My meal was delicious, however the restaurant was trashed. I guess they can't fine enough employees and just had their lunch rush. The used tea at this chain makes the trip worth it. I love the oversized cups. It's always freshly brewed and just strong enough. The combo deals are my favorite where you can choose 1/2 sandwich, salad or soup. I was there at 4 p.m. so no problem with immediate service. I ordered the beef sandwich. Lo and behold, rare thin sliced beef, just the way you expect from a deli. The sandwich was not especially large but it tasted great. I will add more horseradish sauce next time. I had the potato salad side and it was well seasoned - not too much mustard. It came with a dill pickle. Being a Yankee, I asked about liverwurst, raw onions and rye bread. To my surprise they did not have any of what we would call Jewish deli items. You don't have to be Jewish to love their food. This place also had some giant cookies and other sides so you could have a compete meal. I noticed a DASH station nearby - assuming they have a permanent Dash person for deliveries. I will definitely go back, esp. if I have a load of people at the house I need to feed in a rush. Came on a weekday for lunch with a large party at the request of the person we were celebrating. They were able to be accommodating to the large party. They have a shared lot with plenty of parking. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the place was clean. I had the grilled chickens sandwich with barbecue spud chips which was filling and tasty. My eyes were bigger than my stomach when ordering and I got a sugar cookie. This was a nice treat later in the day. The lobby area where you dine was clean. I enjoyed my visit. I will try them again. Ordered a Smokey Pepper Jack sandwich and took a bite and there was paper in the sandwich Apparently, the paper that separates the cheese was never removed. WTH Called the manger David and told him what happen and he informed me that it was the paper from the cheese. "Like I didn't know that" He gave us an option to bring it back for a replacement or he could mail a gift card We wanted a refund over the phone but that was not possible This was definitely not a customer service recovery call in my opinion. He didn't seem to be that concerned or alarmed of the fact that I was eating paper My wife took it back and again there was no clear apology for the issue. Last week my son and I went to McAlister's and had an excellent Ruben. Tonight my wife and I and two grandchildren went back and again I had another Ruben as did one of our grandchildren. It was awful. Both our Ruben were cold. We sent them back then it was hot on the outside but still cold in the middle. It didn't taste the same as the last time so I opened it up and and there was next to no sour sauerkraut you may as well say there was none. When I asked the girl about it she said that's they they make them. Because of my grandkids I didn't take it any further. I love a good Ruben and I was highly disappointed. Obviously the day time cook knows how to make a sandwich but not the night time cook. The only reason I gave three stars was because the time before it was good. read more

Absolute worst experience today. I purchased a pick two at lunch (Half Savannah Chop salad and Half Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich). When I got home and unwrapped my sandwich, the bread was burnt. I called the restaurant and was told I could bring it back. I explained that my lunch break was over and that I could not come back right now. The manager advised that I could bring the Sandwich h ba k after work and they would replace it. I took the sandwich back after work, and the manager looked at it and said it's not burnt, so I told him that it's not to my liking. There was no apology for my inconvenience or anything. Went inside to let them know and asked for more, they gave 2 Small Butters and 1 Sour Cream SMH! You need at least 5 Butters and 2 Sour Creams for each Baked Potato. + they gave us ZERO Napkins. As expensive as their food is, you would think they would not be SO Greedy and give enough condiments to accommodate each order, NOPE! Our 2 Large Salads only had 1 Dressing each. Absolute worst customer service. I always get great service at McAlisters....besides this one. Discovered my to-go order was completely wrong when I got home, so I went back and politely told them my sandwich was incorrect. The cashier looked at it and had them make me a new one. Get back in my car and realize they had correctly re-made my sandwich but only gave me a half when I had paid for a whole and it had half a piece of meat on it. The cashier didn't say sorry for the mixup or even acknowledge me barely, just plopped the new bag on the counter and walked away. It's a shame that one store can ruin an entire perception of a chain but I will never set foot in this store again. read more

First off don't go on a Sunday after church! The so called Christians come in the door and stake out the large tables before they even order, so if you are with a large group of adults skip it and go to a place that doesn't do the self seating thing. Now to the food, I got a French Dip with chips and a pickles. The sandwich was cooked perfect, the chips where from a bag and the pickle seemed a little old. I really enjoyed it overall except for the table saving. UPDATE District manager contacted me regarding my review. Order to go curbside pick up I called let them know I was there girl brought my food she said make sure you check it because they are always missing something. Ok I checked my food realized the dressing for me and my fiancés salad isn't in there also my spud max only has cheese and bacon on it and no sour cream for the shareable nachos so I got out of my car went inside and they charged me for the sauces they forgot get home and there is hair in my sons food and the cookies we got were the size of a quarter . I came here with my niece for a quick lunch on a Friday afternoon after getting Manicures and Pedicures at across the parking lot. You pay first, take a number, seat yourself and they bring your food to you. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I ordered the Ruben. It just wasn't the best Ruben in my opinion. It satisfied my hunger, but that's just about it. On a separate occasion my niece did bring me take out and it was the club. Usually with a sandwich as whole I prefer the Ruben over the club, but in this case the club won. Its was actually the king club with double the meat, double the cheese, everything was on point with this sandwich. However when a deli can't nail my favorite sandwich it leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth. Will I return? Absolutely but it will be for the king club. read more

Horrible customer service. The employee who helped us at the register (it's her first day on register) has zero personality whatsoever. We are done eating at the moment and she has looked at me several times. I know she knows we are finished with our food, but she has yet to come over and acknowledge our finished plates. My friend (and a gentleman from another table) had to get up to get more drinks. An employee who was about to sit down to eat helped my friend get a refill. No one has even come over to make sure nothing was wrong with our food. And I found out McAlister's doesn't sell the Magic Brownie Bars anymore. I'm so very sad about this. This used to be my favorite restaurant! We ate there last Sunday. Make sure you check your salad. As I was eating mine a spider came out from under the lettuce. Needless to say I was completely discussed. They wanted to fix me another one my husband said No Way!! We were with friends they stopped eating their salads. This has really disappointed me. This isn't the first time I've come to this restaurant. Each time I come and get a to go order, my order is always wrong or missing something. Today I ordered the Delux Nachos to go. I ordered extra tomatoes, green onion, and regular onion. I didn't receive any of the extras that I ordered. The nachos comes with avocado as well. You can't even cut through the avocado nor is it fresh, it is brown. I live 25 minutes away and drive to this location because it is the closest. This is a tough review to write because I LOVE their food and selections and when they are on, it's the best lunch in Monroe. Having said that, service is incredibly Hit-or-Miss. You'd think they'd figure out that they are busy on week days for lunch. Plus, they push the order ahead but never have a dedicated person for that counter for at least lunch hour. Heaven forbid you have a large order, some of the staff will make you feel like it's an inconvenience that you are dropping a lot of money with them. It's been this way for years and through various managers, so I don't know if they just have a menu or format that can't handle volume or what. Also...if ordering from the website, be careful because some stores don't have some of the items on the website and you would not know unless they call or when you get there. Corporate needs to figure that out. Nonetheless, I keep coming back because the food is good and not completely unhealthy, and can still recommend them for a good lunch. read more

An Irish deli? Why not? The pastrami on rye was worthy. My wife did the choose two menu with a turkey sandwich and a veggie spud while I augmented my choice with a cup of veggie chili. Ok, so glad that we returned for a second chance, since this is our local McAlister's. We got the Southwest Cobb which was perfect-5 Stars and I tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap. I think it was well made, just maybe won't be a favorite of mine. But it was moist and the wrap was rolled tightly and to perfection and it was definitely a thumbs up. The service was good and the restaurant clean. The middle row of seating is impossibly tight and servers bump you when they walk through, because there is literally no space between the one side of seating and the other. So, just make sure to sit on the bench side,not the chair side. But you will still bump people as you thread the needle to get in or out of that spot. The restaurant was large and we will def return and sit in one of the outer seating areas. Thank you for the yummy grub and a better experience! read more

I come here often on my work break. It's always has been great up till now. Lately the food is inconsistent and the service is slow. The Mac cheese was watery and cold today. Once I found noodles in my tortilla soup. Not sure what's going on at this location but everyone looks like they running around crazy. I hope they figure things out soon .
