    Crab Cake "Oscar"

Had a great experience. Went on a Thursday evening and it was pretty crowded. The restaurant isn't too spaced out seating wise so everyone was kind of on top of each other but that did not take away from the dining. Our waitress was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the menu: entrees, sides, and drinks which allowed us to make good choices as it was a first visit. All of the items we ordered were served properly and in a timely manner so that the food was enjoyed at prep temperature. There was a nice intimate setting with low lighting and music playing with a bar and televisions around the restaurant. Definitely planning a return!

First class service from drinks to dessert. Great staff recommendations (our stellar server was Kayla) on cocktails, specials and perfect pacing. Delicious King Crab - expensive at $200 - but that was the best l've ever had outside of Hawaii. Sizzling lamb chops with perfect loaded potatoes, split for two. Turned a Friday night into a memorable celebration of life.

What an amazing experience it was to dine here, the staff 3ad all so nice and helpful. The menu selection is great with lots of steak options as well as a little bit of seafood. The sides were amazing, I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something new. I had the 22oz bone in ribeye and it was so good! The only thing I didn't like was how dark it was where I was sitting, but besides that I enjoyed my dinng experience and am looking forward to returning again.

Such a beautiful experience. No pictures of dinner (rookie mistake). We arrived a little early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and had a drink. Once our table was ready, the hostess came to get us and took us to our table. Our waiter was phenomenal! He had great knowledge of the menu and was able to explain certain items and gave good recommendations. Dinner was great! The ambiance was better. Food was delish and we left with no complaints at all. Please check them out! Definitely great for date nights and anniversary dinners!

A good steakhouse conveniently located offering a great food and drink menu. My wife and I came here for the first time to celebrate her birthday. I made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday and was clear about the reason of the reservation (to celebrate my wife's birthday). I received a confirmation and strict instructions about the dress code, which was mostly about formal/dressy code. The location is in South Park, which is one of the nicest areas in Charlotte. There is a free parking garage with plenty of spaces, but valet parking is also available. The hostess was very professional and courteous. We were taken to one of the two bars to sit, and we were surprised because we expected a table, so I requested one. They were very professional and immediately took us to one. However, we noticed there were about three different areas, and we were offered a table in the "sports" section in which there were 2 TVs playing football games and a bit of loud music (pop and rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s). The menu is great and has a lot of options of meat and some sea food. It also has good options of side orders, desserts, wines and cocktails.   We went for the 45-day dry aged bone-in ribeye, 12 oz. NY strip, corn creme brulee, heirloom tomato salad and burrata with two cocktails and a cake/ice cream dessert called Ultimate. Everything was delicious! The service was fantastic!  I definitely recommend it, but for the price we paid in a  fine dining restaurant, I would not want to eat watching ball games with that type of music and quite a few people around not following the dress code recommended (a few t-shirts with logos, a man wearing a cap, and another one wearing bermuda shorts. I don't want to sound I'm complaining, but we were expecting a different vibe in this type of steakhouse.  We will actually come back because the service and food were fantastic!

SPEECHLESS! First of all, hands down the best service I've ever had anywhere in Charlotte! I am big on service these days, post covid has been a nightmare dining out. Steak 48 has restored my faith in the possibility of excellent customer service. The food was AMAZING! Steaks were cooked perfectly to the requested temperature. We tried the 45 day aged steak and the bone-in filet mignon...WOW! My favorite side item had to be the corn crème brûlée...can't stop thinking about it. We also tried the crab and shrimp mac & cheese, also delicious. All sides are shareable, but I might have to get my own corn crème brûlée next time lol. Ambiance is very nice and cozy. Perfect for date nights and special occasions. I wouldn't say good forbig parties because it was nice for it to not be so loud in there. Dressy casual for sure as far as dress code. And valet is not complimentary but $8 which was worth it not having to walk far in heels. Overall, I loved their dining experience and highly recommend this steak house. So glad they chose Charlotte as one of their locations.

5 star may be too Low. I really thought steak 48 was Hype. Was I wrong in the worst way. From the service provided at the Hostess desk to our Wonderful server Mickey The service was top notch and very accommodating. Loved the intimate atmosphere. The drinks and food was absolutely amazing. Some I'm not fond of Brussels sprouts was So tasty. The shrimp and crab Mac & cheese is in a class of its own. The Lobsters were juicy and delicious. Even the Carmel dessert was something outta this world. A great place to share our anniversary! Thank you!

    Bone in Ribeye
    Ian N.

Bone in Ribeye (5/5): Delicious ribeye. Perfectly seared and full of flavor. Top tier steak. Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake (5/5): Maybe the best cake I've ever had. I'm not typically a big fan of cake, but the texture of this cake (particularly the edges) was almost more like a cookie. The gelato on top paired perfectly with the cake, and the pecans added a nice crunch. Glad I went with this but honestly all the desserts looked amazing. Corn Creme Brulee (5/5): Almost like a dessert side. The crunchy caramelized sugar added some great texture to the very sweet creamed corn. Braised Pork Belly (5/5): Loved the sweet Thai chili sauce. The pork belly itself had a good ratio of fat to meat. Petite Filet Mignon (4/5): Not as tender as some other filets I've had, but still very good. Well seasoned and seared. Roasted Brussel Sprouts (4/5): I liked the big chunks of bacon, but the flavor was a little lacking. The bacon flavor was surprisingly muted and it was pretty one dimensional. I also prefer when the sprouts are crispy and these weren't at all. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

An Unforgettable Culinary Journey: Steak 48 Is a Masterclass in the Steakhouse Experience! From the moment I walked through the doors of Steak 48 in Charlotte, I knew I was in for something special. Even with high expectations, I was completely blown away. The space itself is stunning, upscale, modern, and buzzing with just the right kind of energy. You know you're walking into a high-end, big-city steakhouse where every detail matters. I sat at a high-top table in the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Hamira, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and an absolute pro. This wasn't just dinner, it was a foodie adventure, curated and guided by one of the best servers I've ever had. She didn't just take my order. She crafted a journey, from cocktails to appetizers, to the main course, wine pairing, and dessert. She asked the right questions, listened, and tailored the experience to exactly what I was looking for: bold flavors, high-end execution, and the chance to try something new. The Prelude I started with the Orange & Rye Old Fashioned. Bold, smooth, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. The citrus cut beautifully through the richness of my appetizer. Complimentary Bread Service Before anything else, they brought out a bread service that was worthy of its own spotlight. Perfectly warm, crispy on the outside, soft and steaming inside. One half brushed with garlic butter, the other with Parmesan butter. I intentionally saved pieces throughout the meal to dip into the truffle bacon glaze during the appetizer and into the steak juices during the main course. It was that good. Appetizer: Hanging Bacon with Truffle Honey & Togarashi The presentation? Stunning. The flavor? Out of this world. The bacon was thick-cut, smoky, and literally melted in my mouth. The drizzle of truffle honey brought that earthy-sweet richness, while the togarashi (a Japanese spice blend with chili, sesame, orange peel, and nori) added just the right kick of warmth and complexity. It was umami, sweet, spicy, and savory perfection. Hamira's cocktail pairing elevated it even more. The Main Event: 45 Day Dry-Aged 22oz Bone-In Ribeye This was my first dry-aged steak. Hamira explained the difference between wet-aged and dry-aged (the moisture loss, the flavor concentration, the earthy, nutty undertones) and every word rang true as I took my first bite. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the steak was incredibly juicy yet deeply flavorful, with a complex, beefy richness that lingered long after each bite. The crust was absolute perfection. This wasn't just a steak, it was a revelation. Hands down, the best steak I've ever had. The Wine Paired with a medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which had just the right structure and acidity to complement the intensity of the dry-aged beef without overpowering it. Absolutely perfect. The Finale: Triple Chocolate Bombe Rich, elegant, and decadent with a flowing mousse center, a crisp chocolate shell, and a picture-perfect presentation. The ideal way to close out a meal like this. What truly made this experience unforgettable wasn't just the food (though it was phenomenal). It was the thoughtful storytelling and guidance by Hamira. She turned this from a great meal into a culinary experience. I didn't feel like I was just dining. I felt like I was part of something carefully crafted and personal. If you're looking for a special night out, whether solo, with a partner, or to celebrate something meaningful, go to Steak 48. Don't just order. Trust the process. Let your server lead. Savor every course. You'll leave with more than just a full stomach, you'll leave with a food memory that stays with you. Bravo to the team and especially to Hamira. I'll be talking about this one for a long time.

No complaints when I stop in. This place has such a good vibe, always lively no matter what day of the week. The food is always delicious and the staff are always attentive. Tonight was no different.

To go box. Had a hair in it. Had to toss.

Went for a business dinner. One of the best ribeyes I have ever had. Cooked perfectly and just incredible. Service was impeccable. Great sides and wine list. Dinged them a star when I found a hair in my to go box the day after when I went to eat my leftovers. Had to toss. Called the restaurant to let them know and the woman told me I would be getting an email with some sort of compensation. Never got an email. That's worse than the hair. Still highly recommend.

One more question?.... Is there booths available?

    Yes, we do!

Is there seating by the window for a view?

We have a few tables that are by windows, I would recommend dining in the Magnolia room.

Hoping to come in on a Saturday with husband and sit at the bar? We'd like to avoid waiting. What time does the bar start to fill up?

Our bar tends to fill up rather quickly on the weekends, so I would say the sooner the better.

Do they do anything for younger customers? Not a kids menu, but some steak houses will have a smaller cut for kids.

Hi David, we do not have any off menu items that are smaller cuts. Some of our dishes can be great for sharing, and some of our appetizers and side dishes can be great meals for children. We look forward to seeing you.

What is the off menu wagyu steak that is sharable? We can remember the exact name but would like to go back and order again. Does anyone know the name?

We have a few off menu Wagyu options. The best one for sharing would be our tomahawk. 40oz bone in ribeye wagyu. We also offer a 12oz butchers cut, which is the cap of the wagyu ribeye.

Does this restaurant have a vegetarian menu or any way to accommodate vegetarian guests?

Hello, No specific vegetarian menu but we do offer a vegetarian pasta dish or a vegetarian plate with 3 vegetable choices as an entree. Plenty of vegetable options as side dishes as well and can modify any salad to omit meat when possible.

    Does the establishment allow kids?

Yes as long as they bring their wallet. But I wouldn't go with every kid. Only if the kid is well behaved and likes fancy restaurants. If it's a rambunctious toddler no.

With Covid restrictions can I still reserve for more than 10 people or it doesn't matter?

I'm not completely sure. I would say because this place is so upscale it wouldn't shock me if you couldn't. But be mindful of the requirements to dine here that are in place now. There's a certain amount each person has to spend. It may be different…

    What is the corkage policy?

Hello, At the present time we do not allow outside wine to be consumed in the restaurant. Please…

Do you have to pay $100 per person?

Not at this location! Hope to see you soon.

How do you even get reservations that aren't at 4:45 or 9pm? I called 3 months in advance and still unable to find availability.

You don't. This is a very popular restaurant. The food and service is outstanding. They are routinely booked 4 months plus in advance.

Where can I find the Mother's Day brunch menu?

I bet it is just the normal menu. Just guessing.

We came on a Saturday evening and arrived just in time to catch the sunset before starting our meal, which felt like the perfect start to the night. We ordered our first round of drinks, and the ladies at the table opted for the Osusume while the gentlemen ordered directly from the menu (there were four of us total). The drinks took a little while to arrive, but nothing that raised any red flags yet. Service started to feel off once the food began coming out. One of the guys received his appetizer, entrée, and side of rice almost immediately--basically all at once--while the other received his entrée well before his appetizer. As for the Osusume, it started strong with the first three dishes coming out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, that momentum stopped completely. We then waited 45 minutes to an hour before the next dish appeared. Our server did acknowledge the delays, which we appreciated, but that was about the extent of it. At one point he stopped checking in altogether, likely because he had no updates for us. What was frustrating was that we never even had the opportunity to order another round of drinks while we waited. After a couple of hours, one person in our group had to leave. Meanwhile, my friend and I were still waiting on at least three more courses from the Osusume (we were told it would be 6-9 courses). My friend's husband eventually went to the host stand to ask for a manager. When the manager arrived, we were given conflicting explanations as to why our food still hadn't come out. By this point it had been over three hours, and we still had three courses left to receive. Another friend left because the wait had become so unreasonable. Unfortunately, the manager didn't offer anything to help make up for the experience--no drinks while we waited, no gesture for the delay, nothing beyond explanations that didn't quite line up. Walking past the kitchen, things appeared chaotic and disorganized. It honestly seemed like our order may have gotten lost in the shuffle more than anything else. Tables that were seated well after us were able to order, eat, and leave. At one point a group of about ten celebrating a birthday came in after us, enjoyed their entire meal, cut a cake, and left while we were still waiting. Even small touches fell through the cracks. We never received the lemon or water enhancements that were being brought to other tables, and getting a simple water refill often took 30+ minutes. Going that long without any drink--water included--is tough for a restaurant of this caliber. Eventually, because it had gotten so late, we asked to have the remaining courses packaged to go. Unfortunately, that experience wasn't much better. The food was poorly packaged and didn't seem intended to be shared between two people, which made it difficult to properly enjoy what should have been the remaining courses of the Osusume experience. In the end, we were offered a series of explanations but not much in the way of service recovery. We were patient throughout the entire experience and didn't make a scene, but the lack of communication and basic hospitality made the evening feel like a missed opportunity. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. Lack of service is one thing, but when concerns are raised to a manager and they seem to be brushed off, it makes the experience even more disappointing. I could maybe forgive slow service if it were a one-off situation, but the lack of ownership or effort to make things right makes it hard to suggest this spot to others. Come at your own risk and be ready for disappointment.

I always enjoy coming in and sitting at the bar, waiting for my table because of how busy it is. I could get a reservation, but I'd rather hang out, and order an app, and people watch or have some conversation with the locals. I don't often drink, but the prickly pear margarita on the patio in the spring/summer is 10/10. The bartender Jay is always on it, he has a great memory, and will put in your order before you get the words out. I've had everything from the filet mignon to the sushi, and seasonal fish options during the holidays. Everything has been pretty great every time. The only critique I have for the food is, with the calamari. Stop adding peppers onto the pile, you can't tell what's calamari and what's peppers. There are often more peppers than calamari. All in all this place can live off word of mouth alone. If you go more than once, you typically see the same groups of individuals every week. And in today's volatile market, that's how you last. Pro tip: You can't go wrong with any dessert, the sundae, carrot cake, or brownie...it's all worth the calorie splurge.

I decided to try this restaurant while visiting Charlotte for a conference as it was right next to…read morethe hotel. It was easy to make a reservation on their website, and I recommend a reservation as it was very busy on a Saturday night. The interior has quite an upscale feeling with dim lighting and an overall premium feeling. I was seated right away, and the server was quite helpful and friendly. I had the charred grapefruit cocktail which was flavorful and balanced. Delicious! I was curious about the deviled eggs, and the server mentioned that I could try a half order. They were delicious! The sugar bacon accompanying them was truly delicious as well! I also had the house salad with honey mustard dressing which was a delicious salad with fresh vegetables, eggs, and bacon! For an entree I had the "prime meatloaf" which had a very nice presentation (see photo). I substituted a baked potato with bacon and chives. The potato was delicious with a perfectly fluffy filling. The meatloaf was flavorful and tender, but the sauce was a bit salty and overpowered the meatloaf. Maybe ask for the sauce on the side if you try this dish. For dessert I had the key lime pie. It had a wonderfully tart, custardy filling. The macadamia nut crust was almost a little bit too crunchy, and I would've preferred a more traditional graham cracker crust. Overall, this was a very tasty dining experience!

I LOVED this place! Randomly found it on Open Table for a somewhat early Galentine's Dinner and we…read morehad such a great time! They had a special Valentine's Day menu and their normal menu as well. I got the bourbon salmon with Parmesan risotto and broccolini. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto and broccolini were well seasoned. I also ordered the zucchini fries which were great as well. Some other great hits at the table were the Baked Rigatoni and Marry Me Salmon (Valentine's specials), truffle fries, Tiger steak, Boom Boom Shrimp, Turkey Meatballs, and the Philly egg rolls. Some were not a fan of the lobster egg rolls, lamb lollipops, and the red velvet cheesecake. Though they weren't terrible, friends felt these items lacked flavor and were just okay. It's a great space for groups and definitely would recommend making a reservation. Later in the evening, they had live music. The piano player was great and created such a fun atmosphere! We also had a cool server who took great care of us and had us laughing through the night (S/O to Ivan!) I highly recommend this space for a fun night out with your boo and/or your girls!

After perusing, I ordered a Tequila Mucho -- listed as a chefs special cocktail with pomegranate juiced tequila. It was refreshing. I chose the bourbon salmon large plate with two sides for my meal and it was very flavorful. Then I chose a blueberry lemon cheesecake dessert since Dustin said the cheesecakes were made in house and it sweet and tart and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be back! The offer drink specials daily -- Wednesdays I think is $5 house wine and half off martinis.
