Picked this restaurant from Yelp and it did not disappoint!!! Amazing!!! We had the street corn dip - delicious! Blackened Chicken Alfredo that was to die for and the best part was the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake!! Not to sweet - perfect amount of cookie dough that gave a cheesecake a hug!!! We stopped by last night for a quick meal before joining some folks for karaoke. They informed us when we sat down the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes so my wife opted for the club sandwich and I got the chicken tenders. Her club was huge and stuffed with cheese and meat and really good looking bacon. My chicken tenders were big and well cooked and the honey mustard sauce was excellent. Even with them closing in a few minutes we didn't feel rushed or in the way. They were attentive to us keeping our drinks filled and making sure I got a box to take my chicken home for later. So, I figured it was time to update my review of this amazing place. As I mentioned before, I'd keep coming back; and, true to my word, I'm literally there every Sunday for Brunch, grinning like I own the place while the staff (who are absolute gems, by the way) welcome me in. I've also stopped by for dinner a few times, and let me tell you, these folks don't miss. The food? Always fresh and delicious. The service? Fast, professional, and somehow still warm and personable. They've really built a fantastic team here, and at this point, I'm pretty sure I qualify for honorary family membership. Someone get me a name tag that says "MSB Cousin." I ran across this place to take my mom near her house on her birthday. The place is small but quaint. The service was great and friendly. We got the fried green tomatoes to start yum I got fish and chips and mom got beef stroganoff. For dessert mom had apple crumb cheesecake and I had chocolate cheesecake. Just a note the fried green tomatoes were so good I got mom some to go. Including drinks and nice tip about $87 I will definitely be back and highly recommend. This is a stand up place and very good for community . The food is excellent made to order and made with love. The service is excellent and outstanding fresh food. My mom requested a steak for her last meal as she was on hospice and this place made that happen for us, in the middle of the day, cut the steak up as requested, prayed for her and sent me with real utensils! Tried the Bistro out on a whim and we were really impressed. We come a few times a month now! The ambiance inside is a small, quaint bistro vibe and eating outside is a real treat. Service is amazing and the food has been phenomenal. Only bummer is having to go inside to register to pay instead of being able to pay your server which is fine, just kinda annoying. My wife and I decided to try a date night in Monroe and the Bistro seemed to have limited reviews that were mostly 4-5 stars so we decided to give it a go. I already knew what I was ordering after previewing their menu on Yelp. We ordered drinks then fried raviolis, Caesar salads and I ordered spaghetti & meatballs and my wife ordered the chicken parm entree. I enjoyed the fried ravioli and the red sauce had great flavor. The Caesar salad was good but the croutons were small square like the store-bought type. With that said, I did enjoy the salad. Considering this is an Italian style restaurant I was surprised that they didn't serve a loaf of bread with butter before the entree. I thought that complimentary addition was customary in a restaurant that serves Italian food. The spaghetti and red sauce was good but the meatballs were small and there was only 3 on the plate. There was more than enough pasta, but I would have rather enjoyed more protein and less pasta. My wife enjoyed the red sauce but she was not fond of the breading in the chicken parm. The chicken was more like a processed patty rather than what I expect in an entree of chicken parm. I enjoyed the limited meatballs with the red sauce and the toasted Ciabatta bread that came with the entree. I'm not sure whether my wife liked hers because she took most of the meal home to our son who seems to have 3 stomaches. She made a comment about the chicken not being what she expected. We both enjoy a good chicken parm. and when I tried hers it was the tendered chicken breast that we both normally enjoy. Next time I will heed my own advise and wait until a restaurant has an adequate sample size of reviews before trying it out. read more

Main Street Bistro offers a nice variety of Italian-themed cuisine that fills you up while not breaking the bank. Nice. We stopped in for a late leisurely lunch and were promptly greeted. Daily specials are on a large board so we each ordered one.  Afterall, if daily specials suck . . . well, why return, right? They didn't! The chicken in my wife's salad was fried perfectly and my mushroom penne was  delicious as well. After a couple bites the chef, Tom (whom we learned later is the owner), approached to inquire about his work. I stated the pasta needed more salt which he immediately agreed knowing how sensitive some diners are to sodium. A couple of shakes later and the dish sprang to life. I liked his attention to detail. Stopped by for dinner during the car show downtown. I ordered the salmon cake special but they were out but they had a salmon filet instead. They salmon filet was delicious!! Perfectly seasoned. Food was good, service was good...........but , I missed the notice on the menu that said 20% gratuity charged for parties of 6 or more. We had 6 people, 2 of which were my grandsons , one of which is 3 years old. So technically it was 6. My fault, but when I went to pay the bill no one pointed out the fact that a 20% Gratuity had already been added, in fact the card machine suggested as it usually does that I leave a tip. So I left my normal 15% tip. My waitress said thanks, still no mention of the 20 gratuity already added. I know all of this is my fault for not looking at my bill, but I still didn't like it. This is our favorite restaurant in all of Monroe. Maybe even one of our favorites of all time. The decor is adorable, such a vibe. The waitresses are so sweet and very attentive (it's always the same two ladies when we go and we usually visit for lunch). The food is incredible, I'm talking great. You can tell the chef truly cares about his dishes and they are packed with flavor and cooked with care. I also love that they prioritize fresher ingredients! My husband has a dairy allergy (I'm sure the chef and waitresses will recognize our order as soon as they read that part ) and they always take wonderful care of him making sure his meal is made and handled correctly. I also think the prices are reasonable and the location is great! This is THE place! read more

Despite the dining room having open ceiling and being loud (I wear hearing aids), the food is amazing! We had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The chicken in both dishes were cooked to perfection! The chef even came out to say hello and see how things were going. The waitress was super friendly and came to check frequently. Visiting from out of town, but this was a really nice place to have dinner. The grilled chicken sandwich was good, but a little plain. My husband had the blackened chicken Alfredo and honestly it was the best meal I've tried in a long time. We were catching up with friends so not paying super close attention; would have stayed longer if the waiter was more attentive, but assume they were just giving us space. What this place lacks in size makes it up with good service and fresh hot food. Pumpkin are was delish. Burger is big, juicy and piping hot. Fries are nice sized and crispy hot. The bacon on my burger wasn't the typical left over bacon, it was thick and freshly made. Perfectly toasted bun. Wife's blackened chicken alfy was amazing too. The sauce was not too thick and chicken was savory. If you like crab and mushrooms the appetizer offered here is awesome. The service was super nice from everyone. They forgot my 3.50 drink and displayed a very unfriendly attitude. When handing me my food they had a very unwelcoming attitude towards me. I was really disappointed with our experience. We walked in around noon and were told to sit at a 2-top which would've been awfully uncomfortable given how the table next to it was occupied. We asked to sit elsewhere and the associate was annoyed. The floor was very sticky & the table had been wiped but it wasn't very clean. My friend ordered the chicken salad and I had a soup and garden salad. Both were ok, but were given packets for our salad dressing (???). The soup was not good (chicken & rice). All in all not a place I'd likely visit again. Was hopeful as it's under new ownership. Perhaps it was an off day. read more

We are visiting the area from Fort Lauderdale Florida and we were looking for a good spot to grab dinner when we stumbled across your amazing Bistro! Our friends live in Monroe so we had a group of 10 people walk in with no reservation and we were immediately greeted by several friendly staff members who welcomed us all in like we were late for a family gathering. They proactively setup a seating arrangement for us and we were quickly seated and ordered drinks and food without delay. We all found something delicious on the menu and at first I will admit I was very skeptical because in my experience when a menu spans various food groups like Steak, Seafood, Italian, Burgers, Bar food..... etc.... Let me just say everyone in our party tried a different meal and they were all incredible! Fried raviolis to start were phenomenal and the red sauce was amazing! Tomato soup is an absolute MUST have! The stuffed mushroom appetizer was also incredible! Moving to entrees, I ordered from the specials of the day choosing the New York strip steak and added on a shrimp skewer accompanied by a baked potato and caesar salad, the steak was a perfect medium and the flavor was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and juicy! Members in our party also ordered the Meatloaf, Chicken Tenders, Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Alfredo pasta, and a Fried chicken salad. Everyone cleaned their plates!! The order selection gives you an idea of the wide variety and range of food options. The desserts we barely had room enough to eat the Apple Callodette which essentially was an open face slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and it didn't last long once it landed on the table! Throughout our amazing dining experience our waitress was super attentive, on top of her table visits and friendly. In summary, if you're looking for a great spot to escape the heat and gather in a family friendly Bistro for a great meal and excellent service make sure you don't miss this spot! Joined them for their inaugural brunch on Sunday, Sept. 3rd and we weren't disappointed. We arrived shortly after 11:00 AM to find only a few patrons dining but due to the exceptionally nice weather, we decided to dine al fresco at the outdoor patio area in front. Our server had only been "on board" for a couple days and was becoming oriented so we were patient while she learned her routine. I ordered the eggs benedict (one of my favorite breakfast options) and the preparation was excellent.There were six guests plus two children in our party so I won't describe each item ordered but all were very pleased and indicated that they would be returning. By the time we left the place had filled up so it would appear that it would make sense to arrive early. read more
