roasted trout steak with vanilla white butter sauce, grilled prawns

A cute little restaurant close to Notre Dame and the River Seine! If you sit at the front of the restaurant, you can get a view of both and during the summer, they leave the front open so that you can enjoy the fresh air and the view even better. The staff were friendly and professional, offering us recommendations and giving us a great table despite not having reservations. Our grilled prawns and roasted trout dishes were both beautifully plated, delicious, and healthy! We'd definitely recommend it for dinner. Portions are on the large side so we ended up not needing the cheese dessert plate, but each cheese included on it was great.

The restaurant is located right across from Nortre Dame. My friend found a special deal on prefix course for lunch which was 29 Euro a person. For me, it came with beef, 15 Escargot and chocolate mousse. All were really good and incredibly priced!! The prefix menu was not on the printed menu. When my friend asked for it, turned out it was written on the board - so ask for it if you want this deal! The staff were nice and friendly. He also spoke some English because that was helpful for me!! His English is way better than my French!! Lol!

This is probably one of the best restaurants/high quality foods that I have ever eaten. Super amazing. Most definitely quality over quantity. Not big portions like the US. But definitely a quality that is on another level than most places you've been to. Definitely a more romantic spot to bring a date to if you want to have a romantic candlelight dinner. It's definitely that type of restaurant with that kind of ambience. FOOD: What can I say? Definitely superb. We started with the Foie Gras and Clams. Both were unlike anything I've ever had. Amazing. The clams were perfect texture and well seasoned. The Foie Gras. Best I've ever had. I then got the Shrimp with Risotto. All I can say is wow. Wow again. Whoever made this dish hats off to him. Or her. This dish was perfectly flavored. Not too salty or bland. But just right. Words don't describe it. And the portions were perfect. Not too big not too small. No wonder the French are so thin and in shape! Then dessert. Omg. THE BEST Creme Brûlée I've ever had. Seriously. And Creme brûlée is served everywhere. This is unlike anything I've ever tasted. It wasn't sweet but it wasn't bland either. Just perfect is what it was. The service was also perfect. Two servers were working the whole floor. They were very professional and attentive and we never had to ask for anything. Wish I got their names. Highly recommend dining here especially if you're bringing a date. Not the first date though. Maybe a third or fourth date.

The service was great and the food was delicious. Order the prefix for lunch and it was 29 euro. The prefix is the special for the day and it's not on the menu so when you arrive make sure to look for the daily special or else you will get the regular menu and you be missing out a great deal. Lunch is up to 3pm and close till dinner time.

Le Reminet was Awesome. Waking distance from Notre Dame's cathedral we found this little place. It is only like 10 tables big and has only 2 waitresses which is plenty because they are really good and on top of their game. This elegant, refined and charming restaurant is putting out picture perfect food that you only see in magazines. It is on the expensive side of the restaurants in the area but it is well deserved. Service is impeccable and flavor and presentation could not be better. If you are super hungry or if you like to have big plates of food... this is not the place. Very little plates delicately prepared and plated with lots of color and every little item in that plate has a purpose to entice your palate. We had things from the chef's daily menu and also from their regular menu. A lobster appetizer in between a crunchy cracker with creamy avocado and quinoa/Couscous mix. (Very good) The fish of the day, Perch fish which is a very soft white meat fish cooked to perfection and presented with dry apple chips... excellent. And from the menu ... their lamb loin. All delicious. You must have their cheese course at the end... their choices and quality of cheese is wonderful. This restaurant deserves to have a spotlight. It is romantic, charming, good wines, excellent service and food... what more can you ask for a night in Paris.

3.5* all around. Make a reservation at thefork.com to get 50% off your meal. However, you need to order appetizer/dessert with your main course to be eligible for the discount. Still a great deal, but we were already full from the main course so we didn't really enjoyed the desserts. Foods are pretty tasty and service is good. We ordered: - beef cheek w/ foie gras - duck Can't remember the name of the desserts since we weren't planning on ordering them, but they were descent. They gave us an amuse bouche as well(asparagus soup) that's pretty good.

Excellent food and service from Le Reminet, we were slightly late due the traffic, but the staff was so nice to confirm we still have our reservation. The food was excellent and super tasty, the dessert was marvelous. Recommend

Beautiful place to eat dinner - very authentic and well prepared. We ordered the menu gastro. For 69 euros per person. Ravioli was good but needed a bit of salt, the soup was delicious. For entrees I chose the tuna steaks and other fish dish off the menu. Cheese selection was good - choices were aged cheeses done out in the open. Dessert was also spectacular! You can also choose to dine in the bottom floor which is located in a very intimate cellar. Also it took us 3 hours to finish our meal so don't come here until you have time

We had a very late dinner and closed the restaurant down. It was full of guests upon our arrival.

A beautiful evening in a higher caliber traditional French restaurant. We sat in the basement which was elegant and sexy. No one does basements like the Europeans. Our waiter was stuffy at first but he warmed up to our humor and even gave us an additional desert which is a true rarity in Paris, we enjoyed him very much. The tables were lovely, complete with silver and roses. Our oysters were clean and fresh, soups, lobster and steaks were delicious. Our daughters fish was cooked and flavored superbly. The starters were fresh and unique, lovely desserts. The wine selections were very good. For our daughters first real French meal, we couldn't have been much happier... I believe we sang along the river on our walk home.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

We split a very fairly priced bottle of wine and ended the night with the scoop of mousse. If they could figure out how to do that intravenously, that'd be great. The mousse reminded me of a great guilty pleasure, which is eating straight out of the can of Duncan Hines chocolate frosting (ask me how I know, I do this often, going to rebrand it to me being European). No real plans. Just walking. Cigarette smoke in the air, scooters passing narrow streets, old stone buildings glowing under soft afternoon light. Online, this place feels impossible to book. But show up 10-15 minutes before opening and suddenly you're seated like you knew the secret all along. Inside, the room hums. Tight tables. Warm walls. Loud enough to feel alive without becoming chaotic. Nobody rushing. Nobody flipping tables. Just the rhythm of Paris doing what it's always done. The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room.
