    Outside of the quaint restaurant

My husband and I ate here for lunch on a Tuesday and were not disappointed! As tourists from the US, the staff treated us incredibly well and everyone was so kind. Our server and all of the waitstaff were friendly and accommodating (bringing us a menu in English as well)! When we were done, our server called us a cab to pick us up outside. The service was outstanding. When we were seated we got chicken pate with fresh bread. We got the "red meat salad" and chestnut soup for starters. We then got the beefsteak and potatoes and wild boar casserole for mains. For our dessert I got the cheese course and my husband got the sorbet. Everything was spectacular and delicious! The restaurant itself was quaint and welcoming. The decor was classic French and you can see the collection of nutcrackers if you look around. We recommend this restaurant and also wonder why it doesn't have a Michelin star! Superb!

One of my favorite meals in Paris and our last meal. We had a reservation right at opening and the restaurant was empty (6PM). They kept getting calls about walk ins and numerous people tried to walk in - they were all rejected. So if you wish to come here, make sure you make a reservation! The servers knew English and even provided us English menus along with a chalkboard that showed the daily specials in English. That was super helpful. The only knock I have is that we asked for Sparking water and instead got still water (and you have to pay for water). The menu changes often, so I'm not really going to go into it much. But the food was great - I don't really think you can go wrong here. Be careful of your entrees, however. For example, my husband got a boar dish thinking it'd be cooked but it was a boar pate type dish with figs. Although it was good, those dishes are not for everyone. Additionally, you can ask for butter for your bread if you don't like the pate that it comes with and bread refills as well. Everything we had was tasty and my fish cost a few extra Euros, but ti was a pretty hefty amount of fish. Loved the desserts - perfectly balanced and tasty without being too sweet. 39 Euros per set menu with some choices costing additional euros. Overall, worth the trip to come here! We also walked back to the metro at night and passed by the Eiffel Tower on the way while it was lit up.

Our VRBO property manager recommended this restaurant close to our apartment ... I messaged ahead of time to make reservations for dinner the same day. Pros: - excellent value for prix fixe meal (entree-plat-dessert for 39 euros) - menu and specials available in English - beautifully plated food - food was overall delicious (highlights were the veal appetizer, beef entree, and chocolate "tarte" dessert Cons: - outdoor dining seemed a bit makeshift; plastic white chairs with not quite enough space for our table given the plantar boxes - service to take our order seemed unusually slow; only one waitress was able to take orders; the other two waiters could only serve food - most of the patrons seemed to be American surprisingly - need to make reservations; walk ins were turned away

Best meal we had in Paris. Food was very balanced, service was amazing and quick. Everything was very very good. And the pricing was VERY reasonable. $100 euros for dinner for two with two drinks and an espresso.

Delicious food and great value! My husband and I went here on our honeymoon in France. We both ordered the "multi choice menu" that comes with an appetizer, main course, and dessert for €42. We both started with the chilled tomato soup, which was an excellent version of a gazpacho. For main courses we had the tuna special and the tomato farcie (tomatoes stuffed with beef). Everything was excellent and for only €42 it was a good deal, especially compared to all of the tourist trap cafés near the Eiffel Tower. But they are still friendly to tourists. I speak French but my husband only speaks English, and they asked us if we preferred an English menu.

Extraordinary! Loved everything about this place. The service, the ambiance, the quality of the ingredients, the menu options, the friendly environment, all! I would go back a hundred times if I could. What a wonderful job chef Pierre is doing at this place. The only thing I would add to make it perfect is background music. 5 stars well obtained! See my pics for better reference.

one of the best meals I've had in pairs.. and that's including a two-star Michelin restaurant! an incredible meal from start to finish. the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect. the environment was casual (which i liked) and was really comfy and homey. the menu is relatively limited, which is pretty common in France, since everything is very fresh. it's a prix fixe menu for a great deal! i think it's 39 euros for an outstanding meal, including a starter, entree, and dessert. i decided to try a lot of the specials that cost a couple of extra euros but were so worth it. everything i had was delicious. the veal chuck (special), which i would never try, was outstanding. even the rice pudding, which is typically a boring dessert, was made to perfection. i could go on and on, but you really just need to try it yourself! it's a meal I'll be talking about for a while and can't wait to go back to Paris to have it again.

Of all the places we dined in Copenhagen and Paris, this place was my husband's favorite restaurant. I also enjoyed my "chef's special", as they kindly made vegan accommodations. I told them I would be happy to try anything that they can easily "veganize" from today's special. Starting off with their bread (and chicken liver mousse that came with it), each plate was a pleasant surprise!

Took a short hike from nearby Pullman Hotel to this place, and it happens to be our last dinner outing here in Paris so I was like wishing and hoping for some amazing food...and so it was! For starters, grilled scallops in creme sauce, yum! Main for me was the roasted shrimp with risotto, yum! While wife had the pork filet in bbq sauce, (tastes like adobo) yum! To finish, banana 'nille fevilie' with ice cream, double yum! Had to pay a few Euros extra for the grilled scallops and roasted shrimp but well worth it! My assessment does no justice compared to pics, so just check out the pics I posted and you'll relate sure enough!!

Absolutely amazing...cute little spot near Eiffel Tower. Mushroom with poached egg was one of the best apps I have ever had. The dinner was well Prices 35 euro for 3 course menu. But the topping on the cake was literally the dessert. Honestly we might go back before we leave for that rice pudding. it's amazing

My wife and I were visiting Paris for our Honeymoon. She made reservations here and BY FAR best restaurant we've been to. The food, the service and overall experience was great! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area, most definitely a must try! P.S be sure to leave space for dessert!

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

As a Chinese, I understood more than 50% of the conservations (Chinese). Which doesn't mean anything about the food. Just observation. Onion soup - 2 stars. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.

They brought bread immediately (my husband loved the sliced baguette--it was perfect and chewy as it should be, but not hard). We ordered a bottle of wine, a Macon Villages, which was perfect. I had the cucumber salad appetizer, which was so fresh. My husband ordered the ravioli appetizer--tiny little rectangles in a scrumptious sauce--a work of art. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate. The sauce was amazing and it was a huge portion of tender white fish. My husband had the lamb with frites. It was nicely seasoned & perfectly done. For dessert, my husband enjoyed a chocolate treat and I had refreshing raspberry sorbet. Deborah was so friendly and solicitous throughout the meal. I have never felt so well taken care of. (I have seen some comments from people who are unhappy that they can't just walk in. They don't appear to understand that there is only one seating. People arrive when they do and they linger. Empty tables seen from the street do not mean the place is not fully booked. Make a reservation well ahead of time. It is worth it!)

We were seated at a table facing the smaller street with IKEA City. Not much people-watching happened given shops were already closed in the evening and thus less people shopping on the streets. We ordered the croque monsieur and croque madame. The difference between the two is that the croque madame comes with a fried sunny side up egg. This was heavy but so yummy! The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.
