fish taco and asado (Peruvian roast beef) sandwich with a strawberry agua fresca. Water is self-serve, and you get the buzzer thing to notify you of your food. I loved the sandwich so much - bread was tasty, meat was juicy and delicious, and I just mowed it down. I honestly wanted a papito too because steak and plantains sounds so good too - but stuck with asado and no regrets there too. (There'll be a next time right? :)) Absolutely would come back here despite the options available at the Ferry Building - wish there was a closer location in the Peninsula :)

I got two baja fish tacos and a bottle of Sprite. My total came up to $14.01. The pricing is fair and actually much cheaper than other food establishments, especially in SF. The tacos were good, the fish was fresh and crispy. The batter was perfect. The salsa mixed with the crema, in my opinion helped to seal the flavor of the tacos. I filled up with the two tacos. I know that I will come back to get some more fish tacos in the future. But, also curious and wanting to try their carnitas. Next time for sure. We chose to sit outside to take advantage of the gorgeous weather California, well that the Bay Area is experiencing. It was unseasonably warm for a "winter" day in SF. The views are great, but be careful of the wandering seagulls lol. They love to eat at Cholita Linda too! :) We came on a Friday during lunch and it was relatively busy but we were able to place our order, get a buzzer and pick up our food quickly. The great thing about eating here is that you can take a stroll around the Ferry Building, window shop and maybe get some dessert as well in the other shops. Not to say that Cholita Linda doesn't offer dessert, they do, but I was stuffed and couldnt have a bite of anything else. Staff was super friendly and the place was clean. Loved the colors and the overall vibe of the location. My friends loved their food too. Girls lunch....success!!

When we arrived the place was pretty empty, and the server was eager to help us. We put in our order to go and waited. But it does not end there, since we were waiting in the restaurant, the server brought us not only chips and salsa, but a few welcome drinks as well which were delicious. It was so kind of her to do that even if we were ordering to go. The food was also absolutely incredible. The tacos are $6 which originally shocked me, but once I got the taco I understood. They were very large, filled to the brim with rice and protein. I could barely get through one and a half. The tortilla is homemade and you can taste the quality.
