The service was warm and attentive, drinks came out quickly, and while the food took a little longer (since we had a large group), it was well worth the wait. The interior is beautifully designed, and the cozy outdoor area by the man-made lake added the perfect touch. I had the chicken & waffle with a side of cheesy grits, everything was cooked just right, and the fruit was super fresh! Parking can get a little tight because of nearby businesses, so definitely plan ahead if you have a reservation. Overall, such a lovely experience. Would 100% go back! read more

Had an 11a reservation and place was empty when we arrived but still had to wait abt 15min for our table to be ready. Not sure what that was abt. Our server was absolutely phenomenal and truly made my experience. We just stopped by on a date. I ordered the lobster roll, but unfortunately the lobster was rubbery, so I wouldn't choose that again, and the bread was also over toasted. My French 75 made up for it. Wonderful first experience at Link and Pin for my dad's birthday! So many menu options it was hard to choose. Wine and drink menu is on an iPad which is very convenient. Glass of red was spectacular and nicely priced. Staff was amazing from start to finish even giving my dad a card for his birthday. Food was spectacular! Appetizers were tasty and the meal portions were HUGE. We were in the glass window room overlooking the fountain outside and it was amazing. Why is the service here always so slow when the restaurant is not full at all? We have been several over times over the last year, and food is just okay, especially for the high prices. The service always takes forever! Service would have to improve for me to consider trying them again. read more

What terribly disappointing service. Reservations made a month ago because a few in our party were familiar with the flounder. Service was very poor. Drinks took over a half hour. Bottle of wine ordered with dinner...Dinner took 25ish minutes, which for what's promoted as a high end restaurant may be expected - but the wine showed up 20 minutes after that. Sporadic attention throughout the evening. Link & Pin promotes itself as a high end steak house, and prices certainly match that. But service was very poor. For a fine dining experience in the area there a at least 2 dozen options offering decent service. Only reason this isn't 1 star is the manager made an effort to engage two individuals in our party to address the poor service. Very disappointing experience. read more

I will start to say - Our Server was.very good as she was attentive to our desires, accurate and tried to make sure our meal went well. Unfortunately, our server didn't cook the meal or it probably would have been better. 1)My Haddovk was too salty as it overode the taste of the fish. 2) Our Asparagus was woody, tasteless, and stringing - hardly grilled. 3) Portions of our meal were too small - NOT A GOOD VALUE. My Haddock portion was way too small. 4) Cocktail prices were exorbitant as an Ole Fashion was $12.00. 5) Outdoor chairs had no padding . Late last night we visited Link & Pin about an hour before closing and sat at the bar. The late night atmosphere still has a relaxed, upscale feel. Casually sophisticated. Our server at the bar, Logan, gets a standing ovation for making PERFECT drinks when we didn't even order from the drink menu. The standing ovation is also for giving fantastic food and drink suggestions and delivering five-star service from start to finish. As many times as I've dined here, it's odd that I've never visited after brunch hours until now. The portions were larger than I expected and the food was excellent. We'll be back. read more

What a lovely ambiance in our neighborhood bubble! We were seated in an area that overlooked the small pond and afterwards greeted by the most lovely and knowledgeable waitress, Jessica. She knows the menu, the featured evening specials as well as wine. She really added to our experience. We ordered the bison steak and the lobster roll and everything ordered came out quickly and was prepared to perfection.. We had an amazing Valentine's Day dinner at Link & Pin! The food, service, and ambiance were 10/10. Everything was exceptional and it was a busy night, which sometimes leads to mistakes because workers are overwhelmed. That was not the case and L&P...every moment was beyond amazing. Walked in at 10:30am on Father's Day, the restaurant maybe had 5 parties seated and looked completely empty. They asked if we had a reservation and we said no and asked if we had to have one, he frowned his face and said they have "a lot" of reservations, "...yea we just have a LOT of reservations due to the holiday so I'm not sure, you can sit over there and we can try to find something but we just have so many reservations so I'm not sure". Look, I totally understand having too many reservations and that Father's Day is a holiday but you've been open 30 minutes and the restaurant is barely 20% full. Additionally, both men at the counter had frowned faces at us the entire time--I've been politely rejected from busy restaurants before. They could learn a couple courses in decorum and also not to judge based on appearance, we were never offered a smile or asked to return. We weren't even offered a later reservation as now that I look at their Open Table, they have plenty of availability in the afternoon. This was my parents first time at this restaurant, I've frequented the other location several times, and now we won't be back to either. read more

The service was fine with the caveat that the server never asked us if we wanted bottled water. She just came around pouring either flat or pelligrino into our glasses and we had no idea they were $8 a bottle. No idea when we ordered 3 bottles or said water, either, but there they were on our bill. This was our first time here. I was appalled at the dirtiness of the women's bathroom. The floors were also super dirty and it was the first thing I noticed when we walked in that my feet were sticking to the floors. It's Mother's Day and I'm sure they were busy but we came around 4pm and it was mostly empty. Absolutely no reason for the bathroom to be in that state. We ordered some plates to share since we have kids and they have NO kids menu. So glad we didn't get some of the more expensive plates cause it would've been a waste of money. Things we ordered: 1. Ceviche - the taste was ok except the shrimp was very hard but there was literally 1 shrimp in it sliced into 2 pieces. Most of it was onion and big chunks of onion with wilted cilantro. Not sure black beans have any places in ceviche. 2. Truffle fries - garlic overpowered any hint of truffle. Soggy with grease. 3. Lobster Mac n cheese - good luck actually finding lobster in there. Pasta was undercooked and it was more of a cheese soup. Very watery. Did not enjoy at all. 4. Impossible burger - this was too terrible to eat. We actually returned it. 5. Chicken tenders - they were ok. The taste wasn't the best but they were edible and some of the only protein we actually got. 6. Watermelon margarita - this was actually decent but I could easily make a better one at home. Not worth $15. No, we will not be going back. read more

I had heard wonderful things about Link and Pin from Yelp and social media so we decided to check it out for lunch on New Year's Day. I called ahead and was told that reservations were highly recommended but when we arrived the restaurant was empty. The staff was helpful but not very friendly including the hostess and waitress. We got a table in the corner of the dining room overlooking the lake. There was a brunch menu available but as soon as I saw the reviews and pictures of the Lobster Roll on Yelp, I knew that I HAD TO HAVE IT. Seriously, look at the pictures of the giant claws of lobster on Yelp. It was a VERY expensive sandwich and something I don't usually splurge on but it was delicious! The truffle fries on the side were a special treat. My dining partner ordered from the brunch menu and her waffles with blueberries looked delicious. It's a beautiful location and more upscale than I expected it to be. I believe they actually have a dress code (which I did not meet) but are probably more relaxed on that policy for lunch. It's definitely a great restaurant located in The Arboretum but be prepared to spend more money than average. It will be a while before I go back because of the prices. read more

First time! Went for brunch at the Arboretum location. I was actually surprised the place was completely empty when we arrived but perhaps it had just opened. We were literally the first party to sit down. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with an elegant feel, almost sort of "old hollywoodish" with a railroad theme. We ordered a couple of mimosas. You can order a mimosa bar starting at $60 but that didn't feel worth it for us. I ordered the chicken and waffles and a side of grits. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. The chicken and waffles was delicious. I love a light, crispy waffle and this was just that. The chicken was also good and it came with cubed pieces of watermelon garnished with mint and a side of bourbon maple syrup. The bourbon maple was a little much for me, and I opted for the traditional syrup. Watermelon isn't in season right now being that we visited at the end of December, so it wasn't overly ripe/sweet. Overall, a yummy dish though. My side of cheddar grits were also good. The texture was "grittier" than I'm used to and was rather thick, but I actually enjoyed. Very filling and satisfying. My husband had the shrimp and grits. When he received the dish, it wasn't what he expected with the sunny side up egg and fried onion, but it was actually delicious. The gravy also complimented it well. Overall, I thought the dishes and ambiance were a 4.5, but our service was unfortunately lacking today, so I'm going to give it a 4 for now. Our server basically left us with menus for 10 -15 mintues when we first sat down, even before we could order drinks. We had to get up and ask the hostess to find her so we could order something to drink. Considering there was literally noone else in the restaurant when we sat down, I can't imagine why it would have taken her so long to return. When she did come back to our table, it was apparent that she didn't want to be there. I'd go back for sure... maybe to another location. read more

Had brunch here on New Year's Day. We were told that reservations were required, but the restaurant was half full during our visit. The hostess was not as friendly as I would've imagined but perhaps she was having an off day. Waitress was very awesome! We were sat in the back room near the windows and had a great view of the lake. Checked our their signature cocktails on their iPad. Ended up ordering the Link & Pin Margarita with salt on the rim. The drink was very flavorful and neither overly sweet nor tart, it was just right. My eyes were bigger than my appetite and I over ordered. The Cesar salad was wonderful with the right amount of dressing and cheese. The croutons had the perfect crunch to them. I also ordered the chicken and waffled and added blueberries to the waffles. The chicken tenders are perfectly breaded and the waffles were light and fluffy. I enjoyed my meal and all of the other plates coming out looked very appetizing! I've been to the SouthEnd location a few times, but this is my first time to this one. I came here for Sunday brunch with my friend and our moms. It is located in the Arboretum Shopping Center towards the back where the water fountain is. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant itself is gorgeous inside. The restaurant is huge, but I made a reservation through OpenTable just in case. We were seated by the room with the large windows overlooking the water. Our server was friendly and food came out within a reasonable amount of time. Now for the food, YUM! We ordered to start, the General Tso's Cauliflower with the sauce on the side since we weren't sure how spicy it would be. Even without the sauce, it had a lot of flavors. I wanted to gobble it all up myself, but I had to share. Now, the star of the show, was the CHICKEN & WAFFLES! I think Link & Pin is now my favorite place for this! The chicken was so tender and juicy with the perfect amount of crunch, the waffles were light, fluffy, and slightly crispy, and the mint watermelon was a refreshing touch. I highly recommend this dish! For greens, we ordered the Brussels Sprouts & Mixed Green Salad. I love how they incorporated pomegranates since I'm obsessed with them. It was a good portion to share. I decided to check out this place again...this time for lunch. I tried their Cajun Chicken Pasta with Brussels Sprouts...and here's the deal. I loved the Brussels Sprouts, but the Cajun Chicken Pasta was just a bit too much. The flavor was good, but I just found the sauce WAY too thick and cheesy. Also, I didn't love the tiny "Pipette" Pasta. It almost looked and tasted like a bowl of spicy Macaroni. Somehow, I expected a better, more refined version of this dish here. Sadly, I was only able to eat only a small portion of it. Just like last time, the service was really good. I also love the ambiance here. The place is huge, with lofty ceilings; and there are a variety of seatings. The music overhead was spot on as well. Honestly, I'd LOVE to give this place 5 stars, but there always seems to be SOMETHING that stops me from doing so. This time, it was definitely the wrong dish (for me, at least). My family & I had brunch reservations here on Sat, December 31st at 11:40 am. I was sent the dress code. I made sure to dress up. When we arrived there was only 1 other booth there. The booth to the right of us. I decided to order al la carte so I could try several items. I ordered 2 eggs, potato hash, & a Belgian waffle. The potato hash was good & flavorful. The waffles were good & flaky. My brother ordered the chicken & waffles. I had some of the chicken. It was well seasoned & crispy. I ordered a red sangria. It had a little kick to it. My birthday was a couple of days ago. My mom informed them & they bought out the Nutella Budino. While we were there, a bigger group came in & some of them had hoodies on. I guess the dress code wasn't being enforced on that day. The manager stopped by to inquire how everything was. That was a nice touch. I was informed that he does that regularly. Another restaurant group outing we belong to with some 40 people in attendance. Nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and a menu for our group ( see photo ). The food was excellent, came out hot, plated nicely, mostly good portions. However some selections were very pricey. I ordered the broccoli salad with salmon and a side order of sautéed mushrooms. I went to the one in south Charlotte i the Arborertum. The food here is very good. The crispy oysters are a must. The wings you can pass on. I got the House Burger which was perfectly cooked (medium). The next time I will have them omit the aioli since I'm not a fan. The fries are good but no need to upgrade to the the garlic fries. They have a cocktail lounge area which is extremely cozy. After having multiple bad experience at the L&P South End, we were very hesitant about dining at this location. Thank goodness we did, this location is 100x better. From service to food. Huge wine & beer selection & numerous signature cocktails. Mexican street corn & Brussel sprout appetizer with the orange Carmel glaze made my mouth water! Our entrees, the petite Filet & the Cajun chicken pizza was cooked to perfection! Link and Pin is amazing! This was my first time dining at this location. There was plenty of parking and finding the restaurant was easy. When we arrived, we were greeted. We were then escorted to our table. Our waitress greeted us again and she was super friendly! We ordered an omelette, potatoes and the huevos rancheros. Oh and a waffle. My husband enjoyed his omelette and potatoes. I took one bite of my huevos rancheros and oooooooh weeeeeeee that thing was SPICY! If you love spice and huevos rancheros the.
