We got there at approximately 5:15pm free parking a short walk from the restaurant. The area is extremely clean, quiet, there were people out, but it was not crowded or busy at all. We were seated immediately, and I could see into the kitchen as the staff worked on preparing our meals. Extremely clean, I loved the decor, the environment, even the music was wonderful. Very calming and level. Service was stellar. OK now the food?! Pimento Cheese Scones Thai Spareribs Mussels Scallops Pork Tenderloin Lemon Poppyseed Zeppolis Butterscotch Pot de Crème I ordered the pimento cheese scones, which were excellent and went beautifully with the sauce that the mussels and the scallops were in! You get one piece of crostini for the mussels and it was gone, of course. Those scones? I scooped up every bit of sauce in both seafood dishes. It was THAT good! INCREDIBLE! I begged the manager to please please do not take the mussels or the scallops off the menu! Apparently, they rotate menu items regularly. I could not get over the seafood, neither one of us could stop talking about the size of the mussels. The freshness, the texture was perfect. I love seafood? Hands down. Those were the best mussels I have had anywhere. They were out of the shell and I'm not gonna lie. I was a little nervous when I first saw them. Honestly? We will go back and there will be more than one order of mussels to go around if they're still on the menu! He did share that they brought them in from Maine and explained the location that they were purchased from was very controlled. Pristine. Can I just tell you? It showed! We ordered the Thai spare rib, which was cooked perfectly and so tender it came right off the bone. A balanced and even flavor as well. We will definitely order those again if they have them. I had the pork tenderloin with dirty rice stuffed cabbage. It was fresh and beautifully cooked, but my daughter enjoyed it more than I did. That by the way is a personal preference I just felt after having the seafood? Nothing was going to compare. My daughter had the scallops again that cream sauce was just phenomenal! It was definitely different ingredients different flavor than the sauce used with the mussels, but they've got a winning recipe. Let me tell you. The pimento cheese scones were the best compliment to the sauces and the seafood dishes. Not to forget the spreads that they brought with the pimento cheese scones. They were excellent as well. Simply put: We LOVE Peppervine! To start, the ambience is amazing! The artwork and decor catches your eye as soon as you walk in and is an immediate topic of conversation! We have been here 4 times now and there is one dish that we get consistently and that's the mushroom agnolotti!! It is to die for! Absolutely outstanding! Our second visit matched our first in creativity and breadth of the menu and excellence of the service. Well done, Team! Peppervine traffics in shareable dishes (not tapas), and five for the two of us was perfect (not counting the yeast bread to start!). We opened with the beet & arugula salad, as well as the burrata in the light red and olive sauce. Both were hits (the latter more for me than the former). We then hit the apex of the night with the mushroom agnolotti pasta ... wow! It came out warm and gooey (in a good way) and is full of flavor, amazing mouth feel, and makes you want to order 2-3 more plates and turn on Netflix. Not long after came 4+5, the scallops with broccolini and the Brunzino. The fish was the only thing that didn't really wow us, but I wouldn't talk badly about it. Only thing that really bothered me is that the waitress touched my shoulder while talking to me, i enjoy my personal space and do not appreciate physical contact with strangers. Another thing she struggled to understand is no dairy no animal products besides fish, aka lent diet, she tried to convince me that butter on bread is okay even tho that does not align. Other than that my food was great, i had fish with veggies and my husband had bolognese which he was happy with but proceeded to tell me he enjoyed the homemade ones better. He did really love the bread- definitely worth a try. Overall solid experience, mocktails are delicious by the way. I would appreciate less push to order more items of the menu. P.S. Now onto the food - the menu suggests ordering 2-3 dishes so there's enough food. **there's plenty of food in single dishes, this is a plug to get you to buy more** I'd have suggested letting the waiter say that, putting it in writing made us think we were ordering over priced tapas. The food itself, AMAZING. It really was good - the appetizer bread dishes were delicious but comically TINY. Our yeast rolls weren't cooked all the way thru, but we definitely enjoyed the concept (would have preferred bigger yeast rolls for sure!). The scones were incredible... but also tiny. The pasta dishes were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and really tasty. Overall, we just felt a bit duped. There are so many unknowns when trying to remotely coordinate an important event in a place you've never been. As someone based in Seattle and not attending in person, I spent considerable time researching restaurants in Charlotte that could accommodate a group of 12 executives, offer private or semi-private dining, and meet a high standard of service. The Peppervine exceeded expectations on all fronts. I worked closely with Tommy Trull, who immediately put me at ease. He was incredibly responsive to my (many) emails and even took the time to connect over the phone to walk through menu options and service details. His willingness to collaborate and accommodate our needs made the planning process seamless. Tommy was also very flexible--he thoughtfully adjusted the menu to accommodate food sensitivities, and when our headcount changed at the last minute, he allowed the group to order off the menu instead of sticking to the pre-selected options. They also offered a very reasonable food and beverage minimum, especially given the level of service and flexibility provided. Our guests had a fantastic experience, and everything was executed flawlessly. Peppervine is an excellent choice for business dining, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. read more

Unsure how often they check though. The service and ambiance are both top notch. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders always make sure you are taken care of despite being very busy. The wine selection is good and changes, they do half off bottles on Tuesdays as well. To the food, it blew me away! For starters, their bread ($7) is to die for good! Baked when ordered it compares with Steak48s bread. Light and fluffy. I got the hanger steak last night and was impressed. Hanger steak is easy to mess up, but they did a great job! It's a thoughtfully decorated space adorned with driftwood, definitely a contemporary modern vibe. Peppervine is centrally located in a commercial plaza called Piedmont Town Center, which is located in a visually pleasing parts of the city. There is plenty of free street parking and there is also a free parking garage. It's a dinner-only restaurant and it closes on Sunday. There is a full bar for those who only want drinks. The menu offers quite a few delicious options. We went on a Friday evening without a reservation and were able to get a table. We ordered the following: DRINK: -Tongue Thai'd Mocktail (100% delicious) FOOD: - Pimento Cheese Scones (100% delicious) - Spanish Octopus (100% delicious) - Hanger Steak (100% delicious) DESSERT: -Cinnamon Apple Zeppole Donuts (100% delicious) -Caramel Corn Butter Cake (100% delicious. Came for a girls dinner and had a great experience. The place is pretty fancy with beautiful interior decor, no specified dress code but most diners were dressed fairly nice. We started with a round of cocktails- I got their signature "misty eyed margarita" which was delicious. We also started with the pimento scones which were so great we ordered another round. For dinner our server suggested sharing a few plates tapas-style. We got the General Tsos Cauliflower, Gem Salad, Braised Short Rib, and Mushroom Agnolotti. Let me tell you, everything was SO good. Had a fantastic night out at Peppervine recently, and I can say that this place lives up to the hype. This is an upscale restaurant so it runs a little on the pricey side, but the experience was definitely worth it, so if you have an event you want to celebrate or if you need a spot for a special date night, they should definitely be at the top of your list. To start we ordered their fresh baked to order yeast rolls. They are so soft and perfectly salted I could honestly eat an entire meal of them. I'm definitely glad I saved room for the bison bolognese though. So flavorful and the beef tallow ricotta was a perfect touch. One of my favorite meals I've had in quite some time. The ambience is great, and they have a killer wine list which combined with their thoughtfully curated menu puts them towards the top in the Charlotte fine dining scene. I regret not trying this earlier. Y'all should definitely check it out! We ordered the pork belly, the green curry hot pot, yeast rolls as starter. The rolls was soft and freshly baked, the pork belly was delicious, and the green curry was amazing. The monk fish and mussels were fresh and soft, not chewy or fishy. I got the 24 hours short ribs and it was delicious melt in your mouth. My husband kept making "uhm" noises when he ate this dish so you know it's good. He got the veal ragu with house made pasta, this is my least favorite dish and I wouldn't order this one again but my husband loves it. We got the sorbet trio and ice cream trio for dessert. They spoke of the perfect cook in the pasta, the delicious sauces in their respective dishes, and the overall great flavor. As we were celebrating a birthday, a complimentary dessert was bright to the table, which was the chocolate ganache cake with meringue ice cream. A truly elegant dining experience in an upscale, metropolitan atmosphere. Our service was top notch - waiter was very knowledgeable about dishes and staff kept plates cleared and checked in frequently (although not so often that it was a bother ). We were given regular menus, as well as an iPad that had "allergy menus" for just about any allergy/food sensitivity there is (gluten free, soy free, dairy free, onion/garlic/mushroom free, etc.). This was very accommodating to those with allergies. We started with a Cherry Lime Rickey mocktail. It was yummy, although we were a little disappointed that this was the only mocktail offered that night. But it was a good one! Next we had yeast rolls, which were a must! So good! Do not get me wrong, I am giving it 4 stars for a reason, but that's why I'm not giving it 5. To start, we got the scones, which were my favorite part of the meal. They weren't too cheesy, and so unique and tasty. For our app, we got the prawns. Taste just wasn't worth the $30 something we spent for them. For my main, I got the branzino. Fish itself was lovely and cooked perfectly. The sauce it came with was complex and tasted good, but it was very sweet and there was too much of it. The couscous was swimming in it and I just felt like it took over the dish entirely. My boyfriend was a big fan, but he likes sweeter things more than me. He ordered the steak and liked it very much.
