    16oz Prime Ribeye Steak
    Emely C.

I finally checked out Blind Butcher after seeing it all over TikTok and hearing so many good things. The ambiance is nice, dim lighting, cozy, and perfect for a night out. I ordered the 16 oz prime ribeye which was cooked well with a nice sear and good seasoning. It was tender and flavorful, and overall a solid steak. I also tried the lobster truffle mac and cheese which was good but didn't stand out as much as I expected. The Caesar salad was actually really great fresh, well-balanced and one of my favorite parts of the meal. The highlight for me was the Butcher's Old Fashioned super well-balanced and easily my favorite thing I had. Service was alright friendly and smooth overall just not especially standout. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. While it didn't completely exceed expectations it's still a beautiful spot with good food and drinks and definitely worth trying for a nice, low-lit date night vibe.

I've walked by this place for years and finally recently dined here. From the low quality food to poor service, my overall experience was a complete disappointment! For two people, we ordered the grilled prosciutto burrata, 16oz prime ribeye steak, and brussels sprouts. The grilled prosciutto burrata was disgusting, and we struggled to finish it. The prosciutto tasted like a drier and worse version of a piece of overcooked bacon. The burrata was low quality - dry and lacked flavor. The dish was drenched in dressings that didn't complement the ingredients. The ribeye was cooked alright but lacked flavor (and this is coming from someone who prefers less salty foods). For a restaurant that's supposedly known for steak, I was disappointed because I could've made a better steak myself. The cut of steak was low quality too, and some parts were difficult to chew. I would've expected a more tender piece of steak. The bathroom was a bit of a disaster too. The toilet seat wasn't even nailed into the toilet! I almost fell off while using it. Service was inattentive and bizarre. At the end of the meal, the server asked if we wanted another round of drinks even after we had already kindly asked for the bill twice. After the meal, we both agreed that this place isn't ever worth coming back to.

This place is quaint but so cute! The atmosphere is chill and everyone is so sweet! We started with bottomless mimosas which are served in a wine glass to the top, it was a very generous poor! My hubs had a classic breakfast and I had the ribeye Benedict. Everything was so delicious and really fresh! My ribeye was cooked perfectly and oh so tender. We're adding this to our usual SF spots because there was so much we wanted to try.

I came here this past Saturday right at opening and I have to say I'm very pleased with Blind Butcher. We just walked in, so we didn't get the best seating and got sat at a two person high top. It was a bit squishy and it is very toasty inside, but no complaints. It's cute for a date night or celebration with friends. The staff was so kind and accommodating. They made me strawberry lemon drops and let's just say they were amazing! We ordered the ribeye, mashed potatoes and truffle fries. Everything was up to standard, if not past my standard. I will 100% be back soon.

Went to Blind Butcher for dinner and it ended up being a really cute date night. The place has a dark, cozy vibe that feels intimate but still comfortable. Not too loud, not too formal, just a nice setting to hang out and enjoy the night. We started with the calamari which was a good shareable to kick things off. For mains we got the rack of lamb and the 16 oz prime ribeye, both cooked really well. The ribeye especially was super satisfying and full of flavor. We shared the tiramisu at the end and it was a great way to wrap everything up. Light, not overly sweet, and easy to share. Overall just a solid meal with a nice vibe. Great spot if you're looking for an easy date night.

Perfect date spot in the city, and then you can hit the bars nearby after! Its a win-win! The ambiance was beautiful, it was dark, sexy, and red inside, so a perfect dinner date to take your significant other to ribeye steak $76 9/10 - the meat here was cooked to perfection, I like it medium rare, and they sure cooked it medium rare. Their homemade chimichurri was to die for, I actually used that to dip all my veggies, potatoes, and even fries LOL truffle french fries $13 - i love truffle and i love fries, especially skinny fries. they had their house seasoning and spanish paprika for a little kick, this was the perfect app! I will say, they do have some extra fees due to it being an SF upscale restaurant, so it might be more expensive than you anticipate

Came with a group of 4 for a friendsmas celebration and had the best time. The inside is dark and vibey and the drinks are delicious. We started with a spicy margarita and a dirty martini, wow STRONG but yummy and had truffle fries to snack on while waiting for the rest of our party. Once we sat down the service was quick. We ordered the short ribs, stroganoff, burger, pasta and burrata. Everything was delicious! The server was so sweet putting up with our crazy table. Definitely check it out if you're in the Castro.

I used to like this place, but it just keeps getting worse. And they have hidden fees added on bill. Check out this micro chicken sandwich for $30

Came here for dinner and between 2 people we got their Brussels sprouts, truffle lobster Mac & cheese, 16oz prime ribeye steak, and wagyu beef burger. Their ribeye steak is tasty and loved the chimichurri sauce paired with the steak! I also enjoyed how they cooked their Brussel sprouts. I thought their wagyu beef burger was dry, I would recommend ordering this dish. The Mac & cheese was delish and cheesy, I wish it had more lobster in it. The ambience here is great for date night. The lights are dim. The cocktails were also good here. I'm glad I tried this spot out.

Really cute little place! The decor on the inside is great and we were intrigued from the looks of the outside too. We got lucky on a busy Sunday night to be seated within a few minutes at the bar. Our bartender/server was great and I liked hearing the banter with the other bartenders. We got drinks, oysters, the octopus, brussel sprouts and the goat cheese. The stand out was the Pistachio Goat Cheese. Omg!

Made a reservation for 2 on a Friday at 6:45pm. Ambiance is very date vibe, pretty dark inside. Ordered Brussels sprouts, calamari, ribeye steak, and the lobster Mac and cheese. Brussels sprouts were very good, loved the dressing on top. Calamari, they give you a lot but the sauce was just ok. Would've enjoyed a tartar sauce to go with it as an option. Ribeye was perfect, had many spices to dab on and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The lobster Mac and cheese was ok. Wish it was creamier, more of a thick powdered texture cheese on top of noodles.

My son's 9th birthday dinner. First time here and we absolutely loved this restaurant "

We celebrated my son's 9th birthday here for the first time and had such a lovely experience. The food and atmosphere were amazing, and our waiter from Serbia was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. He really made our night special " Definitely coming back!"

The pizza almost tasted stale - someone mentioned it is supposed to be like that but I've had pinsa a few times and that was not my experience. The pasta was pretty good - a red sauce. Nothing special. Meatballs also solid. Somehow my pasta came up 12-15 mins after everything else's food which was entirely confusing but oh well. The wine was good. I was not a " stranger who walked from Haight street to your premises. Make no mistake about it. The scope of trust and honesty is more valuable and important than the scope of ice cream . At the request of my daughter and my grandmother we went to the ice cream bar this last Wednesday, taking to account we have been customers for the past 10 years on and off , we would drive from Marin just to have the ice cream there . We have seen employees come and go including Managers. Since my kids went to Grattan school. At times I personally like to pay for things in cash . We know most customers about 67% would pay by credit cards. To make a long story short. I wanted to pay my bill in $100 bill . Brand new , undamaged and straight from Wells Fargo bank. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer. I will not recommend this place nor go black to this ice cream place.
