Oak steakhouse went far and beyond for my best friends bachelors party. April was our waiter and was phenomenal. She was intentional and kind the entire night. Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've been to in years. Staff made the night!

Market Fresh (rainbow trout), red mashed potatoes and asparagus.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Our server, John, provided exceptional service and made sure every detail of our evening was memorable--from the drinks to the final course. We enjoyed the Oak Classic, including the oyster rockefeller, filet mignon, market fresh (rainbow trout), and dessert, all of which were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was intimate, clean, and perfectly dimmed, creating the ideal setting for a special night.

I went here for a work event, so can't talk about prices. But I can talk about that steak. Oh my god that was amazing. The drinks menu had some interesting cocktails that I'll definitely plan to come back for. The atmosphere is very high end. Low lights for a good feeling of privacy. Great overall!

My husband and I had a reservation for 5:30pm the Sunday after Valentine's Day. The restaurant opens at 5:00pm and by all appearances the reservation had been unnecessary - there was one other couple dining when we arrived. I was surprised later reservation times had not been available as it still didn't seem very full at 6:30pm. The hostess and our waiter were wonderful. Very attentive and kind. Water glasses were kept full and the food came out quickly. We both ordered the filet medium, and we also ordered the table mac and cheese. Our waiter gifted us the brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes, which were both excellent. We are glad we got to try them as we would choose them over the Mac in future. We are not usually big fans of Brussels but the sauce was delicious and they were tender. The steak was absolute perfection, it melted in the mouth. The medium was a true medium. The only thing that surprised me was that the waiter was quick to take the serving board of sides. With only two of us eating three table size sides, there was quite a bit left of each. I expected him to box them up and return them but our check was paid and it became clear he was not returning. I understand two of the three sides were gifted, but better to take them home to convince our family (the babysitters of the night) they need to visit also than to trash them. Overall, the ambiance was lovely, the food delicious, and the gifted sides a generous touch. We would return!

On a tip from an uber driver,we book reservations. Love the decor and the place was bustling. Got seated in the 2nd room and had a great meal.

WOW! My wife and I had dinner at Oak Steakhouse for our one year anniversary last evening. It was incredible. They made it so special for us. We were treated to the best seat in the house with beautiful flower petals. The manager, Ken Smith ,personally worked with me to print special menus with a photo from our wedding. My wife loved it. We've never experienced hospitality and care like we got at Oak Steakhouse. The quiet atmosphere feels private and cozy with soft lighting, and is beautifully decorated. The food was beyond great. Do yourself a favor and get the fried oysters. Get the steak cooked to perfection. The brussel sprouts are divine. We even got to toast marshmallows at our table and have beautifully elevated s'mores. Decadent cheesecake with savory strawberry compote. This was a dinner for the ages. I just can't say enough good things. Thank you all so much for taking care of us. It was a very special evening. Special thanks to Ken and our server, Melissa

I'd never been here but had a gift card to Indigo Road Hospitality group restaurants. It was Queens Feast 1/2025, so no better time to check out this hip, intimate, but yet classic upscale vibe steakhouse. Our reservation was for 2ppl at 6:30 pm on Sunday, the last day of Queens Feast and throughout the evening it got pretty busy. It's not super fancy but not casual. The atmosphere is dark and intimate, deff good for a date night. However, there were families & groups of ladies dining, and a 70th birthday dinner in their private dining room. Our server, April was fantastic and super cool! We ordered a bottle of Robert Hall Cab and it was good! For the price point, I've learned it's more economical to get a bottle of wine than individual glasses or cocktails which were $16-22 each. They also have a book of more expansive wine options to choose from on the higher end. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller for my appetizer, it came with 2. It was my first time having them and they were tasty. For my entree I had the Surf and Turf, which was a 6oz CAB bistro steak and 3 grilled shrimp. It was delicious but the portion was not what I was expecting and it didn't come with a side or accompaniment like some of the others entrees did. So I ordered the Mac & Cheese and it was sooo good, creamy and cheesy! For dessert I selected the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake which was delicious. My husband had the CAB meatballs w/polenta appetizer which I sampled and I wish I had gotten them! His entree was the Steak Frites. His steak was the same CAB bistro I had... but those herb & truffles frites were the best I've had: the perfect crisp! The Dark Chocolate Torte was the dessert he chose and it was too rich for him, but I enjoyed the dense dark chocolate and chocolate crumb crust. I would return and check out Oak Steakhouse for a special occasion or Queens Feast again. Maybe the lunch menu has some different & budget friendly options to checkout as well.

Great Father's Day experience all around! Our server Aaron was great. Gave my family and I complementary bubbles for a toast to start of our dinner. A lovely touch. I really enjoyed my tequila drink. It was made with agave lime, and Campari! Loved it was refreshing, and not so sweet. For our appetizers, we got the oyster Rockefeller! They were delicious. My father, who is not a big fan of seafood, even found the flavor and texture balanced! Their wedge salad comes with crushed hard-boiled egg, which I feel is a very nice touch that a lot of restaurant wedges, lack. My mother ordered the Chilean Seabass, and was not disappointed. I tried a little bit of her fish, although I am not a fish person,it was not overly fishy. The zucchini/squash melody the bass was rested on, brought the entire dish together. My father's prime rib was sliced table side, for a little extra flare. The prime rib was very tender, prepared to a perfect medium rare. The Ajou sauce was a littttleee salty for him, but I enjoyed the sauce entirely. (I love salt, lol). For myself, I ordered the Australian lamb rack, it was rested and drizzled with chimichurri as well as some haricot verts and diced red potatoes. Out of all the dishes I tried, I may be biased, but the Australian rack of lamb seemed to be the most flavor forward dish of the night. The brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared charred perfection topped with various pickled veggies. My only negative comment for the night, was the slice of pineapple upside down cake that came with the prime ribeye special. Unfortunately it was very dry, crumbly, and lacking flavor. We did not take more than one bite. When I return, I am hoping to try the duck breast and their filet mignon! Because it was a special occasion, I wanted to try some thing I don't normally get. I order too many filets!! ¨ Again, big, thanks to Aaron our server, and the rest of Oak steakhouse staff, who made our night so memorable.

This steakhouse has never disappointed me! The food is always amazing! My rack of lamb was delicious. I ate a portion of one and most of my potatoes and a few of my green beans. The bartender was doing double duty as our server and tending the bar & he did a great job. Loved how intimate the restaurant was as well. However, my issue came when my leftovers were packed. Like I said, I ate a piece of my lamb chop & some of my veggies. When I got my food back from being bagged, the only thing that was packed was ONE portion of my lamb. No veggies or my other half eaten chop. I was horrified. I can't knock the food because it was delicious, but it hurt my feelings not to have all of my food packed up considering I had so much leftover. I really feel slighted

I picked oak for my birthday dinner and i was underwhelmed. Food was all lukewarm and not the service i was expecting from a steakhouse. We were sat and no one came to our table for about 15 minutes the waiter brought us complimentary appetizers and drinks for the delay which i really appreciated the effort. My steak was seasoned very well and tender. The truffle fries were great! The little gem was well done also. I just expected a smidge more from a steakhouse with a higher price point.

Tuesday 2/13/24 we celebrated our 31st anniversary at Oak Steakhouse CLT. Fantastic meal, service and atmosphere. Addysin was our server and she was excellent, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our visit special. 8oz filets were delicious and each cooked to perfection. Make sure you order an old fashioned and get it smoked, cool presentation and amazing taste. The entire them was great and we can't wait to return.

I've been to oak steakhouse twice and both times were such a great experience. I'm not a steak eater so for me it's the apps. The bread, beef tartar and hamachi dishes are delicious. I was not a fan of the wahoo which was a special bc it was such a tough fish. The last time I went I got try the table side options which were so much fun. The smoked watermelon tequila drink was phenomenal and the build your own s'mores was the best way to end a dinner!! The service both times has been so on point and they are always friendly and welcoming!

Once we got there we were sat down immediately. Once seated our server, very polite Spanish young woman came to greet us and took our orders. The server even recommended a kids meal for our daugther. So far so good. Our food comes and we realized we have no utensils and my daughter's noodles had no broth in it. It was dry noodles. The server comes back asked us if we needed anything and we said yes can we have some utensils please? A fork and some chopsticks and broth for my daughters noodles. They are dry. She says sure no problem and leaves. Now while we are waiting two Spanish women we seated behind us. In the time we were waiting the two guest behind us placed their orders and got their food. When the server comes back she hands us 3 pairs of chopsticks and garlic. Walks back to the two women and hands one of them a fork. Still no fork or broth my daughter's noodles. My wife had to pour the broth from her ramen into our daughter's bowl so she can eat. The server comes back again with 3 GOT DAMN SPOONS and says she couldn't find any more forks. So in the entire restaurant theirs not ONE FORK. I said but you just gave those customers a fork. Pointing to the guest behind us. She says sorry and walks over to the guest behind us. The server starts talking to the guest in Spanish but little does she know I speak Spanish. The server starts complaining about us to the guest saying that we're asking for too many things and we need to shut up and just eat our food. when I told my wife that they're talking about us, she immediately asked for the manager we explained our situation and the manager immediately comped our meal. Terrible experience. Atleast we didn't have to pay for it.

Not the worst thing in the world but when you're sitting at a bar alone it's hard not to notice. Fortunately another bartender came over, clocked that I was just sitting there unattended, and immediately smiled and handed me a menu before taking both of our orders. She turned it around quickly and that kind of awareness goes a long way. Shoutout to her. I ordered a 3oz pour of Syrah -- pretty decent, did the job. We didn't order food so I can't speak to that. It was probably 15 minutes before the server came back to tell us that they were out of chicken bowls. We then ordered the Moroccan pie. The fritters came out first. Incredible. There were crunchy and chewy and full of flavor. They sure set the bar high with this one! Unfortunately the rest of the meal was inconsistent. The cauliflower was cooked well and had a nice spice, but was lacking maybe salt. It was still good. The avocado bowl- avocado was fresh; the olive brine was interesting, but offered the seasoning that was needed; the quinoa, tomatoes, and onions had no seasoning or flavor at all; the feta and tzatziki were good. Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. I hope this stays on the menu! So good. I'm so glad this place is still going strong and busy on a Monday night! I love everything about Chapter 6, such a great spot.

My two friends and I tried this place last night for dinner. A girl dinner if you will. We were…read moresuper excited to try it as none of us had been able to make it there before since they've opened. However, to be honest, I wasn't very impressed and neither were they. We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.

Please note, Spice is reservation only on weekends. We were lucky to grab the bar seats but typically this doesn't happen. We ordered two rounds of sushi (four pieces for $19), truffle fries, wings, and a cocktail each. This spot is pricey as you can see by them charging $19 for four rolls. My date said the wings were a 6 out of 10, and I thought my sushi was 8 out of 10. The cocktails were perfectly made. This spot is a great place for dates or to attend with a group of friends if you intend to get shareable plates as it has more of a tapas feel. Overall I liked it, the staff was friendly, the vibes were great, and the DJ they had spinning had a great! playlist. I'd definitely come back.
