    Souffle trio underbaked
    Wendy B.

Came here as I was looking for souffle, UGH unfortunately our souffle was underbaked, very liquidly, I was very sad about it and u satisfied. Crawfish appetizer was very good, cheesy and buttery. Sweetbread Pie was just fine, wish they heat it for longer, I feel like sweetbread doesn't taste good if it's lukewarm. Chateaubriand with Moral Cream & Fries - very good, perfectly cooked. When it first came out I was like, this looks way too overcooked, but then once cut, the inside was perfect. They really know how to cook their steak!!

We had such a delightful and memorable experience at L'Auberge Bressane. Even though we don't speak French, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive to every guest. The restaurant itself is charming and cozy, which added to the experience. We started with the famous soufflé, which was delicate, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. Even though it looked huge, I easily finished every bite. For mains, we ordered the Tagliatelle with Morels, Bouchée à la Reine, and Quenelles de Brochet comme à "Nantua." Each dish was creamy, buttery, and full of flavor. To finish, we shared three mini dessert soufflés, with caramel being my favorite. Every dish felt carefully and thoughtfully prepared, and everything tasted wonderful. While this is not a budget-friendly spot, the price was well worth it. I can honestly say it was the best meal of our trip to Paris. They do offer an English menu, but it doesn't include pictures or detailed descriptions. If you are not familiar with French cuisine, I recommend looking up their dishes on Instagram or Yelp beforehand so you have a better idea of what to expect.

This is such a cozy lunch spot. I went here with my mom and her friends and we had a lovely 2 hour lunch as the French do! I wasn't starved so I got escargot and a side salad. They also brought out bread for the table which was perfect for my escargot! The escargot was so buttery and garlicky, just delicious. I also tried my mom's tagliatelle with morels which was lacking some salt but otherwise pretty good. We also shared a bottle of champagne because why not, and my mom and I shared the chocolate soufflé to round out our meal. It was so rich, and the chocolate was dark and delicious, not too sweet. We also ordered decaf espressos which were a great compliment. The only negative (if this even counts) is the bathroom is TINY and only has 2 stalls - 1 for men and 1 for women, but it's so small you can barely turn around.

Okay, yes it's very much a tourist destination, however that's not to say the food, service and atmosphere aren't great, it was! We throughly enjoyed our visit. As I said the restaurant is filled with tourists however we were seated among locals and enjoyed their recommendations. I did feel slightly rushed as they seem to turn over tables quickly, I would have enjoyed a little more time at the table.

Auberge Bressane was perhaps the most unique of all the restaurants I visited in Paris: This restaurant near Les Invalides feels like it has not changed since the mid-twentieth century, when soufflés and food served en flambée was considered the height of distinction. (How retro? The table beside me had a dessert I'd heard of but never actually seen in all my years: Baked Alaska, known in France as "omelette norvégienne," served en flambée.) The tables are covered in charming custom jacquard cloths with roosters and the restaurant name on them, and everything feels very "old country manor." When I visited, I was the only non-French customer, and yes, I indulged in both the soufflé entrée and dessert. In between, I had the chicken suprême with morels -- I normally abhor mushrooms, but I ate everyone with gusto here. Also, the bread served here was the crustiest, flakiest, and hands-down best I had in all my time in France.

It was my first time in Paris, and I wanted to have traditional French cuisine. I passed by this cute restaurant on a walk and checked it out on Yelp. I knew I wanted to eat here based on the reviews. I was so sad that I couldn't get a reservation because it was all booked up online. I decided to get there right when they opened for dinner, and they were able to pencil us in for 9:30. Our server was the best server we had during our stay here in Paris. She recommended the Champignons Farcis au Poulet as a starter. It was to die for! Our entrees were delicious as well, but the starter was so rich we could hardly eat the entrees. We decided to still try the soufflé because the reviews raved about it. We shared a beautiful pistachio soufflé that was cooked to perfection. Overall, between the tasty food, top tier service, and cute ambiance... I give this restaurant 5 stars. When I come back to Paris, I plan on eating here again.

Made a reservation exactly 30 days in advance(when they start accepting them) as we had only one free day to experience one of our favorites. We arrived about 30 minutes early and there was not problem. They had a booth reserved for us and it was perfect. It was toward the middle the restaurant and I could watch all of the beautiful plated of food being served. We ordered a lot of food for us as we usually order only two dishes and share. So, we started with Escargot and a Green Salad, followed by White Asparagus served with a chopped egg and a vinaigrette, and a Comte Souflee served with a small side salad. All of this to be followed with a Trio of Mini dessert Souflees. All were absolutely delicious but a there were a few standouts... - The Escargots were amazing. And although I ordered only six some were smaller so there were two in a little pocket of the dish...so I got about 11. And I guess I was lucky because I like the small ones better. - The White Asparagus were huge perfectly cooked. The vinaigrette was the best of the three week trip. There is just something about the flavors of the asparagus paired with the chopped egg and vinaigrette that make it pop. - The Comte Souflee was melt in your mouth delicious. It arrived and it was a beauty standing tall about 3 inches above the rim of the dish. - The Mini Souflees arrived and we were in awe. Three little beautiful sights. Which one will be the winner? We selected the Grand Marnier, the Caramel, and the Pistachio. We tasted and talked, tasted and talked...the winner was a surprise to both of us. It was the warm homemade caramel one. And it was the winner of the whole meal. Service was perfect. We had the same person that waited on us a few years ago before the pandemic. She is now the manager of the restaurant. Congratulations. Can't wait to return. Recommend a reservation.

    Our feast!

How perfect for our first night in Paris!! We tried the chicken in mushroom sauce and the chateaubriand which were both delicious. The mashed potatoes were sublime and the haricots verts crisp and fresh. My favorite was easily the profiteroles.

Uuuuuuhmazing. I came here on a friends recommendation. Everything was amazing and the tables around me looked amazing. I had the chicken and the caramel souffle. I highly recommend both. I also really enjoyed the Pinot blanc from Alsace. Oh and the bread was

The secret should be out - this is a fabulous restaurant located in the heart of the 7th. On a Sunday night, our second in Paris, we were stumbling about. A good friend recommended a spot named Bistro Stella, but it was a long subway ride away it appeared and there was a tad bit of jet lag still lingering about us. So I decided to roam the streets of Paris, and it didn't take long for me to realize (1) most restaurants are closed on Sunday and (2) my efforts to read a French menu and distinguish between good and tourist trap was futile. I needed Yelp, and activated international roaming. Well worth it. Within seconds, I located L'Auberge Bressane, and it's excellent reviews. I walked by, and it was 7:30. There were zero patrons. So we continued walking, taking in the sights and smells of Paris. It was now 7:45. Two patrons. Keep walking. Finally, at 8:00, and with two tables of two seated, we walked in the front door and were promptly greeted in French. We smiled. They politely showed us to a table, after confirming we did not have a reservation. Who would have thought that by 9:30, half the restaurant would be filled with a bustling clientele of tourists, locals and American celebrities (who shall remain unnamed). It was really one of the most charming meals I had in France, and it was hands down the best soufflé I have tasted in my life. I started my meal with Sausage lyonnaise, sausage served with potatoes and herbs and stuffed with pistachio. Served warm, the warmth of the sausage combined with the soft potatoes and the cool herbs was a blockbuster combination. Times I've eaten something similar in the USA? Zero. Really a wonderful starter. I had coq au vin for my main dish, served with macaroni and a deeply condensed sauce. Sitting alongside the flavorful mushrooms were three big chucks of slow cooked rooster. Times I have eaten rooster before this? Zero. Loved it. My wife had a puffed pastry stuffed with two types of mushrooms, sweet breads and herbs. My wife had never eaten sweet breads before, and she ate the entire meal. Except two bites, which were for me. This was a delicious dish. For dessert, we split a chocolate soufflé, and it was simply incredible. Never in my life have I had a soufflé that was so soft, so flavorful and so light

A fantastic dining experience in Paris. Wonderful, attentive staff that addressed our every need and question. Started with the cheese soufflé to share with the table. Great beginning btw. Our group had various entrees. Tagliatelle with morels. Scallops with garlic. And veal chop with mushrooms. All delicious. Ended with the chocolate, Carmel and Grand Marnier soufflé trio sampler. Great wine list and help from the staff to work through it. A "can't miss" dinner option in Paris. Small place so make reservations.

    Massive veal chop!

I didn't have French onion soup until this meal, so I was really looking forward to it and it did not disappoint! The beef bourguignon soufflé was absolutely delicious as well and packed with flavor. The soufflé Grand Marnier was a perfect end to our meal, the liqueur added a nice alcoholic taste to the soufflé and is a great addition if you're looking for just a bit of alcohol in your system. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.

The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged.
