Well-crafted, naturally leavened breads and pastries w/ a rustic twist, exceptional service, delicious local coffee and all of the good vibes. I recently visited and picked up some pastries - a croissant, a pain au chocolat, and my fave: a kouign- amann. You know how your chocolate croissant never has enough chocolate? Virtuoso serves up the right balance of flaky, buttery, crackly pastry w/ a nice thin layer of chocolate that covers the entire base of the pastry - perfection! These aren't croissants are airy and light as they should be. Now to my fave - the kouign-amann with a twist. A buttery toasty laminated pastry similar to croissant but and filled with a creamy not-to-sweet egg custard that will make you swoon! It's like if a a kouign-amann and a Portuguese pastel-de-nata had a baby! #IYKYK They have a great variety of sourdough breads including baguettes, country loaves and some made with locally-milled whole grains. The coffee is locally roasted Enderly coffee. The record player spins cool tunes and the good vibes are off the charts. What a blessing to have this place in our backyard. Runs don't walk, y'all.

There is a lobby area with a few tables. Another side room with a Pac-Man console table. Then the small space where you can order your baked goods, coffees and teas. There isn't much space when the lines get long. Its a bit awkward to get in and out of the main store. But what you get in that room after making your way through the line is some high quality goodies. Some things I can't even pronounce. I got some flaky pastry with a custard filling. It was crispy, sweet and delicious. I also tried a few bites of a coffee cake made with ginger cream cheese and blackberry. My family loves this place and comes often. I'm from out of town so this might be a one and done for me. But it was worth checking out.

It was a whopping $17 - I didn't mind paying because it felt special but obviously that price would keep this from being a regular thing for me.

It wasn't until yesterday that I went to the shop with her to see for myself. From the outside, you see a house and there are three shops inside. The Uptown Tea Shop is in a medium size bedroom which has been converted to a little store. Here against the walls are nearly every flavor and types of loose leaf teas you can imagine. I typically like herbal teas and caffeine free teas and finding something new was fairly easy. There are also tea accessories such as canisters to keep your teas fresh. The prices I found to be inline with the quality of the teas. The customer service associate was polite, helpful and welcoming; needless to say I will be supporting this small business in the future.

Next time I'm trying the lemonade, it comes in these mini buckets and looked super refreshing with a bunch of flavor options.
