Had a great time at le peep, while the wait was a bit, it was definitely worth it. I personally ordered the siracha fried chicken sandwich and dirty chai latte. The siracha fried chicken sandwich was pretty good. The cutlet was fried well, while I could taste the siracha, it was't particularly spicy, but thats okay. Their fries were surprisingly great, would definitely suggest. Loved their drink selections, while I got the dirty chair there's over a dozen different selections you can go. Would definitely suggest eating here with a nice beverage. Servers were kind and the place is bustling and quiet busy. However there is plenty of parking at least. read more

Ate here on a late Monday morning while on vacation. There was no wait for us and we opt to sit outside at one of the 3 tables they had. Honestly, there isn't much shade and parking lot isn't much to look at.. so the outdoor seating isn't great. Inside seemed nicer and I almost wish we chose that instead on a hot late summer morning. The service and the food were both really excellent. I got the Tater Tots Benedict Skillet and a hot pumpkin spice latte. While the latte was good, the skillet was a game changer. Highly recommend you order the skillet of your choice since they have many options. Pricing was awesome for the portion and quality of food. I love me some good breakfast spots and today I did enjoy. Walked in and was greeted promptly and seated. My waitress also greeted me right away as I was seated at the table. I had to take a few minutes to look over the menu because there was a lot to choose from. Once I made my chooses the food was out in no time. Le Peep definitely gives me a First Watch vibe and that's okay with me because I'm a fan of them lol. A beautiful brunch restaurant in Edison. Fast and friendly service. Everything we ordered was delicious - Egg benedict, waffles, garden omelette, plain pancakes and beverages. They have pretty good options for pancakes and waffles however I ordered and LOVED their plain pancakes - very fluffy and not too sweet, just how I like it. I also got the Hazelnut Latte in regular milk and am definitely going back for more. They do vegan milk options. Best part is you can make a reservation online on the day you are planning to visit and you'll be able to get LIVE updates on the number of reservations ahead of you. The online reservation will show an estimated time when your reservation will be ready. Pretty cool!! Plenty of parking space since it's in a shopping complex right on Route US-1. I went to Le Peep on a Saturday morning around 10:30am. It was very busy. I checked in online and used the online waiting list on Yelp and I was 35th in line for a party of 2. We waited for about 30mins and got a text that our table was ready. I would recommend that on Saturdays and Sundays to check in 20-30mins before your desired seating time so you don't have to wait too long. Thankfully it was nice out today but I'll remember to do this next time. I ordered the Wanderer Skillet with over easy eggs. My friend got the West Coast Skillet (not pictured) with over easy eggs and she really liked hers too. I will say that the skillets are big portions and I had to take my leftovers home. However, everything was really great and the service was really fast considering it was busy. One thing to point out: you apparently can't use the 10% off from the Yelp check-in on weekends. That was kind of a bummer but not a big deal since our meal was a little over $30 in total. I always enjoy my meals at Le Peep and will definitely be back soon for the fall specials! read more

The place is nicely decorated, the hen picture for women's restroom and rooster for the males adds more to the whimsy on the peep theme, but unfortunately the food fell short. The grits needed flavor and was not creamy and unctuous like I expected. The shrimps were the extra small ones not really what would be on a main dish. My friend had Crab Cake Benedict and was underwhelmed by seeing the crab cake with a thick layer of batter in sight and no crab meat. I did like the little plate of cinnamon apples that my friend gave me from her platter. Our waitress was super nice! She was very busy but when my friend ordered a Chai Latte and didn't like it, the waitress offered her another choice! I had a quick taste of the Chai Latte and if you are not a fan of spicy with lots of cloves, then avoid it! The extra star is for the clean, well decorated place and waitress. I am so happy to be so close to this AMAZING breakfast spot! Food was delicious and service was very good. I especially appreciate that they allow you to join the waitlist for a table on Yelp. The wait on a Sunday morning was ~60-90 mins. I joined around 10am (when I was still at home) and arrived to the restaurant a little after 11:30am. It is so helpful that the waitlist feature tells you around what time to arrive because once you're at the top, you only have ~5 mins to go to the hostess stand and claim your table. The menu is so extensive that it was pretty hard to decide what I wanted to order out of so many good-looking options. I went for the Dawn breaker egg scramble which was very yummy. My only complaint was the potatoes -- they were just okay. They also have shredded hash browns which I might try next time. Speaking of next time, I'm very excited to come back and try pancakes, waffles, French toast, and more egg specialities! The ambiance matches what you think of for a little breakfast spot. It gave me similar vibes as the breakfast chain First Watch (which I'm a fan of). They didn't have too many tables inside so I see why waits can be so long, especially on weekends. read more

I absolutely love this place! I came here with a friend for brunch, and it was an amazing experience. The waitress we had was super friendly and helpful. Whenever we were stuck between some choices, she gave us some great recommendations from her own experience. I ordered the West Coast Skillet and I got the Tres Leche French Toast to share with my friend. So filling! The West Coast Skillet was so delicious- it had so many different ingredients like avocado, mushrooms, potatoes, cheese, etc. If you like hot sauce, I would definitely recommend adding that to the skillet because the extra spice paired nicely with everything. The Tres Leche French Toast was very delicious as well. If you don't want yours too sweet, I wouldn't recommend adding the maple syrup because it can overpower the taste of the other sauces that are already on the toast. I liked mine without the maple syrup because I could taste the strawberries and caramel better. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back again! Now I will say that if you have yelp your best bet at not making a long line is taking a look at their wait times and assessing how soon you should wait in line through the Yelp app. Otherwise, you will be waiting for upwards of 90 minutes if you just expect to be a walk in. Want to know if you're the kind of "peep" that eats at Le Peep? Read on. I went on New Year's Day. Super crowded. (Pro Tip: Put your name on the Yelp wait list before arrival.) I think they stopped taking walk-ins at around 1PM. We almost didn't get a table last time because they were sooooo busy. The wait staff performed admirably under the circumstances and were plenty congenial, however in the end, service was lacking due to staffing shortage. Had to order grapefruit juice because the tap water tasted funny(I'm looking at you Edison Water Utility.) Invest an extra dollar on the waffle fries to upgrade from the basic home fries. Ended up booking a loss on this trade as they were not as fresh as I wished they would be. Felt as if they were done and sat idly on a plate while waiting for the eggs to plate. However, the Dawn Breaker was hot, steamy and delicious. Can recommend! Unfortunately, I had to accept rye bread as they did not offer multigrain. The dining room felt cozy and comfortable for a weekend brunch hangout. Because I was here on an exceptionally busy day, I believe the quality of the experience could have been better. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! My fellow yelpers recommended this place for a good breakfast, and I am super happy they did! The service, food and atmosphere were all amazing. I stopped by one day for brunch and there was no wait at all. The hostess was friendly and welcoming and happily showed us to our table. They have inside and outside tables but we opted to go in. The staff all wore their masks properly and did their best to not seat people close together. Each table has a carafe of water with lemon which was refreshing to drink as we decided on what to order. The food was amazing! I had some the best pancakes ever, and I seriously can't wait to go back for more! The dawn breaker was a tasty egg scramble with cheese, bacon, onions, peppers, fresh mushrooms, diced tomatoes and scallions. It comes with a side of toast, and a nice size portion of well seasoned breakfast potatoes. You'll be sure to have a good breakfast here that won't break the bank! The building sits at the end of the shopping center and appears to have been a former IHOP. They earned points from me when i saw that each table had a decanter of iced water with lemon! The coffee was served in a carafe so that you could replenish your cup at will. I decided to try the special Lobster Omelet. No fault of theirs - but I have memory of a fantastic, fresh Lobster Omelet that I had in the late 60s in a small fishing village in Mexico. That omelet was thin and wrapped around delicious chunks of lobster and sauced with a homemade tomato sauce! THIS was NOT THAT! This omelet was fluffy and, to be sure, there were some shreds of lobster meat in the center. Cheese, a tasty Hollandaise Sauce and few slices of avocado completed the dish. Of course there were the ubiquitous "home fries" and an English muffin. The service was good and I think this is a nice local place to have breakfast or lunch. If I pass this way again, I'll consider having a meal. I thought that this was a local, independent restaurant and I just read that it is part of a multi-state chain. For starters, this place is a neighborhood favorite in Edison and its always packed on the weekends. This place features breakfast and brunch items and has a diner type of menu which is extensive but not as much as what a diner would offer. If you've come here for fine dining, this isn't it. This place is a lot of potatoes and a lot of brunch style skillets with potatoes on the bottom, cheese, meat, and eggs on top. I have no problem with this however the execution of the food was only okay. On the bright side when you order a coffee, theyll bring you the entire carafe of coffee. The decor is also fun, featuring a lot of chicken (LePeep) and chicken based artwork. Now to the food: 1. Gooey Buns - English Muffin with a cinnamon paste and slivered almonds on top with some warm apples on the side. This simple dish is usually delicious and I will admit that this dish was okay here but the cinnamon paste is a little gritty. The almonds were delicious and not stale. The apples didnt really make a lot of sense and didn't go with the dish. 2. Tater Tots Eggs Benedict - This should have been delicious but it wasnt. The Tots were fine on the bottom but they were very underseasoned. The bacon and the cheese made it very greasy and a lot of the bottom of the dish just tasted like the grease. To make matters worse the hollandaise sauce was broken. On every dish, the hollandaise was broken and the sauce is on a lot of items they offer. Its a bad sign when they offer it on a large portion of their menu but cant get it right. 3. Chicken Fried Steak - I really wanted to like this dish however it was kind of a miss. The potatoes on the side were bland even though they looked like they had herbs and seasoning. white gravy was lumpy and flavorless and the chicken fried steak was not great. The meat was processed strangely and tasted weirdly smooth inside of the hard fried batter. The eggs were prepared well and were over easy like I ordered them. None of these dishes were well executed but I loved the idea behind them because all of it sounded delicious but it ended up just okay at best. read more

I want to start off with, the girl who worked this day was super nice!! I arrived with my sister and told her that we were a party of 3, but my husband was meeting us there for his lunch break. She sat us regardless of him not being there & didn't make us wait long at all. So 10/10 for customer service My husband and I grew up in Edison and went to this restaurant growing up and it definitely changed since the last time that we came a couple years ago. The French onion soup was beyond bitter. I get that the onions need to be cooked until darkened, but I could not even finish my soup. Tasteless and bitter. Overall, the rest of the food was fine, but I love my French onion soup and that's WHY I couldn't give my experience 5 stars.
