Had a delightful brunch at DTR SouthPark. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and was perfect for a date brunch. The staff was nice and engaging, offering menu suggestions, which I appreciate. We tried the cinnamon roll, which did not disappoint, and the breakfast selections we chose were full of flavor.

Came in for shared plates and drinks and had a great time. We sat on the patio to take advantage of the beautiful evening. We ordered bread service (lavender butter is OMG good!), croquettes and a Mezze platter. I loved the Age Before Beauty mocktail and was thrilled they had a whole mocktail section. The only thing that made it 4 instead of 5 stars for me was how small the short rib croquettes were. Our tab for 1 mocktail and 3 apps was $70.

So they have parking outside of the building or in the parking garage. It was very hard to find parking spots around 6pm due to heavy traffic of people coming and leaving. I had to circle around the block 3 times before I found one. I didn't feel like parking on the second floor of the garage. The staff and management are nice. Pretty decorations in the building. I remember coming here two summer ago and the food wasn't good. But decided to try it again tonight and it was good. The drinks were good but took a while to come out, I think because due to it being busy. The food was good although appetizers were not appetizer prices. It was like an entree price. Nothing bad to say about it besides the parking. It's in a nice area. I would come back.

Prosecco, octopus ? The menu contains various form of octopus. Grilled octopus was my fave. Where else can you got to get octopus ? My first drink was a Prosecco because I was feeling fancy. Then I switched to a cab. DTR. I will def come back.

We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table. We were a party of 2 so our table was in a cozy area near the bar and somewhat close behind the host stand. Our waiter took our drink and appetizer order. We started with the roasted oysters and pork belly. The pork belly is served with grilled watermelon, mint, and a balsamic reduction. It was mouth watering delicious! The oysters reminded us of escargot from the 80s served in rich garlicky butter and you would eat the escargot just to get to the butter. We mentioned this to one of the ladies at the host station. She asked if we have tried their bread, made in house topped with za'atar and served with a honey lavender butter? We had not so we ordered it and I still am thinking about that bread. As it turns out, we were chatting with Rachel, the Asst. Manager. She is absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable about food. We had a great conversation. From there, we moved on to entrees. I ordered the Sixty South Salmon. They do not play. It is an 8 oz portion of fish, cooked to medium which is absolutely perfect. The salmon is glazed with a ras el hanout infused honey, served with lemon over basmati fried rice. Their use of Mediterranean and Middle East spices and the floral notes they infuse in their honey is just amazing. We continued to chat off and on with Rachel who also introduced us to Orlaf, the Manager. We talked food and the Charlotte restaurant scene over the years. Everyone there, from the hostess, to the wait staff, to management are all lovely people. Their knowledge of food and the passion for what they do is amazing. I can't recommend the food enough. DTR SouthPark will definitely be a place we go back to again and again!

I don't know how fair of a review this is because we only ordered drinks here but considerate a review of the service and atmosphere. This is a very fancy restaurant and expect to pay close to $20 per drink. The drinks are cool because they do the bubble gun on them and the espresso martini was very good. The restaurant is very clean and they have some cool specialty cocktails. The staff was not very friendly, we were rushed to order then after our first round they never came back to check on us. I had to find someone to pay our check. If drinks are priced that high it would be great to have better service. At least they did taste very good!

The service was good, the food was okay. I never ever leave bad reviews off Yelp but our bill was a huge problem. We were charged for refills on Diet Coke without a heads up. I'd be surprised if they were bottles and if they were, they were not as small as the 10/12 oz glasses + ice-- bring them out to the bottle. One person at our table was drinking Diet Coke and was charged $10.50 We were also charged for soda water and soda water refills. Normally I'd say you don't even charge for that at all with a $500 bill. But since the soda water was ordered with bitters, I understand charging ONCE but not again for refills. And the cherry on the top is that martini drinkers were charged PER OLIVE. Egregious. Most of us work in the service industry or previously have and we understand that every single part of a business costs money, but don't put it on the bill. Increase your martini price instead of nickel and diming people for olives and soda water and Diet Coke and bitters. We won't be back.

I'll definitely be returning to taste more at the Southpark location of Dilworth Tasting Room! This is a great place for groups, and you can make a reservation online. My husband and I came with my parents, and we all enjoyed our drinks and sharing a variety of plates. My dad loves rum, so instead of ordering from the cocktail menu, he asked if the bartended could make him a Painkiller. Our very friendly server returned saying the bartender didn't have the coconut needed for that drink, but the bartender made my dad a great Mai Tai instead. Dad was happy! The rest of us ordered cocktails and wine by the glass from the menu, and all was nicely prepared. For food, we enjoyed the duck empanadas, proscuitto and brie flatbread, and seared tuna. And don't skip dessert! The coconut creme brulee was probably our fave bite of the night.

Only been here once and just for drinks, but had a great experience. DTR was highly recommended to us by a local. We stopped in on a weekday evening before going to a concert. I chose the London fog. The presentation of this drink was perfect. I loved the citrus bubble! They even gave me another one since it popped before I could take a video. I didn't even have to ask. They just noticed I was trying to record it and offered to do another one. I'm very appreciative this and their customer service alone encourages me to return next time I'm in Charlotte. The drink itself was okay. Now it may have been because I received two citrus bubbles, but the lemon was very overpowering. I had hoped the cardamom or Earl grey would be stronger than it was. It still tasted good, but I would order a different drink next time. It took me a while to decide on a drink since they have so many delicious sounding cocktails. Rabbit season was very tempting. We did feel rushed to order. Then after finishing our drinks, no one came over to ask if we wanted another or to offer the check. Eventually we got and found an employee for the check. Overall, positive experience at this upscale cocktail bar.

I had high hopes for this restaurant when I made a reservation for Valentine's Day, but…read moreunfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

The drinks are what really shine here but it was still very nice to have food to pick from since we were starving! Drinks: 4.8/5 - Same mixologist as the Cellar At Duckworths so i knew these dunes were going to be fire and i was correct. We got the paloma which was yummy with fresh grapefruit juice. I think i got the dirty collins which was a lighter drink but not overly sweet so it was perfecttt!! I was eyeing the pisco sour too but will have to try that next time. Service: 4.8/5 - Since it was their soft opening I either expected mediocre service or top of the line. Thankfully I received the latter! Saturn was a wonderful server who provided great recommendations for drinks and kept checking in on us. She was super sweet and hospitable! Vibes: 4.8/5 - definitely get a seat in the bar area if you can. It feels more intimate and cooler..! we were seated in the dining room which was still nice and more quiet but i think it would have been more fun for us personally to be closer to the bar to watch them make drinks and overlook the road by the windows. The place is just like a modern day cocktail lounge! Other: free parking garage in the same building! It is inside of Duckworth's but up the stairs.

Almost nothing was done in the style of a restaurant where a manager or employee would be overseeing plates coming from the kitchen to be served. We each ordered same burger- medium with crisp bacon. Each was well done with limp bacon. Burgers were overly salted. One plate, as in photo, had an end tomato slice that shouldn't have been served to a customer. There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.

We ended up getting two more glasses each of our favorites of the three (Lambrusco for the missus, Grüner Veltliner for me). As for food: I got the shrimp cocktail (4.5/5) and my GF got the lamb sliders (also 4.5/5). And we split a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which oddly enough to say, was the best Caesar salad we've ever had. Perfect dressing-to-lettuce ratio, the dressing was excellent, and the grilled chicken was perfect. And then we got 4 doughnuts for dessert. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

Ugh, I so wanted to LOVE this place! It's in my friend's neighborhood and near some other spots we…read morelove. But it just hit me as average. It's a small intimate setting and I do love the dark aesthetic they did. Gives it a swanky vibe and makes a great date spot. But they were burning incense in the tiny space and it was overwhelming. The other bar guests sitting next to us agreed. *They did finally pick up on it and the staff moved it toward the kitchen door* Staff was friendly as well, though, it was busy and looked as if they had a trainee in tow, so attention was lacking just a bit. So why we came: The drinks were average to me. One was weird (Pineapple Fried Rice) and I just couldn't get it sit well on my palate - and I tried - sip after sip. But the mixologist saw my struggle and swapped it out for a different one. I did like the Don't Shy Away - it was an interesting take on a margarita with a strong carrot base. The Whispering Dove was a take on a Paloma and I couldn't find the lemongrass infusion on my palate. So I found it pretty basic, but pricey. So overall, decent. And I might stop buy if I was stuck in the area again.
