As to walk in it's a tradition diner look but it actually reminds me of California vibe I don't know why'd. Salad was very good, the kids burger and platter was huge and very yummy also, my 6 year old loved it. Even though the salad portion is big I was so hungry I actually finished it. The prices are very reasonable especially compared to the current economy. Staff and waitresses was very friendly and helpful. I see why it's a local favorite and I will rerun soon. read more

I've been here a few times in the past, and always liked it...but for some reason, I haven't been back in ages! Well, given that I scheduled a haircut next door at Planet 21, decided to try them again. Surprisingly, given the pandemic, the place was quite busy...and though they attempted to social distance, the restaurant was more than 50% full. Thankfully, all the diners, as well as wait staff, were wearing masks. I ordered one of their Specialty Crepes, the "California Crepe". I remember ordering this more than once, but here we are again! As always, it was good...though a tad bland. I asked for some hot sauce, and that made a huge difference. I wish they used Chicken instead of Turkey (not a Turkey fan). I love how this comes loaded with a ton of mushrooms. Also, a ton of small, cubed potatoes. Can't say that this is the most delicious meal you'll ever have (especially if you crave a ton of flavor?), but this dish is very generous and affordably priced. Decided to try this spot for brunch and it was kind of disappointing. The reviews varied for this spot but I thought I would check it out. It is located in the Aborteum Shopping Center beside The New South restuarant. I love cornbeef hash so I ordered the Irish Benny with cornbeef hash along with peasant potatoes. Unfortunately, the cornbeef harsh was overcooked (aka crunchy). I removed the cornbeef and just ate the eggs benedict and potatoes. It was disappointing not being able to eat the cornbeef hash. The potatoes were okay. Parking: Plenty of parking is available in the shopping center Outside seating is available ( around 4-6 tables) Service: The staff all wore mask, the restuarant was clean and the seating was setup for distancing. We came at the perfect time on Sunday morning, it got really busy around 10:45/11 am. Service was decent until we were ready to checkout. The person at the front was also taking takeout orders over the phone and serving as hostess to groups that entered so we had to wait a little longer even though there were other employees standing in the front. Decent serving sizes. We will be back! Veggie - I liked how they had a few more options than many of the restaurants in the area for breakfast. I was especially excited for a Benny! These Bennies were a little different than others I have previously seen in that they are served with cream cheese. The Harvest Benedict was yummy and I was able to save the second for leftovers. The potatoes were perfectly cooked in my opinion, but I wish they had some seasoning. The latte wasn't the best, it just tasted like coffee and milk. Yum! This is a busy breakfast spot in the aboredum Shopping center. There is plenty of parking. It's small on the inside. The seating is close together the food is good. The decor is a classic cafe style. The staff are friendly and they typically have a wait as they are popular. It doesn't take long to get your food. I miss Le Peep. My church group would go here after church to eat l. This place has alway been consistently great. I came here because I missed the food, and this place has not missed a step. The food was delicious and plentiful. The omelet was a special order but without missing a step the waitress informed me that it would be done per my order. The omelette came to me as ordered and was mouthwatering good. The biscuits were fluffy and soft. The gravy was thick and rich. She was apologetic and seemed genuinely caring, but we still could have used some more water and coffee. One of our party got breakfast and enjoyed her selection, My wife and I both got lunch with different panini selections. I selected the shitake mushroom one, but when I took a bite I found mushrooms that looked like they came from a can and a single slice of ham (was not in sandwich description). I was already eating it, was hungry and there was no one around to flag down, so I didn't say anything. This bustling little European flavored restaurant is a local favorite. I love the festive bistro-like vibe and can understand its popularity yet personally have found the food and service to be just average over the years. In spite of that, I still seem to enjoy it a little more each time I go. Before today's breakfast visit, it had been almost entire year since my last. My wife and I ordered the Italian and Mediterranean crepes, which ran $8 each and included golden fried potato cubes as a side. The serving sizes were generous and the crepes were masterfully crafted - very thin with the perfect amount of golden browning - and beautifully plated. The filling of the Italian was a bit dry; however, the Mediterranean filling consisting of diced chicken breast, spinach, onions tomatoes, feta cheese and black olives was quite good. In fact, I would order it again. We also enjoyed a couple of specialty lattes that were tasty, artistically created and very reasonably priced at around $3 each. In the past, I have also tried the the 18 Wheeler, a simple breakfast combo comprised of Challa bread, two eggs over medium, two bacon slices and potatoes. At $9.25, it was a little pricey for breakfast, however, most everything was nicely prepared especially the skillet golden browned potatos. The Challa bread, which is just a fancy name for thick French toast, was just average at best however (as was the coffee.) Service was very good and sanitation grade was an impressive 98 and is consistently in the high 90s. Of course the dining area was packed as usual. Again, although I don't love it, I do seem to like it a little more with each passing visit; that and readily available BOGO free coupons pretty much guarantee another meal there soon. With this review, I am also upgrading them from 3 stars to 4 for the first time; however in actuality, if Yelp allowed such precision, the new rating would be 3.75 up from 3.25. read more

Another old Charlotte classic down the drain. Food and service are finally in the crapper. I went several times since the pandemic and there was always a problem and I kept hoping they would pull it together. Unfortunately this week they messed up again and the servers didn't speak enough English to help me and had to forward me to management. Management didn't have "the ability" to help so they forwarded me to ownership. I thought for sure the owner would take care of a loyal customer and make things right but sadly ownership failed. I don't recommend Le Peep to anyone any longer. You run a strong chance of something running a foul and when that happens no one cares enough to fix it. read more

Ok, I really enjoyed Le Peep! We stopped by around 9 am on a Sunday and were seated immediately. I would describe the environment as a friendly upscale diner. They had several coffee drink specials listed at the front but I stuck with my usual black coffee (boring, I know). The menu is huge and it really was not just your average breakfast menu. I chose the pesto spinach breakfast sandwich which I cannot recommend enough! They start with two slices of buttery toasted sourdough spread with feta cheese and pesto, then stuff it with avocado, spinach scrambled eggs, and I added tomato because that's just the only way. I did sprinkle some salt/pepper but other than that, I really enjoyed this sandwich! If you order grits, please top them with cheese and thank me later! My fiancé ordered a scramble was a really generous portion but I just loved the light freshness of my breakfast sandwich. I would absolutely go back here! read more

Upscale from the usual diner breakfast, this was solidly delicious with great service and great food. After reading the reviews and the tips, I chose the pancakes, which came with bacon and an egg. Bonus points for being able to poach it and as well for the bacon being cooked just the way I like it - not burned and crispy but cooked through. And the pancakes? Excellent. Thick and fluffy and tasty. Coffee was good. Served with a carafe so I wouldn't have to wait for a waitress to notice my empty cup. Why don't more places do it this way? read more

At checkout, the cashier pointed to the fine print and said that I had ordered a tea, but since my daughter ordered water, they weren't honoring the coupon because the fine print on the coupon said that you also had to order two drinks.
