I met a colleague here for a business lunch. The restaurant had a constant flow of people, but the line moved quickly, and the staff was courteous and helpful with menu questions. After ordering, our food was ready in about four minutes. The restaurant was busy, but the furniture and layout keep noise from interrupting your meal. Seating was comfortable. Stopped in for a quick bite to grab and go. I selected a you pick 2 and ordered it when I was a little less than 10 minutes out from the store. The app told me my order will be ready in 10 minutes, and I arrived a few minutes early, walked inside the store to pick up my order from the shelf, and it was already there. My impression of the store when I pulled up is that it looks pretty new, and it looks very clean inside and out. Everything was in its place and very tidy, and well arranged. There's also plenty of seating and several spaces for pick up parking. There weren't a lot of people inside, and the workers look like they were ready to go home. food was good . hubs had a "pick 2" soup and tuna sandwich. I had salad and a baguette. Cashier was very polite, professional, and helpful. Order was correct although we were not offered our "free side" consisting of chips, an apple, or a baguette. Luckily we knew to ask. Plus we were not asked for our loyalty card- we had to request to use that as well. Sanitation grade was 98!- very pleased with that, although we had a bit of a problem finding a clean table- I have taken to keeping wipes in my purse for these times- which have become quite frequent lately- Sad ....Lots of customers on this lazy Sunday afternoon- there were older couples, Sunday school groups, young families- all very cordial and quiet....Or maybe I should say "as quiet as possible " considering the loud music that was blasting the calm of everyone's "quiet Sunday lunch"...I would suggest that the music , if played at all, should be barely audible to keep the ambiance of a nice, calm, quiet Sunday afternoon meal. I, for one, would be quite content to simply enjoy a meal without a drumbeat- I love eating at Panera Bread ,even though it is a little pricy, but it is usually a nice quiet environment with great customers and wonderful staff who seem to really go above and beyond to serve their customers with kindness and professionalism. But, please, ditch the music and clean the tables. read more

For a $13.00 sandwich you think they would not skimp on the filling of the sandwich. This is the pathetic ciabatta cheesesteak sandwich I was given. It was all bread. They should be ashamed of themselves. Next time I will go the Arby's next door where they advertise they got the meat because they certainly didn't have it here. We will go to the one in Matthews to see if they are better. Too bad. I really used to live Panera. read more

When this Panera was on the other side of independence it was great. Don't know how many other things changed when they moved but the addition of the drive thru sucks. When I place an order and drive to get it - I get the notification the food is ready but once I hit drive thru I always wait about 10 minutes before getting my food - it's ready supposedly but they're really slow there. I feel like they should get rid of drive thru and focus more on everything else ‍ read more

I love Panera and have always had positive experiences, but my last visit could have had dire consequences for me. I was given the wrong food, with ingredients of which I'm highly allergic ... to the point that inhaling the smell of the allergen can cause me to go into anaphylactic shock. Didn't have my epipen on hand and could feel my throat closing, so I had to get the food out of the car and immediately take Benadryl while having to go back to work from my lunch break. Although the food worker apologized for the error and corrected the order, I didn't believe the severity of the mistake was taken seriously enough to understand how I was affected by it. Since then, I've been very hesitant to order from Panera again. read more

I don't know how the food was at this location -highway 74 in Indian Trail. I sat in my car at the drive though order sign for about 4-5 minutes without so much as a 'I'll be with you in a minute'. Drove off without ordering... Chick fil a will want my business!! read more

Repeated visits in past couple weeks having problems with the ordering kiosk system. Staff was not very available to resolve the issue or to take orders. Bread selection was limited, had to ask them to defrost sourdough to make grilled cheese sandwich. read more
