Watched the gentlemen make our subs. We ordered a ham sub regular and a mini roast beef. He gave the ham 5 slices and the mini 5 slices. Really nice guy making the sub, but definitely not Jersey Mikes quality. I got the last two loafs of bread, at 5pm, they were hard as a rock. Both subs called for bacon, they were out of bacon. No discount, not even an extra slice of meat. No more than 3 ounces of meat, on a giant. Not worth the $40, I won't return to the this location as well as let my guys know to pass. Do better. It's rediculous to pay sit down restaurant prices for sub par food. read more

The first time I visited here was the summer 2024. The gluten free sub was DELICIOUS!!! I visited twice in Dec 2024, got the same EXACT GLUTEN FREE SUB (#7, no onions, Mike's way, add pickles and mayo). Both times the bread was inedible- hard as a rock! It wouldn't even crumble! I couldn't get the dog to eat it! The 2nd time, I was charged $1.85 for gluten free up charge even though the sign read $1.50, Apparently the prices were changing in January- IT WAS STILL DECEMBER! Shorter black guy (manager?) hadn't received the new magnets to change the sign yet. (Tall white guy played dumb.) Having Celiac, I am used to an up charge, but don't up charge the up charge when the sign reads $1.50. I specifically asked if this bread was fresher (I know it comes in frozen. Most gluten free stuff does.) Guy assured me it was. LIAR! It was hard as a rock, and it was inedible! #Jerseymikes needs to get it together in Matthews! I will NEVER eat at this place again! They were short staffed and he immediately apologized for the delay and made sure to let us know that the store did not have all of the bread options available. Walked in for a sub with a coupon we had for a free sub, the employees immediately greeted me with a friendly demeanor. The subs we had ordered were made fresh in front of me and made very well. Food was properly wrapped and held together for my ride home. I was taken back by the friendly staff, not just the usual interaction of a friendly staff, but they had the courtesy to ask me while working about my day was going and it felt genuine. I forget the mans name but the counter staff with blonde dreads was superb and deserving of a promotion. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. I was hesitant on getting Jersey Mikes due to a prior issue with them in the past but this one is doing things well. Another person ordered something with a special request and the staff each asked when making the food if it was an allergy or a preference to see if they needed to specially prepare to avoid any health concerns. As much as I hate to give this location a poor review, the sandwiches I bought on line and picked up today did not live up to JM's normal standards. Sandwiches were not ready when I got there...no big deal but it went further downhill from there. Bread was underbaked, crust was white. Sandwich #13 minis "Mike's way" were underdressed and flavorless. Sandwich just tasted wet. Many of the pieces of banana peppers were ends and stems. YUCK!. Poor customer experience. I should have learned my lesson during the pandemic when I ordered a giant number 13 through DoorDash and my $30 sandwich was missing two of the meats. When I called them not to ask them to do anything about it just let them know, they basically giggled at me. Tonight I decided I'm going to have a cheesesteak since I don't eat a lot of red meat and haven't had a cheese steak in about 6 months. Jersey Mike's cheesesteaks are really really good. Not this place. Why? Because the two slack jawed teenagers that crafted my sandwich put it on cheese bread after I repeatedly told him white bread. My wife and I went in there was nobody in there but us, the obvious manager was attentive and polite. The two slack joint 14-year-olds not so much. I am from point pleasant New Jersey I know Good Jersey Mike's from bad. Kind of hard to screw up with their menu and system. But this store sucks I will never go back there. The employees here are very nice but the cleanliness of this place is the biggest issue I have. The case had a metal pan with some questionable things inside, the meat cutter was very dirty and just standing at the register you could see that the grill and floor were dirty and something was leaking so they had towels on the floor. The last time this place had a deep cleaning must have been a long time ago! Lastly, it's the end of July and it's like their AC wasn't working, we will not be back to this location to avoid the stomach ache from the lack of cleaning standards in this place! read more
