Bad experience from the beginning. My family and I weren't greeted when we entered the store. Right away, we noticed a tall white male employee standing at a side table eating Bojangles. When we approached the front counter to order, the same employee walked behind the counter and put on gloves without washing his hands first. Seeing that, we immediately lost our appetite even though we had been excited to eat there. There were two female employees behind the counter. After deliberating, someone in our group asked one of the women if she was the manager. She replied, "Yes. Why, what's up?" We decided to leave at that point to avoid any confrontation. A sale was lost due to this behavior, and in this economy every penny counts. We will not be returning. I believe the owner should be made aware of what is happening in their establishment, especially regarding food safety practices. read more

I cannot remember the last time I was so disappointed in a sandwich. I ordered online both a Hook and Ladder and a Meatball sub. The Meatball sub, with its toasted bun, delicate meatballs, and tasty sauce is a repeat. My H&L was boring, nearly tasteless, and sparsely filled with meat. What? Bread--tasteless. Meat--tasteless. Cheese--tasteless. One would think I had Covid and lost my taste buds. Nope. The only thing I could taste was the mayo and onion. It's been a few years since I have visited any Firehouse Subs, and this experience has my "Give 'em a Whirl meter" dialing 911 with a four alarm problem in the taste department. I ordered a side of mac & cheese, A side of fries, and a cookie on the mobile app at 6:02 PM this evening at the Monroe, North Carolina location. It says my order will be ready at 6:15 PM. I walk in there 6:15 and nobody is there. I look on the rack and it is a Uber order. I just stand there for about five minutes and then a girl asked me what I need. She said they were working on my mobile order. It was 6:22 PM at that time and I added one more cookie to the order. I sit there at a table until 6:50 PM and you hear the girl that took my order screaming at one of the Latin young dudes that I asked his name and he wouldn't tell me, telling him that he has to tell me that the cookies are taking a long time so he comes walking over and laughs and says hey man, the cookies are taking a extra long time do you still want those type of cookies? I said yeah man I put that order in at 6:02. I just want the cookies that I ordered. He went back to the counter and grabbed a two day old brownie and literally threw it down on the table I was sitting at and laughed and said here's a brownie you ain't getting no cookies. First of all. I ordered two cookies. Why would you try to give me one brownie. Second of all I don't eat brownies. I don't want a brownie. Third of all what did you just say to me? He said he was a minor and that I look 50 even though I'm only 40 and to "not be trippin" So I walk up to the counter and ask to speak to a manager. Someone that is 18. That kid walked straight into my face so I started a video recording and he told me he is the manager and he is 18 even though he just told me two seconds earlier that he was a minor. I asked him what his name was and he just walked off into the back where he set off some alarm that called the cops there. The cops show up two minutes later and ask who set off the alarm. He told them that he's barely 18 and I'm a grown man and I shouldn't be questioning him about stuff. The two boys that are like his best friends that work there were sitting there lying to the cops saying I was being loud and so did the girl that was working there. They all deserve to be fired because they all lied to the police, and they brought the police into the situation and into my life for absolutely no reason. I had the whole thing on video and the kids didn't know it so cops look at the video and call the kids little brats and make them refund my money. Somehow, I was only handed three dollars and three dollars exactly, which makes absolutely no sense Because even the two cookies cost more than that. I was handed it by the manager Chad this actual adult that was nowhere to be seen for the first 50 minutes that I was there and comes out like a total coward at the very end to hand me three dollars. The kids earlier told me that the manager's name was Chet not Chad. When I questioned him about it, he acted real weird.The whole thing was totally embarrassing, and a complete waste of my time and money. This is the location that also made me purchase something to receive my free medium sub for my name being Mike, even though everywhere on their website, Instagram, X, Facebook, CNN, USA today, all say no purchase necessary, no catch! It doesn't say the only catch is whether it's a franchise or not. Lol. No, it says.."no catch". The kids in that place are just little entitled nobodies that are in there trying to do everything but their job and should be fired because they're all completely horrible at those jobs anyways. read more

This place has gone downhill, when it first opened it was a lot better. Some body need to show them how to make a sub. You put meat on the whole sub, not just the middle with blank ends. read more

Stopped in for lunch and it wasn't too busy. The cashier seemed as though she wanted to be anywhere but there. Asked about the gluten free bun they had advertised in the window and on the register and they all were clueless and finally decided they had some. Ordered the steamer on GF ($2 extra) and also a turkey on white. The gluten free bun was out of this world, I am super excited someone is finally doing this! Both subs were excellent, just the service seemed lacking which was why the 4 stars. Hopefully the GF bun will stay! read more

Excellent sub and customer service. Tried Firehouse for the first time last night. Ordered the Hook and Ladder. Always was a fan of heated sobs. Fresh ingredients, and way more meat than the others. Returning home to rural Alabama and planning on buying a couple to take with me. read more

The service was very slow. It seems they were more concerned with filling door dash orders than the folks inside the store. They seemed to be confused putting thing in bags, then taking them back out. Probably will not go back. read more

Love this place, the food is very good and the employees are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

We went there tonight for my last carb full meal and they killed it like every time we eat fire house. I love the hook and ladder and make sure you add some of there firehouse sauce. The staff at this location are great and almost seem over staffed. Nice and clean inside with a couple table out front. Please try if you have not and for sure if you love a hot sub read more

We were craving Firehouse tonight. Although for some reason they locked their doors around 8:20 pm, they ignored people at the doors as well when there were multiple people walking up. Only to be pulling on a locked door. They are supposed to be open until 9:00. They lost out on at Least 6 customers in the 4 mins we were there. read more

This was the best Firehouse that I've ever had. The manager was very enthusiastic and helpful. His customer service was impeccable. The Firehouse was so tasty, neat, and enjoyable. It took a little time but it was worth the wait. read more

A little costly but definitely get bang for your buck. Ordered the steak and cheese on the first visit and hook and ladder the next day. Both good sandwiches! The price point and small mix up on my daughters sandwich cost them a star. Good job though. read more

I took my wife after I had visited one time before. My wife would rather go here than go to Subway sandwiches. I think I have created a monster. I love it too. I usually order two large sandwiches, one for there and one to take home. The Associate's are courteous, the eating area is very clean. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends & family. read more

I wasn't really happy with the end product. The customer service was ok, but my sandwich was soggy and they forgot the bacon on my nieces sub, I would rather drive further to the one off of 74 where my bread is always perfectly toasted and made right. read more

Writing this because someone needs to know about this incident. Staff was terrible. Unenthusiastic and joking with each other as they took our order. Just plain old didn't care. We received our sandwiches and a few seconds later the gal returned stating "You asked for no onions, right?" I nodded yes and leaned away thinking she would take back the sandwich but instead she proceeded to remove the top bun, pull the onions off with her hands, throw them in the trash, and replace the bun... Fantastic hot subs and a very clean, well kept location. However, the service during my last visit was horrible. The two women working were rude with my party and were extremely loud once we were seated. One team member would be standing by the door nearly yelling at the other team member who was at the register. Considering there were less than 10 customers in the location at the time, it was extremely unnecessary. The conversations consisted of the latest high school gossip and talk about "walking out if management wasn't here". It's hard to beat a hot sub from Firehouse but the unprofessional staff makes it hard to WANT to return. read more
