This is my second time here and I never leave feeling over stuffed which is amazing. The service is kind of spotty at times but they are very kind. Season 52's Edison location has been a trusted, go-to restaurant for my family for the last 10 years. The ambience and decor is top notch - you get to have the feel of an elegant/upscale restaurant, without super high prices. The food has always been consistently flavorful and cooked to perfection. We've tried every single appetizer and flatbread throughout the years, and for entrees, our most popular repeat orders are the cedar plank roasted salmon, the wood-grilled pork chop, the wood-grilled rainbow trout, and the rotisserie half chicken. Knock on wood...but we haven't had an issue with *any* of their dishes, not even once! We always come here for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, since they take the time to put a little decorative sign on the table for the occasion, they give you a voucher for a free appetizer or flatbread on your next visit, and sometimes they'll throw in a complimentary round of small champagne glasses - it's customer service done right! We strolled in on Tuesday night around 8pm. We were seated immediately. The dining room is definitely darker than most so I could use a little more light. Our server came over rather quickly and offered beverages. My husband loved his old fashioned. We ordered 2 gf crust flatbreads and the caramelized Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were so delicious. The pepperoni flatbread was superior to the chicken pesto one. Both were good but I prefer the pepperoni. For dessert, the only options are mini jars with cake. Lemon blueberry was seasonal while others are standard. It tasted fine but nothing special. I love how the menu changes with the season and features fresh options. For example, summer featured corn and I bet fall will feature squash. You'd never know this is a chain. Definitely give seasons 52 a chance. read more

I'm just writing this review 6 weeks later as I found the receipt my bag and felt a review was deserving. What an experience, what a terrible, terrible experience. If this is upscale dining by Darden, they've gone downhill and are very, very far from what Capital Grille offers. To make this review short and sweet my wife, brother-in-law and daughter came in around 8:00 p.m. for a couple drinks and a snack. After finally realizing something is terribly wrong here, I spoke to the GM, Chris, and told him what was going on. We hadn't received water an hour into our experience, we were never even offered any bread. I'm sitting here a steak and butter knife drinking a glass of Caymus and feeling like I am being ignored in the ghetto. The runner, Jessica, as pleasant as she was, was forced to drop our food on an extremely cluttered and disorganized table with empty glasses from the first round. There was zero attentiveness on the part of anyone for our entire experience. After speaking to Chris, we were finally brought some glasses of water and what I remember to be possibly pita bread or flatbread with rock hard butter. Towards the conclusion they offered us some tiny desserts on the house, which we politely declined. Nothing was discounted, there were no apologies. Such a beautiful place with a welcoming atmosphere to be thrown to the wolves like this. The roasted mushroom flatbread is so fresh and I love the creamy goat cheese on top. For the summer season, my go-to was the corn flatbread with juicy bacon on top. The sharper cheese on that one really hit! The cedar plank roasted salmon is a simple, but yummy and always well-cooked dish. The potatoes are surprisingly flavor and I love that they serve this with a dill-mustard sauce on the side. When I tried the filet mignon, I was wowed with how juicy it was. Their mini indulgence desserts are super cute and perfect for one person. Sometimes I get the Belgian chocolate s'mores one, which has the cutest presentation. Our server, Kathleen, was absolutely delightful, attentive, and helped guide us through their menu. The food was fantastic. They make a point of everything on the menu being below some number of calories. So items are delicious, filling, and balanced. The water with lemon was refreshing. The flatbread was like a taste of pizza and a great shareable. The lobster bisque was flavorful and a great addition between the appetizer and main. I went for the grilled scallops with risotto and asparagus. The seafood is wonderfully fresh and the main was a great serving size and tasted great. The scallops were harty and the risotto smooth. Decent place next to Menlo Park Mall, we got seated right away. We decided to dine here since we've been passing by for some time now on our way to the mall. We got a salmon dish and a chicken dish, both of which were good but a little salty. Service was awesome, Caitlyn was our server, and she was friendly and attentive. I drive past this restaurant often and have never been interested in dining there but a friend of mine wanted to have dinner here and I reluctantly went. Let me tell you, Seasons 52 is one of the most unique restaurants I've ever been to. They change their menu four times a year to correspond with each season, most of the entrees are between 400 and 700 calories, the service is absolutely outstanding, and the food tastes amazing. They also have happy hour form 3p - 6p. Their happy hour is until 6:30 and is amazing! My favorite thing to get here is their flatbread with wine tasting! You try 3 wines and pick the one you want for a full glass to pair with amazing flat bread. I highly recommend this place for romantic date nights, get togethers or happy hour! The restaurant itself was huge, and there were many options for seating, including a good number of booths. The dim lighting also added to the cozy atmosphere. The Caramelized, roasted Brussels sprouts tossed with Applewood smoked bacon in a 15 year-aged balsamic glaze was amazing. For a chain resturant this was anything but a chain. People tend to go for occasions it seems and were dressed up. The service was quick and professional. The food was good, the meat was cooked well but the Mac and cheese was pitiful. It tasted and looked like box Mac with crispy bits sprinkled on top. For the price I would have expected better quality sides. I also do not like their dessert cups, also expected better dessert options for the ambiance/formality they try to present. . The plating of the food was nice however. | Great Food, Even Better Staff I had a wonderful experience at Seasons 52. The food was delicious, and the customer service was top-tier from start to finish. Beautiful establishment with low lights for a romantic setting. What truly stood out, though, was how the staff--especially the manager--handled a very tense situation with grace and professionalism. As we were finishing up, a woman attempted to enter the kitchen area by mistake. The hostess politely redirected her to the correct location of the restrooms. Instead of following the directions, the woman walked toward the other side--still toward the kitchen--and ended up slipping and falling. Since it was closing time, the staff had started cleaning, which made the floor understandably slick. The woman and her husband became extremely irate, loudly blaming the staff, particularly the hostess, for the incident. They refused any explanations or help, and even threatened legal action. What impressed me most was the manager's response. She remained calm, respectful, and accommodating throughout the ordeal. She offered several forms of assistance, apologized sincerely, tried to help the woman up, and even provided her information when asked. Despite being met with anger and refusal, the manager continued to handle the situation with incredible patience and professionalism, even helping the couple out of the restaurant. Afterward, she came to our table and apologized for us having to witness the incident--something she didn't have to do, but it really showed her commitment to creating a positive dining experience. It's easy to deliver great service when everything's going smoothly--but it takes a true professional to stay composed under pressure. That alone earns Seasons 52 five stars from me. Been to this location numerous times and had a fabulous experience however today's experience was so bad I would never return. Service was 0/10. Our server Roksolana wouldn't even let me speak and had an attitude from the time we sat at our table. Simple questions we asked about the entrees were reciprocated with an attitude response, which made no sense. Didn't think too much of it maybe she's having a bad day, our apps were good despite having dirty cutlery they the experience got a lot worse when it was time for our main course. My steak was super dry and completely overcooked. Tried to flag her down for 20 minutes not to complain just to get some A1 sauce so I can still eat it but when she came 30 minutes after my course was delivered, she had a complete attitude and didn't even let me finish My statement, took my entrée and left and never came back. Flagged down another waitress spoke to the manager. I was trying to explain at this point. I don't want another steak. I just want my check and to leave and she literally wouldn't get it. I also tried to give her some feedback you should let your guests explain/speak and she literally yelled at me. I came here with the large group I dine with monthly. The ambiance is beyond relaxing and beautiful. Because we were a larger group we were seated in an alcove with curtains covering us. The added privacy was really nice. The servers come to this area to create the checks but it wasn't bothersome at all. I was definitely left wanting more and might choose this as part of my meal on my next visit! For my meal I ordered the filet mignon, it comes with mashed potatoes and a type of broccoli that has taller stalks (maybe broccletti?) I asked for the braised red cabbage instead of the mashed potatoes. The filet mignon was tender and had a red wine sauce and mushrooms. The braised red cabbage was a tad sweeter than I would have preferred and I didn't love the golden raisins but it was still enjoyable and my friend who had never had it before really liked it! I tried her Brussel sprouts and they were delicious. Then, you are offered the infamous shot glass desserts! What a presentation they make. These are a lot of fun, small enough so you can sample 2-3 if you are in that kind of mood, or so you can end on a sweet note without feeling sick from too much food! I opted for one dessert- the key lime which was great and just enough. I tried my friends Oreo and it was really yummy, I might get that one next time. When I arrived, I gave the name of the person who made the reservation and was directed to the table where a few other people had already been seated. Once everyone arrived, we placed our orders. I got the cedar plank salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. This restaurant is definitely a good choice for people who are being a little more conscious of what they're eating. My mom and I wanted an espresso martini after doing some shopping and Cheesecake Factory was nuts, super packed so my mom recommended Season's 52 because it's close by. We were seated right away at the bar and the interior was nicely decorated for the holidays with red bows and glowing lights all over. Our bartender/server was so kind and friendly. And then we decided to split their filet mignon and lobster tail and had the kitchen split it in half.
