    Such a beautiful experience. No pictures of dinner (rookie mistake). We arrived a little early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and had a drink. Once our table was ready, the hostess came to get us and took us to our table. Our waiter was phenomenal! He had great knowledge of the menu and was able to explain certain items and gave good recommendations. Dinner was great! The ambiance was better. Food was delish and we left with no complaints at all. Please check them out! Definitely great for date nights and anniversary dinners!

    SPEECHLESS! First of all, hands down the best service I've ever had anywhere in Charlotte! I am big on service these days, post covid has been a nightmare dining out. Steak 48 has restored my faith in the possibility of excellent customer service. The food was AMAZING! Steaks were cooked perfectly to the requested temperature. We tried the 45 day aged steak and the bone-in filet mignon...WOW! My favorite side item had to be the corn crème brûlée...can't stop thinking about it. We also tried the crab and shrimp mac & cheese, also delicious. All sides are shareable, but I might have to get my own corn crème brûlée next time lol. Ambiance is very nice and cozy. Perfect for date nights and special occasions. I wouldn't say good forbig parties because it was nice for it to not be so loud in there. Dressy casual for sure as far as dress code. And valet is not complimentary but $8 which was worth it not having to walk far in heels. Overall, I loved their dining experience and highly recommend this steak house. So glad they chose Charlotte as one of their locations.

    5 star may be too Low. I really thought steak 48 was Hype. Was I wrong in the worst way. From the service provided at the Hostess desk to our Wonderful server Mickey The service was top notch and very accommodating. Loved the intimate atmosphere. The drinks and food was absolutely amazing. Some I'm not fond of Brussels sprouts was So tasty. The shrimp and crab Mac & cheese is in a class of its own. The Lobsters were juicy and delicious. Even the Carmel dessert was something outta this world. A great place to share our anniversary! Thank you!

    Bone in Ribeye (5/5): Delicious ribeye. Perfectly seared and full of flavor. Top tier steak. Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake (5/5): Maybe the best cake I've ever had. I'm not typically a big fan of cake, but the texture of this cake (particularly the edges) was almost more like a cookie. The gelato on top paired perfectly with the cake, and the pecans added a nice crunch. Glad I went with this but honestly all the desserts looked amazing. Corn Creme Brulee (5/5): Almost like a dessert side. The crunchy caramelized sugar added some great texture to the very sweet creamed corn. Braised Pork Belly (5/5): Loved the sweet Thai chili sauce. The pork belly itself had a good ratio of fat to meat. Petite Filet Mignon (4/5): Not as tender as some other filets I've had, but still very good. Well seasoned and seared. Roasted Brussel Sprouts (4/5): I liked the big chunks of bacon, but the flavor was a little lacking. The bacon flavor was surprisingly muted and it was pretty one dimensional. I also prefer when the sprouts are crispy and these weren't at all. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

From the moment I walked through the doors of Steak 48 in Charlotte, I knew I was in for something special. Even with high expectations, I was completely blown away. The space itself is stunning, upscale, modern, and buzzing with just the right kind of energy. You know you're walking into a high-end, big-city steakhouse where every detail matters. I sat at a high-top table in the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Hamira, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and an absolute pro. This wasn't just dinner, it was a foodie adventure, curated and guided by one of the best servers I've ever had. She didn't just take my order. She crafted a journey, from cocktails to appetizers, to the main course, wine pairing, and dessert. She asked the right questions, listened, and tailored the experience to exactly what I was looking for: bold flavors, high-end execution, and the chance to try something new. The Prelude I started with the Orange & Rye Old Fashioned. Bold, smooth, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. The citrus cut beautifully through the richness of my appetizer. Complimentary Bread Service Before anything else, they brought out a bread service that was worthy of its own spotlight. Perfectly warm, crispy on the outside, soft and steaming inside. One half brushed with garlic butter, the other with Parmesan butter. I intentionally saved pieces throughout the meal to dip into the truffle bacon glaze during the appetizer and into the steak juices during the main course. It was that good. Appetizer: Hanging Bacon with Truffle Honey & Togarashi The presentation? Stunning. The flavor? Out of this world. The bacon was thick-cut, smoky, and literally melted in my mouth. The drizzle of truffle honey brought that earthy-sweet richness, while the togarashi (a Japanese spice blend with chili, sesame, orange peel, and nori) added just the right kick of warmth and complexity. It was umami, sweet, spicy, and savory perfection. Hamira's cocktail pairing elevated it even more. The Main Event: 45 Day Dry-Aged 22oz Bone-In Ribeye This was my first dry-aged steak. Hamira explained the difference between wet-aged and dry-aged (the moisture loss, the flavor concentration, the earthy, nutty undertones) and every word rang true as I took my first bite. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the steak was incredibly juicy yet deeply flavorful, with a complex, beefy richness that lingered long after each bite. The crust was absolute perfection. This wasn't just a steak, it was a revelation. Hands down, the best steak I've ever had. The Wine Paired with a medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which had just the right structure and acidity to complement the intensity of the dry-aged beef without overpowering it. Absolutely perfect. The Finale: Triple Chocolate Bombe Rich, elegant, and decadent with a flowing mousse center, a crisp chocolate shell, and a picture-perfect presentation. The ideal way to close out a meal like this. What truly made this experience unforgettable wasn't just the food (though it was phenomenal). It was the thoughtful storytelling and guidance by Hamira. She turned this from a great meal into a culinary experience. I didn't feel like I was just dining. I felt like I was part of something carefully crafted and personal. If you're looking for a special night out, whether solo, with a partner, or to celebrate something meaningful, go to Steak 48. Don't just order. Trust the process. Let your server lead.     Why haven't you come here yet? I want to come here every day, but special occasions are more realistic. I only have good things to say about Steak 48. Every single time we come here, we leave full and counting the days until we can come back. Parking is simple, and even simpler if you valet. It's not hard to find at all. The food is simply incredible. I love seafood, so for me, this is truly heaven. They have all the seafood your heart could desire. I love getting an appetizer. I haven't had one I didn't enjoy. My significant other has a gluten allergy, and most of the items can be made gluten-free, but he usually skips the appetizer for the main course. He always gets a steak, which he loves! I usually get scallops, crab cakes, or sometimes both. What would a dinner be without dessert, and the red velvet bread pudding is to die for! Obviously, it is delicious, but the service is truly unmatched. Jeff is incredible, and we try to request him every time because he really makes us feel like family.

    Went for a business dinner. One of the best ribeyes I have ever had. Cooked perfectly and just incredible. Service was impeccable. Great sides and wine list. Dinged them a star when I found a hair in my to go box the day after when I went to eat my leftovers. Had to toss. Called the restaurant to let them know and the woman told me I would be getting an email with some sort of compensation. Never got an email. That's worse than the hair. Still highly recommend.

    This spot totally hit the mark. My Shetland Island Salmon was cooked perfectly moist and was very flavorful. My wife's Maryland-style Lump Crab Cakes were packed with fresh crab and had a crispy coating on the outside. We shared some Brussels Sprouts, which were delicious. They just the right amount of char and seasoning. And since it was her birthday, the restaurant offered her a complementary dessert of her choice. She chose the Chocolate Sorbet because the Very Chocolate Cake and the Vanilla Caramel Butter Cake were both too sinful for her taste and she didn't want to live with the guilt. Rest assured, this is a very nice restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

    On December 3, 2025, I hosted a dinner at this restaurant. Prior to our visit, my manager and the restaurant exchanged multiple emails to plan the evening, including menu selections and quantities. We provided a proposed list, and the restaurant explicitly stated it would not be sufficient, recommending additional items. Relying on their guidance, we agreed to their recommendations. Upon arrival, staff asked to identify the host and how we would like to proceed with ordering. When wine was requested, I stated, "Yes, get a good house wine or something similar," with the clear expectation that this would be a reasonably priced, standard option. Instead, the staff brought a $400 bottle of wine without mentioning the price. This was followed by seven additional bottles (8 total) at the same price point, and later eight more bottles priced around $200 each. At no time were prices disclosed, clarified, or confirmed, despite the unusually high volume and cost. This was not a single misunderstanding -- it was a repeated pattern throughout the evening. In addition to the A5 Wagyu was insisted by staff. There are so many voids and orders. There was clearly some adjustments. But I'm not going to make accusations. I'll let you see for yourself in the bill. Given the level of advance coordination, the scale of the order, and multiple clear opportunities to pause and confirm pricing, it is difficult to view this as an oversight. What should have reasonably been a $5,000-$6,000 dinner ultimately exceeded $11,000. I am sharing this experience as a caution to all guests dining here. Be extremely explicit about pricing and do not assume staff will act in good faith when making selections on your behalf. Based on this experience, the restaurant appears willing to take advantage of ambiguity rather than provide transparency. In addition, I contacted the restaurant on 12/15/25 they said they would call. They didn't. I called the manager Maddy. She didn't answer.

    Went to Steak 48 to celebrate my dads 70th and parents anniversary. Our reservation was at 6:45 and we did not get seated until 7:30. While it was frustrating, the staff did everything in their ability to accommodate us and the delay. Our server (I forgot her name but it was similar to Hermany/Hermione) was nothing SHORT OF AMAZING !!! She was detailed, very energetic and charismatic. She had us smiling all night. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed when ordering. She walked us step by step from Apps, Entree to Desserts ! We were seated in the lounge but we still were able to be intimate with each other. The music choice was good and the staff were quick. My family felt special and we were treated with so much respect, kindness and love here. My family lives out of town and are still raving that this is the BEST steakhouse they've been too. A once in a lifetime. No pictures of the food because we were so excited. Thank you steak48 for making our night memorable. Ps The Red Velvet Bread Pudding was a 20/10 needs to be sold in stores

    Our bar tends to fill up rather quickly on the weekends, so I would say the sooner the better.

    Do they do anything for younger customers? Not a kids menu, but some steak houses will have a smaller cut for kids.

    Hi David, we do not have any off menu items that are smaller cuts. Some of our dishes can be great for sharing, and some of our appetizers and side dishes can be great meals for children. We look forward to seeing you.

    We have a few off menu Wagyu options. The best one for sharing would be our tomahawk. 40oz bone in ribeye wagyu. We also offer a 12oz butchers cut, which is the cap of the wagyu ribeye.

    Hello, No specific vegetarian menu but we do offer a vegetarian pasta dish or a vegetarian plate with 3 vegetable choices as an entree. Plenty of vegetable options as side dishes as well and can modify any salad to omit meat when possible.

    Does the establishment allow kids?

    Yes as long as they bring their wallet. But I wouldn't go with every kid. Only if the kid is well behaved and likes fancy restaurants. If it's a rambunctious toddler no.

    With Covid restrictions can I still reserve for more than 10 people or it doesn't matter?

    You don't. This is a very popular restaurant. The food and service is outstanding. They are routinely booked 4 months plus in advance.

They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. It was already quite busy when we arrived and it's not clear where your parking options are. You would THINK they would at least have a Valet option of Sat/Sun during Brunch. To park, go BEHIND the restaurant on the street to the left and you'll see some free parking options that are close and walkable. We asked for a table on the patio and were immediately seated. The bar was already buzzing with solo diners enjoying their Mimosas. The patio is NOT that big, a little over crowded and table are very close with not much space in between. It had all the right ingredients but the ROUX was to strong, dark and heavy. It actually gave me indigestion afterwards. The service was OUTSTANDING. Our Server was Daylean, she was so nice and helpful with the menu and kept our refills coming.

The only critique I have for the food is, with the calamari. Stop adding peppers onto the pile, you can't tell what's calamari and what's peppers. There are often more peppers than calamari. All in all this place can live off word of mouth alone. If you go more than once, you typically see the same groups of individuals every week. And in today's volatile market, that's how you last. Pro tip: You can't go wrong with any dessert, the sundae, carrot cake, or brownie...it's all worth the calorie splurge.

It's a great space for groups and definitely would recommend making a reservation. Later in the evening, they had live music. The piano player was great and created such a fun atmosphere! I chose the bourbon salmon large plate with two sides for my meal and it was very flavorful. Then I chose a blueberry lemon cheesecake dessert since Dustin said the cheesecakes were made in house and it sweet and tart and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be back! The offer drink specials daily -- Wednesdays I think is $5 house wine and half off martinis.

We got there at approximately 5:15pm free parking a short walk from the restaurant. The area is extremely clean, quiet, there were people out, but it was not crowded or busy at all. We were seated immediately, and I could see into the kitchen as the staff worked on preparing our meals. Extremely clean, I loved the decor, the environment, even the music was wonderful. Very calming and level. Service was stellar. OK now the food?! Pimento Cheese Scones Thai Spareribs Mussels Scallops Pork Tenderloin Lemon Poppyseed Zeppolis Butterscotch Pot de Crème I ordered the pimento cheese scones, which were excellent and went beautifully with the sauce that the mussels and the scallops were in! You get one piece of crostini for the mussels and it was gone, of course. Those scones? I scooped up every bit of sauce in both seafood dishes. It was THAT good! INCREDIBLE! I begged the manager to please please do not take the mussels or the scallops off the menu! Apparently, they rotate menu items regularly. I could not get over the seafood, neither one of us could stop talking about the size of the mussels. The freshness, the texture was perfect. I love seafood? Hands down. Those were the best mussels I have had anywhere. They were out of the shell and I'm not gonna lie. I was a little nervous when I first saw them. Honestly? We will go back and there will be more than one order of mussels to go around if they're still on the menu! He did share that they brought them in from Maine and explained the location that they were purchased from was very controlled. Pristine. Can I just tell you? It showed! We ordered the Thai spare rib, which was cooked perfectly and so tender it came right off the bone. A balanced and even flavor as well. We will definitely order those again if they have them. I had the pork tenderloin with dirty rice stuffed cabbage. It was fresh and beautifully cooked, but my daughter enjoyed it more than I did. That by the way is a personal preference I just felt after having the seafood? Nothing was going to compare. My daughter had the scallops again that cream sauce was just phenomenal! It was definitely different ingredients different flavor than the sauce used with the mussels, but they've got a winning recipe. Let me tell you. The pimento cheese scones were the best compliment to the sauces and the seafood dishes. Not to forget the spreads that they brought with the pimento cheese scones. They were excellent as well. Last we had dessert and I ordered the lemon poppyseed Zeppoli's, which were good. I felt they could've been a little lighter on the inside. They were slightly gummy, but the flavor was excellent. Again, a personal taste, especially being Italian and having them homemade by family. My daughter's dessert was to die for. Butterscotch Pot De Crème. Seriously, the ingredients they used and the combination of flavors. It was just spot on! I don't think any other dessert would've compared - it just really stood out and we ordered it on the recommendation of our wonderful server. He said it definitely was a favorite and he was right. I will be going back to Peppervine and I highly recommend it however, the seafood is what did it for me. That was my absolute favorite.

As someone based in Seattle and not attending in person, I spent considerable time researching restaurants in Charlotte that could accommodate a group of 12 executives, offer private or semi-private dining, and meet a high standard of service. The Peppervine exceeded expectations on all fronts. I worked closely with Tommy Trull, who immediately put me at ease. He was incredibly responsive to my (many) emails and even took the time to connect over the phone to walk through menu options and service details. His willingness to collaborate and accommodate our needs made the planning process seamless. Tommy was also very flexible--he thoughtfully adjusted the menu to accommodate food sensitivities, and when our headcount changed at the last minute, he allowed the group to order off the menu instead of sticking to the pre-selected options. They also offered a very reasonable food and beverage minimum, especially given the level of service and flexibility provided. Our guests had a fantastic experience, and everything was executed flawlessly. Peppervine is an excellent choice for business dining, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
