This little spot is a great way to start you morning, we ordered right away Witford the kiddos and the. For us 8min later the food was out and it surprised us because it wasn't not busy, the food was overall pretty good the only thing I didn't enjoy is the sausage... it's definitely a crumbled sausage mash together in a patty form but tasted awful, everything else was good, also the water in the bathroom gets EXTREMELY hot so beware.

I enjoyed a ham sandwich with fries today, and (not shown) a cup of the complimentary soup of the day (a delicious chicken noodle).

This restaurant has been a mainstay of the community for many years. I enjoyed a ham sandwich with fries today, and a cup of the complimentary soup of the day (a delicious chicken noodle). The service was excellent, and my server was very attentive. The interior is welcoming and homey, with murals of local historical buildings and photos of community leaders, past and present. You should stop in for breakfast or lunch sometime!

Well, I honestly have to say I couldn't wait to get home to write this one, guys...the food was pretty good, but not really $13 good. What got to me was the fact that they didn't want to give me a cup of ice because it was "not fair to them." They will give you the ice and charge for the cup...what? What restaurant will not give their customer a cup of ice? I would have given the food 4 stars, but not letting me have a cup of ice after I spent $13 and some change for the food that I had to heat up because it was only a little warm and they are too stingy to let me have a cup of ice! That brought the review down to 2 stars. Not fair to them? I am sure they made plenty of profit on the food that they can let me have a cup of ice. I even told them I would give them a cup to put me some ice in, lol, and boom-you won't have to lose a cup for your profit. Can't do that either? I didn't think so...that was just an excuse.

Really good home-style food! I had the hamburger steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. And the staff and waitresses were so kind!

Not the best place around for this type of food and price. Atmosphere is shaky and doesn't have that diner feel I'm looking for.

We were quickly seated and the food experience starts. You start out with complementary soup, we miss heard the selection and ended up with 3, lentil, lamb, and chicken. Owner stopped by and when we asked for guidance on best offering, really upped our experience. Add a squeeze of lemon to the lamb soup, YUM! Try the lamb, out comes a sample of deliciousness! Here try this sample of veg, double yum. I'll post the before we order pics and you'll wonder how we weren't full. We ended with wanting to sample EVERYTHING so we went the Eden plate. It's a bit of everything and says serves 3-4. We tried our best to eat more, but we had a ton to bring home. Plates are prepared to order so the pregame soup experience is beneficial. Think stretches before the workout. And, it gives time to the kitchen. When we came in the rush followed right behind us so a small delay on food but not enough of one that you noticed. The chef brought out the food and it was worth the wait. Grape leaves, veg, falafel, kabobs, shawarma and more. Yum, yum, and yes, extremely stuffed but happy! Long route to say, TRY this place out. It'll affix itself to your dinner rotation!

The restaurant itself looks like a renovated 1990s pizza shop, not a high-end dining space, so the tiny, presentation-focused portions felt pretentious and out of place. I left still hungry. Inside however they also have a market featuring lots of local products, and a sit down cafe serving up salads and toasted sandwiches. I came in here on a quiet Sunday afternoon and we elected to sit outside in their walled in patio area. It was a pleasant place to sit and our service was prompt and friendly. For my sandwich I chose the turkey chipotle bacon without the tomatoes. The sandwich tasted great and the bread was toasted nicely. If I have one complaint it's that for $14.00 I think the sandwich could have been a bit bigger, or maybe I was just too hungry because I scarfed it down in an instant! Still the chips that accompanied it were a good snack and I enjoyed my meal. This is definitely a good spot to grab a lunch, I wish I had more time and I would have enjoyed the opportunity to browse their market. Matthews has a lot of great locally owned spots and this is for sure one of them.

Bright, fresh, and it elevated every bite. The bread was toasted just right -- golden, with a little crunch that held up to the fillings without going stale or soggy. Portion-wise, it's dialed in perfectly for one person. Not too much, not too little -- you walk away satisfied without feeling like you overdid it. My only gripe? The sandwich is split in half, which sounds convenient in theory, but in practice everything starts sliding out the moment you pick it up. It turns into a bit of a structural challenge mid-meal. A small tweak in how it's assembled or cut could go a long way. Minor complaint aside, La Lima is absolutely worth a visit. The Tusan alone makes it a repeat stop
