Came in on a holiday looking for a basic breakfast. They have a huge menu that can be a little intimidating if you don't know what's on it. Everyone was very friendly and after we ordered we found our seats. Food came out and everything looked like it should have. Honestly nothing special about it, just a good hardy breakfast. I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. We tried it for the first time this morning and loved it! I ordered two eggs scrambled with cheese, sausage patty and home fries and the home fries were honestly the best Ive ever had! The potatoes were soft and SO flavorful! I didn't even use ketchup like I usually do. My husband had the French toast and it was also the best I've ever had! There was a bit of a wait to order at the counter, but we did go on a Sunday. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but my daughter and I were practically dying of hunger so we popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. The best part is they are also bilingual in Spanish making me feel at home. Since the restaurant is in a shopping center, there is a vast amount of parking. They have delicious large breakfast plates. You order when you walk in and take a seat and wait for your meal to be brought to your table. Seating on the outside patio is also available. read more

I ordered the biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were stale and hard. The water had a very heavy mold taste!

This was the best little hidden gem. The Village omelet was great. I will definitely be back to try other items.

Had to pop into the UPS store around lunch time so I yelped something good to eat and landed upon the Village Grill. Had no idea what to expect and I couldn't really see inside from the parking lot. First impression was that this place was full. It was full of old people but still, full on a Wednesday lunch. Placard at the front read the daily specials: pork chop or mushroom swiss burger and fries. You order at the front and take a number much like Showmars. I asked the girl behind the counter what was good and popular. She referred me back to the specials. The menu on the wall was extensive but tiny and I didn't have my glasses on so I went with the burger special. I was alone so I sat at the bar. Thankfully the television in front of me was on ESPN unlike the one farther down that was on the news. About 15 minutes later, my food arrived. This was massive for a lunch. Burger must have had a full jar of mushrooms on it along with the standard veg. additions. Fries were crinkle cut and had a nice dusting of seasoned salt. Everything came out nice and hot. Oh and there's also free wi-fi. I would definitely go back. Note that they serve breakfast all day but that it closes at 2:30. read more

We went here for a Sunday breakfast. They have great outdoor seating. When you get here you go inside to place your order. Then you find a seat, the staff brings out your food. Love the Village Grill! Much like McAlister's Deli, you go to the counter and order your food, get seated and within a few minutes you have your food. And there is a lot of it! My second visit here, previously breakfast, this time lunch. I am officially a fan. Today I had the rueben sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. So darn good! And plenty as to not keep you wanting more. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and the fries were sprinkled in brown sugar with a side of honey mustard in lieu of ketchup. Since this place is in a small town (relatively) the service is what I like to call home grown. Real polite and genuine. They make you feel at home. Decor isn't anything to really write home about and the only thing that is a turn off for me personally is the way you have to order and then find your seat. Silly, but I just prefer to have a full waitstaff experience when I go out and spend money on a meal. Either way that's not enough to keep me from coming back! read more

Really enjoy eating here. The folks are friendly without being "perky" or "pushy". They offer any kind of food one could want except for pizza( not sure about spaghetti): American food, including breakfast. Seating and parking have been adequate. Some outdoor seating available and it has shelter over it! Yeh! I usually get a salad with tuna- even though the only tuna on the menu is a sandwich, they had no problem just giving a scoop on my salad. Hubs usually gets the special- something with fish or chicken with good country vegetables. He almost always cleans his plate! They also have burgers and other types of sandwiches. Salads are very good. The only thing I don't like is the fact the bathrooms are close to the tables and booths where folks are eating. Other than that, it is quite homey and clean. read more

I was here recently and left my jacket, keys and hat along with my food as I used the bathroom to wash my hands . I returned from the bathroom and found my food gone . I asked the waitress what happened , she replied I thought you left " . I can't comment on the food because I never had a chance to eat it !!!!!!! Your mom-and-pop type place. They have some very loyal regulars here. They have a pretty extensive menu for small shop and there is plenty of parking. This spot is pretty much down the street from the Monroe mall. As soon as you enter you are greeted and should probably have your order ready if you get in line. They move quick here. On the wall you will find several schools represented so if you don't see yours they will welcome your school with open arms as long as you bring in the banner yourself. I had chicken wrap with the fries I like the wrap, but the fries were a bit soggier than I like. This is definitely a place to come to for a burger or fried shrimp. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I wonder if they give a discount to first responders because that's all I saw here- lol. Had a great experience enjoying breakfast at Village Grill with my family. The food was reasonably priced, served in large portions, and was of pretty good quality. Best service possible, we were checked on multiple times and coffee refills were plentiful. I had the Village Omelet with feta cheese, and it was delicious. I got the hash browns as a side and they were very crispy but had no seasoning or flavor. My mom got their home fries though, and they were amazing, seasoned with Cajun flavors and had a little kick. My boyfriend got the French toast and it was so good! Definitely better than the pancakes, which were okay but corn-meal based, which just isn't my preference, some people may like it! The only area where I see the restaurant could improve on is atmosphere, maybe add some light music playing or some more modern touches of decorations.
