Interesting place. I never feel comfortable when I come in. Very non-diverse staff. When I get food to go, there is always something wrong. I wish they wouldn't microwave their brown bread.

My wife and I made a day trip down to Charlotte and found Nora Mac's via the Yelp! App. Nora Mac's has a true Irish Pub feel to include the music playing on the sound system. We were seated immediately and our waitress took our order quickly. And, our food came out equally fast. I had the Fish and Chips, and it did not disappoint!!

This is a newer place. I took over Woodys. There's plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. They really make it feel like a pub. The food is OK from the trio appetizer the pimento cheese dip was the best. The chicken wrap was OK. The service was basic really enjoyed the Nora gold beverage. The place is decorated like an Irish pub. Hope you enjoy.

If you are looking for traditional Irish food in a traditional Irish pub, this is the place for you! While Irish food is not my first choice I can say that I I liked my corned beef and cabbage and my friends enjoyed their food (beef stew, fish & chips). I will say that if someone doesn't like traditional Irish food, they won't have too many options here. Also, their prices feel a little high for this type of food. ...but, overall, it's a solid choice for anyone that wants to embrace Ireland!

Nora Mac's - Ballantyne It was my first time here for an Irish Soul Sister's lunch! What a wonderful place, fantastic service, the staff was fantastic. I was so busy enjoying my food after taking pictures of everybody else's - that I forgot to snap one of my plate. I got the Irish breakfast, it was delicious. Along with a cup of fabulous fresh onion soup!!! Soooooo good! There are pictures of it on Google reviews that someone else took so take a peek. Ballantyne Roast beef sandwich, Reuben sandwich, shepherds pie, curry dish, Irish spice bag, I loved the sausage pastries. Steaming hot Irish Bread with 3 butters. Can't wait to go back, and won't forget to snap a picture of my plate, but the next meal is going to be fish and chips! We were too full for dessert but they were able to easily handle a table of 13 women at 11 AM no issues. Oh! They have a days long St. Patrick's Day celebration! You've got to look it up online and call to see what they've got going on. They also have Irish music and Irish bands and while I didn't go upstairs, I was told that they have a space upstairs. I think you can sit outside? Again, it's just another reason to go back and check everything out and get a more comprehensive review. Plenty of parking by the way, and by the time we left at around 1:30 or so? The place was filling up!

Located near the Gibson building in Ballantyne, it's a little hidden away. But there are a reasonable amount of tables inside, and we were able to get seated immediately. We were all in agreement that the food was simply outstanding. I ordered a cup of onion soup and the shepherd's pie. Both dishes were outstanding. I can't remember having a better version of these dishes- even from homemade. Some slight criticisms - the soup was supposed to arrive at the table before the mains, which it did. But there was only about a five minute lag before the mains came to the table. So that was a little annoying. Also the prices seem a bit high for what you get. I don't mind paying a premium for good food, but that usually means the portion size is the standard oversized American amount. These dishes however were just the right size, but pricing should have been proportionate. At any rate, the service was fast and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend a visit.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly. This place is perfect for a laid-back meal with a great vibe. I will definitely be returning to indulge in more of their scrumptious dishes.

We started at the bar while waiting for our table and were seated in a timely manner, especially considering it was crowded for a Wednesday night. To start, we had the Reuben egg rolls and chili cheese wedges, both of which were solid appetizers. Before our meal, we tried the French onion soup and broccoli salad. I enjoyed the French onion soup, although some found it a bit sour. The broccoli salad, on the other hand, was very good--light and not too heavy. For our main courses, we ordered the bangers and mash, fish and chips, and Irish chicken curry, and everyone enjoyed their meals. You MUST try the bread pudding with Baileys or vanilla ice cream--it was absolutely delicious! We loved the atmosphere, the service was great, and overall, it was just a very good Irish dinner!

These were a lunch special but they had them for dinner to. Wonderful croquettes

I had high hopes for this restaurant when I made a reservation for Valentine's Day, but…read moreunfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

The drinks are what really shine here but it was still very nice to have food to pick from since we were starving! Drinks: 4.8/5 - Same mixologist as the Cellar At Duckworths so i knew these dunes were going to be fire and i was correct. We got the paloma which was yummy with fresh grapefruit juice. I think i got the dirty collins which was a lighter drink but not overly sweet so it was perfecttt!! I was eyeing the pisco sour too but will have to try that next time. Service: 4.8/5 - Since it was their soft opening I either expected mediocre service or top of the line. Thankfully I received the latter! Saturn was a wonderful server who provided great recommendations for drinks and kept checking in on us. She was super sweet and hospitable! Vibes: 4.8/5 - definitely get a seat in the bar area if you can. It feels more intimate and cooler..! we were seated in the dining room which was still nice and more quiet but i think it would have been more fun for us personally to be closer to the bar to watch them make drinks and overlook the road by the windows. I've never had eggs cooked so beautifully by my grandmother. The eggs were exceptional. I also overheard other tables raving about the scrambled eggs. Next morning we had good breakfast overall - omelettes were good, waffles are nice with berries and they were able to make minor changes like add chocolate chips but again I expected this restaurant to be Conrad or JW or Ritz level but it is not simply there. They charged us 18% gratuity we were only four people, so that was a bit odd. But we didn't have time to protest and otherwise the tip was going to be 15%.
