I had the stone fruit drink and it was so good. We had chicken fried lobster and rock island calamari and shrimp. It was all perfection. There was a waygu special that I had to try. We had mushrooms, au gratin potatoes, and corn crème brûlée as our sides. We have already looked up copy cat recipes for the corn crème brûlée. I need to have this over and over again. For dessert the table split the red velvet bread pudding (we were stuffed) and I immediately started searching for copy cat recipes for that. It was decadent. Service was impeccable. We have had several incredible experiences at Steak 48! The food is absolutely top tier from start to finish, but what truly made this last evening extra special was our server, Courtney. He was incredibly attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and warm, and made us feel so well taken care of throughout the entire meal. We had an incredible experience at Steak 48 and can't recommend it enough! Unfortunately, Google Maps took us to the wrong address, so we ended up arriving about 20 minutes late for our reservation. We had called ahead to let them know, and they were so gracious and accommodating, which immediately set the tone for a wonderful evening. We were celebrating my husband's promotion at work and our baby on the way (I'm 6 months pregnant), and the staff truly made us feel special from start to finish. The rolls were delicious--especially the garlic rolls, which reminded me of Pizza Hut breadsticks in flavor (though not in texture). We started with the chicken-fried lobster appetizer, which came with three lobster tails and was absolutely fantastic. For our entrée, we split the 12 oz Wagyu filet, and it was hands down the best steak we've ever had. One detail we really appreciated was that the plates are served piping hot, which kept the steak warm throughout the meal and made every bite just as perfect as the first. Our side was the corn crème brûlée, and it was incredible--rich, sweet, and almost like having dessert with dinner. Speaking of dessert, we had planned to order one to share, but to our surprise they brought us two complimentary desserts! We enjoyed the Key lime pie and the ice cream cake, and both were outstanding. The biggest surprise of the night came at the very end when the manager (I wish I could remember his name) brought us a sweet baby gift--a rattle and a lovey. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that completely blew us away. Our server, Meredith, was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made the entire evening feel effortless. Had a great experience. Went on a Thursday evening and it was pretty crowded. The restaurant isn't too spaced out seating wise so everyone was kind of on top of each other but that did not take away from the dining. Our waitress was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the menu: entrees, sides, and drinks which allowed us to make good choices as it was a first visit. All of the items we ordered were served properly and in a timely manner so that the food was enjoyed at prep temperature. A good steakhouse conveniently located offering a great food and drink menu. My wife and I came here for the first time to celebrate her birthday. I made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday and was clear about the reason of the reservation (to celebrate my wife's birthday). I received a confirmation and strict instructions about the dress code, which was mostly about formal/dressy code. The location is in South Park, which is one of the nicest areas in Charlotte. There is a free parking garage with plenty of spaces, but valet parking is also available. The hostess was very professional and courteous. We were taken to one of the two bars to sit, and we were surprised because we expected a table, so I requested one. They were very professional and immediately took us to one. However, we noticed there were about three different areas, and we were offered a table in the "sports" section in which there were 2 TVs playing football games and a bit of loud music (pop and rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s). The menu is great and has a lot of options of meat and some sea food. It also has good options of side orders, desserts, wines and cocktails.   We went for the 45-day dry aged bone-in ribeye, 12 oz. NY strip, corn creme brulee, heirloom tomato salad and burrata with two cocktails and a cake/ice cream dessert called Ultimate. Everything was delicious! The service was fantastic!  I definitely recommend it, but for the price we paid in a  fine dining restaurant, I would not want to eat watching ball games with that type of music and quite a few people around not following the dress code recommended (a few t-shirts with logos, a man wearing a cap, and another one wearing bermuda shorts. SPEECHLESS! First of all, hands down the best service I've ever had anywhere in Charlotte! I am big on service these days, post covid has been a nightmare dining out. Steak 48 has restored my faith in the possibility of excellent customer service. The food was AMAZING! Steaks were cooked perfectly to the requested temperature. We tried the 45 day aged steak and the bone-in filet mignon...WOW! My favorite side item had to be the corn crème brûlée...can't stop thinking about it. We also tried the crab and shrimp mac & cheese, also delicious. All sides are shareable, but I might have to get my own corn crème brûlée next time lol. Ambiance is very nice and cozy. Perfect for date nights and special occasions. I wouldn't say good forbig parties because it was nice for it to not be so loud in there. Dressy casual for sure as far as dress code. Bone in Ribeye (5/5): Delicious ribeye. Perfectly seared and full of flavor. Top tier steak. Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake (5/5): Maybe the best cake I've ever had. I'm not typically a big fan of cake, but the texture of this cake (particularly the edges) was almost more like a cookie. The gelato on top paired perfectly with the cake, and the pecans added a nice crunch. Glad I went with this but honestly all the desserts looked amazing. Corn Creme Brulee (5/5): Almost like a dessert side. The crunchy caramelized sugar added some great texture to the very sweet creamed corn. Braised Pork Belly (5/5): Loved the sweet Thai chili sauce. The pork belly itself had a good ratio of fat to meat. Petite Filet Mignon (4/5): Not as tender as some other filets I've had, but still very good. Well seasoned and seared. Roasted Brussel Sprouts (4/5): I liked the big chunks of bacon, but the flavor was a little lacking. The bacon flavor was surprisingly muted and it was pretty one dimensional. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the steak was incredibly juicy yet deeply flavorful, with a complex, beefy richness that lingered long after each bite. The crust was absolute perfection. Every single time we come here, we leave full and counting the days until we can come back. Parking is simple, and even simpler if you valet. It's not hard to find at all. The food is simply incredible. I love seafood, so for me, this is truly heaven. They have all the seafood your heart could desire. I love getting an appetizer. I haven't had one I didn't enjoy. My significant other has a gluten allergy, and most of the items can be made gluten-free, but he usually skips the appetizer for the main course. He always gets a steak, which he loves! My wife's Maryland-style Lump Crab Cakes were packed with fresh crab and had a crispy coating on the outside. We shared some Brussels Sprouts, which were delicious. This is it!!!! I was impressed with Steak 48 from valet to entry. This location screams 5-star, and with good reason. The décor, the elegant design -- I see why this was selected as a birthday celebration choice. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I was very pleased with my dinner selection. I got the filet mignon with the corn crème brûlée and a side of asparagus. Everyone at the table ordered their own side, and we realized we should have shared because the portions were definitely enough for the table. All of the staff were very friendly. Our server Charles was very knowledgeable and attentive. He provided recommendations and gave us time to overlook the menu between each course. He also made sure we didn't want for anything, even jumping in to pour my soda when he saw that I was refilling my glass myself. While the restaurant is dimly lit, our table was near the open concept kitchen. It was nice to be able to watch everyone through the glass as they prepared the orders. The decor is very tasteful and welcoming. All of the food was delicious. Having it served on 500 degree plates made sure that everything stayed warm while you dined. I really enjoyed the crab cake on top of my NY Strip, and the temperature I requested was executed perfectly for my steak (medium). It was also nice that the sides were served directly onto my plate prior to eating so that I can just enjoy the food. On December 3, 2025, I hosted a dinner at this restaurant. Prior to our visit, my manager and the restaurant exchanged multiple emails to plan the evening, including menu selections and quantities. We provided a proposed list, and the restaurant explicitly stated it would not be sufficient, recommending additional items. Relying on their guidance, we agreed to their recommendations. Upon arrival, staff asked to identify the host and how we would like to proceed with ordering. When wine was requested, I stated, "Yes, get a good house wine or something similar," with the clear expectation that this would be a reasonably priced, standard option. Instead, the staff brought a $400 bottle of wine without mentioning the price. This was followed by seven additional bottles (8 total) at the same price point, and later eight more bottles priced around $200 each. At no time were prices disclosed, clarified, or confirmed, despite the unusually high volume and cost. This was not a single misunderstanding -- it was a repeated pattern throughout the evening. In addition to the A5 Wagyu was insisted by staff. There are so many voids and orders. There was clearly some adjustments. But I'm not going to make accusations. I'll let you see for yourself in the bill. Given the level of advance coordination, the scale of the order, and multiple clear opportunities to pause and confirm pricing, it is difficult to view this as an oversight. What should have reasonably been a $5,000-$6,000 dinner ultimately exceeded $11,000. I am sharing this experience as a caution to all guests dining here. Be extremely explicit about pricing and do not assume staff will act in good faith when making selections on your behalf. Based on this experience, the restaurant appears willing to take advantage of ambiguity rather than provide transparency. Went to Steak 48 to celebrate my dads 70th and parents anniversary. Our reservation was at 6:45 and we did not get seated until 7:30. While it was frustrating, the staff did everything in their ability to accommodate us and the delay. Our server (I forgot her name but it was similar to Hermany/Hermione) was nothing SHORT OF AMAZING !!! She was detailed, very energetic and charismatic. She had us smiling all night. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed when ordering. She walked us step by step from Apps, Entree to Desserts ! We were seated in the lounge but we still were able to be intimate with each other. The music choice was good and the staff were quick. My family felt special and we were treated with so much respect, kindness and love here. So there is a lot to unpack here especially having dinner on a jammed Saturday night in January. The four of us arrived about 20 minutes early of our reservation so to pass the time of course we went to the bar to order a round of drinks. We started off with the Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs and 6 daily suggestions of the Chef's Oysters. Both were great but we loved their take on Deviled Eggs. So good. The only negative was their Wedge Salad. I love a Wedge Salad prior to a steak but my god there was waaaaay too much Blue Cheese Dressing. It was overwhelming to the point where the crunch of the salad was not available. My order for steak was their 45 day Dry Aged Bone In Rib Eye which was delicious on the outside but a tad tough in the middle. I ordered this medium rare and I think the issue is the hot plate its served on. We had this issue before in Houston at another steak restaurant and asked not to have the steak served on a hot plate as it's supposed to rest instead of "keeping it warm". I should've sent it back but I didn't since my Casamigos drink was kicking in. They acknowledged it was our anniversary so that was a nice recognition by offering a comp dessert. Thank you. On their website they mention how they prefer a jacket and button up shirt. However I did see a mix of people who took hold to their dress code and some who didn't so in other words don't overthink their dress code. Came here for a birthday dinner and was finally able to check this place out. Note: they do not allow outside cake, balloons or anything that disrupts the ambiance. Our reservation was not ready and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes after arriving. The ambient lighting is very dim. Their bar area is a u-shape and fills up rather quickly. They have a ton of staff hustling around so be cautious while walking. I had a glass of prosecco. Can't go wrong with that! For my app I ordered the fried calamari. Omg it was sooooo good. The fry was perfect. They also included fried shrimps. The jalapeños were a nice touch and gave a slight spice. The dipping sauce paired really good. For my meal I ordered a ceasar salad and filet mignon, medium well with truffle butter. The salad was ok, it didn't have any anchovies on top. My filet was cooked perfectly and the truffle better gave it an extra mmmm mmmm good taste. I would order all of that again. For desert we shared the beignet tree and butter cake. Both were really good! The presentation of the beignet tree was impressive. And they came with chocolate to dip. I'd order those again as well. Parking is super easy. This was my second time dining here, and I decided to celebrate the New Year and my birthday on NYE. My first visit was at the bar, where the service was outstanding, so this time I wanted the full dining experience--and it did not disappoint. The entire experience was wonderful and accommodating. Initially, we were going to be seated at the bar, but I declined since I had made reservations a month ago. They quickly arranged a private table for us, which was near the kitchen but not disruptive. The food was incredible! The bread was so fresh and delicious. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec, while my husband had the Cabernet. We ordered oysters, steak, potatoes, mac & cheese, and Brussels sprouts--all of which were flavorful and well-prepared. While my steak did come out overcooked, the staff quickly addressed the issue and provided a replacement. To make the evening even more special, they surprised us with a birthday dessert and an additional dessert as an apology for the steak issue. For drinks, I had the Strawberry Rhubarb cocktail and hubs had dirty martini with blue cheese olives and a yellowstone on the rocks - they were all yum! Then we had raw oysters which came with six different fresh sauces and two Tabasco sauces. My husband said they were the best oysters he has ever had. The Mignonette was the perfect complement to the Oysters! The oysters are ala carte and were $5 each, but are market price. Then we had mains and aides. Hubs got the Kansas City Strip Medium Rare and he said it was perfect. I had the Iberico Pork Chops. For sides we had the Creamed Spinach, Au Gratin Potatoes and Corn Brulee. Everything was yum - I liked the Spinach the best and hubs liked the Corn Brulee best. We were too full for dessert, but iur waitress brought two mini chocolate chip cookies - which was a nice end to the meal. this is complimentary. The service was strong When we arrived we were seated promptly. We were offered white vs black linens for our table. We were offered three different water choices. Lots of context and details were provided about the dishes. The dishes were well paced and at the right temperature. We were never rushed. I dug the environment There was music playing throughout and the playlist was good. The environment was dark which you can see in the photos. Even in the 'bar area', the ambiance was nice. Good location A lot of nice steakhouses are Uptown with parking challenges. This being in South Park was easier to get in and out. There was ample street parking, a garage close by and valet parking for $8. Our bill was $300 for two, but definitely worth it for a special occasion with this level of service and quality of food. read more

Wow! Ok so dinner was expensive like people have stated previously however it could have been cheaper if we hadn't ordered 3 appetizers and a drink haha but it was our first time here and we wanted to try everything! Apps: Waygu Meatballs - fantastic! These were so melt in your mouth yummy with flavor in every single bite! It was served with a marinara sauce but it wasn't needed unless you just wanted a little different flavor added Hamachi - I'm not even sure if I chewed these they were so good. It was served in a ponzu sauce and was chilled to perfection Shrimp cocktail & oysters - you can customize your own seafood tower and we just chose the shrimp which were HUGE and raw oysters. They came with their own sauces (my favorite! I love sauces) butter, cucumber, garlic, horseradish, and of course shrimp cocktail - I tried them all and mixed them all bc they were all great in their own way Wedge salad was your typical salad but we do enjoy a good wedge. It came with a red wine/mustard dressing which really just taste like blue cheese to me but wasn't overpowering Entrees: Filet - Cooked perfectly medium rare which is what I requested, it came out on a hot plate so definitely touch your tongue to that ha It was seasoned so perfectly I didn't even need the side sauce I ordered. It was tender and cut easily. Pork chop - thick and also cooked perfectly seasoned very well so well that I was not offered a piece to taste Corn brûlée - this was cream corn with a crusted sugar layer on top, the sugar layer isn't super sweet so it worked well together Dessert: Warm Vanilla Carmel Cake - didn't stand a chance! I was introduced to Steak 48 while in Charlotte over the weekend and it quickly became one of my favorite steak houses! I personally don't eat steak... I know I know but if you know like I know, every good steak house serves excellent seafood dishes and sides. Steak 48 is no exception. Our waitresses was a very pleasant young lady that provided high quality service and menu recommendations. Our table ordered salmon with Chardonnay butter and shallots with mint, whipped potatoes, sweet corn, cod, pork chops, Caesar salad, macaroni and cheese, and Brussel sprouts. The food was exceptional! The salmon was perfectly cooked, trust me you'll want to order the Chardonnay butter sauce, it takes the dish up a level. All of the sides were tasty. The corn and the whipped potatoes were my favorite! The drinks were mature... if you know what I mean. If you don't... try this place out and let me know what you think. My wife and I have been coming to Steak 48 for years now and we always have an amazing experience. It is easily one of our top three restaurants in Charlotte. The vibe is cool and sexy. You know you're walking into a place that has really paid attention to the details from the moment you walk the door. We like to sit at the bar where it's a little more laid back although we've had dinner in the dinning room several times with friends. The tables in the back by the kitchen are the way to go if you're looking for something more intimate. I like to get a dirty martini and my wife get champagne. We get the Torched Scallops with caviar and the hamachi for appetizers and for dinner we usually split an entree. Everything really is next level although my favorite is the seabass. The service is outstanding. Everyone acknowledges you with a smile and "good evening, sir" as you walk past. It may not sound like much but these are the extra touches that make the place so special. Service with Joe was perfect. The filet mignon was served on a sizzingly hot dinner plate and cooked medium as ordered. The corn side dish was so yummy we should have ordered two. The scallops were large and cooked just right. Oh and I had Bernie's sauce with my filet. Ceasar salad with poached egg was my starter not sure the egg added anything to an already very good salad. And lastly the appetizer lobster rolls were enough for two for dinner. Last night I did something bold. I ordered fish at a steakhouse. I know. I shocked myself too. I walked into Steak 48 for the very first time with a full craving for seafood even though I almost never order fish when I eat out. It's usually dry, sad and gives off "help me" energy. But the craving was loud and honestly I hadn't experienced Steak 48 yet, so I figured if anyone could cook fish without hurting my feelings it would be them. I snagged a last-minute high top at the bar and the second I walked in they hit me with a "Good evening Mr. Diamond" which made me feel like I was either about to be seated or inducted into a secret society. Hard to tell. I sat down and shocked the world by skipping my usual Diet Coke with grenadine (The Evan Diamond). Instead I ordered an unsweetened iced tea. They brought out a glass of ice with a bottle of Republic Darjeeling tea sitting next to it. They call it the "champagne of tea". At first I judged it because I thought it was going to taste like every sad bottled tea at a gas station. Then I added one Sweet 'N Low and suddenly I was locked in. For dinner I had options. Salmon three ways. Chilean seabass three ways. A Branzino special was floating around too. I went with the Chilean seabass spiedini style which means breadcrumb magic, herbs and spices, then broiled. It came out looking like the moment in a movie where the clouds part and a choir sings. For my sides, I was torn between the Boursin mashed potatoes or the corn crème brûlée. My server suggested the corn since it was my first time. When the food arrived, the server assistant started plating both the corn brûlée and the mashed potatoes. I told him I only ordered the corn. He said "Your server wanted you to try both" and let me know the potatoes were on the house. I nearly adopted her on the spot. The corn crème brûlée was wild. Sweet corn folded into a rich cream base. Salty. Sweet. Cozy. Then they sprinkle sugar on top and torch it until it forms a crackly, caramelized shell like a true dessert crème brûlée. Underneath the crisp sugar is buttery, soft corn. The crunch to cream ratio was absolute perfect perfection. The Boursin mashed potatoes were on a whole other level too. A blend of Yukon and russet potatoes gives that silky texture. Then they mix in Boursin cheese and sweet cream so it hits you with buttery, garlicky, herby goodness. It's the kind of side that tastes like someone whispered "ultimate comfort" into a bowl of clouds. The sides were huge and could feed three or four people. And this feels like a good moment to say the service here was top tier. Everyone who stopped by did it with intention. Not hovering. Not weird. Just making sure I was set and happy. Then I picked up my fork and went to work. The seabass was perfect. Flaky. Moist. Zero dryness. I cleaned the plate like it was auditioning for the dishwasher. And yes I did all of this with my non dominant hand while my broken wrist chilled in its sling like it was on a beach vacation. The commitment was real. The total was $100 before tip not counting the gifted potatoes. Honestly worth every penny for a stress-free meal with flawless service and perfectly cooked fish. To wrap things up they brought out two bite sized chocolate chip cookies which felt like a tiny reward for being an adult and treating myself. Then today they phone called me for a follow up. Thinking the call was that I left my credit card there. (It happens to me way more often than it should). Turns out they just wanted to check in and make sure my experience was good. You don't see that often. And no this wasn't hosted. I wasn't invited. I wasn't fed for free. I just had a great time and wanted to share. If you want a solid higher end dinner or a date night spot in Charlotte, Steak 48 stays locked in. They were slammed on a Wednesday so make a reservation unless you want to play the bar seat lottery. In celebration of my husband's birthday, we decided to have dinner at Steak 48! This isn't our first time dining here, and definitely won't be our last. Each time the experiences feel even more elevated, and I think they can't top the last time and somehow they do! Our waiter Charles was top notch! Unmatched! We tried the fried lobster tails for our appetizer. So darn good. We typically do the lobster rolls or shrimp/calamari. You just can't go wrong.
