And now we discovered that we can get their fish on a "Mini Meal" menu, which is essentially a kids menu for grownups without the bitchin' and screamin'! Tender, well prepared, and portioned for our palletes, it's a bargain, IMO. In the neighborhood and desiring to keep the belly full and the calories low, give the Mini Meal a whirl. sanitation grade has been low for months now. Last time we checked was 92 . We had go in the place to find that - it was not listed anywhere else on any site . Please do better. we used to love this place. Good food, appeared clean, wait staff was cordial and helpful. And it consistently displayed a good to great sanitation grade. read more

Pretty tasty! Ate alone and got the gyro plate. High expectations, as I used to work at a delicious Greek restaurant. Gyro meat and tzatziki was great. Fries were okay, not my favorite style of fries. Employees were amazing! They were so friendly while ordering and even come around to your table to check if you need anything. read more

I did not receive utensils nor napkins with the order at Drive Thru. Why not? Does a customer have to ask for it? That shouldn't be. If anything, the customer should be asked if they would like utensils and napkins. read more

Listen, I'm working on being a healthier me but still had to have fried fish, lol. I'm grateful that Showmars in Monroe gave me healthy options. I was able to select fruit instead of fries and slaw. The food was delicious, and I'll definitely be back. If you're looking for options, Shownars is it! read more

2nd time. I went wiht a friend who likes gyros. But not this one. The gyro was missing lettuce and sauce was something ok but not what my friend is used to. The lamb/beef innards was unappealing. On the positive side the opening hall shows a brightly lighted menu which is clear, concise and appealing. I wish more restaurants would do this while people wait in line. My meal was pretty good. I had been told the fried fish was excellent and it was, served with lots of french fries and 3 hushpuppies. There was a sauce, ok, but I would have liked more fish for my money. I guess that is a problem everywhere, people trying not to raise prices too high or lower quantity too much. I will go here again for the fish but not anything else. read more

Today was our second time getting food here. Today we ordered from the Door Dash app. The delivery came quickly and everything was exactly as ordered. I had the flounder sandwich which was excellent. I also added a small Greek salad which was good. My wife ordered the humus salad. It was good with a few different ingredients but it was a little bit smaller than I expected. read more

Randomly choose this place because I could walk to it from my hotel. I ate in the restaurant around 7 pm. There were 15 guests total. Standard Greek gyro was good, not knock your boots off, but very good. Greek salad was also good. Service was extremely fast, very friendly, and cheerful. Table cleanliness was good: a couple tables were dirty, but they could have just been occupied. Overall: solid pick if you need food fast. read more

I have never been to a showmars so I didn't know what to expect but after stopping here I definitely will be returning. The workers were polite and checked on us multiple times for refills. The food was also delicious and filled me up. 10/10 recommend if you want to make a quick stop for some great food. read more

The food tasted good, but me and my boyfriend felt absolutely horrible after eating. I even ended up throwing up in the bathroom. He had to stop the target bathroom because of his stomach. We both got the California pita. I don't recommend this location. read more

I have ordered from Showmars in Monroe for a long time but just recently started ordering through Doordash. I love their food it's always delicious but their doordash service is just garbage. For example I ordered 3 extra tzatziki sauces with my gyro platter and instead of getting that I get absolutely none. I don't know if it's hard to read a ticket or what the problem is but it's like the 4th time in a row it's happened and it's getting old. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Portions were large. This is a place-your-order-at-the-counter-then-go-to-a-table kind of place, and the table service was good; they kept our drinks topped off. Gotta admit I hadn't been to a Showmars in years and was looking forward to it. I had always ordered the Souvlaki dinner (chicken, potatoes, salad) but instead got mystery meat over a bed of practically uncooked rice and charged separately for greek salad. I walked in to place a take out order but was only addressed until I stood at the cash register for about 5 minutes. A guy who appeared to be a floor manager and a bus person were both standing in an aisleway watching the NBA game and blocking people who were coming in & out of the bathroom. Then this gem of a teener walks up sucking soda out of a straw. Seriously, she only stopped long enough to ask me some awkward questions and then the cup & straw back to mouth. She feebly asked if I "wanted a drink with that" and I said "I think you got that covered" Won't be returning which is a shame as this was a joint I frequented weekly in Charlotte (S. Walked in last Saturday, stood by the "please wait to be seated" sign for 15 mins while 4 employees walked by us and the kid at the register facing us stared out into space aimlessly. We were the only ones waiting and the place was not full at all. Got tired of waiting and being blatantly ignored by the staff so we left. No food to review on this trip. Last time I ate here, the food was decently priced but very bland and greasy. The staff here always seems disconnected and not very excited to be there at all. So the wife was craving fish and it was a Friday so her logical choice was Showmars Fish Friday. Apparently, half of Monroe had the same idea. This place was packed. Line out the door. I'm not even kidding. So we waited about 10 minutes in line, then ordered, found a table and proceeded to listen to my wife brag about the fish. When it arrived, I had a full plate. Lots of fried fish, hush puppies, coleslaw & extra tartar sauce. Almost every thing's better with tartar sauce, right? The fish was nothing to write home about. Good flavor but not enough crunch for me but again I resorted to drowning my fish in tartar sauce. It went down just fine. I love the hush puppies but can you really go wrong with hush puppies? The wife wouldn't back down from her claim of the best fish around kind of like Sean May won't back down from a buffet line. the atmosphere is very positive and all the workers are very attentive and on top of things, the only issue I've seen is the manager Linda, she's always rude to the staff and never seems to be In a good mood. any interaction I have had with her just a very negative woman. sometimes think about driving a few extra miles to Matthews just to avoid seeing such a heartless person. if she's ever fired will return but definitely will think twice knowing she is there. read more
